{ washingtonexaminer.com } ~ Former national security adviser John Bolton issued a statement saying he would testify in the Senate impeachment hearing should he be subpoenaed... "I have concluded that, if the Senate issues a subpoena for my testimony, I am prepared to testify," the former Trump adviser said in the statement Monday. The announcement from Bolton, who left his position in September before knowledge of a phone call between President Trump and the Ukrainian president became public, is a divergence from his previous decision not to comply with impeachment proceedings. He had previously been blocked from testifying by the White House. Bolton, 71, is considered to have inside information, as the president's national security adviser for more than a year, regarding Trump pressuring Ukrainian government officials to investigate his political opponent loosev lips liar-Joe Biden. One of Bolton's former aides, Fiona Hill, said that Bolton referred to Trump's personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani as "a hand grenade who’s going to blow everybody up." Hill made the claim during her testimony in the House impeachment hearings. Bolton also allegedly said, "I am not part of whatever drug deal Gordon Sondland and Mick Mulvaney are cooking up."Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell now faces difficult questions, because he and the Senate Republicans have refused to allow additional witness testimony in the Senate impeachment trial. House Speaker liar-Nancy Pelosi refuses to hand the articles of impeachment over to the Senate until she hears terms of a trial that she deems fair. With the knowledge that Bolton would testify if subpoenaed, McConnell will have to decide if he should be heard from, even if it comes at the detriment of the president.

{ wethepeopledaily.com } ~ Iran officials announced Sunday they will abandon the rogue nation’s commitments to the 2015 nuclear deal with world powers after the United States killed one of Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani in an airstrike in Baghdad Friday... Sunday’s announcement, which represented the clearest nuclear proliferation threat yet made by Iran since President Trump unilaterally withdrew from the accord, came after another Iranian official said it would consider taking even-harsher steps over the killing of Soleimani. It also threatened to inflame regional tensions further, as Iran’s longtime foe Israel has promised never to allow Iran to be able to produce an atomic bomb. Hundreds of thousands of people  flooded the streets in Iran Sunday to walk alongside a casket carrying the remains of Soleimani, the former leader of its expeditionary Quds Force that has organized Tehran’s proxy forces in the wider Mideast. Iran’s state TV cited a statement by President Hassan Rouhani’s administration saying the country will not observe limitations on its enrichment, the amount of stockpiled enriched uranium as well as research and development in its nuclear activities. Meanwhile, Iraq’s parliament voted in favor of a resolution aimed at expelling the 5,000 U.S. troops stationed there over the war against the Islamic State terror network.  Soleimani’s killing has escalated the crisis between Tehran and Washington after months of trading attacks and threats that have put the Middle East on edge. The conflict was rooted in Trump  pulling out of Iran’s atomic accord in May 2018 and imposing sanctions that have crippled Iran’s economy. Iran has promised “harsh revenge” for the U.S. attack...  https://wethepeopledaily.com/2020/01/06/irans-latest-move-proves-something-big-is-coming/

Josh Hawley to Introduce Legislation
Dismissing ‘Bogus Impeachment’ Trial

{ breitbart.com } ~ Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) said Thursday he will introduce legislation to dismiss the Democrats’ impeachment trial, calling House Speaker liar-Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) withholding of the articles of impeachment an “abuse of the Constitution.”... Sen. Hawley, a former Missouri attorney general, said he will introduce a bill on Monday to dismiss the impeachment trial against President Donald Trump because Democrats have yet to send the articles of impeachment to Congress’s upper chamber. “Dems said impeachment was URGENT. Now they don’t want to have a trial, because they have no evidence,” Sen. Hawley tweeted. “In real world, if prosecution doesn’t proceed with case, it gets dismissed. So on MonThe Missouri conservative claimed his legislation would expose the Democrats’ cynical move to oust the president, claiming that impeachment amounts to an “abuse of the Constitution.” “This will expose Dems’ circus for what it is: a fake impeachment, abuse of the Constitution, based on no evidence. If Dems won’t proceed with trial, bogus articles should be dismissed and @realDonaldTrump fully cleared,” Sen. Hawley added. Since House Democrats moved to impeach the president in December, House Speaker liar-Pelosi has yet to send the two articles of impeachment to the Senate, worrying that Senate Republicans will quickly move to dismiss the impeachment trial. The articles of impeachment charge that President Trump abused the office of the presidency and obstructed Congress. “So far we haven’t seen anything that looks fair to us,” she said in December...

{ townhall.com } ~ Since the United States carried out an airstrike last week that killed Iranian terrorist Qasem Soleimani, Democrats have repeatedly taken issue with the fact that the Trump administration didn't ask for Congressional approval... President Barack scumbag/liar-nObama's Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Jeh Johnson completely debunked that notion during a Sunday morning interview with MSNBC's Chuck Todd on "Meet the Press." "If you believe everything our government is saying about General Soleimani, he was a lawful military objective and the president, under his Constitutional authority as commander-in-chief, had ample domestic legal authority to take him out without additional Congressional authorization," Johnson explained. "Whether he was a terrorist or a general in a military force that was engaged in armed attacks against our people, he was a lawful military objective." According to a document prepared by the Peterson Air Force Base's Legal Office, "Military objectives are defined as any object which by its nature, location, purpose, or use makes an effective contribution to military action and whose total or partial destruction, capture, or neutralization, in the circumstances ruling at the time, offers a definite military advantage." In this case, "destroying" Soleimani provided the United States a strong military advantage. After all, Soleimani was responsible for the deaths of hundreds of United States military personnel. And that's not even taking into account the fact that he also killed civilians.

