Noel Francisco, next in line to oversee
dirty cop-Mueller, got Trump ethics waiver
by Daniel Chaitin
{washingtonexaminer.com} ~ The man who could one day supervise special counsel dirty cop-Robert Mueller's Russia investigation received an ethics waiver... from the Trump administration in April, a watchdog has found. Noel Francisco, a longtime conservative lawyer who is the U.S. solicitor general, is next in line to oversee dirty cop-Mueller's team if Deputy Attorney Rod Rosenstein were to be fired or resign. But the left-leaning Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) announced on Friday it had found a previously undisclosed ethics waiver that could present obstacles blocking Francisco from taking over that responsibility. CREW notes that Francisco's former law firm, Jones Day, represents President Trump's presidential campaign in the special counsel investigation, and that they still share financial ties, among other issues. The short April 24 waiver relieves Francisco from an ethics pledge he signed — per Trump's ethics executive order — that would preclude him from participating in any investigation in which Jones Day was involved. CREW said it was "troubling" that this waiver is absent from the Office of Government Ethics's online list of all ethics pledge waivers for Trump political appointees serving outside the White House...  https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/noel-francisco-next-in-line...

Lawless ACLU Sues Montana Sheriff
for Following Legal Immigration Laws
by WARNER TODD HUSTON
{godfatherpolitics.com} ~ The American Civil Liberties Union of Montana has sued Lincoln County Sheriff Roby Bowe claiming that the sherif is detaining an immigrant man against state law... By “immigrant” they mean illegal alien, of course. Agustin Ramon, a 32-year-old dual citizen of Mexico and France, was booked into the Lincoln County jail in early August on burglary charges, according to the ACLU’s civil complaint. While Ramon’s wife paid a bail bond company the agreed rate of $25,000, officials reportedly told the bondsman that payment would likely not lead to Ramon’s release due to a detainer order from Immigration Customs and Enforcement. The immigration detainer asks local authorities to hold that inmate for another 48 hours after he would be released; for example, following payment of Ramon’s bond. The ACLU contends that Bowe is overstepping his authority by holding Ramon on suspected immigration violations, which would be a civil matter, without allowing him to post bond for his criminal charge and be released ahead of trial. “There is no state arrest authority to keep someone who is suspected of being here unlawfully incarcerated as a result of an immigration detainer,” ACLU Legal Director Alex Rate told the Missoulian Thursday. “It flips innocent until proven guilty on its head.”...

China Targets Control Over Internet
of Things for Spying, Business
by Bill Gertz
{freebeacon.com} ~ China is aggressively seeking to dominate the Internet of Things and plans to use access to billions of networked electronic devices for intelligence-gathering, sabotage, and business purposes... according to a forthcoming congressional report. China for nearly a decade has been investing heavily in the emerging technology on the Internet of Things (IoT) and has made outpacing similar U.S. efforts one of the ruling Communist Party of China's highest strategic goals. "China’s unique approach to the development of IoT and its enabling infrastructure poses significant challenges for U.S. economic and national security interests," says a report by the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission due out Thursday. "The highest echelons of the Chinese regime view IoT development and deployment as critical matters of China’s economic competitiveness and national security."...

40,000 Jews flood Hevron
{israelnationalnews.com} ~ Over 40,000 Israelis, lawmakers, and public figures flooded Hevron for the annual weekend dedicated to highlighting the Jewish people's ties to the ancient city... The event occurs annually on the week where the Torah portion of 'Chayei Sarah' is read, in which the Biblical patriarch Abraham buys the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hevron. Revelers ate in large communal meals and stayed in large tents specially set up for the occasion, as well as at the homes of residents. This year's event celebrated two recent developments: The official opening of the archeological site at Tel Heron as an official site of Nature and Parks Authority and the government's recent decision to approve a new apartment building to be built in Hebron.

The High Cost of 'Free' College
by Brian Mark Weber:  When the dust settles from next Tuesday’s crucial midterm elections, the party that controls the House of Representatives will largely determine our nation’s public policy agenda. And one of the big items on the table is the federal student-loan program. As with health care and a host of other important issues, chalk this up as yet another piece of low-hanging fruit that Republicans failed to grab.

