Corruption Coverup – scumbag liar-Nadler
Schedules FBI Oversight Hearing With Chris
Wray on Same Day as Impeachment Vote
by sundance
{ theconservativetreehouse.com } ~ Good grief, could House Judiciary Chairman scumbag liar-Jerry Nadler be any more transparent with his intentions here? Knowing all eyes will be on the Senate impeachment vote at 4:00pm on the same day... Democrat Chairman scumbag liar-Nadler schedules the House oversight hearing on FBI (FISA Misconduct) for 10:00am Wednesday, February 5th, to bury it. FBI Director Christopher Wray has not been scheduled to face any questioning or public scrutiny by any legislative oversight body since the Inspector General report highlighted gross corruption and FBI misconduct in the December 9th, 2019, FISA report. Additionally, the DOJ/FBI response to the demands of the FISC were also extended to February 5th. The corrupt institutions, and the administrative state that surrounds them, are working overtime to avoid any exposure and national discussion about misconduct that should alarm everyone. Why? Because they targeted Donald Trump… So, bury it. Remember, the questions within this hearing are important. The DOJ/FBI has admitted they need to sequester all evidence in all cases that stemmed from the Carter Page Title-1 FISA surveillance warrant; and they are hunting for that information. A quiet oral request from the DOJ/FBI was noted in a late Friday release from FISA Court Presiding Judge James Boasberg a week ago...  https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2020/02/03/corruption-coverup-nadler-schedules-fbi-oversight-hearing-with-chris-wray-on-same-day-as-impeachment-vote/

{ theconservativetreehouse.com } ~ Senator Rand Paul appears to know a great deal about how the impeachment fraud was constructed... In this Fox News interview Rand Paul outlines that he is aware of six members of the National Security Council and scumbag/liar-Adam Schiff staff who appear to have coordinated their efforts to create the impeachment hoax over a year ago. Additionally, Senator Paul says he will have close discussions with President Trump about the serious FISA issues, including those used to target his administration, that DC refuses to consider. A very interesting interview.  https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2020/02/03/rand-paul-investigate-likelihood-six-members-of-adam-schiff-staff-and-nsc-planned-impeachment-in-advance/

Iran is increasingly using missiles

{ thehill.com } ~ “More important than a military strike, it was a serious blow to dignity, a blow to the dignity of the U.S. as a superpower.”... That’s how Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s supreme leader, described recent missile strikes against bases in Iraq housing American troops during a rare Friday prayer sermon in Tehran last week. Earlier, Khamenei likened the strikes to a “slap” against America. While Iranian officials are no stranger to bombast and invective against the U.S., Iran’s broadcasting of the missile strike, and Khamenei’s repeated touting of it, does not neatly comport with Tehran’s long-established preference for proxy warfare and deniability. Driven by more than a decade of investment in projectile accuracy, there is increasing comfort in Tehran with direct, public and attributable attacks against targets in the Middle East using ballistic missiles launched from Iranian territory. As Iran’s military aptitudes evolve, the prevalence of missiles in Iranian operations will only grow. Iran’s ballistic missile salvo, which by popular accounts were spread out over the course of an hour, constituted Tehran’s long-hyped  “hard revenge” against Washington for the killing of Major General Qassem Soleimani, the former commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Quds-Force.  According to the U.S. secretary of defense, this reprisal was composed of 16 short-range ballistic missiles (SRBMs) fired from three locations in Iran at two bases in Iraq, with 11 striking the Al-Asad base in the west and one striking a base in Irbil, in the north. Iranian outlets reported that the regime launched two kinds of SRBMs at the bases in Iraq. The first was allegedly a Fateh-313, which is an SRBM propelled by solid compound fuel with a reported range of 500 kilometers capable of terminal-stage guidance. Experts assess the Fateh-313 to be able to carry a payload of 450-650 kilograms. The second  was the Qiam, a liquid fueled SRBM that is a finless  variant of a Scud-C. The Qiam is capable of traveling 800 kilometers while carrying a payload of up to 650 kilograms...

