US will leave Paris climate accord, Trump administration tells UN, starting
one-year timetable for withdrawal

{ washingtonexaminer.com } ~ The Trump administration is starting the process of leaving the Paris climate agreement, setting in motion a long-anticipated move to become the first country to exit the pact... The State Department filed a notice Monday of its intention to the U.N. secretary-general. Under the terms of the agreement, the United States had to wait until Monday to submit the paperwork even though President Trump announced in June 2017 that he rejected the deal. "President Trump made the decision to withdraw from the Paris Agreement because of the unfair economic burden imposed on American workers, businesses, and taxpayers by U.S. pledges made under the Agreement," Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in a statement. Filing the paperwork starts a one-year countdown for the actual withdrawal that can become official one day after the November 2020 presidential election. That one-year lag could provide an opportunity for other countries to persuade Trump to change his mind, but that’s unlikely given his long-standing opposition. Still, the State Department will continue to send delegations to international climate talks in the meantime, including this December’s technical negotiations held by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. "In international climate discussions, we will continue to offer a realistic and pragmatic model — backed by a record of real world results — showing innovation and open markets lead to greater prosperity, fewer emissions, and more secure sources of energy," Pompeo said. { foxnews.com } ~ House Republicans plan to call Intelligence Committee Chairman scumbag-Adam Schiff as one of their first witnesses in the impeachment inquiry against President Trump... following the adoption of formal rules for the investigation, claiming he is a “fact witness” due to his office's early involvement with the whistleblower whose complaint sparked the proceedings. A source familiar with Republicans’ strategy moving forward in the impeachment inquiry confirmed to Fox News on Monday that GOP members plan to call scumbag-Schiff, D-Calif., for questioning -- even if they are unlikely to succeed. The source told Fox News that Republicans want answers to questions like: “How many times did he meet with the whistleblower? What did they advise the whistleblower to do? How much was scumbag-Schiff involved in this? Did he recommend the whistleblower give the complaint to the intelligence community inspector general, even though there was no intel component, so that he could be involved?” scumbag-Schiff maintains that he has not personally spoken with the anonymous whistleblower. However, it was revealed several weeks ago that the whistleblower at least had early contact with his office, essentially giving them a heads-up about the complaint concerning Trump's July phone call with Ukraine's president. Regarding that early discussion, the GOP source noted that Republicans could be interested in hearing from the “anonymous” scumbag-Schiff staffer involved. Republicans' effort to devise a strategy going forward comes after the House approved rules for the process last week. While Republicans opposed the resolution and complained the rules were unfair, they still gave minority Republicans the ability to subpoena witnesses, with the concurrence of Democratic committee chairs. If the chair does not consent, the minority can appeal to the full committee. This process still gives Democrats final say over witnesses, however, and the GOP source acknowledged it's unlikely they would go along with the efforts to call scumbag-Schiff -- who is essentially leading the impeachment probe. But GOP lawmakers for days had telegraphed that they were interested in making the attempt....
House committees release first transcripts from closed-door impeachment hearings

{ washingtonexaminer.com } ~ House committees have released two transcripts from private hearings related to impeachment proceedings against President Trump... The transcripts, made available Monday, include the questioning of Michael McKinley, a former senior adviser to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch. In a press release about the transcripts, committee leaders scumbag-Adam Schiff, scumbag-Eliot Engel, and Carolyn Maloney, noted that this is the first step in taking the impeachment investigation public. “As we move towards this new public phase of the impeachment inquiry, the American public will begin to see for themselves the evidence that the committees have collected,” they wrote. “With each new interview, we learn more about the president’s attempt to manipulate the levers of power to his personal political benefit.” These transcripts are the first full hearings to be released, though several details were leaked by members inside the proceedings. McKinley, who resigned from his position advising Pompeo, claimed he was “disturbed” by Trump’s request for dirt on 2020 presidential hopeful loose lips liar-Joe Biden. Yovanovitch had been a critic of Trump before her testimony before Congress took place, leaving the president to claim, “She would not accept me as the new president.” These are just the first of several transcripts to be released. On Sunday, California Democratic Rep. Jackie Speier claimed most of the transcripts would be available to the public by the end of the week.

{ jpost.com } ~ Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar said in a speech on Monday that, "we have a military force in the Gaza Strip that the enemy is making a big deal for... We have hundreds of kilometers of tunnels, hundreds of control rooms above and below the ground, thousands of anti-tank missiles and thousands of mortar shells." He added that, "we can turn the enemy cities into ghost towns if they decide to attack us." According to him, what would not happen with words would happen with fire and weapons. "The whole world must know that in Gaza there are about 70,000 armed young men from all the Palestinian factions, and we have young people who believe in the Palestinian cause and will achieve the purpose of the people," he said. Sinwar continued: "We saw that the Zionist enemy was ruled by an extreme Right, seizing the opportunity to make Al Aqsa Mosque Jewish and destroy its foundations from within." He noted that, "the US administration moved its embassy to Jerusalem and declared it the capital of the occupying entity and there were leaks from the century deal, which meant pushing the Palestinian issue." "The blockade and strangulation on the Gaza Strip has come to kill Gaza and its residents - and yet we have accomplished a lot over the last two years," he said. Sinwar said that Hamas won't allow the "humanitarian crisis" in the coastal enclave to continue. "We won't wait for too long," he said. Israel, he said, "should prepare for something big." He said that resolving the "humanitarian crisis" in the Gaza Strip should be at the top of the agenda of Israeli leaders. The crisis "has affected all walks of life because of the blockade and sanctions imposed on the Gaza Strip," he added. "The blockade aims to force our people to surrender and revolt against the Palestinian resistance." Sinwar said that Hamas has told the Egyptian mediators that it will "strike at Tel Aviv for six full months" unless the crisis is resolved. "We have hundreds of kilometers of tunnels and thousands of anti-armored weapons and locally made rockets," the Hamas leader said. "The missiles manufactured in the Gaza Strip will crush the world's most powerful tanks, turning them into burnt iron," Sinwar claimed. Addressing recent developments in the political field, he said: "Our stance has led to the uprooting of the Israeli government and Liberman, and we brought about a crisis that not even two elections could solve. Maybe they'll have a third one." Sinwar revealed that Hamas has formed an "operations room" together with 13 Palestinian groups in to repel any Israeli military operation in the Gaza Strip. Two Democrats Mention 'Bribery'
As Possible Reason to Impeach Trump

