House Democrats Doom nObama's Trade Deal
In a vote that served a smackdown on nObama's trade deal with Pacific countries, House Democrats voted against a provision that was supposed to sweeten the legislation allowing nObama the authority to fast track the Trans-Pacific Partnership. The Senate had sent two measures to the House: Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) was the legislation that gave the chief executive authority to negotiate this trade deal, and Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA), a Democrat priority, was legislation that — as the leftists viewed it — protected American workers (read: unions) when the economy experienced freer global trade. On Friday, the House overwhelmingly rejected TAA in a 302-126 vote and narrowly passed TPA 219-211. Both chambers need to agree on the legislation before it heads to nObama's desk. So TPA will head back to the Senate where it may or may not pass; the bill's on life support.
This comes as nObama lobbied hard for the measure to pass. He showed up at the congressional baseball game to personally lobby lawmakers. He even made his way to Capitol Hill to talk to Democrats — the first time in two years. It was personal, it was desperate and, ouch, Pulosi and Co. betrayed him. "Basically, the president tried to both guilt people and then impugned their integrity, and I don't think it was a very effective tactic," said Democrat Rep. Peter Defazio (D-OR). Both parties are split in Congress over the issue. But those who love Liberty should appreciate that we have more time to debate a trade deal.  -The Patriot Post

China's Theft of Federal Employee Data Demands a Response
Not only has China scraped up the data from all federal employees past and present, the Office of Personnel Management said it had "a high degree of confidence" that the country has every SF-86 form submitted by any American seeking a security clearance. Former general council to the NSA and former National Counter terrorism Center head Matthew Olsen said the data could be used many different ways by the oppressive Chinese regime, "whether it's [to] blackmail, to recruit, [or] to punish individuals in China who are connected to people in the United States." As it's been said before, China has been creating a massive database on American citizens, and it has also hacked into the databases of health insurance companies in the past to gather data. Furthermore, anonymous sources are saying the data theft of federal employees didn't just affect four million people. Instead, the breach could affect as many as 14 million Americans. In response to impeding U.S. intelligence efforts, cataloging Americans like merchandise and sitting poised to wreak further havoc on our country, let's hope the U.S. is also matching China's data collection efforts. In this game of espionage, let's make it so China also cannot keep secrets. More...

 June Deadline for 'Islamic Bomb'
As yet another supposed "deadline" approaches for a final agreement with Iran over its nuclear program, the sheer determination of Barack nObama to get any deal he can before he leaves office — literally any deal — becomes more and more the driving force behind our negotiating position.
Having once said "We cannot allow Iran to get a nuclear weapon; it would be a game-changer in the region" and claiming "I will always keep the threat of military action on the table," nObama is now willing to ignore Iranian nuclear violations, ignore Iran's willful violation of UN Security Council resolutions, ignore Iran's role in the Syrian war, ignore Iran's continued arming and equipping of Hezbollah, ignore Iran's defacto control of Iraq, ignore the mortal threat a nuclear Iran would pose to Israel, and ignore the history of the current Iranian regime, all in the hope of getting something on paper with which to declare his foreign policy legacy.
The most recent interim agreement openly ceded to Iran everything it needs to produce nuclear weapons if it will only refrain from open mischief for ten years. Ten years is a blink of an eye to a nation. Consider that just slightly more than ten years ago a previously little-known Illinois senator was delivering the keynote address at the Democrat National Convention in Boston, or that nearly 25 years have passed since the first Gulf War.
With a sense of its own history stretching back nearly 6,000 years, Iran understands how quickly ten years will pass, at which time it can begin industrial-scale enrichment without penalty. Ten years will also produce advances in Iran's ballistic missile program, another subject once linked to the nuclear program but now tossed aside by the White House.  -The Patriot Post

