Detroit receives $100 million financial bailout from Obama
It seems that with a federal government on the brink of a shut-down and not a dime in sight to help balance the budget, President Obama still found millions for bankrupt Detroit. According to Fox News, the Obama administration has uncovered $100 million for fiscally beleaguered City of Detroit as a way of helping the city cope with mounting financial woes.
It appears that Christmas did come a bit early for the citizens of Detroit after learning that miracle of miracles the kitchen cabinet was not bare after all. This takes on an even more serious note, because Obama and his economic and political apologists like House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi had been insisting that, “There are no more cuts to make.”
Yet hiding in within the administration’s coffers was $100 million of taxpayer dollars that were not flowing to its intended funding obligations. It certainly does shore up the GOP claims in the House by its leaders, that Obama has no intention on coming clean with the House or with the American people when it comes to where dollars are spent, unspent or hidden from the public.
But there is a deeper more insidious issue which does rise above the mist of open deceit and that is whether or not, cities like Detroit with is $18 billion plus deficit and other urban cities teetering on the brink of insolvency like Chicago, New York, Washington D.C. and several in California including Los Angeles will be granted these $100 million paydays once, twice or many times.

No matter how much money is spent in Detroit, it will never recover.
Two months ago I was warning my Congressman to watch for some way that this administration would bail out this loser of a city, at that time I thought it would come from the Fed buying up worthless bonds. I never counted on what is becoming a never running dry slush fund that no one knows about. This will be my next comment to my congressman, find out where he is getting this money.
No more surpluses. Everything figured down to the last penny! Obama must declare and present a financial statement as to where all the money has gone and where it is now in detail. No bonuses to any government employee or salaried employee, plus no wage increases for six years for any reason what so ever, no exceptions.
Reduce the government workforce by attrition first (do not replace anyone leaving!), rid government of all duplication and unnecessary services now! And that is just the beginning of the list.
Detroit dug their own grave. Let them lie in it. Ohhhh and on your way down make sure you thand the Democrats. They did it, and you voted for them. Thall shall reap what you sow.

The damn goverment is broke thanks to obozo. 17 trillion dollars in the hole and now We The People are ask to to pay another 100 million to bail out Detroit. Do we have a money tree, a golden goose? Where is this money coming from"?
The precedent of the Federal government bailing out cities portends another catastrophe in the making. This is all liberals know to do, is spend and create debt doing it. Detroit, unfortunately, is not an exception, and it's easy to see other cities going bankrupt are already in the mix figuring on 'their share.' AND, there will be no change of direction in the management of these metropolitan areas that seek not to be accountable for their actions, but look to foist their woes on the so-called deep pockets of society, and eventually allow the mess they wrought to become an added liability to what I call the black hole of government: the bottomless debt rigging that threatens the very existence of the world financial structure. Remember, only the U.S. can save the world, yet we receive more than our comeuppance when our inadequacies are brought to task. No, no accountability, no responsibility, no transparency...this is the age of Obama. Detroit needs to learn as many other areas of this great country are learning, that facing bankruptcy is more an accounting measure than ANY loan or grant can provide. Isn't the first, won't be the last.
that's been the problem with Detroit for the past 60 years...the government has continued to poor money into Detroit, and Detroit has been turned into an illiterate-government wasteland, with the ruins of government subsidies in shambles, and along with that, Detroit has been managed by a leftist-democrat machine, that kicked out the whites, and corporate America, to line their own pockets. generational welfare, high crime, high illiteracy, and a dependency on the government, is what you see today...so 100 million, will barely pay the interest on the debts and destruction that is there now. 100 million to Detroit is the same as sending many of these islamist countries foreign aid......the tyrants get rich, while the country struggles, and nothing gets done.
