Wright’s Resistance Cost Him His Life
Daunte Wright was killed Sunday by Kimberly Potter of the Brooklyn Center Police Department during a traffic stop in the Minneapolis suburb. Potter, 48, is a 26-year veteran and is white, while Wright was a 20-year-old black man. According to the race-baiting Leftmedia, that’s all you need to know.
The truth, of course, is far more gray than merely black and white.
For additional context, the trial of former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin is ongoing this week, so the Minnesota city is already familiar with the racial tension and rioting as a result of a police-caused death. But this one was, it seems, accidental.
“As I watched the video and listened to the officer’s commands, it’s my belief that the officer had the intention to deploy their Taser, but instead shot Mr. Wright with a single bullet,” said Brooklyn Center Police Chief Tim Gannon. “This appears to me, from what I viewed and the officer’s reaction and distress immediately after, that this was an accidental discharge that resulted in a tragic death of Mr. Wright.”
Was Wright a meek and compliant subject in the traffic stop? Hardly. Not only did he resist three officers (including one black male officer) and try to flee in his car, but police were attempting to arrest him on two warrants including a weapons charge for which he’d already skipped his court date. He was a known gang-banger and drug user. In other words, officers were on high alert, as they should have been. (In this, it seems similar to the Kenosha case last year.)
Does that excuse Potter? Not entirely. BCPD officers wear their firearm and their Taser on opposite sides of their duty belts, so she should have been very clear on the difference — especially with her long experience. As the chief noted, she meant to use the Taser, though given Wright’s behavior, perhaps a case could be made that the firearm was appropriate. Potter is on administrative leave. (It’s also worth noting that we learned her name within days whereas the Capitol Police officer who killed Ashli Babbitt on January 6 remains anonymous.)
According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, “A gun-Taser mix-up by a police officer has been blamed for a handful of deaths in the U.S. — at least three others nationwide — since Tasers with a pistol-grip were first introduced more than two decades ago. … Similar shootings have happened at least 11 times nationwide since 1999.”
Those are the relevant details. Again, however, some folks would have you believe it is simply the races of the individuals that matters.
Given this narrative, it’s no surprise that protests Sunday and Monday quickly became riots, even if Leftmedia reporters are once again denying reality and claiming, “There was no riot.” Yes, there was, and looting too. Furthermore, as National Review reports, “Several stores ransacked after Sunday’s fatal police shooting in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota were vandalized and looted less than a year ago in the riots that ensued across the Twin Cities after George Floyd’s death in police custody.”
The usual suspects lined up to weigh in. It started locally, with Brooklyn Center Mayor Mike Elliott declaring, “I do fully support releasing the officer of her duties.” On the other hand, City Manager Curt Boganey noted, “All employees are entitled to due process. This employee will receive due process.” For saying so, Boganey was fired by Elliott.
And it went national. Democrat scumbag/worthless-Rashida Tlaib, the Michigan representative and “squad” member, declared, “It wasn’t an accident. Policing in our country is inherently & intentionally racist. Daunte Wright was met with aggression & violence. I am done with those who condone government funded murder. No more policing, incarceration, and militarization. It can’t be reformed.” This shameless self-promotion is what the Left likes to call a “dog whistle.” It’s also insane.
“Prayers are not enough,” lowlife/liar-Kamala Harris pontificated. “Daunte Wright should still be with us. While an investigation is underway, our nation needs justice and healing, and Daunte’s family needs to know why their child is dead — they deserve answers.”
President socialist/scumbag/liar-Joe “Unity” Biden was somewhat measured in his response, saying, “We got to wait and see what the investigation shows — the entire investigation.” But then he tried to have it both ways: “We do know that the anger, pain, and trauma that exists in the black community in that environment is real,” he said. “It’s serious and it’s consequential. But it doesn’t justify violence and/or looting.” He’s affirming the anger while offering little more than offering perfunctory calls for “peace and calm.” socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden’s weak sauce is certainly not enough to outweigh the race-baiting so prevalent among Democrats.
