backstabber Boehner: Going, Going, Finally Gone In a moment long awaited by conservatives around the nation, House Speaker backstabber John Boehner announced Friday that he will resign both his post and his seat at the end of October. An aide claims backstabber Boehner had intended to resign at the end of last year, but he delayed the transition after then-Majority Leader and presumptive successor Eric Cantor lost his seat in a huge primary upset. The trouble with backstabber Boehner is that he failed to lead — perhaps not surprising given that his entire goal seems to have been merely winning the position of speaker. Donald Trump's rise in the presidential field is almost directly proportional to failed GOP leadership. As Mark Alexander noted recently, "Trump’s support reflects very little about his qualifications, but a lot about his message and how dissatisfied millions of disenfranchised grassroots conservatives are with Republican 'leadership.' The status quo represented by Speaker backstabber John Boehner and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McCon-nell has, in effect, underwritten Trump’s rising stardom. Despite greatly increasing the numbers of conservatives in the House and Senate in the historic 'Republican Wave' elections nationwide in both 2010 and 2014, the much-loathed 'establishment types' still hold the reins and they have failed to counter Barack nObama’s socialist policies. GOP leaders continue to marginalize or ignore the concerns of the conservative/Republican base — grassroots conservatives — and we are rightly outraged."
Resigning now means backstabber Boehner loses nothing from stopping a shutdown over Planned Parenthood funding. And while it's likely that Majority Leader and close backstabber Boehner ally Kevin McCarthy will step in to the speakership, he will undoubtedly be under pressure to move Right.

Pope Doesn't Say Much About Climate After All
Many observers feared (or hoped) that Pope Francis would pontificate on man-made global warming and the need for government solutions in Thursday's address to Congress. But it wasn't to be. Here's the extent of his remarks on the topic:
This common good also includes the earth, a central theme of the encyclical which I recently wrote in order to enter into dialogue with all people about our common home. We need a conversation which includes everyone, since the environmental challenge we are undergoing, and its human roots, concerns and affects us all. In "Laudato Si," I call for a courageous and responsible effort to redirect our steps and to avert the most serious effects of the environmental deterioration caused by human activity. I am convinced that we can make a difference and I have no doubt that the United States — and this Congress — have an important role to play. Now is the time for courageous actions and strategies, aimed at implementing a culture of care and an integrated approach to combating poverty, restoring dignity to the excluded, and at the same time protecting nature.
At first hearing, there's really not much for conservatives who are conservationists to disagree with there. But there are two key problems: the pope's assertion that climate change is "caused by human activity," and who he addressed his comments to — Congress. The science is far from settled on the cause or reach of climate change (humans do impact the environment, but how much is the question), and most proposals before Congress involve hampering economic activity — i.e., exacerbating and not "combating poverty" — to fight a supposed menace we don't fully understand. -The Patriot Post
EPA Finds Opportunity in Volkswagen Scandal
How long has this policy been sitting in the wings, waiting for the opportune moment? In response of the revelations that Volkswagen cheated on its emission tests, the Environmental Protection Agency announced that it will change the way it tests the emissions of vehicles. The EPA will now test vehicles as they drive the roads, in addition to lab testing. For seven years, Volkswagen installed software in its diesel cars that sensed when a vehicle was hooked up to a test. That changed when the cars hit the road, where the cars started emitting many times the legal emission limits for gasses like nitrogen oxide in the name of fuel economy. And for violating an unconstitutional regulation, Volkswagen will pay — possibly to the tune of $18 billion. "When there is this kind of deception, we've got to get these agencies to be able to cut through it and catch it," said Sen. Bill Nelson (D-FL). In the name of catching companies that decide to cheat the government, the EPA will pry further into the automobile industry, bringing more regulation in the name of clean air. (Because this is evidently a far worse crime than killing people, like Government Motors and Toyota did.) No doubt the EPA will decide to impose more regulation and more control because of climate change, too. A crisis has come, and the EPA is going to take this as a mandate to make the quality of vehicles worse for everybody. -The Patriot Post

Hilly's Email Storage Wasn't Safe For Highly Sensitive Messages
{Matt Vespa} ~ Another chapter has been added to Hilly Clinton’s ongoing email fiasco... the State Department has admitted to investigators that the method in which Clinton’s lawyer could review the emails was not secure enough. Why? They didn’t think highly classified information that was sent through those servers would be, indeed, that sensitive (via Associated Press): Steven Aftergood, a government secrecy expert with the Federation of American Scientists, is quoted in the AP story saying how this whole debacle shows how the “wires were crossed” between State and the national security community–one not foreseeing highly sensitive information being sent through the server, while the other resoundingly declaring those communications top secret. The security of Clinton’s server has fallen somewhat by the wayside. It was earlier reported that Clinton’s vulnerable server was almost certainly hacked by foreign sources. In fact, the Chinese werereading the emails of top U.S. officials since April of 2010, which coincides with Hilly’s use of her private email system..

