Team scumbag/liar-nObama Tells Iran:
Don’t Escalate, Don’t Take Trump’s Bait

Their message to Iran: Don’t take Trump’s bait. Stay calm. Conversations between former scumbag/liar-nObama officials and Iranian government officials have been ongoing since November 2016. Zarif, who visits the U.S. every year for the U.N. General Assembly in New York, usually meets with lawmakers, think tanks, journalists, and former officials when he is in town. But the recent round of conversations, which took place over the phone and in person over the last two months, came as lines of communication between the U.S. and Iran, through intermediaries in Europe and elsewhere, deteriorated. The U.S. policy toward Iran—a scorched-earth campaign to crush the country’s economy—took a turn this month when the Trump administration, following new Iranian activity that concerned American intelligence and national-security officials, sent ships and B-52 bombers to the region in a show of force. That move fed fears of military conflict between the two powers. Officials in the intelligence community concluded that those aggressive steps came in response to the Trump administration’s decision to punish any country that violates U.S. sanctions by buying Iranian oil and to designate Tehran’s military as a terrorist group. Just a few weeks later, news broke that the White House was considering a proposal to send upward of 120,000 troops to the Middle East. Instead, President Trump decided to send 1,500. Meanwhile, lawmakers on Capitol Hill pressed for details about the threat, at times turning to former scumbag/liar-nObama officials for answers. Three scumbag/liar-nObama officials who worked closely on the Iran nuclear deal, one of whom is still in touch with Iranian government officials, traveled to Capitol Hill to brief congressional Democrats about the situation. Those former officials said would not say if they passed information from Iranian government officials to members of Congress. Rather, they said they focused on educating members about their experience working with Iranian leaders and how Tehran reacts to economic pressure...
Lebanon = Hezbollah

