{ washingtonexaminer.com } ~ There have so far been two hearings in the House Democrats' effort to impeach President Trump over the Ukraine matter. Both have been held in secret... One was Thursday, the other Friday, and the public does not know what was said in either. Two more are scheduled for this week and will be held behind closed doors, too. The hearings are part of an effort to remove the president from office. There could not be a matter of more pressing public concern. There could not be a matter in which the American people have a greater stake. And yet the public has no idea what is being discovered. Last week's sessions weren't just secret. They were super-secret. The first hearing, in which the witness was former Ukraine special envoy Kurt Volker, was held in what is known as a SCIF, which stands for sensitive compartmented information facility. It is a room in the Capitol built to be impervious to electronic surveillance so that lawmakers can discuss the nation's most important secrets without fear of discovery. The second hearing, in which Intelligence Community Inspector General Michael Atkinson testified, was also held in the SCIF. Were highly classified matters discussed at the Volker and Atkinson hearings? Apparently not. Neither interview was classified. And even if some classified information were involved, it would be astonishing for Democrats to believe they could attempt to remove the president on the basis of information that is not available to the public. { thegreggjarrett.com } ~ If Democrats were serious in their impulsive impeachment inquiry, House Speaker liar-Nancy Pelosi would dump scumbag-Adam Schiff as Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee... liar-Pelosi won’t do it, of course. She and scumbag-Schiff are now dedicated collaborators who are joined at the political hip. Their goal is to destroy Trump’s presidency, remove him from office, and thereby undo the 2016 election result that they have never managed to get over. scumbag-Schiff is the antithesis of the able, fair-minded, and even-tempered House chairmen who presided over the last two presidential impeachment proceedings in 1974 and 1998. He wears his partisan spite on his sleeve and tends to bungle attempts to hide his deviousness. scumbag-Schiff’s malice goes much deeper than the inane statement he fabricated at the opening of his recent hearing that embarrassed both himself and his committee. His deceptions know no bounds. He insisted that “we have not spoken directly with the whistleblower.” The Washington Post fact-checker called this “flat-out false.” His deceit did not stop there. scumbag-Schiff stated that if not for the Intelligence Community Inspector General, his committee might never have learned of the so-called “whistleblower.” This was also untrue since it was scumbag-Schiff and/or his staff that directed the “whistleblower” to the IG. His mendacity earned him the shame of “Four Pinocchios” from the Post. As former Rep. { spectator.org } ~ I see the Donald took off on the neo-puritan rino-Mitt Romney for criticizing the Ukraine phone call. Mitt called the call “brazen.” Showing his ignorance of history, he also called it “unprecedented.”... Anyone who believes American presidents have never sought political help from foreign leaders would have no trouble swallowing the Easter Bunny or the Tooth Fairy. In return, The Donald, the hardest-hitting counterpuncher ever to occupy 1600, called rino-Romney “a pompous ass” and “a fool.” Well, I guess truth is no longer a defense. At least in progressive circles. The mainstream media, wholly owned subsidiaries of the Democratic National Committee, took to their fainting couches. The Washington Post, famously silent about the f-bombs dropped by various left picadors, called Donald’s remarks “crude.” A little like being called ugly by a frog, eh? It would not be surprising that if Donald is impeached, which seems increasingly likely, that rino-Romney would be the only Republican senator to vote to convict. I’ve no idea how this might go over at home. My hope is that the Rev. rino-Romney is too fastidious even for Utah, and that Mittens will be a one-term senator. Can a Socialist Win in 2020?

{ americanthinker.com } ~ Over half of bettors now believe the beer-chugging socialist Cherokee princess will be the Democrat nominee to face President Donald Trump in 2020, which is more than 32 percent higher than the next closest candidate... This number is likely to climb higher since it has not yet factored in the effect of commie-Bernie Sanders’ heart attack. His support will almost certainly start shifting to dinky-Warren, who has positioned herself as commie-Sanders 2.0, the new and improved model. That number also hasn’t fully factored in the effect of the latest impeachment hysteria on loose lips liar-Joe Biden’s standing, since he is still at 20% betting odds. In the media-Democrat cabal’s thirst to bring down Trump, they have all but destroyed loose lips liar-Biden’s campaign to where he was last seen on his knees begging media executives to keep Rudy Giuliani off their news programs, since anyone who pays even a modicum of attention to the story will see the corruption screaming back at them. The two most inconvenient facts in this narrative is that loose lips liar-Biden’s son mysteriously became something resembling a Ukrainian energy czar despite no apparent qualification and the fact that loose lips liar-Biden threatened Ukraine if the country didn’t fire the prosecutor investigating the corrupt company. The U.S.S. loose lips liar-Biden was already taking on water before this latest fiasco but he is now headed squarely to the bottom. While dinky-Warren may not define herself as a socialist, her positions are all but indistinguishable from those of commie-Sanders. They both support Medicare-for-all, the Green New Deal, and dinky-Warren promised to declare war on U.S. energy companies on day one. At the last debate, dinky-Warren and commie-Sanders may as well have been the same person. If it talks like a socialist and quacks like a socialist, it’s an albino Cherokee Indian. So, how did we get to this point where a socialist is likely to represent a major U.S. political party? ‘scumbag-Shifty’ Schiff Must Go