{ cnsnews.com } ~ The desire to impeach President Donald Trump requires a solid basis to do so, and if "quid pro quo" isn't enough, how about "bribery?"... Two Democrats used that word on different Sunday talk shows. Rep. James Clyburn (D-S.C.) raised "bribery" in a conversation with CNN's "State of the Union," hosted by Dana Bash.Bash told Clyburn, "The Constitution says, as you know, that the president must be impeached for -- quote -- 'treason, bribery or other high crimes and misdemeanors.' Which of those did the president commit?" "Well, I have no idea," Clyburn responded: And that's why we're doing this investigation. What I'm saying is, there seems to be an indication that something was going on here. There could be high crimes and misdemeanors taking place. There might even be bribery taking place. That's why you have an investigation. And that's what we're doing here. And starting this week, we are going to release these transcripts for people to see and read for themselves. We're going to have public hearings starting maybe this week or next. And we will get to the bottom of this, and then we will be able to make a determination at that time whether or not something happened that was treasonous. I have talked to a lot of people since I have been home who believe that it's treasonous on the part of this president. They certainly believe some crimes have been committed. Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Calif.), a member of the House Judiciary and Oversight Committees, was asked by CBS's "Face the Nation" if she thinks the articles of impeachment will ultimately include things other than Ukraine... How can this be fair when onside takes to release these transcripts. It should of been open hearing from the beginning.

Federal appeals court says Trump can't
shield tax returns from subpoena

{ washingtonexaminer.com } ~ A federal appeals court in New York rejected a bid from President Trump to avoid having eight years of his tax returns handed over to prosecutors... The unanimous decision from the three-judge panel on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit is the latest loss for the president, who has sought to stop his longtime accounting firm from complying with subpoenas for the financial records. The ruling says financial records can be handed over by Mazars USA. Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance sought the president’s tax returns from 2011 and beyond, along with other financial records as part of state prosecutors’ investigation into hush money payments made to two women who claim to have had affairs with Trump in the early 2000s. “The only question before us is whether a state may lawfully demand production by a third party of the president’s personal financial records for use in a grand jury investigation while the president is in office,” the 2nd Circuit said in its ruling. “With the benefit of the district court’s well-articulated opinion, we hold that any presidential immunity from state criminal process does not bar the enforcement of such a subpoena.” The ruling is likely to be appealed, setting up a showdown before the Supreme Court. $52 Trillion for Medicare for All?
Nate Jackson: Elizabeth dinky/liar-Warren’s much-ballyhooed plan to implement Medicare for All has been released, and it’s a doozy. The estimated cost comes in at “just under $52 trillion” over the next 10 years. Yeah, read that again. All the while, dinky/liar-Warren repeats her tired refrain, “We don’t need to raise taxes on the middle class by one penny.” And we have oceanfront property in Arizona for sale.
Suddenly, commie-Bernie Sanders’s version of Medicare for All is a comparative bargain, whether at the initially estimated $32 trillion or his later figure of $40 trillion.
“When fully implemented,” Warren says, “my approach to Medicare for All would mark one of the greatest federal expansions of middle class wealth in our history. And if Medicare for All can be financed without any new taxes on the middle class, and instead by asking giant corporations, the wealthy, and the well-connected to pay their fair share, that’s exactly what we should do.”
When the top 1% already pays the lion’s share of income taxes while the bottom half pays roughly nothing beyond payroll taxes, what exactly does “fair share” mean?
Fox News explains, “The campaign’s detailed Medicare-for-all proposal … insists that the costs can be covered by a combination of existing federal and state spending on Medicare and Medicaid, as well as roughly $20 trillion in taxes on employers, financial transactions, the ultra-wealthy, large corporations and more. This includes what is essentially a payroll tax increase on employers, something economists generally say can hit workers in the form of reduced wages.” Ah, there it is — tax increases for the middle class. dinky/liar-Warren has finagled the numbers to avoid an income tax increase for the middle class, while disguising the real cost in the payroll tax. Those taxes are technically split between employer and employee, though even the leftist Tax Policy Center acknowledges the economic reality of reduced wages: The “employee bears the burden of both the employer and employee portions of payroll taxes.” Just Tuesday, we added up dinky/liar-Warren’s “freebies,” concluding her plans would cost $4.2 trillion on top of the current federal budget of $4.75 trillion. But her new Medicare numbers blow that out of the water, as that alone would add $5.2 trillion per year.
Did we mention that even she admits her healthcare plan could kill two million jobs? We suppose the middle class won’t pay higher taxes if they’re not earning a paycheck. ~The Patriot Post
