'America is not the enemy, the enemy is right here'

{washingtontimes.com} ~ Ali Larijani, speaker of the Iranian parliament, has described the United States as a “threat to the entire world.”... But his daughter Fatemeh Ardeshir-Larijani is safe in Ohio, where she recently completed the first year of her residency in internal medicine. In relative obscurity, she studies at the University Hospitals of Cleveland, which U.S. News & World Report has ranked among the nation’s best. Dr. Ardeshir-Larijani is one of several children of Iranian leaders who attend America’s universities and pursue opportunities in U.S. job markets. Nevertheless, their parents belong to a regime that persistently calls for America’s destruction. Meanwhile, Iran’s economy flounders, human rights abuses remain pervasive, water shortages threaten millions of lives and the ruling mullahs enrich themselves at the expense of the Iranian people. At the same time, when American students visit Iran, they may find themselves taken hostage, like Xiyue Wang of Princeton University, who received a 10-year prison sentence on spurious espionage charges last year. The Larijani family occupies a storied role in Iranian politics. Before Mr. Ali assumed the speakership in 2008, he was the secretary of Iran’s national security council and a chief nuclear negotiator. One of his brothers, Sadegh Amoli, is the head of Iran’s judiciary, which the Trump administration sanctioned in January for committing serious human rights abuses. Another brother, Mohammad Javad, is the secretary of the judiciary’s inaptly named High Council on Human Rights, which seeks to discredit Western criticism of Iran’s human rights record. All three are confidants of Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who routinely calls America the “Great Satan” and warns about the adulterating influence of Western culture. Yet even as they demonize the United States, key Iranian officials often fail to mention that their children enjoy the freedom it provides. This reality constitutes yet another face of the regime’s corruption. As Secretary of State Mike Pompeo noted in an address to Iranian-Americans in July, Sadegh Amoli Larijani “is worth at least $300 million. He got this money from embezzling public funds into his own bank account.” Mr. Khamenei, for his part, presides over a business empire worth approximately $200 billion...

Jeff Sessions rips federal judges over anti-Trump bias

{washingtontimes.com} ~ Attorney General Jeff Sessions unleashed a blistering assault on federal judges Monday... saying anti-Trump bias has led some to abandon their role as legal referees and become “political actors” erecting roadblocks to the president’s policies. In unusually stark language, Mr. Sessions suggested judges could soon face “calls for their replacement” if they don’t cool it. He blasted one judge who called the president’s policy toward illegal immigrants  “heartless,” and said another judge put “the inner workings of a Cabinet secretary’s mind” on trial to pave a path to block the government from asking about citizenship on the 2020 census. “Once we go down this road in American government, there is no turning back,” Mr. Sessions said in a speech to the conservative Heritage Foundation. “We are seeing it in case after case. When a hot-button policy issue ends up in litigation, judges are starting to believe their role is to examine the entire process that led to the policy decision — to redo the entire political debate in their courtrooms. Just ahead of the speech Mr. Sessions told The Washington Times that he saw anti-Trump resistance at play in some of the judges’ moves.

What Multiculturalism Hides

{gatestoneinstitute.org} ~ Multiculturalism is not a manifestation of Europe's generosity, or some noble embodiment of love and truth... Multiculturalism is what remains after mass migration reveals itself as a threat, rather than a benefit, to the economies of European countries. Take, for instance, the example of France. After the Second World War, when France underwent a boom of economic growth, waves of migration were viewed favorably: there were many job opportunities for unskilled and medium-skilled laborers, and the native French population aspired to work in the tertiary sector, which offered more qualified, better-paid jobs. From the end of the war until the mid-1970s, foreign workers tended to come to France temporarily, without their families, and return to their countries of origin. These workers were generally recruited from former French colonies to do menial and low-paying jobs -- not in order to enrich the culture of the host country. At the end of the 1970s, that situation changed. Foreign workers began coming to France with their families and also having children after arriving in the country. At the same time, however, there were changes in the economy that ended up leaving descendants of the recruited workers hopeless. While their parents had experienced some upward mobility, they themselves -- even those with a higher level of education than their parents -- were left with fewer job opportunities and became a surplus on the labor market; they also did not have another place to go. In other words, they had been born in a country that suddenly had nothing to offer. The only thing that the government could come up with was a rationale for the dire situation -- a mission for these children of migrants: that they should enrich themselves culturally in the country to which their parents had migrated. This new policy of multiculturalism, which emphasizes the benefits of cultural diversity for society and the state, is an example of the exploitation of others based on a fantasy of virtue. Those at whom the sweet talk of multiculturalism is aimed, can see that it has done nothing to improve their lot, and are now realizing that their future is bleak...

