nObama's Defense Policies Jeopardize America
Looking back over the course of American history, one of the reasons that our nation rose to superpower power status was because of its strong defense policy. For most American presidents and those within their administrations, having a strong military along with foreign policies that allowed our nation to reach strategic and military objectives was the key to defeating our enemies and holding at bay geopolitical foes. Pretty simple.
The world in which we live today is much more complex. Non-state actors who carry out acts of terrorism, state sponsors of terrorism, rogue nations, old enemies who have become emboldened by their ability to capitalize on vulnerabilities and many other threats are of concern to American citizens and our allies throughout the world. These realities did not have to come to pass, but they have, leaving many wondering if our nation is capable or ready for the next conflict or catastrophic event.
We have noted on numerous occasions that when Barack nObama ran for president, he stated that one of his goals was to "fundamentally transform" America. When he took office, he also promised to be a new type of commander in chief, primarily by cutting and running from military engagements. It was obvious to us that he would be a poor leader, but after more than seven years of his feckless "leadership," it should be glaringly obvious to everyone that this is not at all what our nation or our world needs.
For starters, nObama recklessly promised to end (not win) the war in Iraq. Soon after our troops were withdrawn, the Islamic State, which is arguably one of the most brutal and relentless terrorist groups in history, rushed in to fill the vacuum nObama created. nObama's response to this terrorist threat was to nickname them the JV team, conduct limited airstrikes and continually promise that there would be "no boots on the ground" in Iraq. But today, there are 5,000 boots on the ground, and Marine Staff Sergeant Louis F. Cardin became the first casualty several weeks ago.
Meanwhile, nObama has pushed for drastic social changes in the military, calling for "social justice," equality and a more diverse fighting force. These were his priorities, despite the findings of numerous tests, studies and recommendations from high ranking officers. Common sense, the lessons of history, military logic, training and readiness were put aside for the sake of political correctness, a personal agenda and a sick version of social engineering.
Under nObama, our Navy has been reduced to the smallest it has ever been since 1917. What was once known as the "Great White Fleet" can now be called the great green fleet. That's right, instead of bolstering our Navy to be a formidable force against evil, this administration has focused on using alternative fuel to fight temperature. Can anyone fathom what our real enemies think about this insanity? The answer is in the news headlines every day.
In a special report titled "Rising Threats, Shrinking Military," Fox News anchor Bret Baier investigates the phenomenon that is the nObama military.
The report highlights the crux of nObama's plan: "One of the signs of the president's new approach is his deep budget cuts. Numerous defense programs have been scrapped, and the troops are being cut back — the Army's active force threatens to drop below pre-World War II levels. As former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates tells Fox News, after he worked hard to cut hundreds of billions from the nObama military budget, he was then told to cut hundreds of billions more. Gates fears less money today will mean more American blood later."
Gates rightfully states that he "felt double-crossed" by nObama on budgets and that because of these cuts, the U.S will be left more vulnerable than ever before in this era of non-state terrorism. How so?
Gates says nObama initially told him that there wouldn't be any significant changes in the defense budget for a while, yet the request for billions of dollars in cuts came not once but twice. Asked whether nObama kept his word, Gates replied, "Well, I think that began to fray. 'Fray' may be too gentle of a word."
In Gates' book, he also revealed that the nObama administration was unable to craft a coherent military strategy in Libya. White House staffers would often discuss military options without Defense being involved, so Gates instructed the Pentagon to avoid feeding too much information to the White House on Libya. "They don't understand it," he said, "and 'experts' like Samantha Power will decide when we should move militarily."
In addition to Gates, Baier also interviewed retired Gen. Michael Flynn, the former head of the Defense Intelligence Agency. Flynn minced no words: "Frankly, the United States of America is in a less strong position today because of the readiness and the size of our Armed Forces." Perhaps most important, he further notes, "I think [nObama] sees the military actually as something that is more dangerous to the world. I think that he looks at the United States military and sees it as a threatening application around the world, than actually as a useful tool."