The sad reality is that Wright’s death was immediately exploited like other deaths that fit a certain narrative, while other deaths that do not fit that narrative are ignored. Democrats have used certain deaths for political gain, while Black Lives Matter activists have gotten very wealthy on the pain of others. Will all of this save any lives? You know you’re on the losing end of an issue when, in order to garner “support,” you resort to the devious and deceptive gambit of redefining the common definition of terms. Leftist politicians have used this underhanded political tactic for eons, but the party of the donkey has recently taken it to new heights. It’s one thing to engage in political spin, but it’s quite another to blatantly redefine the terminology. That’s an act of pure deceitfulness.
Recently, socialist/scumbag/liar-Joe Biden and the congressional Democrats seeking to ram through a $2.3 trillion leftist spending boondoggle have dubbed it “infrastructure.” But Republicans led by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell have blasted the bill. “Less than 6% of this proposal goes to roads and bridges,” McConnell said. “It’s not remotely targeted toward what Americans think they are getting when politicians campaign on infrastructure. But instead of coming up with a better bill, Democrats have decided it’s the English language that has to change.”
In Washington, as well as across the country, the term “infrastructure” has long been defined as “basic physical and organizational structures and facilities” like roads and bridges.
Yet New York Democrat Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is responsible for perhaps the most absurd instance of turning the term “infrastructure” into a Democrat wax nose. She posted on social media, “Paid leave is infrastructure. Child care is infrastructure. Caregiving is infrastructure.” The statement earned much mockery and pushback along the lines of, “If everything is infrastructure then nothing is infrastructure.” Exactly.
But it’s not just the term “infrastructure” Democrats aim to redefine. socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden also claims his “infrastructure” bill enjoys “bipartisan” support, even though not a single Republican lawmaker has signed on to the clearly leftist boondoggle. Referencing the recent Not COVID Relief bill he signed, socialist/ scumbag/liar-Biden stated, “Everybody said I had no bipartisan support.” That much of socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden’s statement was true — no Republican voted in favor of the bill. However, socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden then injected his disingenuous redefinition: “The overwhelming bipartisan support were Republican — registered Republican voters.” Even that is a lie, as the majority of Republican voters polled opposed the legislation.
When Biden’s dubious and novel definition of “bipartisan” was challenged, his senior advisor Anita Dunn obfuscated: “If you looked up ‘bipartisan’ in the dictionary, I think it would say support from Republicans and Democrats. It doesn’t say the Republicans have to be in Congress.”
However, Barack scumbag/liar-nObama’s former chief of staff Rahm Emanuel was more honest, as he bluntly observed, “What’s become crystal clear is that socialist/ scumbag/liar-Biden has redefined bipartisan.” Even so, he commended socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden’s deceitfulness, arguing, “It isn’t ‘how many Republicans I’ve got.’ It’s about, ‘How many Republican voters or mayors and governors can I get to support my stuff?’ And Washington is slow to catch up to the socialist/scumbag/ liar-Biden definition.”
But the reason socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden and the Democrats are playing this silly and deceptive game is because they have no interest in having to actually engage in bipartisanship, which inevitably requires compromise. So, in order to redefine “compromise,” Biden has sought to redefine “bipartisanship.” That way he can attempt to sell the false claim that his “infrastructure” bill enjoys “bipartisan” support.
Finally, let’s put things in perspective. Republican objections to the Democrats’ massive spending bills aren’t borne out of some obstructionist agenda, as socialist/ scumbag/liar-Biden asserts, but over genuine concern over out-of-control spending. Combine this “infrastructure” bill with his “COVID relief” bill and socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden will have spent more in three months than was spent on both Iraq wars. With apologies to drunken sailors everywhere, he’s spending like one. And when challenged, his response is that it’s “not big enough.” He really is losing his mind. ~The Patriot Post
Doing ‘Revolutionary’ Things in a Pandemic
The data is out, and the lesson is clear: States that took and held onto draconian lockdown measures for much longer than the states that didn’t have been hit the hardest economically. States such as Florida, whose governor applied fewer COVID restrictions and eased those restrictions more quickly, “recovered by year-end,” The Wall Street Journal reports.
