The West's New Antisemitism Crisis: Why Right Now?

{meforum.org} ~ The antisemitism crises exploding in the British Labour Party and threatening to erupt in the US dummycrats-Democratic Party have complex sources in both the elites and the middle class... These include the logic of socialism, which opposes Jewish difference; rejection of the nation-state, which Jews still embrace; and conventional nineteenth-century beliefs in Jewish greed and conspiracies. Post-colonial guilt has also led to multiculturalism and societal self-mortification through Muslim mass immigration, which has enormously exacerbated antisemitism and terrorism. The trends in Europe and Britain portend negative changes in the US for Jews and Israel. Western political parties are undergoing astonishing antisemitism crises. The British Labour Party and its leader Jeremy Corbyn have been exposed as deeply and irrevocably antisemitic. The US dummycrats-Democratic Party has now nominated nearly a half dozen candidates for Congress who are implacably opposed to Israel, and stands on the verge of a millennial-driven transformation into Labour. Accusations of Jewish disloyalty and Israeli conspiracies are common, as are threats to banish Israel from the community of nations. The question is why, and why now? Why have not only the Labour and dummycrats-Democratic Parties but universities, and, increasingly, the interlocked media and entertainment complexes, turned against Jews? There are old and new explanations.  The first is the logic of socialism, where putative universalism and anti-elitism turn against their traditional nemesis, the Jews, despite outsized Jewish participation in these movements. Jewish difference is the enemy, and as affluent Westerners suddenly rediscover socialism in order to quell ennui and inner resentment against their bourgeois selves, traditional enemies have been rediscovered as well...

Joe Manchin of West Virginia announced their support... for Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court Friday afternoon, effectively assuring his confirmation. Taking the floor shortly after 3:00 pm, rino-Collins expressed hope that the judicial confirmation process — long in decay by the infestation of partisanship and outside interference — has finally hit rock bottom. She also criticized dummycrats-Democrats for announcing their opposition to Kavanaugh just moments after his nomination was announced at the White House. After speaking at length about the judge’s judicial record, rino-Collins expressed her admiration for the #MeToo movement, but concluded that the allegations marshaled against Kavanaugh were not sufficient to stop his confirmation. “I do not believe that these charges can fairly prevent Judge Kavanaugh from serving on the Court,” rino-Collins said, referring to Dr. Christine Blasey Ford allegations of sexual misconduct against the nominee...

Media Mangles Its Duty to Question Ford

{spectator.org} ~ A reasonable, objective, establishment media would have spent far more time than it has in delving into Dr. Christine Blasey Ford’s background and credibility, and her veracity under oath... especially if they think it relevant to endlessly parse Brett Kavanaugh’s high school yearbook, jokey memos about Beach Week, and collegiate throwing of ice from a barroom glass. Granted, there is an important line, not to be crossed, between rational examination of relevant information and, on the other hand, blaming or bullying the putative victim. Yet the examination must be done. The accused cannot be automatically assumed to be guilty. This isn’t just a legal principle, but a moral one. A false allegation, even if it never reached a court of law, can ruin reputations and even lives. Yet most of the media has acted as if the only one whose veracity and character are legitimate grounds for investigation is the one accused of heinous acts. It is trite but very true to refute that idiocy by reference to the accused Salem witches, the Duke lacrosse team, the University of Virginia fraternity, or the fictional Tom Robinson in To Kill a Mockingbird. In the case of Dr. Ford, several of the lines of investigation journalists should have pursued — without prejudice either way — would include the following: Does she have political or financial motives? She claimed she is “fiercely independent,” but is that actually her record? Any time a conservative makes any complaint about a liberal, the immediate assumption, in news leads and headlines, is that the complaint is politically motivated — so why not at least ask the question here. Does her story about why she went to marital counseling stand scrutiny? Apparently not. She said the marital tensions stemmed from her demanding a “second front door” because of her fears of another assault — but the second front door actually was built several years before the counseling, and was used as an entrance, apparently, by… get this… the very “couples counselor” involved, who used Ford’s own home as the counselor’s place of business. Has she ever, in her life, shown any prior fear of flying before she claimed such a fear as the reason why she needed to delay her hearing? Answer: Apparently no...

GOP defeats dummycrats-Dem filibuster,

keeps Kavanaugh on track

{washingtontimes.com} ~ Republicans beat back a dummycrats-Democrat-led filibuster Friday and kept Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh on track... in a vote freighted with meaning far beyond simply adding a ninth justice to the bench. The 51-49 vote saw one defection from each party, canceling each other out and giving the judge enough leeway to clear the procedural hurdle. A final confirmation vote now looms on Saturday, and that remains in doubt. But overcoming the filibuster was still a major step for Republicans, who cast Friday’s vote as a chance to send a message to the public at a time of deep divisions and historic partisan rancor. “We know the Senate is better than this. We know the nation deserves better than this,” said Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. The vote was unclear until the end, with four members publicly undecided: GOP Sens. rino-Susan Collins,  rino-Jeff Flake and  rino-Lisa Murkowski, and  dummycrats-  Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin.