It is absolutely tragic that our nation and the balance of power throughout the world has been jeopardized by the failed presidency of Barack nObama. It is a disgrace for the men and women who have volunteered to serve this country in uniform to have to endure the consequences that have and will result from nObama's notion that somehow the world will be a better place by making our military weaker instead of stronger. It is a disservice to those who serve to drastically cut their budgets, reduce manpower and readiness, and waste valuable assets on fighting climate and integrating homosexuals instead of countering threats to national security.
The world is not safer, and we as nation are not stronger. The next commander in chief will be faced with enormous challenges and calamities directly resulting from nObama's failed policies. But rather than simply blame nObama, the next president needs to be ready to rebuild our military, to renew our strength as a nation and resolve to uphold the Constitution and defend our nation against all enemies. -The Patriot Post

{aei.org} ~ The GAO report, titled “Retirement Security: Shorter Life Expectancy Reduces Projected Lifetime Benefits for Lower Earners,” focuses on how the fact that high earners live longer than low earners partially undoes Social Security’s progressivity... The GAO was responding to a request from Sen. Bernie Sanders in which Sanders, in GAO’s words, “asked us to examine disparities in life expectancy and the implications for our nation’s policies with respect to retirement security.” There’s a lot of detail in the GAO’s report, some of it extraneous and some of which is misleading. But I don’t think GAO really answers the questions Sen. Sanders was asking. GAO finds, for instance, that differential mortality between rich and poor means that a low-income male collecting Social Security benefits at age 65 will receive 10% lower lifetime benefits than were he to have the population-wide average life expectancy. A high-income male, by contrast, receives 12% higher lifetime Social Security due to his above-average life expectancy. In other words, the lifetime collection of Social Security benefits is less progressive than benefit payments in the first year of retirement, because the rich live and collect benefits longer. What his chilling threat really means is that he will tie the press up with a series of law suits that, even if he loses each and every one the cost of lawyers, etc. will hurt the media/reporters’ bottom line long before the billionaire notices the expense. And remember Mr. slump-Trump has a stable of lawyers who already work for his company. If he follows through with a series of suits, the cost of defending and winning those suits will create financial hurt for reporting on legitimate, truthful stories that Mr. slump-Trump might not like. Sadly, 240 years later, we are learning that the “life” part is no longer of value. On Sunday, Hilly Clinton announced that children who were still in their mother’s womb had no rights. That announcement overshadowed another example of someone unconcerned about the value of life. This one was about harming people near the end of their life. It comes from Frisco, Texas where the FBI has released an affidavit claiming the owner of a hospice was ordering nurses to give patients overdoses to hasten their deaths, so he can make larger profits. Jihadi acts of terror have their roots in Shariah law
{aim.org} ~ President nObama’s cavalier attitude toward the Brussels terrorist bombing (a Benghazi bump in the road) — as well as his detachment from and “no-show” at last November’s Paris gathering of 41 world leaders showing their solidarity against the Islamic jihadi terrorist attacks — was an embarrassment for all Americans. His aloofness should not come as a surprise.
He understands better than most Americans that the plague of jihadi terrorism has its roots in Islam. It explains why he directed that all training manuals be purged of anything that linked Islam with terrorism. Furthermore, Mr. nObama’s deliberate obfuscation of the scriptures of Islam, as found in the Koran and Shariah law, which drives jihadi acts of terrorism, has facilitated the spread of Islam and its supremacist ideology. It has aided and abetted the enemy.
Clearly, that’s why Mr. nObama replaced the “Global War on Terror” with terms like “countering violent extremism” and “workplace violence.” It confuses the American public on the rationale derived from the Koran, Shariah law and the hadiths that drive jihadists to commit these acts of terrorism. The Islamic jihadists have been thoroughly indoctrinated in the core canonical beliefs of Islam as written in the suras (chapters) of the Koran. It certainly is not for a lack of job or education opportunities, which is part of the progressives’ nonsense propaganda.