It’s REALLY more like ‘Jeb?’ Than ‘Jeb!’
The biggest disadvantage that Jeb Bush has isn’t his last name, but rather the relative quality of the Republican field he is facing.
That’s not to say that being George W. Bush’s little brother is an unalloyed positive for the former Florida governor. But as polls have shown, it is (no surprise) less of a problem for GOP primary voters than with the general electorate. Plus, Dubya is mellowing in the cask of public opinion, especially as President nObama flails about over Iraq.
The younger Bush obviously understands the liabilities involved with his family name and the basic American resistance to dynasties. Otherwise, he wouldn’t pick a logo that emphasizes a nickname that sounds as if it were ringing across the tennis courts at Andover.
But don’t let them kid you. If you wanted to be president and could choose whether to be the son and brother of presidents or be the son of a small-town preacher or a Miami bartender, you know what you’d pick. Bush was born on third base; everybody else had to hit a triple.
But still, as he launches his official candidacy, Bush is struggling to assert his dominance. Bush is probably a better establishment-backed candidate than either of the two after his brother, and both John McCain and Mitt Romney won by comfortable margins. Yet, this time seems different.
Part of it is technique. While Hilly Clinton has lowered the bar dramatically for forthrightness, accountability and probity, Bush’s decision to invoke his Right to Raise unlimited sums for six months before actually declaring hasn’t exactly set him up to run as the tribune of the people.
But the biggest part is that Bush is facing serious competition. In 2008, Romney had to keep other viable establishmentarians out of the field, particularly then-Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels. Once the field was set, Romney had only one real threat: then Texas Gov. Rick Perry. But Perry was a bust. Everything after was just delaying the inevitable.
This time, Bush has at least two rivals in Gov. Scott Walker, R-Wisc., and Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., whose talents and positions make them real alternatives. Remember, the way the previous two candidates put away the nomination: Mainstream Republicans blanched at the thought of nominating candidates seen, fairly or not, as one-dimensional, social issue grinds.
Neither Walker nor Rubio is that kind of candidate. If either makes it into the home stretch with Bush, the surge is more likely to come for the underdog rather than the current frontrunner. Unless Walker and Rubio succeed in destroying each other and leaving the way open for a riskier pick, Bush will not have the advantage of declaring his final foe electorally toxic.
Jeb Bush is a better candidate in many ways than Romney or McCain were. But unfortunately for him, his chief rivals are furlongs ahead of the 2008 and 2012 pack.  -Fox News

 Is Israel Alone?
(Michael Doran, Elliott Abrams & Charles Krauthammer) ~ The last years have strained the relationship between the United States and the State of Israel. The two nations have serious policy disagreements and the nation’s leaders deeply distrust one another... Is this a true crisis? Is the America-Israel relationship fundamentally changing? Is Israel alone in an increasingly dangerous Middle East? Israelis and American friends of Israel hope that ties of popular affinity, military cooperation, intelligence sharing, and strategic alliance against radical Islamism and terror bind the two states together. For the moment, both of America’s major political parties pledge to stand behind Israel at the United Nations and on the battlefield. Practically all Israelis across the political spectrum believe that strong ties with the United States are important to the survival of the Jewish State. Judging by these lights, at least, one might think that we are going through a bad patch—as Israel has with previous American administrations of both political parties.       http://tikvahfund.org/advanced-institutes/is-israel-alone-the-past-present-and-future-of-the-u-s-israel-relationship/?utm_source=Mosaic+Newsletter&utm_campaign=5caa8050f0-Tikvah_Institutes_Fall_20156_16_2015&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_0b0517b2ab-5caa8050f0-42459765

God, Politics, and the Future of Europe
(George Weigel) ~ Europe—for so long the political, cultural, and military center of the world—is in crisis... Various European countries are in the grips of economic calamity, reflecting a mix of unwise policies and cultural exhaustion. Demographic decline is weakening the entire continent. In many European capitals, Islamic radicalism—including violent crime and outright terror—is on the rise, and the return of anti-Semitism is raising questions about Europe’s dark past, and leaving many Jews to wonder whether they need to exit en masse for their own safety and dignity. From Dublin to Athens, from Lisbon to Warsaw, religious observance is down or non-existent, and the spirit of nihilism pervades the land. The problems in Europe seem only more remarkable in light of the European faith in its own post-national experiment—the belief that the centralized administration of the continent would create a new, pacified, welfare-state model for all. But this dream now likes more like the beginnings of a new nightmare.        http://tikvahfund.org/advanced-institutes/god-politics-and-the-future-of-europe/?utm_source=Mosaic+Newsletter&utm_campaign=5caa8050f0-Tikvah_Institutes_Fall_20156_16_2015&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_0b0517b2ab-5caa8050f0-42459765

