Republicans Call Out scumbag-Schiff For
Flip-Flopping On Whistleblower Testimony

{ dailycaller.com } ~ The top Republicans on three congressional committees leading an impeachment inquiry of President Donald Trump called out Rep. scumbag-Adam Schiff Wednesday... for reversing course on calling a CIA whistleblower to testify before Congress, according to a letter the Daily Caller News Foundation obtained. The Republicans also asked scumbag-Schiff to arrange public testimony from the whistleblower and any other individuals he relied on as part of an Aug. 12 complaint filed with the intelligence community inspector general (ICIG) regarding Trump’s actions toward Ukraine. “We are surprised by your announcement that the Committees will not receive testimony from the anonymous intelligence community employee whose complaint initiated the so-called impeachment inquiry,” wrote Reps. Jim Jordan of Ohio, Devin Nunes of California and Michael McCaul of Texas in the letter to scumbag-Schiff, the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee. They noted that before the House Intelligence Committee released the whistleblower complaint on Sept. 26, scumbag-Schiff had committed to “very soon” calling the whistleblower to provide “unfiltered” testimony. The Republicans said that scumbag-Schiff, a California Democrat, reversed course “following revelations that the employee had a bias against President Donald Trump and that you had received a secret, early account of the allegations.” The whistleblower, an unidentified CIA analyst, met with a staffer working for scumbag-Schiff prior to filing his complaint with the ICIG, The New York Times reported on Oct. 2. scumbag-Schiff’s aide directed the CIA analyst to file the complaint with the ICIG and also briefed scumbag-Schiff on the encounter. scumbag-Schiff indicated prior to the release of the complaint that he was unaware of the subject matter. Impeachers Searching for New Crimes

{ gatestoneinstitute.org } ~ The effort to find or create impeachable offense against President Donald Trump has now moved from the subjects of the Mueller investigation -- collusion with Russia and obstruction of justice... to alleged recent political "sins": "quid pro quo" with Ukraine and obstruction of Congress. The goal of the impeach-at-any-cost cadre has always been the same: impeach and remove Trump, regardless of whether or not he did anything warranting removal. The means -- the alleged impeachable offenses -- have changed, as earlier ones have proved meritless. The search for the perfect impeachable offense against Trump is reminiscent of overzealous prosecutors who target the defendant first and then search for the crime with which to charge him. Or to paraphrase the former head of the Soviet secret police to Stalin: show me the man and I will find you the crime. Although this is not Stalin's Soviet Union, all civil libertarians should be concerned about an Alice in Wonderland process in which the search for an impeachable crime precedes the evidence that such a crime has actually been committed. Before we get to the current search, a word about what constitutes an impeachable crime under the constitution, whose criteria are limited to treason, bribery or other high crimes and misdemeanors. There is a debate among students of the constitution over the intended meaning of "high crimes and misdemeanors." Some believe that these words encompass non-criminal behavior. Others, I among them, interpret these words more literally, requiring at the least criminal-like behavior, if not the actual violation of a criminal statute. What is not debatable is that "maladministration" is an impermissible ground for impeachment. Why is that not debatable? Because it was already debated and explicitly rejected by the framers at the constitutional convention. James Madison, the father of our Constitution, opposed such open-ended criteria, lest they make the tenure of the president subject to the political will of Congress. Such criteria would turn our republic into a parliamentary democracy in which the leader -- the prime minister -- is subject to removal by a simple vote of no confidence by a majority of legislators. McConnell backs resolution condemning

{ thehill.com } ~ Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is throwing his support behind a resolution condemning the House impeachment inquiry into President Trump... Senate Republicans are expected to introduce a “Graham-McConnell” resolution later Thursday “condemning the House of Representatives closed door, illegitimate impeachment inquiry,” per a release from Sen. Lindsey Graham’s (R-S.C.) office. McConnell confirmed to reporters that he will back the measure, saying "obviously I support it." Graham said earlier this week that he was planning to introduce the resolution, telling Fox News’s Sean Hannity that it “puts the Senate on record condemning the House. It’s unclear if the resolution will come up for a vote. It would allow GOP senators, who have grown increasingly frustrated with the House, to formalize their opposition. But it would also likely fail to get the 60 votes needed to pass. McConnell and his caucus have increasingly railed against the House impeachment inquiry process, which includes near-daily closed-door depositions with current and former officials. "Overturning the results of an American election requires the highest level of fairness and due process, as it strikes at the core of our democratic process," McConnell wrote in a tweet earlier this month....