Of course, it’s not merely economically speaking that residents in Democrat-controlled lockdown states have needlessly suffered. Many Americans have endured infringement of their constitutionally protected rights, specifically their First Amendment rights to religious liberty.
The U.S. Supreme Court has once again slapped down a California order that unjustly targeted religious rights. In a 5-4 ruling in Tadon v. Newsom, the Court overturned a Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals decision upholding Governor scumbag-Gavin Newsom’s lockdown rule banning groups of more than three families meeting and worshiping in a private home.
In the ruling, the majority justices wrote, “California treats some comparable secular activities more favorably than at-home religious exercise, permitting hair salons, retail stores, personal care services, movie theaters, private suites at sporting events and concerts, and indoor restaurants to bring together more than three households at a time.” It was a welcome ruling, yet it also represents the fifth time since the pandemic began that SCOTUS has overturned the Ninth Circuit on religious freedom issues. That shouldn’t be necessary. Alas, it has been.
It’s almost as if scumbag-Newsom and governors like him have taken scumbag-George Soros’s leftist revolutionary advice to heart during the pandemic and struck while the iron was hot. As Soros contended last year, “I would describe it as a revolutionary moment when the range of possibilities is much greater than in normal times. What is inconceivable in normal times becomes not only possible but actually happens. People are disoriented and scared.”
Tyrannical leftists have predictably stoked the fear and then exploited it to achieve things that would otherwise not have been possible. “You can’t worship at home” would have been an unthinkable statement in America pre-2020. “Stay home and avoid groups of more than 10” would have sounded authoritarian and foreign just two years ago. Unfortunately, the socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden/ lowlife/liar-Harris administration wants to keep things this way. Democrats want the pandemic to serve as the rationale for doing big things — “revolutionary” things that aren’t possible “in normal times,” as scumbag-Soros put it.
“[The president] sees this as a moment for taking action,” one senior administration official said. “It’s not a feint or a negotiating ploy. What he’s putting on the table is what he thinks is necessary to address systemic problems we’ve faced not just over the last year, but for several decades.”

Another Predictable Hate Crime Hoax
Last week, we learned that a vile racist was on the loose at tiny Albion College in Jackson, Michigan. How do we know? Well, we saw the images of racist graffiti with our own eyes. We saw the N-word, multiple references to the Klan, and a Star of David shot through with “666” right there in the stairwell of an Albion dorm.
So it must’ve been the work of a racist, right? Well, yes, but not the kind of white male racist we’ve been conditioned to think about whenever this hardy perennial rears its ugly head. No, as it turns out, this racist is a 21-year-old black male — sort of a low-budget version of Jussie Smollett, but without the elaborate staging and laughable denials of culpability, and with the added indecency of Jew hatred thrown in for bad measure.
As The Daily Wire’s Ashe Schow reports, “On April 6, after reviewing campus security footage, a 21-year-old black male student was brought in for questioning by the Albion Department of Public Safety. The student reportedly admitted to writing most of the graffiti, with the surveillance footage supporting his statements. Police Chief Scott Kipp told MLive that the student was released after questioning and that after the department has completed its investigation, the Calhoun County Prosecutor’s Office will determine if any charges should be filed related to the incident. Charges are unlikely in such a case, as fears of being called racist abound even when a student has committed a hate crime hoax.”
Therein lies one of the problems. When we refuse to prosecute fake hate crimes as hate crimes, we only encourage more of them. Look at the Smollett case, for example. If ever a high-profile criminal case demanded swift and sure justice, this was it. Instead, we’re more than two years removed from that preposterous fake hate crime, and he still hasn’t been brought to justice.
The other problem? We presume a guilty white culprit in all these cases, when our criminal justice system demands the presumption of innocence. How many times are we going to allow ourselves — good, decent Americans of every race, ethnicity, and political persuasion — to be punked by these dimwitted racial arsonists?
Henceforth, the burden of proof should be on the accusers. And if no eyewitnesses come forward, and no videotape evidence can be produced, our collective response to cancerous stories such as these should be, Oh yeah? Prove it. Prove it wasn’t just another in the long and well-documented line of fake hate crimes.