This weakness, which may seem anything but when in earshot of protesters, appears most apparent in the U.S. Senate. dummycrats-Democrats lack the raw numbers to win. Unable to rely on an institutional or the democratic apparatus to derail Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court, they embraced a by-any-means-necessary strategy. Jackson A. Cosko, 27, a “fellow” paid by an outside group to work for Rep. scumbag-Sheila Jackson Lee and a recent employee of Senator Maggie Hassan, appeared in federal court on Thursday on charges related to the doxxing — the unauthorized publication of personal details for the purpose of harassment — of several senators, including Orrin Hatch, Mike Lee, and Lindsey Graham. Cosko allegedly posted personal telephone numbers and home addresses using a Senate computer.“If you tell anyone, I will leak it all,” the perpetrator allegedly told a dummycrats-Democratic staffer who witnessed Cosko accessing a computer in Hassan’s office. “Emails, signal conversations, gmails. Senators’ children’s health information and socials.” The doxxing of Kavanaugh supporters follows death threats to the judge’s family and the repeated interruptions at his confirmation hearings that turned the proceedings into chaos — chaos perpetuated by lowlife-Kamala Harris and other dummycrats-Democrats on the Judiciary Committee — on Day One, which witnessed Capitol police arrest 70 they arrested over 300 on Thursday. dummycrats-Democrats planned this spontaneous show of outrage on a conference call. dummycrats-Dems Ever-Evolving Reasoning for Resisting Kavanaugh

by Thomas Gallatin:  The Senate this morning voted to end debate on Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court. A final vote is scheduled for Saturday, and it looks like it will be a party-line nail-biter.

             From the moment Kavanaugh was nominated to fill Anthony Kennedy’s seat, Senate dummycrats-Democrats, led by Chuck scumbag/clown-Schumer (NY) and Dianne Fein-stein (CA), worked a deliberate strategy to derail his confirmation at all costs. It began with a campaign to paint Kavanaugh as the justice who would overturn Roe v. Wade, and upon this ground dummycrats-Democrats declared him too partisan to be confirmed. When it became clear that this tactic would fail to stop his confirmation, Fein-stein and Company elected to go with character assassination, announcing 11th-hour allegations of sexual assault that Fein-stein had sat on for weeks, presumably because even she knew at the time it lacked any corroborating evidence, as the latest FBI investigation confirms.
               dummycrats-Democrats’ game plan was to turn up the heat on Kavanaugh enough to convince him and Republicans that it wasn’t worth it; they hoped Kavanugh would succumb to the mounting public pressure and withdraw. This required weaponizing the #MeToo movement to scare Republicans into conceding to the dummycrats-Democrats’ demands lest they suffer significant losses in the upcoming midterms thanks to women voters.
               But Republicans wisely, though at times rather weakly, called Fein-stein’s bluff. Kavanaugh’s accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, was given a Senate hearing, in which dummycrats-Democrats demanded a seventh FBI investigation into Kavanaugh. dummycrats-Dems got their week delay, but, as everyone knew would be the case, the resulting probe found no new evidence to corroborate Ford’s allegations (or those of a second accuser). In fact, if anything new was uncovered by the FBI, it’s that Ford’s lifelong friend, who Ford says was at the supposed party, claimed she was pressured by allies of Ford to “revisit” her initial statement denying her presence or even knowing Kavanaugh.
               No matter. dummycrats-Democrats anticipated the FBI’s findings and quickly dismissed their relevance — even before receiving the report. Sen. scumbag-Tim Kaine (D-VA) declared that “the whole thing is a sham,” while Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) insisted the investigation was “bulls—t.” Meanwhile,  dummycrats-Democrats had already begun to pivot to their next attack, charging that Kavanaugh’s emotional testimony last Thursday displayed a “temperament” that made him unfit for serving on the Supreme Court. And they got help with a broadside from none other than former Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens, who said Thursday, “[dummycrats-Democrats] suggest that he has demonstrated a potential bias involving enough potential litigants before the court that he would not be able to perform his full responsibilities. And I think there is merit in that criticism and that the senators should really pay attention to it.”
               Thursday evening, Kavanaugh pushed back against this latest attack on his character, writing in a Wall Street Journal op-ed:
               I testified before the Judiciary Committee last Thursday to defend my family, my good name and my lifetime of public service. My hearing testimony was forceful and passionate. That is because I forcefully and passionately denied the allegation against me. At times, my testimony — both in my opening statement and in response to questions — reflected my overwhelming frustration at being wrongly accused, without corroboration, of horrible conduct completely contrary to my record and character. My statement and answers also reflected my deep distress at the unfairness of how this allegation has been handled. …
               Going forward, you can count on me to be the same kind of judge and person I have been for my entire 28-year legal career: hardworking, even-keeled, open-minded, independent and dedicated to the Constitution and the public good. As a judge, I have always treated colleagues and litigants with the utmost respect. I have been known for my courtesy on and off the bench. I have not changed. I will continue to be the same kind of judge I have been for the last 12 years. And I will continue to contribute to our country as a coach, volunteer, and teacher. Every day I will try to be the best husband, dad, and friend I can be. I will remain optimistic, on the sunrise side of the mountain. I will continue to see the day that is coming, not the day that is gone.
               I revere the Constitution. I believe that an independent and impartial judiciary is essential to our constitutional republic. If confirmed by the Senate to serve on the Supreme Court, I will keep an open mind in every case and always strive to preserve the Constitution of the United States and the American rule of law.
               That is exactly what dummycrats-Democrats fear most. This whole dummycrats-Democrat-created fiasco was never about any questionable rulings, or #MeToo, or judicial temperament; rather this was all about dummycrats-Democrats’ fear that a constitutionally committed justice wouldn’t concede to their anti-constitutional activism. In other words, Kavanaugh is a huge roadblock to their leftist agenda — a roadblock they fully intended to destroy.
