The House GOP Budget's Contentious Cuts
Just as the Senate was failing to pass its liar-nObamaCare overhaul, the House, which has already passed its repeal/replace plan, introduced the 2018 budget. The big idea behind the House Republican budget is reduction — as in lower taxes, regulation and spending.
While increasing defense spending, House Republicans cut outlays in most other areas. Whether its discretionary spending or even Medicare and Social Security, Republicans don't shy away from taking an axe to the federal fisc. In tandem with that spending discipline, Republicans plan to cut taxes, thus helping all Americans, not just "the rich" as Democrats monotonously complain.
House Budget Committee Chairman Diane Black (R-TN) said, "In past years, our proposals had little chance of becoming a reality because we faced a Democratic White House. But now with a Republican Congress and a Republican administration, now is the time to put forward a governing document with real solutions to address our biggest challenges." That plan hasn't worked out so well for liar-nObamaCare repeal; we'll see if it's different for the budget. President Donald Trump has pledged not to touch Social Security or Medicare, so that alone may torpedo the GOP plan.
The House Freedom Caucus is pushing for double the budget's $200 billion in proposed cuts, as well as better detail on tax reform. For one thing, they don't want House Speaker Paul Ryan's favored border-adjustment tax on imported goods to be tacked on. The moderate Tuesday Group, meanwhile, thinks cutting $200 billion from a $4 trillion budget is too extreme, and thus warns of the plan losing the group's support. And Democrats are so wedded to their obstructionist agenda that no Republican plan will get a single vote from the other side. That means moderates and conservatives are going to have to compromise, like it or not. ~The Patriot Post

Rosenstein – DOJ Has Process To Deal
With Mueller Conflicts, Just Not Using It

{rickwells.us} ~ Perhaps Deputy Attorney General Rod “Rodentstein” Rosenstein is attempting to do some damage control, to diffuse the situation that he created by hiring a political hit man... as a prosecutor whose primary purpose is to force President Trump from office. Maybe he’s been just a bit too obvious, Mueller too partisan, in choosing his army of political assassins and now things are getting too hot. Deputy AG Rosenstein sat down for an interview with Martha MacCallum that will air Wednesday and clearly seems to be focused on saving the witch hunt bacon. In it he pledged to do what he already should have done long ago if what occurred then should happen to come to place. Rep King Win Win – Defund Planned
Parenthood, Use Money To Build Border Wall

{rickwells.us} ~ Tucker Carlson points to a recent Planned Parenthood fundraiser as the lead in for a segment with Rep Steve King of Iowa... The WNBA, purportedly a league of professional women basketball players, sexist by its own definition, recently partnered with the baby-killers for a fund-raising event. That game, which donated $5 of every ticket to the abortion company, was termed as a huge success, with Carlson noting they came close to selling out half of their arena. Carlson points to Planned Parenthood and reminds Congressman Steve King that defunding that organization was a Trump campaign promise. It is something GOP Senators and House members have repeatedly pledged to do and one they have then immediately violated. Carlson notes not only that breach of trust but the one over the promise to build the wall as well. For Pakistani Spies – Now She’s Negotiating

She’s deeply involved with some Pakistani spies who were clearly given inappropriate access to secret government documents by Schultz and other Democrats. Those Congressional enablers included Rep Wasserman Shultz, who seems to have never engaged with a computer that hasn’t in some way been compromised, and Muslim Congressman Andre Carson (D-IN), who incredibly sits on the House Intelligence Committee. It’s a place anyone hearing Carson attempt to speak would immediately realizes he doesn’t belong. “Fishing” At Trump Tower Crosses Red Line

{rickwells.us} ~ Reporters in the Thursday White House press briefing asked Sarah Huckabee Sanders about the situation as it appears to be developing, with Special Witch Hunter Robert Mueller... now increasingly ignoring the mandated scope of his investigation. Mueller is now choosing to pursue anything that falls into the “that could be interesting,” or “maybe there’s something in there I can nail Trump with” paths of investigation, not within his legal authority as originally stated when he was appointed. The first reporter says, “The President said that if Robert Mueller were to look at his finances or the family finances that would constitute a red line. Some of us want to know what’s happening to our nation, we want to know the truth... but are still being lied to about the invasion and overthrow attempt of our nation, having “been fed the lies for so long.” She warns of the dangers we are facing and the kind of country that we will leave to our children and grandchildren if we don’t stand up for ourselves and for them. She says, “America is in danger because of radical Islam.” She points out, “There are several types of Islam and several types of radical jihad.” She talks of the legal jihad that is happening in the United States right now with the creeping introduction of Sharia Law. {theacru.org} ~ Lawyers from the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) sued President Donald Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, and the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity in federal court on Monday, accusing the commission of violating federal transparency laws. Prominent commission member Ken Blackwell responds by calling this lawsuit “an attack on the rule of law.”
President Trump created the commission by Executive Order 13799, which he signed on May 11, 2017. The commission’s mandate is to identify and combat voter fraud and other threats to the integrity of the ballot box on Election Day.
The president appointed Vice President Pence as the chairman of this bipartisan commission. Partisan Democrats and liberal activists have relentlessly attacked the commission, including its perhaps most visible member aside from the vice president, Ambassador Blackwell.
The ACLU argues that the commission is violating two sections of the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA). Specifically, ACLU lawyers argue that the commission’s composition is not “fairly balanced in terms of the points of view represented and the functions to be performed,” in violation of 5 U.S.C. app. 2 § 5.
These lawyers also argue that an initial organizational discussion that the commission had by telephone on June 28 violates the part of FACA codified at 5 U.S.C. app. 2 § 10, which requires bodies covered by the statute to give public notice of upcoming meetings and to make those meetings open to the public.
In its complaint filed in federal district court in Washington, DC, the ACLU is demanding that the commission provide “all the records, reports, transcripts, minutes, appendixes, working papers, drafts, studies, agenda, and other documents which were made available to or prepared by” the commission from the June 28 telephone meeting.
The lawsuit is also preemptively suing over the July 19 meeting, which is the first true meeting of the commission. The meeting will be held in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building (EEOB), which is part of the White House complex and the location where most White House staff actually work. The ACLU argues that because EEOB is not accessible to the general public, this meeting will be an additional violation of FACA.
The lawsuit also attacks several commissioners by name, including Vice Chairman Kris Kobach, Hans von Spakovsky, and Blackwell, whom the ACLU accuses of making “unfounded assertions about noncitizens voting.”
“This lawsuit is the latest attempt by the Left to kill this commission in its infancy by attempting to delegitimize its vitally important work,” Blackwell exclusively tells Breitbart News in response to this lawsuit.
“These are the same people who are demanding an investigation of Russia’s attempts to meddle in U.S. elections,” Blackwell continued. “But part of this commission’s mandate is to explore threats to U.S. elections from any foreign actor —- including Russia, China, North Korea, Iran, or anyone else —- yet these same groups are trying to derail the commission’s work.”
“They cannot have it both ways,” Blackwell continued. “This cynical political grandstanding is absurd, but not surprising.”
“These are the same people who want us to embrace the ridiculous concept of voters without borders. For any democratic nation, that amounts to a complete gutting of the rule of law,” Blackwell concluded. “That’s what this lawsuit is: an attack on the rule of law.”