Why the Liberals Can’t Get It
(Dr. Michael Ledeen) ~ I am a big fan of John Hinderaker over at Powerline, and you can see why if you read one of his latest, this one about the Democrats’ lack of any sort of coherent national security policy. Here is the essence of it... Democrats are incapable of devising a coherent strategy for dealing with (our problems), and seemingly don’t even try to do so. The charitable explanation is that they are incompetent. But perhaps it is because they aren’t sure what their desired ends are. Do they want the U.S. to win? Do they want us to be powerful, prosperous, influential and successful? That is not a hard question for most Americans, but it is for leading Democrats like nObama and Clinton. If you don’t know the answer to that question, then coming up with a strategy is tough. That, I suspect, is what we have seen for the last six or seven years. It’s the basic question about the nObama administration (Hinderaker however is focused on Hilly Clinton and her failed Libyan actions): is the long list of foreign policy failures due to stupidity and incompetence, or to some sort of purposeful malevolence?       http://www.aim.org/guest-column/why-the-liberals-cant-get-it/?utm_source=AIM+-+Daily+Email&utm_campaign=email061615&utm_medium=email

nObama Prepares More ‘Executive Actions’ On Global Warming
(Michael Bastasch) ~ President Barack nObama is preparing to unleash a series of “executive actions” aimed at boosting the green energy industry as part of the president’s global warming agenda... nObama is launching a “Clean Energy Impact Investment Center” at the Energy Department to “make information about energy and climate programs … accessible and more understandable to the public, including to mission-driven investors.” The White House is also ordering the IRS to come out with guidance and rules to get nonprofits to invest in green energy technologies, along with creating more government financing options for small businesses looking to go green.        http://dailycaller.com/2015/06/16/obama-prepares-more-executive-actions-on-global-warming/

Illegals Who Kill and the President That Loves Them
(ixthisnation.com) ~ According to President nObama and the Democrats, we have nothing to fear from illegal immigrants. Many support turning off our immigration laws altogether and throwing the border wide open... Let any Mexican or South American who wants a home in America to simply ride into the country for a swift path to citizenship. But a new case has shed light on a deportation system that is failing to keep American citizens safe from the bad guys. Government data released Monday shows that 121 illegals who were released back into the community went on to commit “homicide-related” crimes. This data has indicated to many critics that we are not doing enough to pursue deportation for these illegals. The case brings to light the problems regarding the deportation of illegals. Under a 2001 Supreme Court ruling, illegals can only be detained for six months. This puts the administration in a tough spot, especially when the home country will not have the immigrant back. But experts say the majority of these cases have more to do with ICE’s discretionary policies than they do strict time limits on detention.        http://www.fixthisnation.com/conservative-breaking-news/illegals-who-kill-and-the-president-that-loves-them/

Feds Can’t Verify $2.8 Billion in nObamacare Subsidies
(Elizabeth Harrington) ~ The federal government cannot verify nearly $3 billion in subsidies distributed through nObamacare, putting significant taxpayer funding “at risk,” according to a new audit report... The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Inspector General (OIG) released an audit Tuesday finding that the agency did not have an internal system to ensure that subsidies went to the right enrollees, or in the correct amounts. “The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services CMS’s internal controls did not effectively ensure the accuracy of nearly $2.8 billion in aggregate financial assistance payments made to insurance companies under the Affordable Care Act during the first four months that these payments were made,” the OIG said. “CMS’s system of internal controls could not ensure that CMS made correct financial assistance payments,” they said. This smells fishy to me.        http://freebeacon.com/issues/feds-cant-verify-2-8-billion-in-obamacare-subsidies/

