DISLIKE FOR HILLY INTENSIFIES     Hilly Clinton’s lead in the Democratic nominating contest keeps on sliding and a new poll today from Quinnipiac University shows the trend is intensifying. Clinton’s lead over Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders is down 15 points from last month.           While she might not have to worry too much about Sanders given her 23-point advantage, her 10 point slip from July seems largely attributable to increasing interest in Vice President loose lips Joe Biden, who is mulling a campaign.
The best selling point for loose lips Biden backers: Clinton runs considerably worse in head-to-head matchups with potential Republican opponents than loose lips Biden. She runs 4 points ahead of GOP frontrunner Donald Trump, while loose lips Biden doubles that. Even socialist Sanders beats Jeb Bush by more than Clinton.           And surely by now you know the reason why.           Views of Clinton have turned intensely sour in recent weeks as her ongoing email scandal has left her and her campaign in a defensive crouch. Clinton’s net favorability rating among all voters – a more valuable general election metric in the early going than horse-race numbers – is now a dreadful negative 12 points. That puts her in the same neighborhood as Rick Santorum and Martin O’Malley. Probably not the company she expected to be keeping just now.           Clinton’s numbers have come to look a lot like those of her GOP counterpart, Trump. They are the best known candidates, with 92 percent of voters having formed opinions about each of them, and those opinions are not good. Fifty-four percent of voters think ill of Trump, compared to 51 percent for Clinton.           Clinton’s advantage over Trump is that she faces much less resistance in her own party. Three quarters of Democrats have favorable views of Clinton – 10 points less than loose lips Biden, but still sturdy. Trump, on the other hand, is seen negatively by nearly a third of GOP voters.           Only 11 percent of Democrats said they would “definitely not” back Clinton compared to 26 for Trump with the GOP. Third-place GOP candidate Bush can be happy that a quarter of his party is keeping an open mind, but the grim news is that more than twice as many respondents would never consider supporting him (18 percent) than are currently backing his candidacy (7 percent). Only 9 percent of GOP respondents are waiting to hear more about Trump before making up their minds.           The poll shows continued good news for Ben Carson. He’s pulled into second place behind Trump in the race for the GOP nomination and he has the best overall favorability score of any candidate in the race. The best liked candidate among GOP primary voters, though, is Marco Rubio, viewed favorably by 72 percent of his fellow Republicans. Carson is second in the GOP with 62 percent favorability.

The Judge’s Ruling: Sweater weather -  From failed operations in Libya and Syria to unsecured email on her private server, Senior Judicial Analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano asks whether Hilly Clinton has been pulling the wool over our eyes for years. “What if Clinton just doesn’t care whether she has broken any federal laws, illegally caused the deaths of thousands of innocents, and profoundly jeopardized and misled the American people? What if the American people do care about all this? What will they do about it?” Read here.

HILLY’S NIGHTMARE HAUNTS DEMS  Democrats should be living the dream. Hilly Clinton is leading challengers by double digits, flush with cash and backed by a massive campaign machine. With the frontrunner set to address the Democratic National Committee summer meeting today, even some chaffing between the campaign and the DNC over shared fundraising has been resolved. So are party officials basking in late August warmth in Minneapolis?  Uh, better grab a sweater.           Instead, delegates are shivering as the nightmarish reality of Clinton’s campaign plays on. Her brand name has been tattooed with “liar,” adding to doubts about her electability. Her response to the email scandal, from joking, to maybe it wasn’t the “best choice” has many Democrats bewildered and donors hedging their bets.           Given Clinton’s presumed nominee status, the party’s options aren’t great. Bernie Sanders is drawing big crowds but has a problems with key elements of the base and his the narrowcast populist platform make electability doubtful as well. Other declared candidates are hardly blips on the political radar screen.           Then there’s loose lips Joe: a sitting vice president wondering aloud to DNC attendees if he has the heart to run. loose lips Biden won’t be in Minnesota, but his backers are and they’ve been selling their man as party’s last best savior. His polling numbers are stronger than Clinton’s against Republicans, but the some of the glow that has built up around loose lips Biden is bound to dissipate if he decides to take the plunge.           As for Hilly, the space she’s been giving loose lips Joe to “make the right decision” has apparently reached its limit. Word is out that her campaign has heard enough loose lips Biden talk and is launching a massive messaging effort at the DNC meeting to counter doubts about her vulnerability. Whether that’s convincing enough to still the jitters among the party elite remains to be seen.           One thing is certain: however effective her presentation may be, the 3-day summer meeting ends this weekend. The drip, drip, drip of Hilly’s email mess will be with her for the foreseeable future.

