Ok, I write a book filled with disinformation are People with guns (Disinformation Board) going to raid my home, gather all my books and then burn them in the city square?
Probably, all of the above: Raid, impound and burn... Oops, I forgot step one in the guide to eliminating misinformation ... Arrest and imprison the author and publisher of such bogus information. We can't have people going around telling others that there are only two sexes in the human species... next, they will be telling us liberalism is a mental illness.

Orwell's invented language 'Newspeak' is specifically designed to control the thought process via redefining and limiting vocabulary. In the novel, the people of Oceania are controlled by a totalitarian government known as The Party... The Party’s goal is to achieve absolute power, using physical and psychological means. To this end, the party creates several programs and ministries: The 'Thought police', Newspeak, Doublethink, and other tools to control the people. The 'Thought Police' monitor the minds of citizens thru constant surveillance ensuring they are not committing “Thoughtcrimes.” Anyone breaking the law faces capital punishment, torture, or worse.
A mind control method called “Doublethink” conditions the people to accept two different thoughts (reality) at the same time... The Government feeds people contradictory information, and the people believe it, due to their psychological conditioning. Using Doublthink standards, The Party's ministries have titles contrary to their actual functions. The Ministry of Peace promotes war, the department of Truth changes facts, and the Ministry of Plenty oversees shortages. Thus, society is conditioned to never question authority, as they have no idea of what is true and what is doublethink.
The ultimate method to condition behavior s language... redefining and creating words whose meaning creates one's perception of life... In 1984, The Party introduces a law called Newspeak. Newspeak changes and shortens the list of words used by the people. By introducing new definitions and words (language), the government redefines history and reality, even the laws of science. The goal is to make it impossible for citizens to form an opinion separate from the governments, ending attempts at rebellion. With all the changes, in language and its definitions, eventually, no one questions The Party’s absolute power. In the novel '1984' the government's role is to constantly change the rules of language and society to dominate the lives of its citizens. He who controls language records history and creates the window through which our future is secured.