{ fairus.org } ~ The Trump administration’s decision to expand the definition of a “public charge” has been given the green light by the nation’s highest court. After mixed decisions by appellate courts throughout the country... Solicitor General Noel Francisco urged the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) to lift the lower court’ injunctions while the appeals process continued. On Monday, in a 5-4 decision, the Court ruled in favor of the government, permitting the regulation to go in effect as the case worked its way through the judicial process. To recap, in August of last year, the government released their final rule on public charges. Under the new regulations, United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will evaluate applicants using many factors such as: age, health, family status, financial status, educational attainment, and skills. These factors will be reviewed by a totality of the circumstances test to determine if an individual could become primarily dependent on a designated list of state and federal programs including, but not limited to, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), and public housing. Some of the programs that will not be considered by the final rule include disaster relief, school lunch programs, and the Child Health Insurance Program (CHIP). While not ruling on the merits of the case, Justice Neil Gorsuch issued a concurring opinion criticizing the abuse of nationwide injunctions by federal judges. Gorsuch, joined by Justice Clarence Thomas, stated that the "real problem" in the case is the "increasingly common practice of trial courts ordering relief that transcends the cases before them.” In those situations, he wrote, "it is hard to see how the court could still be acting in the judicial role of resolving cases and controversies." Lower courts will continue to hear lawsuits on the public charge rule in the coming months. As such, it is likely that the Supreme Court will review the issue again. The regulation is expected to go into effect on February 24.  https://www.fairus.org/legislation/federal-legislation/scotus-permits-public-charge-regulation-go-effect?eType=EmailBlastContent&eId=eca4cb27-d7ec-4225-a38c-3b1e243f6f4e

{ algemeiner.com } ~ Terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip are reportedly on high alert as tensions rise in Israel’s south after a series of rocket attacks over the weekend... with Palestinian Islamic Jihad leaders going into hiding for fear of targeted assassinations. Palestinian sources told leading Israeli daily Yediot Ahronot that the terror group’s leaders are changing their daily routines and moving clandestinely from place to place, fearing that the IDF will locate and kill them in retaliation for the spate of rocket attacks. Islamic Jihad, which is primarily sponsored by Iran, is particularly fearful because the group has been responsible for the majority of the rocket attacks that have taken place recently, and believes the head of their “Gaza Brigade,” Khalil al-Bahtini, is the most likely target for an assassination attempt. Bahtini belongs to a family affiliated with Islamic Jihad and has survived several Israeli assassination attempts in the past. Palestinian sources told Yediot that he has been groomed for a top post by the terror group from an early age, and was trained extensively by Iran. Three months ago, Israel killed the commander of Islamic Jihad’s “northern division,” Baha Abu al-Ata, further raising the terror group’s concerns. The sources told Yediot that Islamic Jihad is not the only terror group that fears further Israeli retaliation. Hamas, which rules the Strip, has suffered far more significant losses in recent days than is widely known. The IDF, say the sources, has struck two “strategic” underground installations used by the terror group, and the damage done to Hamas as a result was described as severe. Hamas has enforced complete silence over the extent of the damage, and Israeli officials have described the retaliatory attacks in relatively banal terms. Nonetheless, Hamas appears determined to continue allowing rocket fire by other terror factions in Gaza, as well as sponsoring the use of explosive balloons flown over the border into Israel.   https://www.algemeiner.com/2020/02/02/report-gaza-terror-groups-fear-israeli-retaliation-after-rocket-attacks-islamic-jihad-leaders-go-into-hiding/?utm_content=news1&utm_medium=daily_email&utm_campaign=email&utm_source=internal/

Arnold Ahlert:  Charles Lieber, chair of Harvard University’s Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology, was charged last Tuesday with lying about payments he’d taken from Communist China’s “Thousand Talents Plan,” which is an effort to recruit researchers. Two Chinese nationals were also charged. Yanqing Ye, a Boston University robotics researcher, was charged with lying about her position as a lieutenant in the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, and Zaosong Zheng, a cancer researcher at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, was arrested in December for allegedly attempting to smuggle research samples out of the country. “No country poses a greater, more severe or long-term threat to our national security and economic prosperity than China,” stated  Boston FBI agent Joseph Bonavolonta. “China’s communist government’s goal, simply put, is to replace the U.S. as the world superpower, and they are breaking the law to get there.”