Clinton aide emails raise conflict questions -  Fox News: “Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, questioned whether Huma Abedin’s status as a Special Government Employee (SGE), which enabled her to hold four positions simultaneously, created conflicts of interest…Grassley’s letter was prompted by emails from Abedin’s official State Department account obtained by Fox News…[in the messages] Abedin discusses diplomatic matters as well as issues related to her work for both the Clinton Foundation and Teneo, a firm co-founded by a longtime aide to former president Bill Clinton.”

Pentagon Not Targeting Islamic State Training Camps {BIll Gertz} - The Pentagon has not conducted airstrikes against an estimated 60 Islamic State (IS) training camps that are supplying thousands of fighters each month to the terror group, according to defense and intelligence officials... The camps are spread throughout Islamic State-controlled areas of Iraq and Syria and are off limits in the U.S.-led international bombing campaign because of concerns about collateral damage, said officials familiar with planning and execution of the yearlong bombing campaign. Additionally, the IS (also known as ISIS or ISIL) camps have been so successful that Islamic State leaders are considering expanding the camps to Libya and Yemen. Both states have become largely ungoverned areas in recent years.        http://freebeacon.com/national-security/pentagon-not-targeting-islamic-state-training-camps/

Terror mastermind's arrest highlights Iran's role
{Charles Hoskinson} - Saudi Arabia has arrested the mastermind of the 1996 bombing of the Khobar Towers housing complex in which 19 U.S. service members were killed and 372 injured, a Saudi-owned newspaper said Wednesday... Ahmed al-Mughassil was arrested in Beirut and handed over to Saudi custody, the pan-Arab Asharq al-Awsat daily said. A U.S. official, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed the capture to the Associated Press. The announcement of his arrest is a convenient reminder for opponents of President Obama's nuclear deal with Iran that Tehran has been a major supporter of terrorist attacks that have killed U.S. service members. One prominent national security expert called the timing of the arrest "suspicious."         http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/terror-masterminds-arrest-highlights-irans-role/article/2570900

Now Exposed - Iran is Already Waging War Against Israel
On August 16, the Israeli Army revealed that Iran has been directing terrorist attacks from Syria against Israelis in the Golan Heights region... Nobody paid attention. Four days later, Iranian-sponsored rockets from Syria struck Israel's Upper Galilee. Is anybody listening now? For weeks, supporters of Israel have been warning that the emerging Iran agreement would give Tehran funds that it could use to wage war against Israel through its proxies. But now it turns out that Iran is already waging that war. The question is, who is paying attention?.        http://www.israelnationalnews.com/Articles/Article.aspx/17471#.VeMmupuFOwU

Pentagon Silent on Top-Secret Data Was Compromised in Clinton Emails
The Pentagon on Tuesday sidestepped questions about whether top-secret intelligence, including secrets derived from reconnaissance satellites and aircraft, was compromised after being placed on unsecure emails found on Hilly Clinton’s private server... Pentagon Press Secretary Peter Cook, in an inaugural briefing for reporters, would not answer questions about the secret intelligence found by an inspector general in a sampling of emails once stored on Clinton’s unsecured server. The email system was used by the former secretary of state from 2009 to 2013. So far, some 305 emails containing classified data have been found among some 60,000 emails once kept on the private server.        http://freebeacon.com/national-security/pentagon-silent-on-whether-top-secret-data-was-compromised-in-clinton-emails/

