by oann.com ~ President Trump is taking aim at Michael Flynn’s case and the impeachment inquiry. He took to Twitter on Saturday to defend Flynn... noting the new claim that FBI agents manipulated records against the former National Security adviser was just the beginning of a “massive story of injustice and treason.”  Earlier this week, Flynn filed a motion against the FBI for an alleged entrapment scheme. The filing claimed the Intelligence Community tampered with Flynn’s 2017 interview records, which led him to be charged for lying to the FBI about his Russian contacts. President Trump said the setup of Flynn highlights the Department of Justice’s double standard. He noted they largely stayed silent in the face of scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton’s suspicious behavior. President Trump took aim at the impeachment inquiry, saying the Ukraine investigation is “just as corrupt and fake as all of the other garbage that went on before it.” The president blasted scumbag-Adam Schiff, saying the representative presented a parodied version of Ukraine phone call because he couldn’t find fault with the real one. “The conversation I had was perfect,” stated President Trump. “scumbag-Schiff He went before the United States Congress and he said a made-up story — he totally fabricated it.” The president said he believes the impeachment case is falling apart, claiming the investigation is a “witch hunt.” He further called for Democrats to “end this scam now.”

{ freebeacon.com } ~ A legal organization has filed a series of requests to compel American universities to turn over documents... that it suspects will shine light on efforts by Qatar to peddle influence and push anti-Israel bias in U.S. public schools, according to a copy of public records requests obtained by the Washington Free Beacon. The Lawfare Project, a legal group that provides services to the pro-Israel community, has filed document requests to compel Middle Eastern studies departments at the University of North Carolina and Duke University to turn over documents related to the alleged promotion of curricula sponsored by Qatar Foundation International, a partially state-funded organization that has helped Doha spend an estimated $1 billion pushing the Middle Eastern nation's priorities. The Lawfare Project suspects these documents will reveal how Qatar has worked to spread its propaganda inside the American education system. The organization is seeking public  records from UNC regarding any potential involvement by Qatar and its proxies in teacher training programs sponsored by the Duke-UNC Center for Middle Eastern Studies. The document requests come as the Department of Education investigates how some $235,000 in federal funds were used to organize a series of anti-Israel events jointly held by Duke and UNC. The events have sparked questions from lawmakers and others into the relationship between these American universities and nations such as Qatar that spend millions to influence the U.S. education system. The Education Department is also investigating teacher-training programs Duke held through its Islamic Studies Center and Middle East Studies Center underwritten by QFI. Critics say these programs promote anti-Israel bias and unfairly portray the Jewish state. Qatar has "spent billion of dollars in the U.S. trying to influence not just colleges … but also public schools and police departments," Gregg Roman, chief operations officer of the Middle East Forum—which promotes American interests and western values in the Middle East—said during a recent conference on Qatar's influence operations. QFI is said to have been integral to spreading influence abroad. "Qatar has become the single highest foreign funder of American universities," Oren Litwin of the Middle East Forum's Islamist Money in Politics Project said at the same conference...

{ news.usni.org } ~ A Virginia-class submarine, the second America-class amphibious warship and a Littoral Combat Ship marked significant production milestones last weekend the service annouced... On Friday, the Navy accepted delivery of the future fast attack submarine, USS  Delaware (SSN-791), the eighth and final Virginia-class Block III submarine being built. Delaware’s commissioning is scheduled for April 4, 2020. The Block III Virginia-class submarines, when compared to the Block I and Block II subs, 12 individual vertical launch tubes with two large-diameter Virginia Payload Tubes that each can launch six Tomahawk cruise missiles, according to Naval Sea Systems Command. The Block III submarines also have a water-backed large-aperture bow sonar array in places of the traditional air-backed spherical array. “Delaware’s delivery marks the culmination of millions of man-hours of work by thousands of people across this country to bring the world’s foremost undersea asset to the fleet,” said a statement from Capt. Christopher Hanson, the Virginia-Class Submarine program manager. “This next-generation attack submarine provides the Navy with the capabilities required to maintain the nation’s undersea superiority.” In Pascagoula, Miss., the future amphibious warship Tripoli (LHA-7) completed acceptance trials, NAVSEA announced. Tripoli is the second ship in the America-class built without a well deck, and instead has an enlarged hangar deck and realigned and expanded aviation maintenance facilities. “The capability that our large deck amphibs bring to the fight is tremendous,” said a statement from Tom Rivers, the amphibious warfare program manager for Program Executive Office (PEO) Ships. “Their ability to embark Joint Strike Fighters and MV-22 Osprey enable this versatile platform to increase the lethality of our expeditionary warfighters.” The Navy expected Tripoli to join the fleet this fall. However, the shipbuilder, Huntington Ingalls Industries pushed back its delivery while it fixed some technical design issues, USNI News previously reported...  https://news.usni.org/2019/10/28/navy-marks-progress-on-three-new-warships-hulls?utm_source=USNI+News&utm_campaign=115aee3fbd-USNI_NEWS_DAILY&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_0dd4a1450b-115aee3fbd-231491269&mc_cid=115aee3fbd&mc_eid=3999f18767

