Trump grants clemency to 2 Army officers
accused of war crimes, restores rank to
Navy SEAL Eddie Gallagher
By Melissa Leon and Lucas Tomlinson
{ foxnews.com } ~ President Trump has granted clemency to two Army officers accused or convicted of war crimes... and restored Navy SEAL Eddie Gallagher to the rank of chief petty officer after he was docked a pay grade after being convicted of posing for a photo with a dead Islamic State ISIS fighter, the White House announced Friday. Army 1st Lt. Clint Lorance could be released from the military prison at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, as soon as Friday evening, six years after being found guilty of second-degree murder. Maj. Matt Golsteyn, a former Green Beret, will have the murder charge against him dropped. "Today, President Donald J. Trump signed an Executive Grant of Clemency Full Pardon for Army First Lieutenant Clint Lorance, an Executive Grant of Clemency Full Pardon for Army Major Mathew Golsteyn, and an order directing the promotion of Special Warfare Operator First Class Edward R. Gallagher to the grade of E-7, the rank he held before he was tried and found not guilty of nearly all of the charges against him," the White House said in a statement Friday night. Lorance was six years into serving a 19-year sentence at Fort Leavenworth for ordering his soldiers to open fire and kill three men in Afghanistan. Lorence’s supporters say he killed Taliban fighters. Nine members of his unit testified against him, saying the men were innocent. Gallagher, a 15-year SEAL whose case garnered national attention, was found not guilty of murdering an ISIS fighter in Iraq in 2017 but was convicted in July of a lesser charge of posing for a photo with the dead ISIS prisoner's corpse. His punishment included a reduction in rank from chief petty officer to 1st class petty officer, which would have cost him about $200,000 in retirement funds. His family and defense team were fighting to have his rank restored. "There are no words to adequately express how grateful my family and I are to our president, Donald J. Trump, for his intervention and decision," Eddie Gallagher said in a public statement Friday night. "We would also like to thank the American people for their unwavering support during this very difficult time for my family and I -- we can never thank you enough." "I truly believe that we are blessed as a nation to have a commander in chief that stands up for our war fighters, and cares about how they and their families are treated," he said...

Dan’s Powerful Interview with President Trump
by bongino.com ~ President Trump joined Dan today as part of his new interview series where the two discussed a variety of hot topics including the Ukraine “whistleblower,” the Russia hoax... the economy, the future of the Supreme Court, health care and the black vote in 2020. President Trump also took the time to blast the sham impeachment hearings as a “disgrace to our country.” “In the meantime they’re not doing any work,” said Trump. “We have one of the greatest trade deals ever made and everybody wants it including the Democrats and liar-Nancy Pelosi, it sits on her desk for months…our farmers need it our manufacturers need it, the auto companies need it and she doesn’t do a thing with it.” President Trump also put to rest the liberal conspiracy theory of an alternative “secret transcript” floating around. “It’s very accurately transcribed, I mean, that’s exactly what I remember of the call,” he said. Of the so-called “whistleblower,” President Trump said “everyone in Washington knows who it is….the fake news doesn’t want to print it.” If the situation had been reversed, however, and the “whistleblower” was complaining about a Democrat president, Trump says he believes the media would have released the name by now. When it came to Congressman szcumbag/liar-Adam Schiff, President Trump didn’t hold back. “He made up a conversation and read that into the record. That was one of the most disgusting things I’ve ever seen in politics and if he didn’t have immunity he’d be in jail for what he did,” referring to scumbag/liar-Schiff’s “parody” version of President Trump’s phone call with Zelensky. “I think he’s a nut job and he’s very corrupt,” Trump offered of scumbag/liar-Schiff. President Trump lamented the lack of aid for Ukraine from European countries like Germany, France and the United Kingdom. “Why aren’t they giving? Why is it always the United States that’s giving? It’s certainly much more important to them because they’re essentially a wall between them and Russia…they should be helping much more…” The president had much to celebrate in his interview, including the fact that he is sticking to his campaign promise and draining the swamp. “We’re draining the swamp one by one,” he said. “You look at scumbag-Comey, he’s gone, you look at McCabe…Strzok and his lover, Page and scumbag/commie-Brennan…” When asked about scumbag/liar-nObamacare and whether or not he will further tackle the disastrous legislation upon reelection in 2020, President Trump said he hopes to make health care more affordable if Republicans take back the House of Representatives. “By getting rid of the individual mandate..it was the worst provision in scumbag/liar-nObamacare and it was totally unconstitutional,” said the President. “What we’re going to do is if we get the House back we are going to have a much better version of scumbag/liar-nObamacare that’s much less expensive.”... =

Today’s Top “Impeachment” Hoax News Stories
By Pamela Geller
{ gellerreport.com } ~ Here’s what you need to know about the party of treason’s coup to unseat our President... “Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko said on Thursday that the United States Ambassador Gordon Sondland did not link financial military assistance to a request for Ukraine to open up an investigation into former vice president and current Democratic presidential candidate loose lips liar-Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden,” Ryan Saavedra reports... “Clever: By having witnesses go through closed-door hearings first, Dems can get a sense of what witnesses have to say privately and then tailor their questions for maximum impact during the public spectacle,” the New York Post editorial board writes. “Trouble is, even rehearsals don’t seem to help . . . No matter how many auditions they hold, it’s no substitute for hard evidence.”... “There must be some confusion. Under the U.S. Constitution, it is the president of the United States who determines foreign policy. How can President Trump be ‘at odds with foreign policy’ when he’s the one who determines it?” Sharyl Attkisson writes. “Trump’s enemies may cheer on the idea of diplomats and other officials choosing to oppose or undermine his wishes. But based on our Constitution, the dissenting diplomats are the ones who are at odds with “official foreign policy”— not the other way around.”... “For those who find the hearings far from riveting but watch out of obligation or amusement, here’s a modest suggestion to pass the hours productively: Count the important things your representatives could and should be doing otherwise,” Michael Goodwin writes. Fix immigration, pass USMCA, rebuild infrastructure—take your pick.