It’s no secret that President nObama and his Democratic Party want to restrict the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms... In addition, First Amendment religious-freedoms protections have been challenged by nObamacare. And freedom of speech? That’s just fine as long as it lines up with the “same-sex marriage” social agenda. Now, a case is posing a challenge to the Fifth Amendment’s property rights and due process protections along with the Sixth Amendment’s assurance of counsel for those accused of crimes. The U.S. Supreme Court now is posed with the question: Does the government have the right to charge you with a crime and then seize your bank accounts, checkbook, savings and other assets so that you cannot afford to hire a lawyer to defend yourself?        http://www.wnd.com/2015/08/now-feds-targeting-2-more-constitutional-rights/

Watch Hilly Get Burned By Fox News Reporter Hilly Clinton’s in hot, hot water. That’s because  while scouring her emails the FBI has found a total of 300+ possibly classified emails, 65 or so of those are certainly classified, and at least 2 are as top-secret as you can get... And there’s an entire email server full of emails to be sorted through. At least that’s what the company who was tasked with securing her email server said. But when Mrs. Clinton was pressed on whether or not she looked to destroy all the emails on the server her response was as bogus as could be and she gets taken to task over her sad responses.

China and Russia are Waging War on America
In a typically cynical article, “GOP presidential candidates have a new country to bash: the People’s Republic of China,” Politico complains about “China-bashing” by various Republican candidates... The story by Nahal Toosi carries the headline, “The Republicans’ Red Scare,” but only mentions one time that China is a “communist-led state.” Politico uses the term “red scare” to suggest that the problem is being greatly exaggerated. If there is any doubt about the “red” in Red China, consider the Chinese Constitution, which declares, “The People’s Republic of China is a socialist state under the people’s democratic dictatorship led by the working class and based on the alliance of workers and peasants. The socialist system is the basic system of the People’s Republic of China. Sabotage of the socialist system by any organization or individual is prohibited.” Mao Zedong, considered by many the greatest mass murderer in history, is pictured on the Chinese currency.

Judge Tells Government They Cannot Force nObamacare Mandates
Monday was a wonderful day in court for conservatives and pro-lifers across the nation. Federal judge Richard Leon handed down his ruling on Monday, permanently prohibiting the federal government from forcing its nObamacare abortion-pill mandate on any pro-life organization – regardless of its religious beliefs... Up until this decision the nObama administration had argued that any organization that was not a church or religious organization could be forced to offer abortifacients and other contraceptives through their health care plans. However, Judge Richard Leon disagreed. Judge Leon found that an organization’s moral objections (religious or otherwise) were enough to keep the government from forcing certain nObamacare provisions on them.

Hilly Clinton’s Argument for Private Email Server is Literally Unbelievable
{Onan Coca} - NBC’s chief political correspondent, Chuck Todd, appeared on NBC’s Today Show Tuesday morning and made a couple interesting points while discussing the ongoing Hilly Clinton email scandal... First, Todd notes that the argument that the Clinton campaign has used thus far to fend off criticism for having a private server is actually the worst possible argument they could have offered. Todd brings up a particular email in the recent crop of released emails that shows Clinton’s chief aide Huma Abedin telling Clinton that the State Department IT department didn’t know about her private email account. Todd then uses this example to wonder how in the world it could be MORE convenient to have a private email account when the State Department offers so much more by way of technical support, privacy, security, etc. Basically, the point is this…There is NO WAY that using her own private email server was more “convenient” than just using the email provided by the State Department.        http://eaglerising.com/23236/hillary-clintons-argument-for-private-email-server-is-unbelievable/

Emergency Order: U.S. Opens Door to Yemeni Refugees
{Adam Kredo} ~ The nObama administration issued a directive late Wednesday to grant Temporary Protective Status (TPS) to Yemeni nationals currently residing in the United States, according to an order approved by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)... Yemeni nationals seeking shelter from the war-torn country, where Iranian-backed militias are seeking to overthrow government forces, will be permitted asylum in America, according to the order, which came as a result of efforts undertaken by the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC), a group known for its fierce and sometimes conspiracy-fueled criticism of Israel. The order officially designated Yemen as a TPS nation “for a period of 18 months, effective September 3, 2015, through March 3, 2017,” according to an advance copy of the directive published by the ADC.