The answer was: it's simple." At this point, it is probably safe to assume the answer will not be … complimentary.... But, hey, maybe Nabih Berri, the powerful  speaker of Lebanon's parliament, will surprise us. "If you see a pregnant woman, get close to her and toss a piece of gold next to her, or at her feet. If the fetus jumps out of his mother's womb and grabs the gold, you know that he is a Jew." Well, apparently no surprises. Beyond being egregiously anti-Semitic, Berri's remarks—which of course his press office later denied he made to a Lebanese newspaper this week, despite his own television station repeating them—reveal much about Lebanon. That one of the key influential figures in Lebanese politics would show such ugly anti-Semitism should undermine any notion that Beirut is "the Paris of the Middle East." Moreover, Berri is a close ally of the Islamist regime in Iran and its chief terrorist proxy, Hezbollah, which effectively controls Lebanon and shares  similar anti-Semitic views. Indeed, Berry leads the Amal movement, which is allied with Hezbollah, and last month, a senior White House official  described Berri as both "Iran's man in Lebanon" and "Hezbollah's main line of political support." Then on Thursday, the day after Berri's interview, the Israeli military destroyed the largest and most technically advanced tunnel that Hezbollah dug to cross the border into Israel to attack the Jewish state. Israel's army said the tunnel would have taken several years to build. This latest development came less than five months after the Israelis completed Operation Northern Shield, a military effort to locate and destroy Hezbollah's other tunnels. One would think the lengthy construction of these complex tunnels in Lebanon would be visible to Lebanese civilians. And what about the Lebanese Armed Forces, or LAF? Either the military was completely unaware of these tunnels and therefore hopelessly incompetent, or it was complicit. The latter seems more likely. After all, Lebanon has, sadly, become a synonym for Hezbollah, both in the military and political arenas. The LAF closely collaborates with Hezbollah and has done so for years. In fact, the two are allies. There are too many examples of their collaboration to list here, but a couple stick out. Western intelligence sources revealed last summer that Iran used a civilian airliner, known for its ties to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, to fly weapons and advanced systems to Beirut International Airport, which the Lebanese army controls. Furthermore, the Israeli military revealed last year that Hezbollah and the LAF are operating together in south Lebanon and that Hezbollah operatives even sometimes wear Lebanese army uniforms. Is it so hard to imagine that the LAF knew something about the terrorist tunnels meant to kill Israelis? After all, it is the Lebanese military; presumably they would have some idea about a major project inside Lebanon to wage war against a neighboring, more powerful country. Not that military leaders could do anything about it even if they wanted—Hezbollah has become more powerful than the LAF, in part due to Iran's support of $700 million a year. In the political arena, Hezbollah, together with allied parties and politicians, controls 70 of the 128 seats in Lebanon's parliament, and holds three seats in the cabinet. Moreover, Lebanese President Michel Aoun is allied with Hezbollah, as are other key government officials....
scumbag-Soros, Wallace Help Bankroll Dark
Money Fund Aimed at Midwestern Voters
by Joe Schoffstall } ~ Liberal billionaires scumbag-George Soros and Scott Wallace are helping bankroll a new fund hosted by an intricate dark money organization and focused on helping Democrats make inroads with midwestern voters for the 2020 elections... The deep-pocketed donors moved the money from the Open Society Foundations, scumbag-Soros's foundation, and the Wallace Global Fund, Wallace's foundation, to the newly launched Heartland Fund, a collaborative effort focused on building "power across the divides of the American heartland" as overall Democratic efforts have veered towards the region. The Heartland Fund recently disbursed  $500,000 in its first round of grants to nine left-wing groups and will begin its efforts with organizing and issue advocacy. The initiative is housed at the Windward Fund, which falls under the auspices of Arabella Advisors, a major dark money "fiscal sponsor" network founded by Eric Kessler, a former scumbag/liar-Bill Clinton appointee. "For a growing number of donors, the 2016 election was a wake-up call, clearly indicating that we need to re-engage with these communities and their concerns to achieve philanthropic priorities related to health care, immigration, education, economic development, climate and environmental justice, civil and voting rights, and more," Arabella's website states. "Even among these donors, however, discussions about how best to engage often fall prey to assumptions and narratives that pit rural communities against urban ones, communities of color against the white working class, and progressive organizing and movement building against efforts to bridge a broader portion of the political and ideological spectrum. "The Heartland Fund is also aided  by the Franciscan Sisters of Mary and two anonymous backers, according to Inside Philanthropy. scumbag-Soros's Open Society Foundations, however, is not mentioned in a Heartland Fund release on the collaborative, and the total amounts given by the groups are not known. "The Open Society Foundations contributed $200,000 to the Heartland Fund for a one-year grant in 2019 to elevate the concerns and issues in Midwestern states that are sometimes overlooked in the national political conversation," said Jonathan Kaplan, the communications officer for the Open Society Foundations. "Our support will allow several nonpartisan, community based organizations to add capacity as they work to support racial and economic justice efforts in Michigan and Missouri."...
California Dems propose resolution linking
Israeli government to massacre
at Pittsburgh synagogue
by Gregg Re, Andrew O'Reilly } ~ A draft resolution set to be debated this weekend at the California Democratic Party State Convention, obtained by Fox News... accuses the Israeli government of willfully "aligning with the virulent Islamophobia" of white supremacist groups in the U.S. -- and links Israel indirectly to the Oct. 2018 massacre of 11 congregants at a Pittsburgh synagogue. The resolution could prompt a dramatic floor debate at the convention if the party's Resolutions Committee decides to table it, Fox News is told, as prominent national Democrats have wrestled with high-profile allegations of anti-Semitism in their ranks in recent months. Minnesota Rep. worthless-Ilhan Omar and Michigan Rep. worthless-Rashida Tlaib, in particular, have faced scrutiny from their own party for comments widely perceived to be anti-Semitic. In March, the House passed a bipartisan resolution condemning various forms of bigotry in response. The document was one of a slew of secretive, unpublished proposals  obtained by Fox News that are slated for debate beginning Friday morning. A total of 14 Democrat presidential contenders are set to descend on the San Francisco gathering at the Moscone Convention Center, including Elizabeth dinky-Warren, lowlife-Kamala Harris, and commie-Bernie Sanders. Some of the draft resolutions would mandate that Democrat officials work to "nullify" President Trump's pro-Israel policies. One document directs party officials to take a subsidized trip to Israel only "if they undertake to devote an equal amount of time to visiting Palestinian towns, villages and refugee camps in Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories." Tentatively titled "Commending the House for resolving to fight all racism and bigotry and for resisting the false conflation of support for Palestinian rights with antisemitism," the resolution blasting Israel's purported role in furthering white supremacy was co-authored by David Mandel, an elected state Assembly delegate and progressive attorney who says he holds dual U.S.-Israel citizenship and lived in Israel for 10 years...
Sweden's Self-Inflicted Mess

One 14-year old teenager, who is afraid to reveal her identity... told the Swedish media that she always wears trainers so that she can 'run faster' if she is attacked: "I sat down on a bench and immediately guys came and sat next to me on both sides. Then more guys came and stood in front of me. They began to grab my hair and my legs and said things to me that I did not understand. I became so terrified and told them many times to stop, but they did not listen... Everything is so horrible. This is so wrong. I want to be able to feel safe", she said about taking the bus home. A recent survey from Region Uppsala shows that only 19% of girls in high school feel safe in the inner city of Uppsala. In 2013, the number was 45%. The men and boys in the gangs that engage in the sexual harassment of Swedish girls in Uppsala are frequently newly-arrived migrants. In response, officials from Uppsala apparently told the Swedish press, "We usually encourage girls who feel insecure to think about what they need to do to feel safe, such as not walking alone, making sure they get picked up and anything else that can reduce their sense of insecurity." In other words, the authorities are leaving the responsibility for dealing with this critical security issue to the girls themselves. The scared girls in Uppsala are only a small part of the entire picture. According to the latest National Safety Report, published by the Swedish National Council for Crime Prevention (Brottsförebyggande Rådet or Brå), four out of 10 women are afraid to walk outside freely. "Almost a quarter of the population chooses a different route or another mode of transportation as a result of anxiety about crime... Among women aged 20-24, 42 percent state that they often opted for another route or another mode of transportation, because they felt insecure and worried about being subjected to crime. The corresponding proportion among men in the same age group is 16 percent..." according to Brå...
Mark Levin's 'Unfreedom of the Press'

David Limbaugh

{} ~ With his latest blockbuster, "Unfreedom of the Press," Mark Levin presents a unique indictment of the liberal media today -- something I doubted could be done, given the plethora of material already written on this subject.