At $50,590, annual tuition at Albion College seems like some kind of bad joke. But it isn’t. The question is, why do certain parents keep forking over that kind of loot to these craven and gullible institutions? For the “white privilege” of allowing their children to be beaten down by woke supremacists and shamed into racial submission? No thanks.
As Schow continues, “This incident is merely the latest in a long list of examples where claims of racism — or sexism — on campus have turned out to be hoaxes. In November 2020, The Daily Wire reported that a black teenager who claimed to have found racist messages on his SUV had written the messages himself. Earlier that year, another student who claimed to have found racist messages on their vehicle was also determined to be the culprit. It’s not just students who commit the hoaxes. An Oregon politician claimed he received a racist letter, but it was determined he wrote the letter to himself.”
You get the idea.
If a single worthwhile lesson can be taken away from this racial hoax and all others like it, let it be a reaffirmation of the law of supply and demand: If instances of real racism weren’t in such short supply, these twisted individuals would have no need to make stuff up. ~The Patriot Post
One (Largely) Forgotten Mission to Remember
On April 18, many grassroots Patriots will remember Paul Revere’s midnight ride. Others will remember the Tokyo Raid, led by then-Lt. Col. James H. Doolittle. But there’s one other anniversary forgotten by too many — the Pacific Theater’s equivalent to the “Zero Dark Thirty” mission that brought justice to Obama bin Laden.
Before bin Laden was even born, Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto of the Imperial Japanese Navy plotted and carried out the unprovoked and dastardly attack that made December 7, 1941, live in infamy. America went to war with a vengeance, blunting the Japanese advance at the Battle of Midway (portrayed well in a 2019 movie that topped the 1976 version).
But it really wasn’t until the Solomons campaign that America began to make significant headway against Japan. Due in part to incredible heroism, Japan was forced off Guadalcanal by the end of February 1943. Less than seven weeks later, America would take Yamamoto down when he and his staff took two medium bombers on what was supposed to be a tour of front-line bases. It would instead be a massive blow to Japan’s war effort made possible by the same codebreaking that enabled the United States to turn the tables on Japan at Midway.
(As a side note, that codebreaking was once looked down upon — much as the enhanced interrogation techniques used to break Khalid Sheikh Mohammed are today. At least Joe Rochefort didn’t have to deal with persecution from the Gitmo Bar — or its 1940s equivalent.)
The execution of the Yamamoto mission fell to 18 American pilots flying P-38 Lightning long-range fighters. Historian Samuel Eliot Morison, in Breaking the Bismarcks Barrier, the sixth in his 15-volume History of United States Naval Operations in World War II, notes that Captain Thomas G. Lanphier Jr. got one of the bombers, Yamaoto’s plane, while Rex Barber took down another filled with staff officers. Lanphier was credited back then with the fateful kill that is now the subject of debate and some historical revisionism.
But the takedown of Yamamoto then — like those of Osama bin Laden, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, and Qasem Soleimani — was carried out by brave military personnel who executed precise high-stakes ops. Too often these days, American troops have been second-guessed and prosecuted for doing things that the troops in World War II would have shrugged at as “winning the war.”
Worse, under socialist/scumbag/liar-Joe Biden, one could be forgiven for thinking that our top leadership in the national security arena is more focused on Kendi than Clausewitz. In addition, it looks like Biden won’t even give the DOD enough money to cover the rate of inflation.
The thing is, America will eventually regain the focus and be able to carry out missions like the one that brought justice to Isoroku Yamamoto, who is probably finding his very warm neighborhood a bit more crowded thanks to President Donald Trump. Lost Liberties
If one can say the pandemic has had any positive side effect, it has been to help us focus on what the loss of liberties looks like. Such losses do not occur immediately but erode over time as people become increasingly comfortable with government claiming to know what is best for us.
The socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden administration is proceeding on a downward spiral that has ended in lost liberties in nations of the past by seizing increasing amounts of power for itself through a slew of executive orders, without the consent of the people, or Congress.