{ washingtonexaminer.com } ~ The House of Representatives will vote to formalize the impeachment proceedings against President Trump, liar-Nancy Pelosi announced in a letter Monday... The inquiry into the president's July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is set for Thursday, senior House Democratic aides told NPR. The GOP has expressed frustration with Democrats for not holding such a vote. The resolution, which will be introduced in the House Rules Committee, will be the first vote the House takes as a whole regarding the authorization of the proceedings. "This week, we will bring a resolution to the Floor that affirms the ongoing, existing investigation that is currently being conducted by our committees as part of this impeachment inquiry, including all requests for documents, subpoenas for records, and testimony, and any other investigative steps previously taken or to be taken as part of this investigation," liar-Pelosi's letter reads. "The resolution establishes the procedure for hearings that are open to the American people, authorizes the disclosure of deposition transcripts, outlines procedures to transfer evidence to the Judiciary Committee as it considers potential articles of impeachment, and sets forth due process rights for the President and his Counsel," it continued. A number of House committees have been conducting interviews and hearing testimonies from individuals related to the president's phone call with Zelensky where he requested the foreign leader investigate former Vice President loose lips liar-Joe Biden and his son Hunter for the younger Biden's work on a Ukrainian company. Republican North Carolina Rep. Mark Meadows, one of Trump's most ardent backers, called the upcoming vote "rich," because the Democrats have "spent weeks conducting interviews in secret, leaking their own talking points while locking down any and all information that benefits the President."

{ freebeacon.com } ~ Hedge fund manager Michael Bills and his wife Sonjia Smith, the largest sources of individual political donations this cycle in Virginia... used a green energy PAC to push money to Democratic candidates. Bills—a former Goldman Sachs VP who now runs the Bluestem Asset Management LLC hedge fund—and Smith have spent over $2 million on the Virginia elections. The donations came through direct contributions to Democratic candidates as well as large investments in the Clean Virginia Fund, a PAC purportedly focused on fighting energy monopolies that has given predominately to Democrats. The couple has made more political donations in the past two years than in the previous decade. From 2008 to 2017, Bills gave just over $1 million to Virginia candidates and causes while Smith gave about $1.5 million. In 2018 and 2019, Bills cut checks for slightly more than $2 million while Smith donated roughly $1 million, according to the Virginia Public Access Project, a website that tracks political spending in the state. Bills's direct contributions to Democratic campaigns range from $2,000 to $90,000. In addition to writing five-figure checks to Democratic candidates, Bills founded the nonprofit Clean Virginia, which operates in tandem with a political action committee, Clean Virginia Fund. Both organizations are focused on targeting the state's largest energy provider, Dominion Energy. Bills provided 90 percent of all donations to the PAC, while 25 other donors provided the remaining 10 percent. "In 2018, I founded Clean Virginia in an attempt to offset the undue and harmful influence that Dominion Energy and other utility monopolies have over Virginia politics," a statement from Bills on the Clean Virginia website says... Why don't Bill and Sonjia donate to fix the homeless issue rather then the PAC.   https://freebeacon.com/politics/dem-megadonor-using-clean-energy-pac-as-front-to-turn-virginia-blue/?utm_source=Freedom+Mail&utm_campaign=ff91849626-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2019_10_28_09_56_COPY_258&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_b5e6e0e9ea-ff91849626-45611665

Sweden: What to Do About Gang Violence?

