When I first signed on at the "Tea Party's" offical answer to "Facebook"...I was immediately introduced to the part of the community call "SOUTHERN GENTELMEN"... we immediately entered into at first a heated exchange.. they said I was "confused" and "misinformed" by "Nothern" propaganda" and they made an attempt to be polite and said I was "idealistic".The subject matter is to real, and relavent I'm not being idealistic at all...but as real as this sensitive topic can be...picture the antagonists in your view of history President Lincoln vs Jeff Davis...one man's hero is another man's villain. Karl Marx is as far from Lincoln as anyone can be Barack Obama could not tie the man's shoe... Lincoln's legacy is History we in just over 165 yr have become the most prosperous and powerful "Unite States" and unquestionably the youngest and most powerful nation the world has ever known. That being said we arrived at this point because of victory over the worst form of terrony .... S L A V E R Y. The use of human beings as a "carpet" to stand while arguing the Geo/political fine points of states rights is wrong not a skewed view, but rather the truth this is the way you explained it. You can not reduce human suffering to the"inconsequential" subtext of the confrontation. That is about as real as it gets...The problem is if it is wrong now it was wrong then...Our form of Government was maintained and the Union secured...we have stumbled and strived and come this far by faith,and repentance as nation,and most of the Lord's churches that still hold to his word. Remember it was 20+ million (or less people) that were counted the same as cattle,sheep,pigs...property as measure of a man's "net worth"....IS W R O N G!! GOD DEALS IN ABSOLUTES NOT ABSTRACT ARGUMENTS BASED UPON MAN'S LOGIC.
I'm expressing how it feels from the "Mirror image" of our history same "Mirror" but the refection is "reversed"...the time of the "Grand ole South" maybe a "paradise" lost to the slave owner, but 'a walk through hell for the slave". Emotions will always run high on both sides of this "Mirror" that happens to be "OUR" nation. Sorry I can't join in with you and your fellow Southern Gentlemen who long for a return to that "glorious time"...I've come this far by faith leaning on the LORD. Trusting in his HOLY WORD HE"S never failed me yet. The Apostle Paul writes "Forgetting those things that are behind, I press forward to the high calling of GOD in CHRIST JESUS"...in detail it all boils down to a "Heart Issue" the LORD spoke through his prophet Jeremiah "The heart is deceitful and desperately wicked. Who can know it? I the LORD try the heart I try the reins and will JUDGE every man according to his doing". So that puts your "Motives" off limits to me or anyone else it is the exclusive domain of the LORD. ONLY remember JESUS agreed with what HE gave to JEREMIAH when HE said "JUDGE NOT LESS YE BE JUDGED"...but also said "YOU JUDGE A TREE BY THE FRUIT THAT IT BEARS" only the actions of a man can be judged that gives us our rule of law founded on the WORD OF GOD. Our motives and hidden agendas are between the individual and the LORD if they are in line with HIS WORD and principals great, if not our arms are to short to "BOX" with GOD.

Psychologically men do not fight wars for other races. they fight wars for their own nation and their own people. Southern soldiers fought for their country, their families and their independence.
By the way, Lincoln did not save a union. A union is something that people participate in willingly. Lincoln won a subjugation, not a union. I go deep into history, and I know the difference between the Lincoln history, and the Lincoln myth. Some people make him a god. I reject that, and others make him a devil I also reject that. What he was, was a politician. Tariffs, control of the Mississippi Waterways, West Coast Expansion, and yes, the railroad conglomerates and government revenue had far more to do with war that your slavery issue. Slavery was a dying institution. The concern was sectionalism. Sectionalism existed because there was a sectional power struggle. The issue of Kansas, Nebraska and the Western territories had to do with the fact that Northern control of new territories meant the dis-empowerment of the Southern States in both the Senate and Congress. Key issues seldom mentioned was the very real fear that the Southern states which already paid over 80 percent of the tariffs which also went for at least 80 percent of the Northern internal improvements of waterways and rail were finding themselves increasingly becoming mere colonies of the Northern Industrialists. Do you want more? I can give it to you all the way from Emerich de Vattels concepts on the laws of nations and sovereignty and free will, to the fact that confederations were unions of free will and not force. To those governing being able to govern by the consent of the governed a principal that was violated by invasion. The dishonesty has gone on far too long. With things like Jefferson Davis' executive order 14, To the seven year plan, and even before the war for Southern Independence was the fact that southern members of the American Colonization Society had manumitted and freed slaves in the hundreds of thousands honest students of history should know by now that the slavery issue was a war propaganda ploy to keep England and France from supporting the Southern Confederation.

Your Lincoln did not restore Union. The United States did not dare engage in any foreign wars until 1898 for fear that the Southern people would use the opportunity to regain their freedom. Union did return to our sections, but it was not Lincoln that did it. It was not until a common enemy in the form of German militancy presented itself that North and South once again began to join hands in common cause.
Oh by the way, it was not 20 million people who were counted as sheep as you allege There were 6 million blacks at the time of wars outbreak and about a half million were free blacks and of that a large percentage were slave owners. As for my country men treating them like pigs you should read the "Slave Chronicles" available through the Library of Congress". The former slaves themselves bore testimony that the consensus of my people were not the monsters that you people slanderously portray them
My people inherited the slavery institution, the Confederate Nation did not invent it. It was morally up to them to end it, and I am convinced that they would have done a better job of it than our conquerors. The Southern Industrial Revolution that came about during the war was bringing that institution to it's death knell. But that industrial revolution came to an end when my people's entire infrastructural was destroyed by the invading armies.
I may not be allowed to post blogs that are visible to everyone or that Tea Party members are even allowed to know exist or even read, but I speak as best as I can for a people that have no voice and have been subjected to every form of ungodly slander and series of self righteous lies.

The point (in context) is his achievements as a Pharisee and heritage as Jew were nothing compared to what he strived for...CHRIST!!
In the original translation it literally states "He counts it all dung (human waste) compared to what he sought in CHRIST"...
Your "pretext" is to win an argument armed with faulty or false information hoping your advasary knows less then you... unprincipled and unrighteous...again wrong...