{tommclaughlin.blogspot.com} - Looking, as he does, like Mussolini with an orange pompadour, I found it hard to take Donald Trump seriously. For the past few months, however, I’ve been watching, fascinated, as he deals with criticism from members of our media elite who have long taken themselves too seriously.
.
He deals with them as a parent might deal with a confused adolescent, and I have to say I’m beginning to like him. He baffled NBC’s Chuck Todd on Meet The Press last week when he said about illegal immigrants: “They have to go.”
.
“Chuck,” said Trump, but Todd interrupted again, saying “You’re going to deport children?”
.
.
“No, no,” said Trump. “We’re going to keep families together. We have to keep the families together.”
.
Todd interrupted again. “But you’re going to keep them together — out?”
.
“They have to go,” repeated Trump.
.
“What if they have no place to go?” said Todd, interrupting yet again.
.
“Chuck,” said Trump — this time putting his hand on Todd’s arm in an attempt to get him to stop interrupting, “We’ll work with them, but they have to go. Either we have a country or we don’t have a country.”
.
trumpiowa_0-700x394.jpg
.
And there it was — a simple, common-sense statement that summed up the whole issue. Either we have a country or we don’t have a country. That’s how Trump is. He speaks extemporaneously. He doesn’t travel with a teleprompter like our dear leader in the White House. He doesn’t read speeches prepared by others. He doesn’t work from note cards. He talks. He explains. When questioned he comes back with real answers, not equivocations.
.
Obama-Teleprompter-2.jpg
.
Pundits on both the left and the right are baffled. They said Trump’s popularity was a flash in the pan and he would soon flame out. I thought so too, but he hasn’t. During the first debate, the three moderators from Fox News were loaded for bear and they blasted him from the starting gun, but he hung in there and even started turning it around on them. That was when I realized what was happening.

Trump’s growing support is not unlike the phenomenon we called “The Tea Party” a few years ago. That same exasperation with Washington is out there, but now it is without a name. Trump’s support is made up of people who are sick of the status quo. They elected a House Republican majority, then a Senate Republican majority, but those Republicans aren’t doing anything to stop our runaway government the way they promised they would. They’re right in it with the Democrats.
.

What the Tea Party got from the Republican Establishment
.      If there’s one thing the federal government is supposed to do, it is to police our borders — prevent invasion. But we have been invaded by more than 30 million illegal aliens and neither political party is doing anything stop it. They believe Trump will, and they’re getting behind him.

Standing in Nogales, AZ looking across border
.
Five years ago, I went down to the Mexican border to see for myself what was going on. I rented a jeep and drove along our side of the fence in Nogales, Arizona. The first Border Patrol Agent I spoke to was from Lisbon Falls, Maine and he confirmed to me that the chaos I saw was just how it was down there all the time. He warned me that it wasn’t safe for me to even be there, and I was standing on American soil!
.
AmericaEaglewatchingGOP.jpg
.
About a month later I was invited to voice a conservative viewpoint on a local New Hampshire television show. “Do you represent the Tea Party?” the host asked me.
.
“No,” I said. “The Tea Party is an amorphous group without official leaders or representatives or any real organizational structure, but my views are representative.” Then I explained that we believe the Constitution is being ignored by the federal government, which is seizing too much power and needs to be cut back.
.

Whatever the movement comes to be called this election cycle, it’s already having a huge impact on the presidential race. Templates used to analyze past races don’t apply to this one, and pundits are baffled. Republicans are led by Trump, but right behind him is another non-politician: neurosurgeon Ben Carson. Behind him, non-politician and former Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina is rising steadily.

.
Over on the Democrat side, it’s all senators and a governor, but perceived as an outsider because he’s a socialist, Bernie Sanders is coming on strong. One thing he has in common with Trump? He says what he thinks and eschews professional handlers. Ordinary people in the “way down here” like that because they’re sick of political rhetoric. The pundits are still shaking their heads over how Maine Governor Paul LePage ever got reelected. He’s another guy who says what he thinks and people like that. He also does things, his favorite motto being: “When all is said and done, a whole lot more is said than done.”
