Analysis: Russia Wants Seat Back at Mideast Table

It is clear from the reporting of the analysis of the recent developments in the Syrian chemical weapons situation that the United States has been the clear loser.  The article above does a good job at analyzing the outcome of the recent situation at the geopolitical level.

In simple terms, Russia played us for fools and we lost our standing and credibility on the world stage.

    What is scary about the above is that in order to save himself political embarrassment and/or loss of political standing our current president has sacrificed America's standing on the world stage.  Our allies in dangerous regions of the world find that they can no longer count on us and our enemies are emboldened.
     
    After 23 years of putting my life on the line for this nation and in whose service to it I and my wife made great sacrifices for it we are shocked by this outcome.  We and our companions gave the better part of a lifetime to protect our standing in the world and now after all of that we get to see our sacrifices squandered by a President.
     
    I am appalled by this act and pray our nation comes to its' senses.
