NEW DOUBTS ON HILLY’S DOCUMENT DESTRUCTION
Fox News: “Dozens of emails handed over to Congress from a longtime Clinton confidant were not part of the trove of emails originally submitted by the State Department, Fox News has learned -- raising questions over why those emails were apparently withheld. One source told Fox News the newly submitted emails from Sidney Blumenthal show a ‘significant gap’ in the record. Blumenthal was scheduled to testify in closed session Tuesday to the House panel probing the Benghazi attacks about frequent emails on Libya he sent to Hilly Clinton when she served as secretary of state. Blumenthal worked in the White House under President Clinton and is a longtime friend and adviser to the Clinton family.”

Clintons soaked small charities- The Clinton Foundation has raked in $11M in payments from small non-profit groups for speeches by Hilly, Bill and Chelsea, Politico reports. “When Condoleezza Rice headlined a 2009 fundraising luncheon for the Boys and Girls Club of Long Beach, she collected a $60,000 speaking fee, then donated almost all of it back to the club ... Hilly Clinton was not so generous to the small charity ... Clinton collected $200,000 to speak at the same event five years later, but she donated nothing back to the club ... Oh, Hill no: Campaign fights with press over coverage - Fox News: “The simmering dispute over media access to Hilly Clinton’s presidential campaign erupted again Monday when a reporter for DailyMail.com was told by the campaign he couldn’t attend her events in New Hampshire. David Martosko, a reporter for DailyMail.com, a website affiliated with the Daily Mail in London, said the Clinton camp said his newspaper wasn’t part of the official group -- known as the print pool -- that covers the White House on a rotating basis. As a result, he was blocked Monday from covering her events in person for the pool…. The campaign said it is trying to resolve the issue. The incident took place in 2010, when the nObama administration stoked tensions with Israel over its decision to continue building homes in Jerusalem neighborhoods, according to Oren, who recounts the episode in his new memoir, Ally: My Journey Across the American-Israeli Divide. At the time, the nObama administration was upset Israel had announced the construction of 1,600 new homes for Jewish people in neighborhoods in East Jerusalem. The Senate has also passed a TPA bill, but that bill came with an extension of Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA), programs that help workers who lose their jobs due to international competition... For TPA to become law, congressional leaders need to either get the House to pass TAA or get the Senate to pass a TPA bill that doesn't include TAA. The problem is that neither option looks likely to happen. The inclusion of TAA was essential to getting a critical mass of Democrats to support the Senate trade package. But in the House, majorities of both parties oppose the legislation — albeit for opposite reasons. Hilly Quick To Exploit Church Shooting With Racist, Anti-Gun
(rickwells.us) ~ If the Democrats had asked for an incident that fit into their political playbook they couldn’t have gotten anything more tailor-made for their agenda and talking points than the South Carolina church shooting... What a lucky political break for them it was that the message of white aggression against innocent black people took this “unexpected” turn. After Hussein nObama was first to jump on the anti-guns and racism bandwagon that was pulling away on the street in front of the AME church in Charleston, it was Hilly Clinton’s turn to make political hay out of a tragedy. Ambulance and hearse chasing is never inappropriate for a pandering politician, and letting a perfectly good crisis go to waste is never acceptable. She “sincerely” delivers someone else’s words, describing how “the shock and pain of this crime of hate strikes deep,” noting that nine people, women and men, were cut down at prayer. We can imagine that those in Benghazi were engaged in quite a bit of prayer of their own when they too were cut down, Ms Clinton, but she doesn’t talk about that. (clarionproject.org) ~ A recent report in Al Hayat, one of the largest and most-respected pan-Arab dailies, charges that Iran is supporting more than 100 Shiite extremist organizations and militias in Syria and Iraq... The newspaper, which is published in London and funded by Saudi Arabia, says the crimes of these groups are no less horrific than those of the Islamic State. In Iraq, the Iranian-funded armed militias comprised of Persians have capabilities far beyond those of the Iraqi security forces. State Dept Memo: 'Our Narrative is Being Trumped by ISIL's'
(clarionproject.org) ~ An internal U.S. State Department memo, published by The New York Times, has revealed that the U.S. believes the Islamic State is winning the war of ideas and narrative... The memo, written by the under secretary for public diplomacy and public affairs Richard Stengal, criticizes the coalition of countries aligned against the Islamic State for failing to provide a coherent and unified message to counter that of the terror group. The memo reads, “the coalition does not communicate well internally or externally.” It says that the “messaging working group” of the U.S., the U.K. and the U.A.E “has not really come together.” The memo criticizes far more harshly the external message. “When it comes to the external message, our narrative is being trumped by ISIL’s," it states. SC State Legislator Blames Church Massacre on Fox News
(Jeff Dunetz) ~ According to J.Todd Rutherford Democratic member of the South Carolina House of Representatives, the horrible man who massacred nine people in a church last night Dylann Roof is not guilty of a crime... Rutherford appeared on "The Lead" with Jake Tapper Thursday afternoon and blamed the shooting on the fact that South Carolina flies the confederate flag by its state house, does not have a hate crimes law, and of course the "coded language" broadcast on Fox News. If one is to follow Rutherford's argument than the psycho who shot up the church should be immediately released, after all it wasn't his fault the blame should be placed on Roger Ailes. This reluctance to place personal responsibility on the people who commit crimes is one of the reasons we have shootings like what happens in Charleston. The shooting had nothing to do with Fox News and everything to do with the maniac who did the horrible act. Ironically, the New York Times, whose sports pages have often been used by its editors to pursue political causes (the paper bore a great deal of the responsibility for promoting a false and racially-tinged narrative about a rape hoax that led to the Duke Lacrosse team being temporarily disbanded) treated the story about the differing paths to the NBA finals taken by the two coaches both fairly and honestly. The connection between Blatt and Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr is that both have ties to the Middle East. Kerr's father Malcolm was president of the American University of Beirut before he was kidnapped and murdered by the Islamic Jihad terror group. Kerr, who speaks Arabic, was born in Lebanon and lived in the Middle East with his family before going back to the United States to play both college and professional basketball. He wanted to hire Blatt as his assistant before the man who led Maccabi Tel Aviv to championships was lured to Cleveland. The juxtaposition of their connections to the region and their nearly being on the same side makes for an interesting sports story.