Florida Senate votes to permanently
oust Broward Sheriff Scott Israel

{ foxnews.com } ~ The Florida Senate on Wednesday voted to permanently oust suspended Broward Sheriff Scott Israel over his officers' response to the mass shooting... that killed 17 at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in 2018. The GOP-controlled state Senate voted 25-15 in favor of Israel’s permanent removal. “I hope the outcome provides some measure of relief to the Parkland families that have been doggedly pursuing accountability,” Gov. Ron DeSantis, a Republican, said in a statement after the vote. All five state senators representing Broward County voted for Israel to remain in office, which parents of victims said they viewed as an act of betrayal. “That was very difficult to watch. They cried with us. They might even have seen my child dead, and so it was very difficult, and I know the Broward County voters are watching," Lori Alhadeff, whose daughter Alyssa was killed at the school and has since been elected to the Broward School Board, told the Sun Sentinel. The chamberwide vote Wednesday confirmed an initial decision made by the state Senate Rules Committee Monday. The four Broward County senators on that committee voted to reinstate the sheriff, prompting the families of many Parkland victims to crowd the offices of state senators pleading for them to permanently oust the sheriff when the vote came to the floor. Pompeo Slams China For Attacking U.S.

{ dailycaller.com } ~ Secretary of State Mike Pompeo criticized China on Monday for attacking U.S. businesses whose employees exercised their freedom of speech... “From a foreign policy perspective, we think that it is completely inappropriate for China to attack U.S. businesses whose employees or customers exercise their fundamental freedoms here in the United States,” Pompeo told Wilfred Frost of CNBC’s “Closing Bell” in an interview. Pompeo’s comments come after several incidents of Chinese influences on U.S. companies, such as the NBA’s partnership with Chinese companies. Pompeo said he wants to “encourage every company to make a – take a good, close look, ensuring that these kinds of things – the reciprocity – that president Trump has been demanding from China – actually takes place.” When asked if Hong Kong played an important part in the trade talks between China and Trump, Pompeo said no, but that China “made a commitment to one country, two systems. Political Editors: Conservatives should thank Democrat presidential candidate socialist-Beto O'Rourke for exposing just how negative his party views Americans’ Second Amendment rights. socialist-O'Rourke finally admitted publicly what leftists talk about only in secret — namely, how to achieve their goal of a disarmed America. socialist-O'Rourke has freely moved from “nobody wants to take your guns” to “hell yes, we’re going to take your AR-15, your AK-47.”
Initially, socialist-O'Rourke dubiously claimed that if his gun “buyback” law was passed, no force would be necessary to enforce the law because he trusted that Americans would simply comply with the law. That raises the obvious question: If socialist-O'Rourke was so willing to trust his fellow citizens to follow the law, then why seek to confiscate their firearms in the first place? As he was pressed on the issue of citizen compliance, socialist-O'Rourke finally acknowledged that in order to enforce his mandatory firearm “buyback,” force would be required.
Clearly, socialist-O'Rourke is using his gun “buyback” policy as a political strategy to appeal to the emotional fears of those who see firearms rather than the criminals wielding them as the problem. What is ironic is that socialist-O'Rourke, who attacked law enforcement as “Jim Crow,” is now fine with law enforcement enforcing mandatory gun confiscation.
But that’s assuming law enforcement would even do so.
The Washington Free Beacon reports that Jim Pasco, executive director of the largest police union in the country, the National Fraternal Order of Police, has different ideas. Pasco states, “Mr. socialist-O'Rourke may not be aware that state and local police officers (who compromise more than 90% of all police in the U.S.) receive their orders from their local jurisdictions — not from the Federal Government.”
Sheriff AJ Louderback of Jackson County, Texas, noted that many sheriffs across the nation simply would not comply: “I think [socialist-O'Rourke’s] seriously misjudging the law enforcement response to what he wants to do. Many sheriffs would not comply with his plan.”
There’s also the reality of how many firearms exist in the U.S. There are an estimated 16 million AR-15s in the country, which represents only 4% of the total number of firearms in the U.S. As the Washington Examiner observes, “The reality is that there are so many of these rifles that even an astronomical surrender rate would leave a massive stockpile in civilian hands. The surrender rate would probably be low, leaving tens of millions of rifles in circulation.”
Rifles of any type were involved in just 403, or 2%, of all murders in 2017. In fact, hands and feet were used to murder more people (692) than rifles. If socialist-O'Rourke’s gun confiscation were to be “enforced,” deaths from firearms would likely increase exponentially. The truth is O'Rourke’s gun confiscation is a plan for pitting the government against its own people. ~The Patriot Post
