Green Energy Mandates Could Double Your Electric Bills

{dailysignal.com} ~ Business and homeowner utility costs could double in many states if environmental groups succeed in enacting draconian solar and wind power mandates in states across the country... Yet these mandates will have almost no impact in cleaning the air or reducing greenhouse gas emissions. In Arizona and Nevada, voters will decide on Nov. 6 whether to adopt renewable mandates requiring local utilities to buy at least 50 percent of their electric power from green energy—mostly, wind and solar power. At least a dozen other states are set to ramp up their mandatory standards also called “renewable portfolio standards” in 2019. California is set to move to 60 percent legally mandated renewable energy by 2030 and 100 percent by 2045. These mandates come with a steep price to American families and businesses. Trump succeeds in punishing Iran without 

spiking oil prices — for now

{washingtonexaminer.com} ~ After allowing some countries to buy Iranian oil, the Trump administration appears on track to attain the president’s dual policy goals of punishing Tehran... with sanctions while also keeping oil prices in check. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced Friday morning that the administration will dole out exemptions to eight countries allowing them to continue importing oil from Iran even as the U.S. applies sanctions on Tehran beginning Sunday night. The waivers reflect the unease the Trump administration felt at the prospect of higher oil and gas prices during voting season. Yet sanctions experts and oil market practitioners don't expect the waivers to be lenient enough to save Iran's economy, which is highly dependent on oil exports.  “This is not a softening of a zero tolerance policy,” Mark Dubowitz, CEO of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies who studies sanctions policy, told the Washington Examiner. “It’s a carefully calibrated and phased strategy to cripple Iranian oil revenues without driving up the price of oil.”Pompeo said the administration would name the countries to be granted waivers Monday, but they are expected to include China, which buys the most oil from Iran, India — the second largest buyer — South Korea, Japan, Turkey, and others. Waivers last 180 days under U.S. law. The sanctions these countries are exempted from are intended to punish nations that buy oil from Iran, after President Trump rejected the nuclear deal with Tehran in May, by cutting them off from the U.S. financial system... Why then did gas go up two weeks ago.

Mexico: Nearly 3,000 migrants have abandoned 

caravan, won't go on to US

{washingtonexaminer.com} ~ Nearly 3,000 migrants who had been a part of caravans moving from Central America to the United States' southern border have abandoned the group... to either stay in Mexico or return to their home countries in Central America, according to Mexican government officials. Mexico's Interior and Foreign Ministries reported, as of Thursday, 2,934 people originally traveling to the U.S. have stopped and applied for asylum in Mexico. Of those, 927 have canceled their asylum claim with the Mexican government and returned to Guatemala and Honduras, where the caravans originated, according to a government news release.The two Mexican departments said federal police and immigration officers are helping transport those who chose to return home. For the estimated 2,000 people who remain in Mexico as they wait over the next 45 to 90 days to learn if their asylum requests have been granted, 1,553 have been put up in shelters in the southern state of Chiapas. {wnd.com} ~ Ten left-wing Vermonters have objectified themselves in a nude photo shoot to encourage women to vote dummycrats-Democrat... “after the Kavanaugh confirmation, the #MeToo movement and Trump.”The Vermont news website Seven Days reported event organizer Dawn Robertson explained the goal was to “inspire” women through their “Grab Them by the Ballot” photo shoot.  Apparently, they have. “As a female, I will be voting, fully clothed, straight ticket Republican,” wrote Joan Martin on Twitter. A Twitter user responded: “This is just weird. And funny. Inspirational? No so much. If I were in the fence I’d be voting against the ladies getting naked for dummycrats-Democrats. Second Caravan Reaches Mexico — And They’re Armed

{lidblog.com} ~ The second caravan of migrants has broken through to Mexico, having crossed a river from Guatemala, and authorities report... that some of them are armed with explosives and other weapons. The Associated Press reports that the mob has been much more unruly than the first with some allegedly carrying weapons and firebombs made from improvised soft-drink bottles and gasoline. The group has seemingly upgraded their arsenal, having used rocks and sticks against Mexican police over the weekend.  Mexico authorities said migrants attacked its agents with rocks, glass bottles and fireworks when they broke through a gate on the Mexican end but were pushed back, and some allegedly carried guns and firebombs. Mexican Interior Secretary Alfonso Navarrete Prida described the latest caravan’s actions as a second “violent attempt” to storm the border. Worse, Prida accused the migrants of placing vulnerable individuals – children, the elderly, and pregnant women – at the front of any confrontation with authorities, leaving them more at risk of being crushed. Some of these people, it would seem, are “bad hombres.”... Now why isn't the liberal media not reporting this.

Blackburn's Best Opposition Ad Yet

by Mark Alexander:  One U.S. Senate race receiving a lot of national attention is that of Rep. Marsha Blackburn, who is seeking the seat being vacated by Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN). That is because, according to the Leftmedia pollaganda machine, she has been trailing her opponent, the aging and infirm former Tennessee Gov. Phil Bredesen, in a state Donald Trump carried by 25 points.

             Though Bredesen was originally considered a sacrificial lamb, a placeholder but not competitive, that shifted earlier this year for several reasons.
               First would be that the dummycrats-Democrats’ national strategy is “HATE TRUMP,” and Bredesen has received enormous support from out-of-state leftists, including $3.5 million in ad support from dummycrats-Demo Sen. Chuck scumbag/clown-Schumer (D-NY), and big-dollar support from New York leftist Michael Bloomberg. Second, opposition from some wealthy establishment Republican elitists who don’t like Blackburn’s alignment with Trump (or more likely have problems with strong women) has helped turn Bredesen into a viable competitor. Last, even retiring Sen. Corker, who last year got into a distasteful spat with Trump, has offered tepid support for Blackburn, saying only that he will vote for her and has maxed out his donations to her campaign.
               As with many dummycrats-Demo campaigns across the country, Bredesen’s team has endeavored to paint him as a “moderate,” but that is a fallacious deception.
               To drive home that point, Marsha’s team developed what should serve as a model opposition ad for every Republican facing a “moderate” dummycrats-Democrat — pulling clips from Bredesen’s phony claims of bipartisanship and comparing those with identical fake claims by Barack scumbag/liar-nObama and scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton.