Using the term “radical Islam” to describe the jihadi terrorism implies that there is some “moderate form of Islam.” Regrettably, that is not the case, nor have these jihadists hijacked Islam. The Islamic leader of Turkey, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who supports the establishment of a worldwide caliphate, has repeatedly rejected allied attempts to portray Turkey as an example of “moderate Islam.” He states that “there is no moderate Islam. Islam is Islam. Democracy is the train we ride to achieve our ultimate objective, which is a world dominated by Islam.” According to the Koran, it is an obligation for all Muslims to conduct jihad against all infidels.
While many progressives will argue that Islamic supremacism is not the only way of construing Islam, they point out that there are millions of Muslims who reject Islam’s supremacism and jihadi acts of terrors. However, this misses the point that the authoritative interpretation by the scholars of Islam is literally drawn from the scriptures. Those who stray from this line of thinking are cast as “racists” or “Islamophobic,” a term conjured up by the Muslim Brotherhood. We should never forget the Muslim Brotherhood’s creed, which is to destroy America from within by our own miserable hands and replace our Constitution with Shariah law. Further, the senior jurist of the Muslim Brother hood, cleric Yusuf al-Qaradawi, has stated that the Koran or Shariah law cannot be amended to conform to changing human values and standards. His view, is that the Koran and Shariah present the absolute norm to which all human values and conduct must conform.
As Andrew Bostom points out, Shariah supremacism with its hateful bellicosity and bigotry remains, regrettably, the predominant mindset of the world’s Muslims. He states, based on the latest available information, that 77 percent of Muslims from the five largest Sunni Muslim populations (Indonesia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Egypt, Nigeria) and 83 percent of Shiite Iranians want Shariah as the law of the land. Further, 91 percent of liberated Iraqis and 90 percent of Afghan Muslims support Shariah.
The late political scientist, Samuel Huntington, pointed out that Islam is totally incompatible with Western culture and traditions. They can never coexist. Islam is at war with the West. It is a clash of civilizations.
Even Alexis de Tocqueville, the French philosopher, commented after studying the Koran in 1838 that it only encourages but commands a holy war against all infidels, as well as the necessity for obeying the Prophet Muhammad. This what drives the Islamic State today; its members believe everything should be done as it was during the reign of the prophet.
Every thinking American should be able to understand that the Koran and Shariah law command jihad warfare in order to subjugate the world to a totalitarian Islamic caliphate order. Islam is not a religion of peace. It is a “totalitarian ideology bent on world domination, masquerading as a religion.” Until the threat of Islam is understood, we will not be successful in defeating this enemy.
With all the ISIS atrocities committed, President al-Sisi of Egypt felt Islam was getting a “bad image.” Therefore, on Jan. 1, 2015, speaking at the Cairo site of the Vatican version of Sunni Islamic religious education, at al-Azhar University, Mr. al-Sisi charged the leading Sunni clerics with reforming Islam, which has not happened in over 1,300 years. Regrettably, not one western leader endorsed this “dramatic call.” For that matter, neither has the pope. Our leaders continue with the drivel of expanding “interfaith dialogue,” which is nonsense since it is part of the Muslim Brotherhood propaganda to gain acceptance for Shariah law.
There should be no doubt that unreformed Islam is the enemy. America must take the lead in addressing this enemy. The Islamic State is the current point of the spear which must be thoroughly crushed. A movement must also be started to support President al-Sisi’s call for a reformation of Islam to bring Islam into the 21st century.

With all the ISIS atrocities committed, President al-Sisi of Egypt felt Islam was getting a “bad image.” Therefore, on Jan. 1, 2015, speaking at the Cairo site of the Vatican version of Sunni Islamic religious education, at al-Azhar University, Mr. al-Sisi charged the leading Sunni clerics with reforming Islam, which has not happened in over 1,300 years. Regrettably, not one western leader endorsed this “dramatic call.” For that matter, neither has the pope. Our leaders continue with the drivel of expanding “interfaith dialogue,” which is nonsense since it is part of the Muslim Brotherhood propaganda to gain acceptance for Shariah law.
There should be no doubt that unreformed Islam is the enemy. America must take the lead in addressing this enemy. The Islamic State is the current point of the spear which must be thoroughly crushed. A movement must also be started to support President al-Sisi’s call for a reformation of Islam to bring Islam into the 21st century.