Face Reality: Many Muslims Support ISIS
(Tarek Fatah) ~ In the last week of May, the Qatar-based Arabic news network Al-Jazeera polled its Arabic-language audience on the question... "Do you support the victories of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in your region?" The results were shocking. Of the 56,881 Arabic-speaking respondents, a whopping 81% voted yes. The results of this online survey may not be scientific. But they do provide anecdotal evidence of what many see as a rise in the support of Islamism in the Arab Middle East, among Muslims in the Indo-Pakistan subcontinent, and in the diaspora in Britain and France. On Monday, a 17-year-old Briton became that country's youngest suicide bomber after he blew up a brand new SUV packed with explosives in the northern Iraqi town of Baiji. Talha Asmal had Arabized his name to Abu Yusuf al-Britani and is the latest young person used by jihadi Islamists as cannon fodder in their quest to establish an Islamic caliphate. This is laid out in sharia law, as a precursor to the Islamic Armageddon enshrined in Hadith literature, based on Prophet Mohammed's prophesy.       http://www.meforum.org/5331/many-muslims-support-isis

nObama: Muslim Jihadists Can Join American Military To Be Trained
(Theodore Shoebat) ~ The nObama administration has now given an invitation to jihadists to join military forces in the Middle East to be trained by US troops so that they can learn how to fight against Bashar al-Assad. Middle East analyst Robert Olson reports on the story... The administration's assessment that the American people don't care that much about the wars in Iraq and Syria is correct, in spite of hawkish members of Congress who trumpet the need for more "boots on the ground." This situation could quickly change if a Republican were to be elected president. I would not doubt for a moment that these trained jihadists will use their American training against US citizens in America. No doubt these jihadists will kill Christians. nObama is helping create an army that will persecute and slaughter Christians. There is no doubt nObama has done many wrong things and this is one of them.        http://freedomoutpost.com/2015/06/the-obama-administration-declares-that-muslim-jihadists-can-join-american-military-forces-to-be-trained-by-us-soldiers/

Checking China’s military build-up in the South China Sea
(James A. Lyons & Richard Fisher) ~ China intends to ignore the nObama administration’s demand that it halt its military base-building in the South China Sea. It is time for Washington to face a new reality... Either it leads the way to a new “armed peace” in this region, or China will soon commence a war for domination. First, it is important to understand why China will continue to ignore Washington, as it has rebuffed nearly 20 years of regional diplomacy seeking to avoid conflict over this crucial maritime region, now used annually by 40 percent of the world’s merchant ships. Simply put, for China’s Communist Party leadership, control of the South China Sea is essential to protect Hainan Island as a base from which it intends to project global military and space power, and which it views as essential to ensuring the survival of its political dictatorship.       http://www.aim.org/guest-column/checking-chinas-military-build-up-in-the-south-china-sea/?utm_source=AIM+-+Daily+Email&utm_campaign=email061715&utm_medium=email

 REPUBLICANS QUIVERING IF OBAMACARE OVERTURNED
(Garth Kant) ~ The congressman’s voice was calm but there was exasperation in his words, and an implicit concern that Republicans were poised to snatch defeat from the jaws of a major victory... Referring to a Supreme Court decision, due any day now, that could effectively overturn nObamacare, U.S. Rep. Raul Labrador, R-Idaho, lamented, “I think there is some fear in some circles in the Republican Party that if this decision goes our way that it’s actually bad for us.” Sounding incredulous, he told reporters on Capitol Hill, “And I’m having a hard time understanding that, because, if it goes our way, then it will be exactly as we’ve been saying: that the way it was passed was wrong, that it was illegal and there might even be some constitutional issues with it.” The dilemma perceived by some in the GOP is, if the Supreme Court does rule in King v. Burwell that the federal health-care exchange was set up illegally, Republicans will get the blame when as many as 6.4 million Americans suddenly have no subsidies to pay for their insurance.     http://www.wnd.com/2015/06/republicans-quivering-if-obamacare-overturned/