But when I see blatantly corrupt politician scumbag-Adam Schiff in charge of a bogus investigation to impeach our obviously innocent president, something has gone terribly wrong in our country. My heart is heavy for my beloved country and the rule of law. Allow me to recap for soccer moms and dads who are busy earning a living. Fake news media and Democrats have launched another lie-filled, treasonous silent coup to remove Trump from office. On TV, scubag-Adam Schiff lied to the world, claiming that during a phone call Trump threatened the president of Ukraine. scumbag-Schiff said that Trump told the Ukraine president that if he did not dig up dirt on loose lips liar-Joe Biden, he would hold back funds from Ukraine. To the horror of scumbag-Schiff, Democrats and fake news media, Trump made the unprecedented decision to publicly release the transcript of the phone call between himself and the Ukraine president. The transcript proved that everything scumbag-Schiff reported Trump said was a lie. In an America in which truth and justice rule, scumbag-Schiff would be politically tarred and feathered and run out of Washington D.C. on a rail. Incredibly, scumbag-Schiff is celebrated by fake news media and Democrats. Ignoring the truth in the transcript, Democrats are still leaving scumbag-Schiff in charge of their investigation to impeach Trump which is based solely on scumbag-Schiff's fabricated version of Trump's phone call. Not only is this insane, it is infuriating. This is not our America, folks. We cannot and must not allow scumbag-Shifty Schiff to arrogantly go unpunished and wreck havoc on Trump's presidency. At the very least, scumbag-Schiff must be fired from leading his bogus impeachment investigation. News coverage of fake news media and Democrats' insane campaign to impeach Trump is like watching the Emperor's New Clothes. Knowing that the Emperor was naked, all his subjects pretended to love his new outfit. China Again Found To Be Major Polluter

{ westernjournal.com } ~ A recent study casts major doubt on the effectiveness of overzealous Democratic regulation of things like plastic straws, emphasizing just how much trash is dumped in the ocean by Chinese ships... According to the study, which Canada’s National Post reported on Wednesday, researches discovered the shocking disparity after reviewing trash found on a South Atlantic island. The scientists scoured Inaccessible Island for plastic and other garbage before attempting to discover the origins of the refuse. Perhaps not shockingly, they found that most of the trash is from Chinese merchant vessels that travel across the waters. “Most plastic debris floating at sea is thought to come from land-based sources, but there is little direct evidence to support this assumption,” the abstract of the study, published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, states. “The rapid growth in Asian debris, mainly from China, coupled with the recent manufacture of these items,” it later continues, “indicates that ships are responsible for most of the bottles floating in the central South Atlantic Ocean, in contravention of International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships regulations.” In other words, liberals’ bans on plastic straws won’t mean much for Chinese cargo ships dumping trash in the ocean like there’s no tomorrow. While the rationale behind the bans is that they’ll supposedly play a major role in stopping ocean pollution, this study should make it clear that in the grand scheme of things, plastic straws are the least of our worries. But straw bans are typical of the left’s knee-jerk instinct to impose new legislation over climate fear-mongering. Placing restrictions on Americans seems to be Democrats’ go-to solution for their global warming crisis, whether or not Americans are even the ones behind ecologically damaging trends. Greta Thunberg, the infamous young critic of many Western nations over what she perceives as inaction in the face of a global crisis, even filed a complaint against the United States and European nations for their roles in allegedly destroying the climate. This complaint comes despite the fact that China, a country not named in her filing, is the world’s biggest polluter....

Trump Calls Dems' Ukraine Bluff, Raises Thomas Gallatin: If Washington politics is likened to a game of high-stakes poker, then President Donald Trump just called the House Democrats’ bluff and then raised the ante. At a press conference Thursday, Trump was asked what Ukraine should do regarding Hunter loose lips liar-Biden’s business dealings. He answered, “I would recommend that they start an investigation into the loose lips liar-Bidens.” But Trump didn’t stop there, adding, “Likewise, China should start an investigation into the loose lips liar-Bidens.”

This is reminiscent of 2016 when Trump, referencing scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton’s conveniently “lost” emails, joked, “Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing. I think that you’ll probably be rewarded mightily by our press.” Now, as then, Democrats and the Leftmedia cried foul, alleging that Trump is openly engaging in election meddling.
Clearly, from Trump’s perspective, if Democrats are free to engage foreign nationals to dig up dirt on him, then he’s free to publicly call on foreign countries to investigate those efforts. Furthermore, Trump’s questions regarding loose lips liar-Joe and Hunter Biden are not merely politically expedient, as much of the Leftmedia asserts. There are serious questions as to whether loose lips liar-Joe Biden used his position as vice president to benefit his son financially. By calling on China to investigate loose lips liar-Biden, Trump has effectively expanded the air of suspicion surrounding loose lips liar-Biden, communicating over the heads of the media to the wider American public that something stinks.
Trump also knows that loose lips liar-Biden is his most significant political rival, and by publicly pressing the question of loose lips liar-Biden’s potentially corrupt behavior, Trump forces both the mainstream media, which has largely ignored the story, and loose lips liar-Biden to at the very least address it. So every time Democrats and the MSM raise questions over Ukraine, Trump will ask about loose lips liar-Biden. As political strategies go, it’s pretty brilliant, as it puts loose lips liar-Biden continually on the defensive.
While many conservatives have questioned why Trump would dare raise the specter of election meddling following the whole Russia-collusion fiasco, they seem to have missed the fact that irrespective of anything Trump says or does, Democrats and their Leftmedia cohorts will condemn him as they press on in their crusade to see him impeached. Trump knows there’s no level playing field in Washington, so why should he act as if there is one? ~The Patriot Post