When announcing his gun control executive orders last week, President socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden referenced the Second Amendment and the right to keep and bear arms. He claimed his orders do not infringe on that right, but added, “No amendment is absolute.” That is concerning.
He also announced the appointment of a Presidential Commission on the Supreme Court. A White House press release sought to obscure its real goal — court packing: “The Commission’s purpose is to provide an analysis of the principal arguments in the contemporary public debate for and against Supreme Court reform, including an appraisal of the merits and legality of particular reform proposals. The topics it will examine include the genesis of the reform debate; the Court’s role in the Constitutional system; the length of service and turnover of justices on the Court; the membership and size of the Court; and the Court’s case selection, rules, and practices.”
The court’s role is stated in the constitutional system and in The Federalist Papers. In Federalist 81, Alexander Hamilton got to the heart of the argument when it came to an all-powerful Supreme Court that could override Congress, effectively making its own laws.
If the Court were allowed such power, Hamilton said, it would produce serious negative outcomes: “The authority of the proposed Supreme Court of the United States, which is to be a separate and independent body, will be superior to that of the legislature. The power of construing the laws according to the SPIRIT of the Constitution, will enable that court to mould them into whatever shape it may think proper; especially as its decisions will not be in any manner subject to the revision or correction of the legislative body. This is as unprecedented as it is dangerous.”
In a speech last week at Harvard, Justice Stephen Breyer, a scumbag/liar-Bill Clinton appointee, warned that the main reason the public has mostly trusted Court rulings is the perception “the court is guided by legal principle, not politics.”
No wonder some on the far left are demanding that the 82-year-old justice retire so President socialist/scumbag/ liar-Biden can nominate someone more to their liking.
This effort to re-shape the Court in ways that would sustain liberal policies is an affront to the Constitution and “we the people.” As a Wall Street Journal editorial noted, the commission contains 36 members “who tilt markedly to the political left.”
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) was right in his reaction to the socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden commission: “This faux-academic study of a nonexistent problem fits squarely within liberals’ years-long campaign to politicize the court, intimidate its members and subvert its independence.”
President Franklin Roosevelt tried packing the court to advance his policies. Thankfully, he failed.
In a 2014 speech, the late Justice Antonin Scalia said: “The Constitution is not a living organism. It’s a legal document, and it says what it says and doesn’t say what it doesn’t say.”
The socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden administration and the left want the power to make their own laws, without constitutional restraints. They believe the Constitution is what liberal judges say it is and their goal is to place more judges who share this belief on federal benches.

A central element of the left’s strategy seems to be lying to the American people. I don’t mean run-of-the-mill exaggerations, which all politicians do. I’m talking about fundamental lies about our country. The media almost never call out these lies, which are often intended to stoke racial tensions.
For example:
After losing in 2016, the left lied when it claimed that Donald Trump colluded with Russia to steal the election.
Liberals lied after the 2017 Charlottesville riot when they falsely said Trump had praised neo-Nazis as “very fine people.” He did not say that. Trump condemned them. But socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden and others repeated that lie throughout the entire campaign last year.
Vice President lowlife/liar-Harris has compared the brave men and women who protect our border and enforce our immigration laws to the KKK. That’s a really ugly lie. The Klan hung black Americans from trees. Border Patrol and ICE agents protect people of all races.
More recently, they have lied about Georgia’s election reform law. They are telling minorities that the law is meant to keep them from voting. That’s a raw race-baiting lie. The law expands voting opportunities.
Leftists are lying about science. They say an unborn baby is not really a human being. They say a man can be trapped inside a woman’s body and vice versa. No science supports that.
They’re lying about gun laws.
They’re lying about systemic racism and hate crimes.
Now consider this: The same leftists who are regularly lying to us control virtually every major American city. Yet we’re supposed to believe they are telling the truth when they say there was no cheating on Election Day.
socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden’s Court-Packing SchemePresident socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden has signed an order creating a commission to study changing the composition of the Supreme Court. The number of justices on the high court has changed occasionally during our history, but it has been fixed at nine since 1869.