It is sweepingly comprehensive, covering the history of the American press from before the nation's founding through modern times, yet accessibly succinct -- 226 pages, excluding the acknowledgments and notes.

It is tough on the mainstream media but is anything but a ranting screed. A passionate patriot, Levin says this book's purpose "is to jump-start a long-overdue and hopefully productive dialogue among the American citizenry on how best to deal with the complicated and complex issue of the media's collapsing role as a bulwark of liberty, the civil society, and republicanism ..."

With his formidable background in constitutional law and history, Levin provides a fascinating tour of the American free press, from its indispensable role in the establishment of this republic, to its evolution through various phases that culminate in an ideologically possessed institution that is firmly aligned with one political party and is mostly hostile to America's founding principles.

The media's alliance with a political party the Democratic Party is not the first time we've seen this phenomenon in our history. Levin notes that from the 1780s to the 1860s the party-press era, most newspapers aligned themselves with a politician, a campaign or a political party. But there were at least two critically important differences.

During the party-press era, "newspapers lined up fairly evenly behind one party or the other or one candidate or the other," so balanced competition alone served as a safeguard against manipulation of the citizenry by a monolithic media. Also, and perhaps more important, newspapers "transparently proclaimed their partisanship."

Today's liberal media are wholly in the tank for the Democratic Party, but they steadfastly deny it, which facilitates their ability to deceive and indoctrinate the public. They are not on the party's payroll or subsidized by it, as some of yesterday's newspapers and journalists were, but today there is no denying "the revolving door of journalists and/or their family members serving primarily in Democratic administrations, Democratic congressional offices, and Democratic campaigns -- and vice versa."

Levin traces the notion of objectivity in reporting to the Progressive Era in the early 1920s when the "scientific approach to journalism" spread through newsrooms. Journalists were urged to adopt objectivity by developing a consistent method of testing information so that personal and cultural biases would not undermine the accuracy of their reporting.

Whether there was ever an era when journalists pursued objective truth, by the 1950s, the media began to abandon that goal in favor of "interpretive reporting" through their progressive lenses. They don't even try to separate fact from opinion anymore; rather, they infuse every aspect of the profession with their liberal biases, including the selection, gathering and reporting of the news. There is no ideological or intellectual diversity in their newsrooms. They're all in disgraceful lockstep.

The media are so ensconced in the progressive worldview that it's sometimes difficult to tell whether they are intentionally deluding the public or deluding themselves -- as they are convinced that their biased reporting meets their warped standard of objectivity. If you believe that only one political viewpoint is worthy of airing because all other viewpoints are objectively sinister and dangerous, then you might, in a twisted way, think you are being objective by reporting only one side.

Besides, today's self-righteous liberal media elites have graduated from such trifling concerns as pursuing objective standards, while pretending to adhere to them. They have fully embraced the philosophy of progressive intellectual John Dewey, that the Progressive Movement must not squander "the most important tool of mass communication for advancing its ideological program -- a radical break from America's heritage, culture, and founding, particularly the principle of individual freedom and market capitalism." In other words, progressives must commandeer the media and enlist their key players and soldiers to harness the incomparable power their positions afford them, engage in full-throated activism and fundamentally transform America.

Today's media would make Dewey proud. The purpose of a free press "is to nurture the mind, communicate ideas, challenge ideologies, share notions, inspire creativity, and advocate and reinforce America's founding principles -- that is, to contribute to a vigorous, productive, healthy, and happy individual and to a well-functioning civil society and republic," writes Levin. But today's newsrooms "do not promote free speech and press freedom, despite their self-serving and self-righteous claims. Indeed, they serve as societal filters attempting to enforce uniformity of thought and social and political activism centered on the progressive ideology and agenda."

Instead of pursuing these lofty goals, the media are doing the exact opposite: functioning as a propaganda tool for the Democratic Party and its ideology, thereby destroying their reason for existence and "threatening the existence of a free republic."

While the media and their Democratic Party colleagues breathlessly warn that President Trump is a threat to the free press, they are just projecting. Trump is simply defending himself and issuing a clarion call to Americans, warning us that the partisan media are the real threat -- both to the institution of a free press and to the republic.

Levin isn't calling for government action against the press, but he is calling on us to inform ourselves of the threat they pose to our liberties and exhorting us to "demand a media worthy of our great republic."

Unlike the liberal media elite, I proudly admit my bias in favor of my friend Mark Levin. But trust me: You'll learn tons and be greatly enriched by this book.
