Fifty one years have passed since President Johnson first declared a War on Poverty and what we got is a welfare system that made the people dependents of the handouts of the government that cost the American tax payers over 20 trillion Dollars. Any idiot knows that poverty can be demise only by creating jobs, but what they did, was passing free trade legislations that destroy our manufacturing and millions of jobs, not to mention the decrease of the average wages of the working American people while corporate American got rich by exploiting the cheap labor in the third world countries. The war on Drugs- After 40 years, the war on drugs has cost $1 trillion Dollars of taxpayers money and hundreds of thousands of lives, and for what? Drug use is rampant and violence even more brutal and widespread. We never was serious about eradicating the use of drugs in our country; George H W. Bush and the CIA were the biggest traffickers of drugs they establish a network of criminals including Bill Clinton to flow the Hispanic and black communities with drugs. That is what our government did to our own people under the pretense of fighting drug trafficker, they arrested and put in jail the people they supplied with these drugs to demise our Latino and black communities to get the money to protect the interest of the US corporations in Nicaragua
