{ rickwells.us } ~ California Governor Jerry Brown is really a parody of himself, a joke if it weren’t so serious... Virtually everything that comes out of his mouth is a lie, a talking point or both. He didn’t like the fact that his lawlessness and that of his minions in California is being challenged by the federal government. He went on camera to put the matter in the hands of his media propagandists to bail them out. Brown said, “It’s really unprecedented, for the chief law enforcement officer of the United States, to come out to California and act more like Fox News than a law enforcement officer.” Of course that statement makes no sense. Sessions was telling the crooked governor and his rebellious comrades defying federal law that they can’t get away with it. How are those the actions of Fox News? This year... the campaign hopes to highlight global gender inequalities and advocate change under the slogan “Press for Progress.” Women across the globe face unique challenges to obtaining the same rights and privileges as their male counterparts. Recent protests over compulsory hijab laws in Iran remind us all why International Women’s Day is important. In December 2017, protests broke out across Iran over the negligence of government officials and the failing Iranian economy. However, the protests quickly gave way to a public outcry over gender discrimination laws. San Diego Schools Ordered To Reveal
Correspondence With Muslim Advocacy Group

{ dailycaller.com } ~ A federal judge ordered the San Diego Unified School District on Tuesday to hand over evidence detailing its correspondence with the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR)... about the implementation of a controversial anti-Islamophobia bullying initiative at San Diego public schools. The development is the latest in a long-running saga concerning school officials in San Diego coordinating with CAIR, an American-Muslim civil rights and religious organization with known links to a number of anti-Israel groups such as the Muslim Brotherhood. The controversy began in April when the San Diego school district announced it was launching an anti-Islamophobia initiative to combat what it described as a vast and underreported epidemic of anti-Muslim bullying in the district’s schools... { dailycaller.com } ~ A university scientist is 99 percent certain bones found on an island in the Pacific Ocean belong to Amelia Earhart... according to a Wednesday report. Earhart – the first woman to fly an airplane over the Atlantic Ocean – and her navigator, Fred Noonan, went missing somewhere over the Pacific in 1937 while attempting to fly around the world. University of Tennessee skeletal biology expert Richard Jantz asserted his certainty after estimating Earhart’s bone size and comparing them to measurements taken from bones found on Nikumaroro – an island about 400 miles south of one of Earhart’s planned stops, Howland Island, the Daily Mail reported... http://dailycaller.com/2018/03/07/amelia-earhart-bones-found/?utm_medium=email .

DOJ Sues California Over Immigration Obstruction
by Nate Jackson: The Justice Department filed suit Tuesday against the state of California over the Golden State’s obstruction of federal immigration law. Specifically, the DOJ seeks an injunction against three recent California laws that are deliberately interfering with immigration enforcement. One law prevents businesses from cooperating with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials by giving workers extra “protections.” Another grants authority to state officials to inspect and monitor Department of Homeland Security-run detention facilities in California. And the third is the infamous sanctuary state law that took effect Jan. 1 — the law prohibits state or local law enforcement officials from notifying their federal counterparts when an illegal alien ends up in custody, or from transferring those prisoners. Laws meant to protect the lawless are ironic, indeed. “The Department of Justice and the Trump Administration are going to fight these unjust, unfair and unconstitutional policies,” said Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Last year, the Justice Department also moved to defund sanctuary cities, which is being challenged in court.
California is a key battleground because an estimated 2.5 million illegals reside there. That number will no doubt increase. State Attorney General Xavier Becerra, who is named in the DOJ suit, insists California will continue to “keep our communities safe.” In fact, he argues, “We believe we are in full compliance with the federal Constitution and federal law.” Democrats sure have a funny way of defining those terms.
In some cases, the state is doing even more than claiming supremacy of state law over federal law, in violation of the Constitution’s Supremacy Clause (Article VI, Clause 2). One example is the recent case of Oakland’s Democrat mayor, Libby Schaaf, publicly warning illegals of upcoming ICE raids, saving an estimated 800 illegals from arrest. It’s one thing to leave enforcement of federal law to the feds and another to actively obstruct that enforcement. Such is the way of today’s Democrat Party. ~The Patriot Post