Indeed. And like so many other Americans whose concerns for personal gain apparently transcend concerns for our nation, Leiber had quite a lucrative deal going for himself. According to prosecutors, Lieber was paid $50,000 a month by the Wuhan University of Technology in China and received up to $158,000 in additional living expenses. He was also awarded more than $1.5 million to establish a research lab at the Chinese university. In exchange, Lieber was expected to publish articles, apply for patents on behalf of the Chinese university, and organize international conferences, all with the intent of helping China become proficient in cutting-edge science.

When confronted, Lieber gave “false, fictitious, and fraudulent statements” to both the Department of Defense (DOD) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) regarding his participation in the Thousand Talents Plan, according to a charging document written by an FBI agent. That would be the same Thousand Talents Plan the U.S. government has designated as a threat to national security.

The DOD and NIH also provided Lieber with $15 million in grant funding, which required him to disclose any ties to foreign funding, and his deception caused Harvard to make false statements to the NIH about Lieber’s work with the Chinese.

Yanqing Ye, who has apparently fled to China, is wanted  for acting as an agent of a foreign government, visa fraud, making false statements, and conspiracy. In addition to being a People’s Liberation Army lieutenant (a fact she failed to disclose when applying for a U.S. visa), a search of her electronic devices allegedly revealed Ye obtained information about two U.S. residents with expertise in robotics and computer science.

Zaosong Zheng, who obtained a visa sponsored by Harvard University in 2019, was arrested at Boston’s Logan International Airport in December, while attempting to smuggle 21 vials of cancer-research material out of the country. Zheng, who stole the vials from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, allegedly hid them in a sock in his suitcase. Like Ye, the FBI alleges Zheng was also working for the Chinese government. Deemed a flight risk, he is being held without bail.

Both Harvard and Beth Israel are cooperating with authorities.

“The arrest of Charles M. Lieber, the chair of Harvard’s department of chemistry and chemical biology, signaled a new, aggressive phase in the Justice Department’s campaign to root out scientists who are stealing research from American laboratories,” The New York Times  reports.

It also validates a bipartisan report by the Senate investigations committee revealing “how the American taxpayer has, in effect, unwittingly funded research that has contributed to China’s global rise over the past 20 years,” Sen. Rob Portman (R-OH) stated last November.

The American taxpayer? Breitbart’s Neil Munro provides a far more accurate description: “Careless elites in government and in universities help the Chinese government steal U.S. technology and get taxpayer funding for Chinese research.”

The report’s co-chair, Sen. Tom Carper (D-DE), also addressed the “lax oversight of federal research grants and the ineffective and mixed messages agencies have been delivering to schools and researchers.” Yet he was as myopic as Portman, further insisting that America should not abandon international collaboration with regard to science and technology. “As China’s aggressive efforts show,” he said, “our scientists, research institutions, and universities remain the best in the world and serve as a magnet for talented people looking to do meaningful, cutting-edge work.”

Not quite, Sen. Carper. China’s efforts show it’s determined to achieve global supremacy — by any means necessary.

Yet, for the American Left, President Donald Trump’s increased vetting is tantamount to racism. “The push to stanch China’s well-documented and costly theft of U.S. innovation and know-how has also raised questions about overzealous prosecutors and racial profiling,” Bloomberg News columnists Janelle Lawrence, Chris Dolmetsch, and Malathi Nayak assert.

Would Americans prefer a more lackadaisical approach toward a nation described by Victor Davis Hanson as one well known for “its gulag-like reeducation camps, its systematic mercantile cheating, its Orwellian surveillance apparatus, its serial public-health crises, and its primitive hinterland infrastructure”?

