{freebeacon.com} ~ The United States is not equipped to combat Chinese or Russian hypersonic weapons that have the capacity to overwhelm American missile-defense systems... according to a senior Pentagon official. Michael Griffin, the under secretary of defense for research and engineering, said Tuesday the Pentagon has not deployed "adequate" defenses against the highly maneuverable and difficult-to-detect weapons being aggressively pursued by U.S. adversaries. Speaking at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, Griffin said the Defense Department will request more funding to develop lasers, high-powered microwaves, and other directed-energy weapons systems to counter hypersonic weapons and drone swarms. He said the United States hasn't invested in such "transformative capabilities" since the Reagan administration in the 1980s. "This is not a threat in the future," Griffin said. "If the United States is going to remain ahead, we have to reinvest. A generation or two has gone by since that era and other people are not stupid and other people do not stand still so it's time for us to get back to work." "You're going to see in upcoming budgets for missile defense a renewed emphasis on laser scaling across several technologies," he later added...  https://freebeacon.com/national-security/pentagon-u-s-lacks-adequate-defense-hypersonic-weapons/?utm_source=Freedom+Mail&utm_campaign=46f07c6b2a-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2018_11_13_11_23_COPY_122&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_b5e6e0e9ea-46f07c6b2a-45611665

To Investigate scumbag/liar-Clinton Foundation

{cnsnews.com} ~ Matthew Whitaker, the acting attorney general of the United States and a former U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Iowa... said in a 2016 interview that there is enough evidence "in the public domain" to warrant the appointment of a "special prosecutor" to investigate the scumbag/liar-Clinton Foundation. He added that the Foundation was "clearly a pay-to-play situation" where if you gave money to the Foundation, you got "preferential treatment" at the State Department, which was headed by Secretary of State scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton from 2009 to 2013. scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton's emailing of classified documents through her private computer server was a "serious" problem, but the "real ballgame" is "where scumbag/liar-Clinton Foundation donors were given preferential treatment," said Whitaker in an Aug. 25, 2016 interview with Breitbart News Daily. "It’s very interesting to watch the scumbag/liar-Clinton camp try to explain away these meetings," said Whitaker. "Fifty percent of the meetings she took with people that were not essentially employees or representatives of countries or the like, just sort of individuals that wanted to meet with the Secretary of State, 50 percent of those – as the AP has reported, more than 50 percent – were scumbag/liar-Clinton Foundation donors." “It is not possible for them to explain away that scumbag/liar-Clinton Foundation donors were given preferential treatment when it came to seeing the Secretary of State," he said...  https://www.cnsnews.com/blog/michael-w-chapman/acting-ag-whitaker-special-counsel-required-investigate-clinton-foundation

{freebeacon.com} ~ A recent wave of terror attacks on Israel by Palestinian militants is stoking fears in Washington, D.C., circles of a new Middle Eastern war... that could further enflame the region, according to U.S. officials who worry the renewed violence could derail the Trump administration's plans to foster peace. Palestinian terrorists have fired hundreds of rockets at Israeli civilians in recent days, fueling a temporary cease-fire that has deepened fears in the Trump administration that Israel will conduct a full scale—and they say warranted—incursion that would cripple hopes for a fragile peace process. As Israel deals with a worsening barrage of rocket attacks—which has totaled in the hundreds in the past several days, the worst violence since 2014—some in the Trump administration orbit are beginning to telegraph fears of a new Middle Eastern war between Israel and Hamas loyalists in the Gaza Strip and Southern Lebanon, where Iranian-backed militants have stockpiled scores of sophisticated arms. Israel, according to U.S. officials and others, is on the brink of unleashing a full-scale offensive attack on Hamas militants, with sources telling  Washington Free Beacon the Israelis "look ready" to undertake a formal incursion aimed at stopping the assault on Israeli civilians. The U.S. Congress is signaling it will stand by the Jewish state as it combats attacks from Palestinian militants, including those in the Gaza Strip operating on orders from Hamas...

{legalinsurrection.com} ~ The first large wave of the migrant caravan arrived in Tijuana early Tuesday morning. About 350 migrants, mostly from Central America... rolled into the border city on nine buses. Some hung out of bus windows and cheered; at least one Honduran flag fluttered outside a window. The migrants are reaching their final destination in Mexico amid inflamed tensions on both sides of the California-Mexico border. At the El Chaparral port of entry earlier Tuesday morning, people who have been waiting weeks to claim asylum said many migrant shelters along the border are at capacity. They expressed concern that the caravan would jeopardize their chances of entering the United States. Meanwhile, U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced it was closing some northbound vehicle lanes at the San Ysidro and Otay Mesa border crossings to prepare for the arrival of “thousands of people migrating in a caravan” toward the border. The agency said Department of Defense personnel were installing concertina wire and erecting barriers, barricades and fencing. The migrants left San Pedro Sula, Honduras about a month ago, fleeing poverty, gang violence and lawlessness. The group — which at its peak included some 7,000 people according to estimates by United Nations officials — has trekked through heat and hitched harrowing rides on the sides of trucks and tractor trailers. By the time the caravan reached Mexico City in early November, the caravan had shrunk to about 5,000. The group rested in a stadium in Mexico’s capital before leaving late last week to finish the journey to Tijuana...