{ gatestoneinstitute.org } ~ "Since 2015, 32 people have been shot dead in 30 separate acts in Malmö's latest murder wave. Our survey of the murders shows that more than 120 young men are linked to them in different ways"... according to a recent series of reports about gang violence in the Swedish mainstream newspaper,  Sydsvenskan. "There is much talk about 'gang wars' in Malmö," the report relates. "Nothing indicates that there are fixed groupings with hierarchical structures and regulated activities in Malmö's crime world. Rather, on the contrary -- everything can be seen as one single gang. And there is civil war within the gang. We have mapped 200 criminals in the city. Most of them know each other - they have grown up together, been schoolmates, shared housing and moved in the same circles. Of these, we have selected 20 men for closer examination. Either because they are suspected of having shot, planned or otherwise contributed to the murders. Or that they themselves have fallen victim. And for being identified... as central people in Malmö's crime world in recent years. At least 18 of the murders have, according to our review, occurred within the relatively narrow circle of these 20 men". The report then mentions that "17 of the 20 surveyed men have Swedish citizenship and 14 are born in Sweden." "Almost everyone has parents who have come here mainly from the Middle East and Africa. Altogether, they have been convicted of at least 180 crimes -- everything from driving a car without a driver's license to robbery, weapons crimes, assault and murder. One of them is on Europol's list of our continent's most wanted criminals, suspected of having ordered two murders... Half of them have parents who are also convicted of crimes. Drug crimes, harassment, money laundering, theft, smuggling and serious abuse. But there are also examples of parents with stable incomes and an academic background". In Sweden, crucial societal issues, such as who is behind the current crime epidemic, are a public taboo. Swedish authorities have only published statistics about the ethnic backgrounds of criminals twice: in 1996 and in 2005. In 2017, Minister of Justice Morgan Johansson -- who is also Minister of Justice and Migration in the current Swedish government -- refused to publish statistics about the ethnic origins of criminals in Sweden. "So the political conclusions that I need to make, I can already make with existing international and Swedish studies," he said at the time. The majority of the political parties in the Swedish parliament agreed with him. They said they did not think such a statistic was needed...   https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/15090/sweden-gang-violence

President Trump says he wants to get our troops out of the “blood-stained sand” of the Middle East.

Most sane Americans would agree with that goal and hope he’s successful.

Unfortunately, the people in charge of our foreign policy are not sane, as they proved after Trump yanked a few dozen U.S. soldiers out of Northern Syria.

Trump’s sensible decision to let the Turks, Syrians and Russians figure out how to police their own backyards without our help brought him strong criticism from every political side.

Democrats and the liberal media’s pundits railed against it, but so what? They’re automatically against anything Trump does.

The president also got heavy bipartisan grief for allegedly betraying the Kurds, our trusted and state-less allies who lost 11,000 of their soldiers while helping us and Syrian democratic rebel forces defeat Isis.

Retired military leaders — many of the same ones who’ve been mismanaging our wars in Iraq and Afghanistan since 9/11 — and the neoconservative hawks in the Republican Party blasted Trump.

They said what he did was a naïve, stupid, irresponsible move that will empower Russia and make other countries distrust America’s word and its will.

As usual, the professional interventionists in Washington whom Democrat congresswoman and presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard calls “warmongers” are predicting that many terrible things will happen in Syria without American soldiers present to keep the peace.

Isis supposedly will regain its strength. The Kurds living in northern Syria — the ones Turkey considers terrorists — will suffer greatly.

Plus, our troop withdrawal will supposedly spark new fighting between the countries, kingdoms, ethnic groups, religious sects, political factions, tribes and street gangs that have been slaughtering each other in the Middle East for at least 3,000 years.

It’s hard to take this week’s hysteria about Trump’s decision seriously, especially when it comes from the Democrats and the liberal media who watched quietly as Barrack scumbag/liar-nObama and his team made bloody messes of Libya and Syria and mismanaged our wars in Iraq and Afghanistan for eight years.

It’s been clear for many decades that America will never fix what’s wrong with the Middle East.

About 20 years ago I asked Col. David Hackworth, one of the country’s most decorated soldiers and an expert on warfare and the structure of the U.S. military, “When will there be peace in the Middle East?”

“When they’re all dead,” was his answer.

What did he think America’s policy should be in the Middle East?

We should arm everyone to the teeth, build a 100-foot wall around the region, go away and wait till everyone there kills each other.

“Hack,” who died in 2005, was not kidding.

Based on ancient and modern history, it was easy for him to predict what the Middle East would look like today — a perpetual war zone ruled by brutal dictators and Muslim extremists and crawling with lunatic terrorist organizations like Al-Qaeda and Isis.

Trump claims pulling U.S. soldiers from Syria and letting the Russians sort things out between the Kurds and the Turks will bring peace in the long run.

He obviously has no idea what will actually happen. But no one else in Washington does, either.

Our military doesn’t know. Our state department doesn’t know. Lindsay Graham doesn’t know. Neither do dinkt/liar-Liz, loose lips liar-Joe and commie-Bernie and their anonymous foreign policy experts.

So far, the blood and treasure America has spent trying to bring peace, democracy and prosperity to the political chaos and religious madness of the Middle East has been tragically wasted.

Col. Hackworth believed fighting and making war is part of the Middle East’s DNA and America can do nothing with our military or economic power to change that.

President Trump seems to believe that too.

In any case, whatever he has done or not done correctly in a small corner of Syria won’t matter in the long run. The Middle East will be a bloody and uncivilized part of the world for another hundred years, at least.