Unfortunately, for our elitists in government and business, the answer is yes. And in a speech given on October 13, 2016, candidate Donald Trump illuminated exactly why, saying, “There is nothing the political establishment will not do, and no lie they will not tell, to hold on to their prestige and power at your expense.”

Conspiratorial? Ask the millions of Americans living in outsourcing-ravaged communities. The same ones expected to abide poverty, hopelessness, and rampant drug addiction in exchange for cheap consumer goods — while being ridiculed on national television by a trio of elitist hacks.

“Western elites often harangue about misdemeanors when they cannot address felonies — a strange sort of psychological penance that excuses their impotence,” Hanson asserts.

Can’t, or won’t? And what if that impotence — impotence that invariably elevates avarice over national security — is by design?

Energy Policy That Wins
x8LgxQRG5NwScUTru-OtTsah20MuUyURtFvYwpXU6Ncvg1sIaJMGSljDLKA3KpZS4uTJLmx7EKqDMsqfCIy-BNWJWPMWEIjc6tYNJq6yForwnyrqTlHvJ1VbLBlHKwMqt8v0DnE1cSnvCGF1preLDElJuQlfHL6fc6JJBPk=s0-d-e1-ft#%3Ca%20rel%3Dnofollow%20href=?profile=RESIZE_710x
Robin Smith:  Every president since Richard Nixon has promised energy independence to Americans as a measure of national security. Promises and pledges have come and gone from the White House since the 1970s — but now, the United States of America is an exporter of crude oil as well as natural gas and, yes, Americans can be declared energy independent.

According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (USEIA), “In November 2019, the United States became a net exporter of all oil products, including both refined petroleum products and crude oil.”

For the very reasons eight presidents prior to Donald Trump promised this energy autonomy, it’s now evidenced with the stability of oil prices that no longer wildly fluctuate with every world event.

Middle East policy has become more shaped by those drilling in Pennsylvania, North Dakota, and Texas. Yet leftists still declare, “We just can’t drill our way out of the problem.” Well, that’s exactly what happened.

Despite, not because of, the policies of the scumbag/liar-nObama administration, exploration, drilling, and fracking for natural gas and oil expanded with no appearance of turning back as the Trump administration approved last week the Keystone Pipeline right of way for a crucial 46-mile stretch controlled by the Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Keystone was first proposed in 2008, but faced repeated rejections during the Obama years. This approval permits the $8 billion construction project expected to move up to 35 million gallons of crude oil every day from western Canada to terminals on the U.S. Gulf Coast.

What does this mean to average Americans?

According to economist Stephen Moore, “At least $1 trillion of U.S. economic output is related to the shale revolution,” with more than 1.5 million Americans working in the industry. A separate study by the American Petroleum Institute cites at least four million jobs connected to the shale oil and gas energy transformation that include work in construction, engineering, pipe fitting, steel production, trucking, and sales jobs.

Specifically, Michigan and Ohio together have more than 400,000 workers tied to the shale industry, with Pennsylvania home to an additional 320,000 alone. Colorado and Florida each have more than 200,000 oil and gas workers. It’s obvious that these states hold not only precious natural resources but critical voters that serve as the fuel for the engine of 2020 politics.

While these states are the heart of the shale industry, Texas has more than two million employees of gas and oil companies. Add to that the coal workers who showed up in 2016 from Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio supporting Trump. He embraces an all-of-the-above approach to energy that includes fossil fuels, nuclear, solar, and renewables, but without the subsidies propping up the green industry.

It’s obvious that fossil fuels and nuclear energy are not welcomed in the Democrat Party, as evidenced by the lineup of presidential candidates whose policies would stall the American economic engine, killing millions of jobs while massively increasing prices.

As Salena Zito and Brad Todd wrote in their book, The Great Revolt: Inside the Populist Coalition Reshaping American Politics, those who are red-blooded and blue-collared are now the GOP — yes, it’s a Growing Opportunity Party. As the elections inch closer, expect effective reminders that Democrats view those who cling to their God and guns as “deplorable,” as well as disdain all who see the value in America being first in energy exploration and production. That might be called #Winning for conservatives.   ~The Patriot Post