After a series of setbacks on his New Deal legislation, President Franklin Roosevelt attempted to pack the court with six new liberal justices sympathetic to his agenda. But the heavy-handed attempt by the executive branch of government to control the judicial branch backfired spectacularly. So much so that no president has ever tried it again.
At various points in his career, socialist/scumbag/liar-Joe Biden has condemned court packing. He called Roosevelt’s effort a “boneheaded idea,” a “terrible, terrible mistake” that “put in question” the Supreme Court’s independence.
That was then. This is now.
Polling shows that the American people are overwhelmingly opposed to packing the courts. But the “nice guy” who insisted that he just wants to unite the country is now attempting to secure iron-clad control over all three branches of government. The left is trying to gut all the checks and balances that the founders gave us.
After Hillary Clinton lost, the left insisted that we abolish the Electoral College.
The left wants to change the Senate rules to abolish the filibuster so it can pass whatever it wants.
Now the left wants to change the number of justices on the Supreme Court because it’s frustrated that Donald Trump was able to appointment three new justices.
By the way, the same week socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden created this commission, he attacked the Second Amendment and made the troubling statement that “no constitutional amendment is absolute.”
So, it’s not surprising that he’s asking a stacked commission to look into whether the number of liberal justices should be increased and whether the justices should be subject to term limits, something Biden and the left have opposed applying to members of Congress.
In related news, the Supreme Court ruled 5-4 Friday night to overturn California’s pandemic restrictions on home churches and Bible studies. That may sound like good news, but Chief Justice John Roberts once again joined the court’s liberals in voting to restrict religious freedom.
In other words, we just learned that we have only a one-vote margin on the critically important issue of religious liberty.
Never-Trumpers Gave Us the socialist/scumbag/liar- Biden Nightmare
Many Never-Trumpers insist that people who served in the Trump administration, including people like me as a Trump-appointee to the U.S. Commission on International Religious Liberty, were complicit in anything untoward that happened during Trump’s years in office.
As a result of our “guilt by association,” they began compiling an “enemy’s list” to make sure that former Trump aides were denied jobs and “held accountable.” Well, that goes both ways.
The Never-Trumpers, in my view, are complicit in everything that is being done to our values right now. They are complicit in forcing taxpayers to subsidize abortions.
They are complicit in the chaos at the border. They are complicit in the appeasement of Iran.
They are complicit in socialist/scumbag/liar-Biden’s efforts to pack the courts. They are complicit in his tax hikes and the damage he causes to working-class Americans.
The Never-Trumpers accepted money from the most vicious leftists in the country to ensure that Trump/Pence lost and that we must suffer through four years of this disaster we currently have in the White House.

Mansions for Marxists
Black Lives Matter was formed in 2013 and rose to national prominence last year in the wake of George Floyd’s death. In 2020, the organization raised at least $90 million from woke celebrities and corporations, as well as many well-meaning Americans. Now we know how some of that money has been spent.
It turns out that one of the movement’s cofounders, Patrisse Khan-Cullors, went on a home-buying spree. In recent years, she purchased four homes worth on average at least $800,000. Their combined value is well over $3 million.
But that’s not all. She and her husband also flew to the Albany, an “ultra-exclusive resort” in the Bahamas, to inquire about another property. It’s not known whether they purchased anything, but one resort worker said, “People who buy at the Albany are buying their fourth or fifth home. This is not a second-home residence. It’s extremely high-end.”
Khan-Cullors’s real estate collection is ironic given that she is a self-described Marxist. I wonder if she was getting real estate advice from commie-Bernie Sanders? Needless to say, other BLM activists are demanding a thorough investigation of the movement’s finances.
Khan-Cullors is merely following in the footsteps of the historic Marxists she so admires. Castro, Mao, and the Soviet commissars always found a way to live the “the good life.”

One of these ads projects confidence and the will to achieve victory, while the other reflects a nation consumed by self-doubt.
Don’t get me wrong, friends. The American military has a long and proud history of racial integration. But at the end of the day, the military has one purpose — to win America’s wars, not to satisfy Nancy Pelosi, The New York Times, and the members of the Berkeley faculty lounge.
