Oregon Bakers Must Pay Fine by Monday
The state's assault on the Oregon bakers who declined to make a cake for a lesbian wedding isn't over. Oregon's Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI) has ordered Aaron and Melissa Klein, owners of the now-shuttered Sweet Cakes by Melissa, to pay their $135,000 fine by Monday, July 13 ... or else. "We have asked that they get in touch with us by July 13th either to make a payment in full, or an arrangement for partial payment, or as they know, they can contact our agency and seek what is called a stay of enforcement," BOLI said through a spokesman. If the Kleins seek a stay but are denied, they can appeal through the Oregon courts, but given the thorough smackdown they've already received a reprieve is unlikely. "Basically," said Aaron Klein, "the state of Oregon is saying we can kick you out of your house and make you homeless. They have no qualms about the fact that they're doing this to my five kids as well." That's because the Kleins committed the ultimate sin of crossing the Rainbow Mafia. The good news is the couple has raised more than $200,000 through a funding campaign (their first fundraising effort was shut down by GoFundMe, which claimed the Kleins' purpose was "discriminatory"). The bad news is their income has been halved since being forced to close their bakery. Aaron now works as a garbage collector to put food on the table for his family. -The Patriot Post

nObamaCare 'Death Panels' Resurrected
When Democrats can't get their agenda through the legislature via legitimate means, they turn to federal agencies to implement it instead. Case in point: nObamaCare. Leftists scored big with its passage in 2009, but fierce opposition to what became known as "death panels" forced them to abandon a provision that would have granted financial incentives to physicians providing counseling to aging Medicare patients. Now that nObamaCare is "the law of the land," as the Supreme Court has twice wrongly affirmed, the Department of Health and Human Services is taking matters into its own hands. This week, with the support of the American Medical Association, HHS put "death panels" back on the examination table. Advocates quickly noted it isn't a mandate. "Rather, the proposed regulation would allow medical providers to bill Medicare for 'advance-care planning' should a patient want to have the discussion," according to the Los Angeles Times. But we were also promised that we could keep our insurance plan if we liked it. The way some conservatives presented death panels in 2009 — ask your doctor if death is right for you — was somewhat of an exaggeration, but it maybe wasn't so much hyperbole as it was a prediction. Just five years ago, few thought same-sex marriage would be legal in 2015. In fact, Democrats like Hilly Clinton and Barack nObama, who now embrace same-sex marriage, once opposed it. For leftists, progress means moving the goal posts when the opportunity is convenient. That's why the idea of the government making life-and-death decisions isn't anything to scoff at. Mayor Local NAACP Not To Allow Republicans Into Their Office
Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake who told the police force to stand-down and become human-targets during the recent riots, and who was surprised when crime rose since that order is not very interested in unifying her city... Along with other Democratic Party leaders she told Hassan Giordano, a leader of a Baltimore branch of NAACP (he's a member of the executive Committee) that he was not allowed to bring Republicans into his office to try to outreach to the local African-American community. Mr. Giordano told The Daily Caller that he calls himself “not the average conservative” because of he is of Muslim faith, grew up in "the hood" and has criminal record. Actually he is not a member of either party, but thinks that the NAACP should work with both parties saying that blind allegiance to the Democratic Party hinders true civil rights progress.

On July 9, FBI Director James Comey reported that the agency several stopped potential acts of terrorism in the month before the July 4 holiday. Comey said they suspect that some of the more than 10 individuals arrested during that time were planning to exploit the holiday by committing acts of terror, although he shared no details of the potential plots that were supposedly thwarted, nor information on the identity of any individuals the FBI arrested. USS Cole's commander challenges bid to lift ban on oil exports
{John Siciliano} ~ A retired U.S. Navy commander is pushing back against a House Energy and Commerce Committee bill to repeal the decades-old ban on oil exports, saying it would likely raise prices and drive the nation to increase imports... Kirk Lippold, a retired U.S. Navy commander who is now the head of a veterans advocacy group, said he disagreed with the bill the hearing on Thursday was considering.
Instead, Lippold advised the Republican leadership to take a step back and apply "caution" before seeking to push ahead the measure, which he said would have few of the intended effects raised by advocates.

Finally, no matter what direction the Earth’s climate headed in and no matter what type of natural disaster occurred, man could be made the scapegoat and mankind forced to pay up.

{rickwells.us} ~ The Argentine Marxist wolf in Vatican sheep’s robes, Pope Francis, is quoted in the New York Times as having characterized capitalism as being the “dung of the Devil,” and branded it as a systemic “greed for money.”... Those statements would indicate he’s quite comfortable in his own hypocrisy, exercising his lust for America’s supposedly ill-gotten wealth in conjunction with the UN, his global comrades, and the moneyed elites that have hijacked America. Francis’ covetousness isn’t very unbecoming of a Pope. Attempting to redistribute what others earned through their own hard work, justified supposedly because he disagrees with our politics is naked, probably self-forgiven papal greed. He’s claiming global warming gives him a right that it doesn’t, a claim of moral justification that is strictly offered for public consumption. Marxists and materialists don’t believe in any rights other than their own, which are unlimited. The end justifies the means and Francis has his eyes on our stuff and our country.

Just as the rule of immigration law was nullified by placing a corrupt anti-American into the position of DHS Secretary, state laws in California are controlled by individuals such as Ms Harris. They don’t answer to the Constitution or American principles but rather to their Marxist handlers. Harris was interviewed by the San Francisco Chronicle on Friday and defended putting Americans at risk to benefit illegals being used as tools in the dilution of our national identity and foundation. She attempted to divert attention from sanctuary city policies that she crafted by shifting the argument to the “need” for open borders, that somehow declaring the illegal invasion to be legal and assisting our enemies in overrunning us will make the problem disappear. Changing the definition of an illegal invasion would change the statistics. But the problem would remain and be magnified. As intelligent as Ms Harris perceives herself to be, clearly she is able to grasp the obvious and simply choosing to play the “blame the name” game anyway.

Capitol Hill’s abdication of its duties to protect and defend our borders is bad enough. But if people of faith choose to sit silently as a “new sanctuary movement” of tax-exempt houses of worship defiantly and recklessly undermines our immigration laws, our national sovereignty doesn’t have a prayer.
