{jihadwatch.org} ~ Federal agents have arrested a terror suspect in Sacramento, along with two others in Houston and Milwaukee in a case involving allegations that U.S. residents were in contact with and trying to provide assistance to Islamic State supporters, sources say... No announcements were made regarding the arrests, but an unusual closed hearing was conducted Thursday afternoon in federal court in Sacramento with U.S. Magistrate Judge Edmund F. Brennan presiding behind closed doors. No information regarding the hearing was posted on the court calendar or filed in publicly available court documents, and Sacramento FBI spokeswoman Gina Swankie said she could not discuss the matter. “I can neither confirm nor deny any of the information in your email,” Swankie said in response to a request from The Sacramento Bee.

Windfall as Nuclear Deal Begins

{freebeacon.com} ~ Iran’s economy is set to receive a substantial boost in the next two years as a result of billions in sanctions relief from the nuclear deal, according to a new forecast, a windfall that could also secure more resources for the Iranian military and its terrorist proxies... The World Bank said in a report that Iran’s GDP is projected to increase by 5.8 percent this year, compared to just 1.9 percent last year. Economic growth is then estimated to rise by 6.7 percent in 2017. As part of the nuclear agreement reached between Iran and world powers last year, the Islamic regime could collect as much as $150 billion in unfrozen assets from foreign accounts after it places some restrictions on its nuclear program. In a recent interview with The Conway Daily Sun of New Hampshire, journalist Tom McLaughlin asked Hilly Clinton who, from among the attendees at the Andrews Air Force Base “transfer of remains ceremony,” was lying. He was referring to the family members of the four Americans killed during the terrorist attacks in Benghazi on September 11 and 12, 2012. Mrs. Clinton responded, “Not me, that’s all I can tell you.” “Not, ‘no one is lying,’” criticized Megyn Kelley of Fox News in a segment with members of the CIA’s Global Response Staff, the quick-reaction force whose story is the basis of the book that inspired this month’s forthcoming film, 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi. “Not, ‘let’s not impugn anyone’s motives here,’” added Kelly. “Not, ‘I reject the premise of your question.’” Given that she has lied about virtually every aspect of Benghazi and her private email server, reporters ought to approach Mrs. Clinton’s claims with skepticism. Instead, The Washington Post continues to avoid calling Hilly Clinton on her lies even within its own Fact-Checker columns.

Since 1979, Iran has executed tens of thousands of political dissidents, most infamously its state-sponsored execution of at least 5,000 political prisoners across Iran in the summer of 1988. Decades later the Iranian Islamic regime still makes a public spectacle of hanging political prisoners in city squares, using cranes to magnify the image of men writhing as they die a slow death by strangulation.

That doesn't mean she's guaranteed to be charged or even convicted... since you still have to allow for the corruption and politicization of the justice system, unfortunately. But no serious person can argue she is not guilty of a felony after the e-mail the State Department released (with great reluctance, I'm sure) late last night. In it, she is talking with her then-deputy chief of staff Jake Sullivan, who is supposed to be getting her some talking points about something, and she's growing impatient waiting for them. Sullivan explains that whoever has the talking points are trying to send them via secure fax - a sure tip-off that they contain classified information, as that's the only reason you would need to send them that way - and that they're having trouble with this and are working on the problem. The long and short of it is this: By ordering the markings removed on material she knew was classified, for the purpose of having it sent over a non-secure server, Hilly violated "18 U.S. Code § 793 - Gathering, transmitting or losing defense information." How big a deal is that? It's a 10-years-in-prison big deal.

Report: Lost U.S. missile winds up in Cuba

{washingtonexaminer.com} ~ A U.S. Hellfire missile that was meant to sent to a military exercise in Europe was wrongly shipped from the continent to Cuba in 2014... before U.S.-Cuba relations were normalized in 2015, according to a report. It's a strange case that's confounded many observers. "Did someone take a bribe to send it somewhere else? Was it an intelligence operation, or just a series of mistakes? That's what we've been trying to figure out," one U.S. official told the Wall Street Journal. The missile was sent from Orlando, Fla., in early 2014 to be used in a NATO military exercise. Through a series of flight confusions and possible mishaps, it was last confirmed scene in Rota, Spain, before appearing in Havana, Cuba.

In a thread from June 2011, Hilly exchanges e-mails with Jake Sullivan, then her deputy chief of staff and now her campaign foreign-policy adviser, in which she impatiently waits for a set of talking points. When Sullivan tells her that the source is having trouble with the secure fax, Hilly then orders Sullivan to have the data stripped of its markings and sent through a non-secure channel. That should be game, set, and match, yes?

{shark-tank.com} ~ The nObama administration has been quick to promote that they have deported the most illegal immigrants than any other administration before them... Many media outlets, including the Shark Tank have reported this as news, but now we are scrutinizing nObama’s claims of being the “Deporter-In-Chief” as Republican congressional candidate Brian Mast stated in an open forum that nObama had “lied” about the amount of illegal immigrant deportations, by redefining deportation, and was counting those illegals that were merely turned back at the border, as deportations. We decided to look into Mast’s claim that nObama was counting “catch and release” illegal immigrant numbers to hike up his total deportation tally, and found that there was merit to his accusations. Kissinger said. "And this is an organization that has engaged in mass murder on television in the killing of prisoners. So I do not think that the Islamic State as it exists is a group with which we can negotiate." I don't see any possibility of meaningful negotiation with the Islamic State. I think the Islamic State in its present form has a caliphate to dominate the region and indeed any area where Muslims are living that's incompatible with the international order as we see it. Dems, frustrated with Obama on Iran,

{jewishworldreview.com} ~ Democrats in Congress are losing patience with the nObama administration for failing to respond quickly enough to Iran's test of a ballistic missile.