Jeremy Corbyn Poses a Potent
Threat to Western Security
by Con Coughlin
{ gatestoneinstitute.org } ~ With the British general election now well underway, Britain's allies need to give serious consideration about how they would deal with Jeremy Corbyn... the Labour party's hard left candidate, in the event of him becoming prime minister. The prospect of Mr Corbyn entering Downing Street is of particular concern for the US given the current level of close cooperation that currently exists between Washington and London, especially regarding national security issues. As one highly influential American security source told me earlier this week, "A Corbyn government would not just be a disaster for Britain. It would be a disaster for the US and other Western allies who work closely with London on a whole range of global security issues." One of the pillars of the so-called "special relationship" between London and Washington, for example, are the close ties they share on military and intelligence cooperation. Britain's nuclear deterrent relies heavily on American technology to enable the Royal Navy's fleet of specially-adapted submarines to fire Trident missiles armed with nuclear warheads. It is a similar picture on the intelligence-sharing front, where the close level of cooperation between the American and British intelligence services forms the bedrock of the elite Five Eyes intelligence network, with Canada, Australia and New Zealand being the other members of an alliance that was originally established during the Second World War. Consequently, serious questions are now being asked in Washington and other key Western capitals about the likely implications of a Corbyn victory in next month's general election and whether, with the Labour leader resident in Downing Street, they will be able to maintain the same level of military and intelligence-sharing cooperation. By far the most likely casualty of a Corbyn government would be the Five Eyes intelligence-sharing network, where there is a strong likelihood that other member states of the alliance will be deeply reluctant to share highly sensitive material with a British prime minister who has spent his entire political career openly associating with regimes and groups that are utterly hostile to the West and its allies...

New impeachment czar will glue
together unwieldy White House strategy
by David M. Drucker & Steven Nelson
{ washingtonexaminer.com } ~ Newly appointed White House aide Tony Sayegh will try to bring cohesion to a disorderly White House impeachment response amid internal backbiting... polls that have shown growing support for impeaching President Trump, and frustration on Capitol Hill that Republicans are not receiving clear marching orders. The Washington Examiner has learned that Sayegh, a former Treasury official, will work with the White House communications team, White House counsel Pat Cipollone and his staff, and other administration offices to develop and streamline a strategy to dispute allegations and make sure Republicans are on the same page. “I’m always the kind of guy who likes a strategy and a plan and a coordinated effort,” said Sen. Ron Johnson, a Wisconsin Republican aligned with the president. Former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi was brought in to partner with Sayegh and will be the media face of the anti-impeachment campaign, with plans to leverage her legal background to discredit allegations by House Democrats that the president abused his power in his dealings with Ukraine. “Expect to see Pam on TV a lot,” an administration official familiar with the arrangement told the Washington Examiner on Wednesday. “Tony will be managing a lot of the strategy.” Trump is still eschewing a war room, White House officials insist, instead tapping two field marshals, Sayegh and Bondi, to gel an effort that has been bogged down in an internecine struggle and blame game between acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney and Cipollone. “Pam and Tony are coming in to help the administration play offense,” the administration official familiar with the arrangement said. Cipollone is said to have favored Sayegh's addition. But sources say that there is no friction between Sayegh and Mulvaney...

Trump Admin To Seize Private Land
For Border Wall Construction
by JASON HOPKINS
{ dailycaller.com } ~ The Trump administration is reportedly preparing to submit court filings to take over private land on the U.S.-Mexico border... allowing border wall construction to move forward. White House senior adviser Jared Kushner met with administration and military officials Friday. He discussed government takeover of private land along the Texas border, according to a report by NBC. Lt. Gen. Todd Semonite, the commanding general of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, was reportedly in attendance, along with Robert Salesses and Kenneth Rapuano, both of whom serve as assistant secretaries for homeland defense. Lawyers for the Department of Defense and the Justice Department have prepared rights of entry letters, which will inform affected land owners that the U.S. government will be entering their property to asses the area, which will include soil testing and land surveys. In most domain cases, the government settles on a specific amount of money before it takes over land, but the administration has not yet confirmed how much it will compensate landowners, according to sources who spoke with NBC. However, the White House could file under the Declaration of Taking Act, a move that would likely hasten the time it takes for the government to buy border land. A group of Texas landowners who oppose border wall construction are fighting the Trump administration in court over the issue. “They are probably going to get the land in the end, but they are asking the court to dispense with the process that is typically afforded to landowners,” said Ricky Garza, a lawyer with the Texas Civil Rights Project. “We want to make sure that all of our clients are treated with basic human decency and with respect that’s been sorely lacking in the past by this administration.” The Texas Civil Rights Project represents five Texas property owners whose land is in the pathway of the planned border wall. Unlike the other southwest states, most of the land along the Texas-Mexico border are privately owned, according to Garza, making wall construction more difficult. The attorney added that there are hundreds of landowners who own property along the path of the planned border wall. The administration is expected to submit its court filing in the coming days, marking the latest development in President Donald Trump’s bid to build wall a massive wall between the U.S. and Mexico. Immigration officials are aiming to build well over 400 miles of new wall by the end of Trump’s first term...