his $38M with fellow dummycrats-Democrats

{washingtonexaminer.com} ~ Rep. socialist-Beto O'Rourke announced Monday that he will not share any of his $38.1 million war chest... even though dummycrats-Democratic bosses want the cash for more competitive states. The Texas dummycrats-Democrat told reporters after a campaign rally that he will not spare any expense in his own race and plans to leave all the money he has raised out on the field ahead of Election Day. He said if people who contributed to him want to do so for another campaign, they should do that. socialist-O'Rourke raised an eye-watering $38.1 million from July to September. "No," socialist-O'Rourke told a reporter when asked if he would commit to sharing funds with Senate dummycrats-Democratic candidates who are in closer races. "I'm focused on Texas. Most of our contributions have come from Texas. All of them have come from people. Not a dime from PACs." "Folks contributed to this race because they want us to win this race. If they want to contribute to another campaign, of course they're welcome to do that," socialist-O'Rourke said. "No, we're going to spare no expense. We will bear any burden to make sure that we deliver for this state and for this country. That means a victory on the 6th of November." {meforum.org} ~ An investigative report by the Middle East Forum has prompted the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform to initiate an investigation... into a 2014 decision by the scumbag/liar-nObama administration. The U.S. Treasury Department listed the Islamic Relief Agency (ISRA, aka the Islamic Africa Relief Agency), a Sudanese organization in 2004 a “Specially Designated Terrorist Organization.” It did so because ISRA provided "direct financial support" to Osama bin Laden; "was responsible for moving funds to the Palestinian territories for use in terrorist activities"; and “serves as a conduit to Hamas.” The Forum’s Sam Westrop exposed in National Review that in 2014, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) approved a $200,000 grant to the Islamic Relief Agency (ISRA) in Sudan through World Vision, Inc. The project was temporarily suspended in November 2014 after USAID and the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) were alerted to ISRA’s terror links. Scalise Warns Against dummycrats-Dems Stoking Uncivilized Anger

by Political Editors:  In a recent Fox News op-ed, Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) called out dummycrats-Democrat leaders over their use of uncivilized and threatening rhetoric. He specifically noted recent statements made by liar-Hillary Clinton about how  dummycrats-Democrats “cannot be civil” with Republicans, as well as comments from former Attorney General scumbag-Eric Holder, who encouraged the audience at a campaign rally to “kick” Republicans when they “go low.”

             Scalise warned that the political rhetoric coming from dummycrats-Democrats has only served to stoke burning anger among leftists and “incite even more harassment and violence.” He knows what he’s talking about given his own “near-death experience at the hands of a deranged shooter who sought to assassinate a baseball field of Republicans.”
               After listing several recent incidents of threats and violence leveled against conservatives and the fact that these incidents are only growing, Scalise appealed to his dummycrats-Democrat colleagues to condemn the violent vitriolic rhetoric and to strive for civility. “A healthy, strong democracy is not possible if anyone lives in fear of expressing their views,” Scalise wrote. “In America, we win battles at the ballot box, not through mob rule or intimidation. While it’s clear many dummycrats-Democrats refuse to accept the election of President Trump, if they want change, they need to convince people with their ideas and actually win elections, rather than call for violent resistance, harassment, and mob rule.”
               We truly hope that dummycrats-Democrat leaders heed Scalise’s admonition and that there is a quick end to the violent rhetoric now being expressed by far too many on the Left.
