So What's the Plan?

I have been a member of this site for a couple months now, and I am still confused as to what the plan or vision for this site is. If the whole idea of the Tea Party is to take our country back, then we need to figure out who we are going to support for the primaries that occurring right now and the election this fall. With this in mind I cannot find any information on this site about any candidates, let alone those that the members of this site or other Tea Party members favor. If I don't know who is even running, it makes it rather difficult to stay in the game (so to speak). I occassionaly get an email telling me that yet another Tea Party backed candidate won the primary, but it would be nice to know who these individuals are beforethe election actually occurs.

So what is the plan, who are we looking at, and what do we like/not like about the other guy/gal?

BP Oil Relief

Most of us have had our attention captured by the crisis that is currently enveloping the gulf coast region. While I am not a conspiracy theorist, it absolutely amazes me how big companies can commit such egregious acts with virtually no legal or ethical ramification. The sad reality is that when it is all said and done, ten or twenty years from now, we will look back and see that those personally responsible for the acts of this company and/or the company itself will have not been fully held accountable. Furthermore, our political representatives will have done nothing to ensure that this won't happen again.

This is where my nearly 20 years of military service experience kicks in. I have made the realization over the years that individuals usually get away with murder (figuratively speaking) because we don't hold them accountable. The reason for this is that we don't keep good records or organize them in a manner that, when called for, they are readily available.

So with this thought in mind one of my friends, that I recently started a business with, and I have set up the website www.bpoilrelief.com to help affected businesses effectively track their financial losses due to the BP oil spill. We are not out to make money or take advantage of the situation. In fact, it is because my partner's father owns a business in Mobile, Alabama, (Gulf Coast region) that we have realized the need for this kind of website. So, it was with those types of individuals, who are directly feeling the brunt of this tragedy, in mind that we developed this site.

If your business, or any other businesses you know of, are being affected by the BP Oil spill, please check out our website at www.bpoilrelief.com. It's a free tracking system that will allow business owners to keep records of what they lose each day as a result of the spill. This is an efficient way to keep everything documented and organized for their records with little effort on their part.

Moving On

I am currently active duty Military with justunder three years till I hit my 20. My plan from early on was to do my 20an move on. As this reality is coming closer, I seem to be thinking ofthis transition more and more. The more I consider my options the more scared I am becoming. I am not going to lie and say that I havehad it rough, because I haven't. I am one of the few individuals thatwill have gone through an entire career without having done one majordeployment. In fact I am almost embarrassed at times to mention myservice to new people that I meet because I often get the typical statements ofgratitude from those individuals. I have to look at them and tell them that nothanks is required because I haven't done anything different then mostAmericans. The reason I feel this way is I don't want to take away fromthose that have spent years separated from their families on deployments orthose that gave the ultimate sacrifice. So anyway here I am ready to retire andmove to my next stage of life and am afraid to do so, because of what ishappening to our country. While in the military we are fairly insulatedfrom the daily grind that most main street Americans experience. Thereare many incentives provided that only apply to those of us on active duty thatI am nervous about losing. I am praying everyday that the members of theTea Party will continue to grow and become fully able to effect a true and realshift in our country back to the where it belongs. So that I can retire and be able to transition without too much pain and become one of those Main Street Americans that the liberal left is now villainizing.
