Stumbling Toward War
A spate of stories published last week all point in one troubling direction: America's adversaries have taken the measure of our commander in chief — and found him seriously wanting.
We begin with the news that Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Iran Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan regarding the purchase of the S-300 air defense system and offensive weapons that include Moscow's most sophisticated T-90 tanks and Su-30 Flanker fighter jets. Thus one of the key provisions of the Iran nuclear deal, a.k.a. UN Resolution 2231 — requiring Tehran to get UN permission before acquiring "battle tanks, armoured combat vehicles, large calibre artillery systems, combat aircraft, attack helicopters, warships, missiles or missile systems" — is on the verge of being ignored. Adding insult to injury, Gen. Dehqan is believed to be the architect of the 1983 Beirut bombing that killed 241 American service members.
Iran is also expected to thumb its nose at the same resolution this month when they test a Simorgh space launch vehicle characterized by U.S. officials as the basis of their covert program to develop long-range nuclear missiles. An unnamed State Department official who spoke with The Washington Free Beacon epitomized the administration's flaccid response to the prospect, declining to speculate as to whether such a launch would violate the agreement, but promising to address any Iranian actions "inconsistent with any relevant U.N. Security Council resolutions ... through the appropriate channels." Iran insists the space launch vehicle's 220 pound payload is too small to carry a first-generation nuclear warhead. The Beacon's Bill Gertz reveals otherwise: "Space launch technology is identical to long-range missile technology."
And from whom is Iran getting the technological expertise for such an effort? An April exposé by Gertzreveals that while the nuclear negotiations with Iran were proceeding, North Korea supplied the mullahs with "several shipments of missile components" that also "appear to violate UN sanctions on both countries." That would be the very same North Korea that South Korea's National Intelligence Service (NIS) asserts is planning a terrorist attack orchestrated by Kim Jong Un. The same North Korea that launched a long-range rocket of its own this month — following January's test of hydrogen bomb components.

Democrat Double Standards To paraphrase William Shakespeare, the villany Democrats teach, Republicans will execute, and it shall go hard but they will better the instruction. It wasn't so long ago that the power was flipped in the Senate.
George W. Bush controlled the White House and Democrats controlled the upper chamber from 2001 to 2003. Bush nominated 32 judges during that time. Not one of them even made it to the Judiciary Committee for a hearing. In 2005, Democrats — including Barack nObama, Joe loose lips-Biden, John hanoi-Kerry, Harry dinky-Reid and Hilly Clinton — filibustered the nomination of Samuel Alito. That same quintet is now leading the chorus calling for the Republican-controlled Senate to do its "constitutional duties" and rubber stamp whomever nObama nominates.
When Bush had a year and six months left in his last term, Sen. Chuck Schumer said unless something extraordinary happened, the Senate shouldn't approve any Bush nominee. Going back to the last few weeks of George H.W Bush's administration, loose lips-Biden said Bush shouldn't nominate anyone until after the 1992 presidential election was completed — the same thing Republicans are saying to nObama. But now that he's co-captain in the Oval Office, loose lips-Biden conveniently insists that "lengthy speech on the Senate floor about a hypothetical vacancy on the Supreme Court" ... "is not an accurate description of my views on the subject."
When members of the current administration occupied seats in the Senate, its views on the Senate's role in the nomination of a Supreme Court Justice was robust. After all, the Senate offers its consent and advice, per the Constitution. But the Democrats' interpretation of the Constitution changes with the political winds.

Center stage was instead given solemnly to committing a sin of evil speech: launching a lie about an Israeli-made water shortage suffered by Palestinians, a sin that all present were invited to commit daily for the next seven weeks; a sin in which all the member churches of the WCC are invited to participate. Those leaders of the Protestant churches, turned into political propagandists without even any hindrance, used the pulpit of Jerusalem unjustly to call upon the Protestant faithful worldwide to listen to Palestinian water libels against the State of Israel. {newsmax.com} ~ President Barack nObama released his long- awaited plan for closing the military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba... saying transferring as many as 60 of the detainees captured during the war on terrorism would eliminate a recruiting tool for extremists and save the U.S. money. “For many years it’s been clear that our detention facility at Guantanamo Bay does not advance our fight against terrorism,” nObama said in a statement at the White House. The continued existence of the prison “doesn’t not advance our national security, it undermines it,’’ he said. JW just recently obtained State Department records showing that the nObama agency asked Hilly Clinton to return emails in July 2014. This contradicts statements made in court that State only requested via a November 2014 letter a version of which was sent to several former secretaries of state that Mrs. Clinton return records to the State Department. Other new emails show the State Department has separate policies for handling the documents of State Department senior officials “and the rest of the department.”