Trey Gowdy Questions Planned Parenthood’s Macabre Madam

Either that or it’s Darwinian in nature, that only the most adept at evading the truth and hiding their actions survive the process of rising to the top ranks of despicability. In House Oversight Committee hearings into the public funding of the abortion industry leader, Rep Trey Gowdy engaged the passively hostile Richards, attempting to question her and being frustrated by her refusal to answer the questions he had asked and her insistence on directing the conversation into other areas. He asks what percent of their campaign contributions went to Democrat candidates in 2014. She first claims to support Republicans as well as Democrats but backtracks when asked for specific names. She then says she wasn’t speaking of any at the federal level and would be glad to support Republicans if they were anti-life. She turns lighthearted, almost jovial as she’s saying, “We don’t believe women’s health or women’s rights should be a partisan issue and I wish it weren’t.” Gowdy responds with the knockout punch, “And we don’t think eating dinner salads and drinking wine while you’re discussing infanticide, we have a problem with that, too. So I’m sure you can understand why we would be as viscerally opposed to what wesaw on some of the tapes, would you not?”.

Russia launches airstrikes in northern Syria...
{Jennifer Griffin and Lucas Tomlinson} ~ Russian warplanes began bombarding Syrian opposition targets in the war-torn nation's north Wednesday... following a terse meeting at which a Russian general asked Pentagon officials to clear out of Syrian air space and was rebuffed, Fox News has learned. A U.S. official said Russian airstrikes targeted fighters in the vicinity of Homs, located roughly 60 miles east of a Russian naval facility in Tartus, and were carried out by a "couple" of Russian bombers. The strikes hit targets in Homs and Hama, but there is no presence of ISIS in those areas, a senior U.S. defense official said. These planes are hitting areas where Free Syrian Army and other anti-Assad groups are located, the official said. Activists and a rebel commander on the ground said the Russian airstrikes have mostly hit moderate rebel positions and civilians. Previously we cited Andrea Mitchell’s interview on MSNBC. Most recently it was Chuck Todd, whose interview on NBC’s Meet the Press last Sunday exposed how these reporters deliberately avoid discussing topics which run counter to their favored progressive narratives. “And a reminder, and I know there’s always conspiracy theories out there, there are no limitations to this interview,” said Todd. He asked several questions about Hilly’s private email server but few regarding the classified information found on that server, a much more serious issue..

The administration last year eased federal restrictions against terrorist activity for refugees and asylum seekers. Under the old rules, these 1,519 foreign nationals would have been banned from entering the country because they supported terrorist causes. But under the new rules for vetting refugees, the secretary of Homeland Security has “discretionary authority” to waive certain cases of inadmissibility relating to terrorist activity..

{Jeff Dunetz} ~ This past weekend when asked about the Center Center For Medical Progress (CMP) videos showing that Planned Parenthood illegally sold parts of aborted babies... Nancy Pulosi insisted they were doctored even though she had never seen them. Perhaps now she will watch them because a forensic analysis by cybersecurity and forensic analysis company Coalfire Systems reports that the ONLY only edits in the videos consisted of bathroom breaks and time eating meals (perhaps Pulosi has a potty fetish and wants to see those parts?). The ten videos in question show what looks like top Planned Parenthood officials illegally selling specific body parts — including the heart, eyes and “gonads” of unborn babies. The video also shows the Parenthood officials admit that they are breaking federal law by selling aborted baby body parts for profit.

In an important article last July, titled "The Case against Recognition of Palestine," the Director of the British Israel Communications and Research Centre, Professor Alan Johnson, argued that the Australian Labour Party's proposal to recognize the so-called State of Palestine would be a grave error that would harm the ALP itself. Johnson made a reasoned and informed plea for ALP members to reject the motion, reminding the public that Israel has always been open-handed in its offers of peace, unlike the Palestinians, who have consistently refused to accept even the most generous proposals. It is important to note that Johnson, an authoritative writer and speaker, with a longstanding reputation as a political theorist, is a moderate left-winger and British Labour Party member, a former Trotskyite.