(freedomsback.com) ~ It’s increasingly difficult to tell the difference between Teach for America — whose leaders are at the forefront of inflammatory anti-police protests in Baltimore, Ferguson, and now McKinney, Texas — and left-wing activist groups such as Organizing for Action (President nObama’s partisan community organizing army).
.
Guess what, taxpayers? You’re paying for it!
.
Wendy Kopp founded Teach for America in 1989 after writing her Princeton University thesis on the need for a “national teaching corps” of elite college grads who would serve students on short-term stints in low-income neighborhoods. The do-gooder group has exploded into a massive, nonprofit business.
.
“Between 2000 and 2013, ” researchers at the National Educational Policy Center reported, “TFA’s yearly operating expenditures increased 1,930 percent — from $10 million to $193.5 million. Of those expenditures, TFA annual reports show that about a third of operating costs are borne by the public.” Individual TFA chapters have raked in millions in federal AmeriCorps grants, supported by leaders in both political parties. Large corporations (including $100 million donor Wal-Mart), philanthropic foundations, and individuals have pitched in nearly a half-billion dollars in tax-deductible charitable private donations.
.
Teach for America spends copious amounts on advertising, lobbying and public relations to hype its academic benefits, but its record on producing benefits for students is mixed. Government teachers’ unions don’t like the organization’s fast-track “boot camp” training or its support of public charter schools. But those concerns pale in comparison to the divisive, grievance-mongering activities of the group’s increasingly radicalized officials and alumni.
.
TFA’s most infamous public faces don’t even pretend to be interested in students’ academic achievement. It’s all about race, tweets and marching on the streets.
.
In Durham, North Carolina, two Teach for America officials led costly traffic blockades over the Ferguson, Missouri, shooting last December. North Carolina blogger A.P. Dillon identified protester Rachel Schankula as a TFA executive coach and program director dating back to 2001. Protester Robert Terrell Stephens, cited by police for attempting to incite a riot, is currently TFA’s director of alumni teacher leadership and also served as a community organizer for nObama for America.
.
Deray McKesson, described by TFA as a “protestor,” is a finalist for the organization’s $10,000 Peter Jennings Award for Civic Leadership, which will be announced next month. He briefly taught sixth-grade math for the program before graduating to full-time racial rabble-rousing.
.
A gushing New York Times reporter credited McKesson and his social justice warrior partners with building “the most formidable American protest movement of the 21st century to date.” He uses Twitter to jump the gun on every police-related shooting across the country. He fanned the flames over the bogus “NAACP bombing” in Colorado Springs. This week, McKesson scurried to McKinney, Texas, along with the National of Islam, New Black Panther Party, and assorted rent-a-mob professionals, to turn a pool party fight into an international incident.
.
“We are currently at the McKinney Police Department, occupying space,” he breathlessly reported. One of his fellow peace-loving instigators at the rally thundered: “We’re setting the stage for a terrorist attack in this country, and the group is not going to be ISIS.”
.
Another fellow TFA traveler is Brittany Packnett, the executive director of St. Louis’s Teach for America chapter. She’s also a finalist for the group’s Peter Jennings Award and a McKesson ally. They published a Ferguson newsletter together, distributing it to activists around the country — and inside the Justice Department. Her Twitter profile shows her making the debunked “Hands up, don’t shoot” gesture in front of a line of police officers. Credited with putting the “#BlackLivesMatter” Twitter hashtag on the map, the 29-year-old St. Louis-area activist was tapped by President nObama to join his federal policing commission.
.
Packnett briefly taught third grade as a TFA instructor in Washington, D.C., before diving into political organizing to represent “our collective truth” and promote “the urgency of now.”
.
Packnett pointedly praises “the fact that TFA has consistently had my back” in her quest for “disruptive change and systemic change.” She bragged that TFA co-CEO Matt Kramer accompanied her to protests in St. Louis. Another proud moment for TFA’s St. Louis leader: Her conversion of a 25-year-friend who went from having actual jobs as a pharmacy technician and furniture store employee to becoming a “field organizer for the Organization for Black Struggle.”
.
Teach for America has transformed itself into a recruiting center for militants bent on occupying themselves with anything other than imparting knowledge and academic excellence to children in the classroom. When a government-funded outfit abandons education as its mission in favor of social agitation, it’s time to cut off the taxpayer pipeline