{ dailymail.co.uk } ~ A website operated by the U.S. government has been hacked by a group claiming to represent the government of Iran... The website operated by the little-known Federal Depository Library Program, fdlp.gov, was hacked and defaced on Saturday, and has been taken offline. A message from the hackers left on the website read: 'in the name of god. >>>>> Hacked By Iran Cyber Security Group HackerS ... ;)<<<<<. This is only small part of Iran's cyber ability ! We're always ready.' The FDLP is a program created to make federal government publications available to the public at no cost.  It followed the similar hacking of websites for a number of obscure, non-governmental entities, including the Sierra Leone Commercial Bank, the Taiwan Lung Meng Technology Company, and the Human Rights Protection Association of India. The website for a British company called Bigways was also struck in the cyber attacks. Security experts have already warned that cyber attacks could be part of Iran's retaliation for the U.S. airstrike on Friday that killed Revolutionary Guard General Qassem Soleimani, a top official in Iran and beloved there. Iran's state-backed hackers are already among the world's most aggressive and could inject malware that triggers major disruptions to the U.S. public and private sector. Potential targets include manufacturing facilities, oil and gas plants and transit systems. A top U.S. cybersecurity official is warning businesses and government agencies to be extra vigilant...   https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7852819/Iranian-hackers-breach-government-website-retaliation-airstrike.html

{ dailysignal.com } ~ The U.S. airstrike Thursday night that killed Iranian Gen. Qassim Suleimani was a bold and decisive effort to remove a key Iranian military and terrorist leader at a time when Iran appeared to be poised to escalate the crisis in Iraq... by plotting an “imminent attack,” according to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. Suleimani was the mastermind behind Iran’s low-intensity warfare and terrorist campaign against the U.S. and its allies for many years. As the leader of the Quds Force, the elite special-operations wing of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Suleimani essentially served as Iran’s viceroy for Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon. He rose to prominence inside Iran and in the region by supervising Iran’s expanding network of surrogate militias, terrorist groups, and radical Islamist allies. His Quds Force orchestrated the formation, arming, training, and operations of a foreign legion of Iraqi, Syrian, Lebanese, Afghan, Yemeni, and other militant groups that Tehran has deployed to advance its imperial agenda and to export Iran’s Islamist revolution. Iran long has used surrogate militias to do its dirty work in Iraq. One of the terrorists killed along with Suleimani was Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the leader of Kataib Hezbollah “Brigades of the Party of God”. Like Suleimani, al-Muhandis was designated as a terrorist by the United States. He was convicted and condemned to death in absentia in Kuwait for his involvement in the 1983 bombings of the U.S. and French embassies in Kuwait City...   https://www.dailysignal.com/2020/01/04/how-us-strike-against-iranian-general-changes-the-rules-of-the-game-in-iraq-region/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=how-us-strike-against-iranian-general-changes-the-rules-of-the-game-in-iraq-region?utm_source=TDS_Email&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=MorningBell&mkt_tok=eyJpIjoiWW1FM05qYzRNamN6TUdZeCIsInQiOiJIZFJ4K3FodWRCNGMrMFhnbEhidndqbWFhWHJOOGRXODg4cmZuK2x3ZXFsb2o2M1hpWFJ4cmdEY1NOVWhoTlp2d1paZXVPZzdIXC9pd3hKMkdJclUybjNoa0tBZDcwcHd6SzVmVmhyU2hydGYrTVlZazFaUDdmYklBK011K0Q1SUgifQ%3D%3D

Nate Jackson:  House Speaker liar-Nancy Pelosi is apparently trying to retain the Democrats’ control of the impeachment news cycle. She announced Sunday that the House will vote to limit President Donald Trump’s options for retaliation if Iran attacks after Thursday’s  killing of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Quds Force commander Qasem Soleimani. liar-Pelosi’s move came only a day after Trump gave Congress a formal defense of his decision, arguing that the strike was justified because Soleimani was responsible for hundreds of American deaths and was plotting even further. For those reasons, it was not an assassination as is the characterization in much of the media. And while more congressional involvement in military action would be welcome, liar-Pelosi managed to find just the wrong time to assert herself.

Meanwhile, what is Iran doing?

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani threatened, “The great nation of Iran will take revenge for this heinous crime.” That apparently includes placing an $80 million bounty on Trump’s head. We suppose the mullahs are using the cash Barack scumbsg/liar-nObama gave them to back that up.

Speaking of scumbag/liar-nObama, Tehran announced it’s officially abandoning his 2015 Iran nuclear deal — as if the mullahs were ever truly abiding by it. Besides, President Trump kept his promise to ditch the deal in 2018.

What is the U.S. doing?

Trump issued a counter threat to Iran: “If Iran strikes any Americans, or American assets …. we have targeted 52 Iranian sites (representing the 52 American hostages taken by Iran many years ago), some at a very high level & important to Iran & the Iranian culture, and those targets, and Iran itself, WILL BE HIT VERY FAST AND VERY HARD. The USA wants no more threats!” This sent leftists like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar caterwauling about Trump’s “war crimes” instead of presenting a united front against Iran, which should be a common enemy. Trump Derangement Syndrome is incredible.

What is Iraq doing?

Iraq’s parliament, over objections by the Trump administration, passed a nonbinding resolution demanding the remaining 5,300 U.S. troops in Iraq leave the nation. President Trump doesn’t want to do so until “they pay us back” for our “very extraordinarily expensive air base that’s there.” If the Iraqis don’t pay up, Trump threatened “sanctions like they’ve never seen before ever.” We suspect that’s Trumpian bluster. Parliament’s move is a political facade giving some politicians cover with Iraqi factions; material changes in actual Iraqi policy are unlikely.

Trump did the right thing by taking out a murderous terrorist ringleader who had more power and influence than Osama bin Laden or Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi at the time they were terminated. That doesn’t mean there won’t be reprisals, but it does mean an American president just stood up for America in an important way.