Rubio Blasts Broward County
Officials For Election Law Violations

{dailycaller.com} ~ Senator Marco Rubio on Tuesday blasted the “level of incompetence”... displayed by Broward County election officials charged with recounting votes from Florida’s razor-thin Senate and gubernatorial races.  Rubio began his conversation with Fox News host Sean Hannity by listing several irregularities the county’s office has so far been responsible for, including “19 people who were disqualified from voting by their own canvassing board.” “So, it’s irregularity after irregularity,” said Rubio before explaining the role of “election lawyers” who have descended on Florida in the past week.“ As far as stealing is concerned, let me just make just one point on that,” said the Florida Senator. “The election lawyers are not coming to Florida to make sure every vote is counted. The reason why election lawyers get involved is to make sure as many votes as possible for their client is counted and as many votes as possible for their opponent is disqualified, and when you have an election office this incompetent and this lawbreaking it creates enormous opportunities for these sort of arguments to be made, and suddenly the election is decided by a judge or by lawyers, not by voters the way they are supposed to be.” The only recourse, said Rubio, is to have “scrutiny and transparency” and “watch it every step of the way.”...  https://dailycaller.com/2018/11/13/irregularity-after-irregularity-rubio-blasts-broward-county-officials-for-election-law-violations/?utm_medium=email

{jewishworldreview.com} ~ Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) had the best line when it comes to the latest Florida election in which contests for governor and the U.S. Senate are still undecided.

Rubio tweeted: "Bay County was hit by a Cat 4 Hurricane just 4 weeks ago, yet managed to count votes & submit timely results. Yet over 41 hours after polls closed #Broward elections office is still counting votes?"

With lawyers descending on the state in what looks to some like a replay of the 2000 "hanging chad" presidential election, an automatic recount has been triggered for both contests.

President Trump and other Republicans are crying foul and accusing Democrats of trying to "steal" the election. Given the history of voter fraud in this country and the heavily Democratic makeup of Broward and Palm Beach counties, their suspicions may be justified.

Vote-stealing isn't new. After the initial vote count in the 1948 Texas Senate race, which saw Lyndon Johnson losing to his opponent Coke Stevenson by 20,000 votes, previously "unreported precincts" and other "adjustments" were made in the vote totals. Johnson came out the winner by a mere 87 votes, earning him the derisive title "Landslide Lyndon."

In the 1960 presidential race, which saw the tightest popular vote margin since Grover Cleveland defeated James Blaine in 1884 by just 23,000 votes, Republicans claimed Richard Nixon was robbed. As Politico reported in a 2016 article, "In Illinois, John F. Kennedy won by just 8,800 votes, largely due to margins in Chicago, where Mayor Richard Daley -- a Kennedy stalwart -- tightly controlled the Cook County organization. In Texas, home of his running mate, Lyndon Johnson, the Kennedy-Johnson ticket won by a margin of 46,000. Had Nixon carried both states, he would have won the Electoral College, 270 to 252."

In the 2008 Minnesota Senate race between Republican incumbent Norm Coleman and Democrat scumbag-Al Franken, Coleman won the election by the narrowest of margins. According to CNN, "The initial count from the November 4 election put Coleman, a first-term senator, 215 votes ahead of
scumbagFranken." The slim margin triggered an automatic recount. The canvassing board finally determined that scumbagFranken "won by 225 votes."

After
scumbagFranken was sworn in, a conservative group called Minnesota Majority began investigating claims of voter fraud. The group found 1,099 felons, all of them ineligible, had voted. As John Fund and Hans von Spakovsky note in their book "Who's Counting?: How Fraudsters and Bureaucrats Put Your Vote at Risk," most felons favor Democrats when they can vote.

Which brings us back to Florida. With vote margins in the races for governor and Senate so tight, Republicans are worried that history will repeat itself.

Brenda Snipes, the supervisor of Elections in Broward County, has held her job for 15 years. Her history, to put it charitably, has been checkered. Last May, a judge ruled that Snipes violated federal and state election laws when she destroyed ballots in the 2016 congressional race in which Tim Canova lost a primary contest to incumbent Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

In August, a judge ordered Snipes to stop opening mail-in ballots in secret. Snipes has engaged in other behavior that has raised concerns about her competence and nonpartisanship, including again in 2016 when she "accidentally" posted election results 30 minutes before polls closed.

The recount process will be anything but pleasant. Snipes and others who are responsible for this dysfunctional, incompetent and possibly criminal behavior should be replaced, the sooner the better for Florida and for the country.