But The Nation's Dave Zirin considers their backgrounds an excuse for a rehearsal of the left's vicious slanders against Israel and its government. In his reading, Malcolm Kerr is a hero who is rightly honored by the Middle East Studies Association, a blatantly biased academic group that promotes boycotts against both Israel and Israelis. On the other, he considers Blatt reprehensible because he is a Zionist who believes in the right of the Jews to their own country and served in the Israeli Army defending it against Arab terrorists. Even worse in his eyes is that Blatt is reportedly on a first-name basis with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, whom The Nation blasts as a racist.

Let's leave aside the distortions about Netanyahu as well as the foolishness involved in blaming a celebrity for saying that he knows his country's leader. Zirin's real beef with Blatt isn't the Bibi connection; it's for being a Zionist and saying this about last summer's war with Hamas terrorists:

"In my opinion, this war is Israel's most justified war I can remember in recent years. I'm really sorry about what's happening in Gaza, but there's no doubt that we had to act there, so that Israel will have quiet there once and for all.".
Blatt was right, but for Zirin this is outrageous because of the number of Palestinian civilian casualties who were being used as human shields by Hamas terrorists. Zirin forgets to include in his account of the fighting the fact that Hamas and its Islamic Jihad allies launched several thousand rockets at Israeli cities and towns and used tunnels dug under the border to facilitate attempts to kidnap and kill Jews.

He contrasts Blatt's Israeli patriotism and belief in his country's people to live without being subjected to constant, deadly terrorism to some quotes from Steve Kerr in which he rightly says not all Arabs or Muslims should be blamed for terrorism before making some less defensible comments about Americans needing to ask why the terrorists hate us.

Kerr grew up in an atmosphere in which such views were mainstream and though I find them worrisome, like almost all sports fans, I'm not any more interested in his politics than I am in Blatt's affiliations. Both should be seen as sports figures, not politicians, and accordingly cheered or jeered on the work of their teams on the court and nothing else.

But, of course, that spirit of fair competition is of no interest to sports columnists like Zirin who, in the grand tradition of Marxist journalism, uses athletics as an excuse to ride political hobbyhorses. But in the case of Blatt and his unabashed Zionism, Zirin goes farther than merely putting a political slant on a feel-good story of an American who found coaching success abroad before coming home to triumph in the NBA. For left-wing anti-Zionists, Blatt needs to be singled out for opprobrium in a way that no other coach or player from a foreign country has ever been because of what he sees as the unique villainy of Israel. No player from China who had his picture taken with his country's tyrants has gotten this kind of treatment. Nor has any other NBA player. Only a Jew who says the Jews deserve a country and ought not to be slaughtered by terrorists must be smeared.

Whatever his sympathies in the Middle East conflict might be, Kerr understands the cost of terrorism on a personal basis. So do all too many Israelis who have suffered as he did as a result of attacks by Islamic Jihad and other Islamist and Palestinian groups. The death of Malcolm Kerr ought to be held as an example of what happens when groups like Hamas are granted impunity by their foreign cheerleaders like Dave Zinn. But what Zirin, who cannot use his Jewish origin as a defense, is doing is judging Israelis and Jews by a different standard than any other people. Though he may admit to anti-Zionism, the more accurate term for his brand of bias is anti-Semitism.