Despite controlling the White House and both houses of Congress, Republicans couldn’t muster enough votes to pass the PROSPER Act in 2017. Instead of having enacted their own reforms to higher-education standards and student-loan reforms, including the assurance that freedom of speech and fiscal responsibility were key components of the new act, Republicans may well be handing this one over to dummycrats-Democrats.
And don’t think for a moment that the dummycrats-Democrats don’t have a plan.
House and Senate dummycrats-Democrats are planning to reauthorize the Higher Education Act in the form of the Orwellian Aim Higher Act, which will largely take student-loan borrowers off the hook for repaying their loans while leaving taxpayers to foot the bill. If dummycrats-Democrats have their way, billions of dollars in student loans will be forgiven in a move that takes us one step closer to their dream of “free” college for everyone.
Of course, the AHA doesn’t bother to tackle government spending, ensure education quality, or incentivize lower tuition. Even illegal immigrants who quality for DACA will be free to rack up student-loan debt with no responsibility to pay it back. Prisoners, too, will be able to tap into Pell Grants and earn a college degree.
The only thing that changes in the dummycrats-Democrats’ plan is that even more federal money will be spent on higher education. As with all other socialist fantasies, “free” education is anything but free — except for those most responsible for running up the tab.
Jason Delisle and Cody Christensen write at National Review that payments on student loans under the revised program would barely cover the interest on those loans: “Such generous repayment terms transform federal loans almost into grants, signaling that borrowing more is better than borrowing less. For graduate and professional students who, unlike undergraduates, can access unlimited federal loans for tuition and living expenses, the Aim Higher Act would turn the loan program into a veritable ATM that dispenses taxpayer dollars, at least for those who ended up earning middle-class incomes.”
One aspect of the new proposal that seems too bad to be true is that students who’ve borrowed a higher amount may simply be able to run out the clock on their debt. “Thanks to the income exemption in the Aim Higher Act,” Delisle and Christensen add, “payments are low enough that the additional principal and interest owed on debts higher than $65,000 for a borrower with the given income profile are simply forgiven at the 20-year point. A $165,000 loan costs this borrower the same as a $65,000 loan. Either way, monthly payments would be identical for 20 years, and then all remaining debt is forgiven. Graduate students who do not max out their loans under such incentives would literally leave free money — provided at taxpayers’ expense — on the table.”
dummycrats-Democrats always claim that offering free public services will actually save money and reduce the national debt. In the end, forgiving more student loans under the Aim Higher Act will only add more weight onto the shoulders of future generations. Just last year, Money reported that student-loan debt had topped $1.3 trillion. But as long as college-age voters flock to the dummycrats-Democrat Party, no one in their leadership ranks really cares about the cost.
As Margaret Thatcher once famously stated, “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money.” Free college for all? Don’t fall for it.

Goodbye 2020: Clinton Ordered By Federal Judge To Submit To Questioning

(TeaParty.org) – Just when Hillary Clinton began hinting that she’s ready to run again in 2020, she has been ordered by a federal judge to submit to questioning about the use of her private email server to convey classified documents during her time as Secretary of State.

U.S. District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan made the order as part of a lawsuit from conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch.

“Court rules late today Hillary Clinton must answer more email questions — including key q’s about the setting up of her email system,” wrote Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton in a tweet following the ruling.

Breaking: Court rules late today Hillary Clinton must answer more email questions -- including key q's about the setting up of her email system. Court denied our request to unseal vid depositions of Clinton aides. Great work by Michael Bekesha!

As a statement from Judicial Watch explains, the ruling is the latest development in the group’s Freedom of Information Act lawsuit, which they began to discover why former deputy chief of staff to Mrs. Clinton, Huma Abedin, was allowed to work at the State Department while also engaged in “outside employment.”

Clinton now has 30 days to answer two key questions from a list of 25 questions composed by Judicial Watch.

The questions the judge selected are:

1) “Describe the creation of the clintonemail.com system, including who decided to create the system, the date it was decided to create the system, why it was created, who set it up, and when it became operational.”

During your October 22, 2015 appearance before the U.S. House of Representatives Select Committee on Benghazi, you testified that 90 to 95 percent of your emails “were in the State’s system” and “if they wanted to see them, they would certainly have been able to do so.” Identify the basis for this statement, including all facts on which you relied in support of the statement, how and when you became aware of these facts, and, if you were made aware of these facts by or through another person, identify the person who made you aware of these facts.

This new development is huge because it means that the two critical scandals from Clinton’s time in the State Department, her private email server and the Benghazi attacks, are facing fresh scrutiny in both the legal system and the court of public opinion.

And while Clinton likely had little chance of any run in 2020, this makes it even less likely she will stand even a shred of a chance.

We’ve have got to hope and pray that at long last, this leads to the long overdue criminal charges we’ve all been waiting to see.
