Where Did All the Unity Go?

{ spectator.org } ~ The annual approach of 9/11/01 brought memories, news recaps, and best of all, in some ways, speculation. As in, what’s the matter with Americans today?... Where’s now the national unity that marked the aftermath of the attacks; the U.S. flags that decorated pickups and sedans; the spirit of we’re-all-in-this-together? Umm, yes. Where, in fact, had that unity gone by the time the victory over Iraq had sucked Americans into a guerrilla war and America’s commander-in-chief in that war was being castigated right and left? I have a suggestion. It is that in 2001, under attack by — I do not think it is too much to say — the powers of darkness, Americans found and asserted their American identity. It took some effort. Vietnam, Watergate, and the liar-Clinton years had produced deep national divisions. The 2000 presidential election had dug them deeper still. Nevertheless, enough national spirit remained to further and facilitate the coming together of the American tribe, the American family in the interest of punishing suitably the murderous foes of that family. We all suddenly embraced one another. We were in this thing together. Reviewing Docs For Declassification

{ dailycaller.com } ~ White House lawyers are actively reviewing controversial FBI and Department of Justice documents relating to the 2016 presidential campaign for possible declassification... multiple sources with knowledge tell The Daily Caller News Foundation. The review process is being led by Emmet Flood of the White House Counsel’s office at the urging of an insistent president, two sources with knowledge of the process told TheDCNF. A source close to the president noted that Flood and his colleagues within the counsel’s office are generally opposed to declassification, out of the concern for the precedent it would set as well as any unintended consequences of making the information public. Sources cautioned that declassification could occur as soon as this week, though the uncertainty reflects the nature of the review process itself. The White House did not respond to a request for comment. { washingtontimes.com } ~ Then-CIA Director scumbag/commie-John Brennan endorsed the Christopher Steele dossier when he first acquired a copy in December 2016... saying it matched the Russia collusion charges from his sources, according to “Fear,” a Bob Woodward book on the Donald Trump presidency that debuted Tuesday. A spokesman for Mr. scumbag/commie-Brennan said he never approved of the dossier. In fact, the source said, he worked to make sure it wasn’t included in the intelligence community assessment of Russian election interference. “Because it wasn’t corroborated intel,” the spokesman told The Washington Times. The spokesman said one senior official wanted to include the document which would have been a mistake. The dossier, so reviled by President Trump as a hoax, is mostly ignored by Mr. Woodward in terms of its pervasive influence on mainstream media reporters and FBI investigators. There is no mention that ex-British spy Steele’s aim was to stop the Trump candidacy and then his presidency. Mr. Woodward doesn’t mention that the Steele opposition research was funded by the dummycrats-Democratic National Committee and the liar-Hillary Clinton campaign...

FBI 'media leak' texts to 'protect Trump'

{ washingtonexaminer.com } ~ House dummycrats-Democrats are accusing their Republican colleagues of leaking information to “fabricate conspiracy theories” in order to protect President Trump... The accusation comes after Trump complained on Twitter that the Justice Department and FBI are doing “nothing” in response to a newly revealed text message from former FBI official Peter Strzok about a “media leak strategy” while he was part of the bureau’s Russia investigation. Trump's tweet referred to a letter from Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., sent Monday to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. Meadows' letter raised “grave concerns regarding an apparent systemic culture of media leaking by high-ranking officials at the FBI and DOJ related to ongoing investigations” after more text messages between Strzok and FBI lawyer Lisa Page were given to Congress. But Rep. scumbag-Elijah Cummings, D-Md., the top dummycrats-Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, and Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., the top dummycrats-Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee, say the texts weren't talking about how to leak damaging information to the press. The FBI still hasn’t found these 9/11-era terrorists

{ nypost.com } ~ After 9/11, the FBI warned the public about a number of potential terrorists they believed were being groomed for an encore attack... The feds described them as “the next Mohamed Atta” and put them on their Most Wanted Terrorists list. Today, these dangerous suspects remain on that same list and are still at large. Yet oddly, the FBI no longer talks about them. The only thing that’s changed, besides the descriptions of their appearances, is that the FBI is now offering bigger rewards for them, along with several key al Qaeda leaders also still on the loose. Families of 9/11 victims want to know why, after two wars costing trillions of dollars, do we appear no closer to capturing these top terrorists? Did the FBI stop hunting for them? Has it given up hope of finding them? One would-be terrorist who was said to be planning to lead another attack on the US, following in the footsteps of 9/11 ringleader Atta, is the English-speaking Adnan G. El Shukrijumah, who spent time in Florida before fleeing the country in the wake of the attacks...

Are You Better Off Now Than Two Years Ago? 

by Nate Jackson:  Remember that massive tax cut Republicans passed last year without a single dummycrats-Democrat vote – the one which continues to fuel the current economic boom? Well, the GOP has a great strategy for reminding voters how much almost every American enjoys having more money in their paychecks — a newly announced House bill to make those tax cuts permanent.

             For the Leftmedia’s spin, we turn to Bloomberg: “The legislation — released as Republicans are at risk of losing their majority in the House — is seen as a last-ditch effort by GOP lawmakers to convince voters of the benefits of their new tax code. Polls consistently show less than half of Americans approve of the tax cut.”
               Yes, it’s true that the Republican strategy is a midterm play for votes, and it’s unlikely to become law just yet. And yes, it’s also true that polls indicate voters aren’t as keen as they should be on those tax cuts.
               Two observations: First, President Donald Trump has been remarkably effective in using the dummycrats-Democrats’ strategy against them, and the House GOP is taking a page from that same playbook. Good. Second, the   dummycrats-Democrats’ class-warfare messaging, amplified by the propagandists of their Leftmedia super PAC, has convinced a significant number of Americans that Republican tax cuts were really “only for the rich.” Midterms are historically tough for the president’s party anddummycrats-Democrats have owned a lead in the “generic ballot” for months, so this misconception is hardly surprising.
               Digging deeper, however, the main areas where the tax cuts are unpopular are blue states with high taxes, leaving voters unhappy with a reduced federal deduction for state and local taxes. In other words, dummycrats-Democrats are telling voters to blame Republicans for high taxes imposed by dummycrats- Democrats. Nice work if you can get it.
               Republicans are smart to run this packaged pitch to counter dummycrats-Demo lies, distortions, and cynical appeals to envy. The GOP bill not only sends the right message but forces dummycrats-Democrats into the uncomfortable position of voting to raise taxes on everyone. Oh, dummycrats-Democrats will trot out their talking points to win over their faithful welfare constituents, but the same blue-collar workers who ditched liar-Hillary Clinton for Trump know which party actually addressed their concerns.
               As much as Barack scumbag/liar-nObama might like to claim credit for a humming economy, it is the tax-cutting, regulation-reducing policies of Donald Trump and congressional Republicans that spurred it on. Frankly, every time Trump or a campaigning Republican opens his or her mouth, it should be to remind voters that they are indeed better off now than they were two years ago.