So frustrated, in fact, that some lawmakers are introducing legislation to ensure the next time Iran violates U.S. or international sanctions in any way, they don't have to wait on nObama to act.

Rep. Joe Kennedy, D-Massachusetts, is preparing to introduce a bill, along with Rep. Theodore E. Deutch, D-Florida, and a bipartisan group of co-sponsors, to expedite the procedure for imposing additional sanctions on Iran linked to terrorism, human rights violations, or ballistic missile activities.

"No response is in effect, a response. . . if responses are nonexistent, ineffective or delayed, those are also responses," Kennedy said in an interview. "When it comes to the enforcement mechanisms, Congress should be acting with the administration. . .there needs to be a mechanism to allow for stronger and more rapid response going forward."

Kennedy, who supported the Iran nuclear deal, and Deutch who didn't, were two of the first Democrats to call on the administration to respond last month to reports that Iran conducted a second ballistic missile test in potential violation of the U.N. Security Council.

Lawmakers are concerned the failure of the White House to rapidly punish Iran over its missile test heralds what some worry will be a lax policy toward implementing the controversial nuclear agreement with the Islamic Republic. The deal is expected to be implemented in January, meaning that certain other measures - such as the U.N. resolution currently governing ballistic missile tests - will no longer be in effect.

Since the test, Democrats in both chambers are clamoring for a stronger U.S. response. On Wednesday, a group of leading House Democrats sent a letter to nObama urging the administration to hurry up and announce punitive measures against Iran.

"The United States and our allies must take immediate, punitive action and send a clear message to Iran that violating international laws, treaties and agreement will have serious consequences," read the letter, which was signed by Rep. Nita M. Lowey (New York), ranking Democrat on the House Appropriations Committee; Rep. Eliot L. Engel (New York), ranking Democrat on the Foreign Affairs Committee; Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (Florida), who chairs the Democratic National Committee; and others.

"We understand the Administration is preparing sanctions against individuals and entities involved in Iran's ballistic missile program, and we urge you to announce such sanctions without further delay."

That appeal follows House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer's (D-Maryland) saying he was "disappointed that the Administration has delayed punitive action in response to Iran's recent ballistic missile tests," and 21 Democratic senators signing a letter to nObama last month warning that "if there are no consequences for this violation, Iran's leaders will certainly also question the willingness of the international community to respond to violations of the" nuclear deal.

Iran has been defiant in its response to the international outcry over the missile tests. Last week, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani ordered his country to speed up production of defensive missiles. Iran "will not accept any restrictions in this regard," he tweeted.

Kennedy and Deutch's measure would give leaders of either party 60 days to introduce legislation after the president notifies Congress of a "qualifying event" - defined as an act of terrorism, support for terrorism, or something that violates applicable U.N. Security Council resolutions before and after the implementation of the Iran deal. Relevant committees would then have 10 days to report out that bill, or it could go straight to the floor of the House or Senate for a vote.

"With nuclear sanctions relief there will be a very large amount of money available for the support of terrorism," Deutch said. "Given all of that, we want to have something in place to permit us to move forward quickly in the event they decide to shift the benefits of the nuclear deal to violate existing U.S. and international sanctions."

Kennedy called the legislation an effort to "signal" to Iran that "the way they can avoid any additional sanctions going forward is don't violate a UN security council resolution."

There is also a Senate proposal that would set up an expedited procedure for considering sanctions in light of any future terrorism-related infractions.

But some lawmakers may be looking for other solutions as well.

The administration has clearly stated the implementation of the Iran deal does not prevent the United States from enforcing sanctions and punitive measures against Iran for "malign activities" related to terrorism and human rights violations. And thus far, none of the Democrats calling on nObama to act urgently on the missile tests has pushed specific sanctions.

"I expect that whatever the holdup is will be resolved very quickly and we will see sanctions imposed for the violations of the Security Council resolution," Deutch said.

Leading Democrats on the House Foreign Affairs committee also want to ensure that any congressional response is bipartisan.

At a markup Thursday morning, Democrats voiced their disapproval of a bill to subject to further scrutiny the organizations and individuals upon whom sanctions will be lifted under the Iran deal. It's a measure that Chairman Ed Royce, R-California, insisted was necessary in light of Iran's recent ballistic missile tests.

"The question here is one of pushback, given the violation of the U,N. sanctions," Royce said. "There was an intention, Congress had been notified - and then a decision was made after pushback from Iran not to go forward. . . . It was not supposed to be this way."

Engel complained that Democrats had not been consulted and warned the measure would go nowhere.

"We want to hold Iran's feet to the fire, we want to make sure they are sanctions again for other things, nuclear capabilities, their support of terrorism," Engel said.

While he was "disappointed" that the administration "mentioned that it was going to impose some sanctions on Iran and then seemed to pull it back," Engel explained, "the only way we can effectively do that impose sanctions is in a bipartisan way."
