Like With Sharpton, Lerner, Just Never Opened Them

{rickwells.us} ~ Racist and former criminal Attorney General, Eric Holder, attempted to ascribe some sort of moral superiority to the corrupt liar-nObama regime... in which he held a high profile position in the aftermath of the presidential pardon granted to Sheriff Joe Arpaio by President Trump. The anti-American, anti-white, drug cartel gun-runner Holder sent out a Tweet on Sunday that read, “Number of times over six years that ‘president’ liar-nObama called and asked me to think about dropping a case: ZERO.” Holder attempts to construct a false equivalence between his situation as a corrupt AG in a corrupt communist Islamic regime and our honest President Trump who has an honest, although tentative, Attorney General in Jeff Sessions. There’s really no comparison...  http://rickwells.us/holder-claims-never-asked-drop-charges-sharpton-lerner-just-opened/

{dailysignal.com} ~ When Republicans went to the White House early in Barack liar-nObama’s presidency to negotiate specifics of an economic stimulus bill, liar-nObama reminded them that his policy preferences must prevail because “elections have consequences.”... Of course, when he said that, liar-nObama couldn’t possibly have foreseen the 2016 election of President Donald Trump, but seldom has an election been more consequential. That elections have consequences was further underscored when Trump rightly reversed course on a misinterpretation of a 1993 law by the previous administration. That law, the National Voter Registration Act, reformed the nation’s voter registration process. Having reversed course, the Justice Department is now siding with Ohio in its legitimate efforts to clean up its voter rolls...  http://dailysignal.com/2017/08/24/ohio-wants-to-clean-up-its-voter-rolls-why-are-democrats-so-up-in-arms/?utm_source=TDS_Email&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=MorningBell&mkt_tok=eyJpIjoiTWpZME1HWmtNR015WWpJeCIsInQiOiJcL3ludzFvVWI5bmpiTnE0RVdpeW1Cd1RQdGxwRzMwU2RWeFk1ZXIrK3BpZFY0dGhpQmtUZXZ2akZUXC9cL1ZqXC8yelViQ2hzdnZMYmRoUmgyaWZreWtnRnczcGMza0ZSdHFoTDlVMDhtMnZYWGErbVBpTzBKZ1c4WkVGOExtVGhMZG8ifQ%3D%3D

{legalinsurrection.com} ~ Hundreds of black-clad masked Antifa rioters descended on a park in Berkeley, California, after a “No to Marxism” rally was canceled... A few people showed up anyway, and were viciously beaten and attacked. Mainstream media journalists caught in the middle described the Antifa rioters arriving in battle formation armed with shields which were specifically prohibited under published police rules and the police appearing to stand down. Journalists who were filming were repeatedly attacked by Antifa...This is wrong Berkeley.  http://legalinsurrection.com/2017/08/journalist-amid-antifa-berkeley-riots-police-have-completely-disappeared-people-getting-beaten-up/

{thecommonsenseshow.com} ~ Several weeks ago, I challenged how a person on a $170,000 public servant’s salary could afford to live in a home that costs nearly $5 million dollars... It seems now that many others are asking the same question. Waters fellow congressman have found more substantial evidence of financial impropriety. Predictably, she has already labeled the investigation as “racist”. Here is the complete story.  http://www.thecommonsenseshow.com/2017/08/27/maxine-waters-charged-with-financial-crimes-by-the-house-of-repres/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=maxine-waters-charged-with-financial-crimes-by-the-house-of-repres

The Time Has Come To Stop The War On Free Speech

{frontpagemag.com} ~ Freedom of Assembly is the first and most important right of the Bill of Rights. Today it is being denied in cities like Berkeley and Portland where local left-wing governments have contrived to deny rally permits... while giving the masked thugs of their leftist Antifa allies a blank check to assault those whose views they oppose. In Berkley, Boston and San Francisco, the First Amendment doesn’t exist anymore. The threat of violence that shut down the Patriot Prayer demonstration in San Francisco, an event scheduled to feature African American, Samoan and Latino speakers, is a case of fascism justifying itself by flying the false flag of “anti-fascism.” And it is the third such case this week – the others being Boston and Berkeley. The founder of Patriot Prayer, Joey Gibson, is a Japanese American who regards himself as a “person of color” and who had made it very clear that he opposes Neo-Nazis and white supremacists, and who has publicly stated that his goal is to promote “love” not hate. This time the violence and hate were coming from one side, and one side only...  http://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/267712/time-has-come-stop-war-free-speech-daniel-greenfield

THE KENNEDY AWARDS
by Burt Prelutsky

Apparently, the President and the First Lady will not be attending the annual awards bash at the Kennedy Center because three of the five recipients -- TV writer/producer Norman Lear, singer Lionel Richie and dancer/choreographer Carmen De Lavallade -- all announced they would skip the reception at the White House over their political objections to Donald Trump.  Trump, in turn, said he would skip the awards because he didn’t want to serve as a distraction.

I suspect that the trio, especially, Mr. Lear, will take advantage of Trump’s absence to promote their own leftist agenda, just as their kind inevitably do at other similar events, such as the Oscars, the Emmys, the Grammys and the Democratic presidential convention, where various notables get to display their hypocrisy and political myopia for the entire world to see.

Just for the record, it appears that the other two honorees, Gloria Estefan, a singer, and LT Cool J (born James Todd Smith), a hip-hop artist, were okay with meeting Mr. and Mrs. Trump.  I wonder if their base will ever forgive them for their moral lapse.

● Speaking of President Trump, I finally disagree with him on a major issue.  After 16 years, I fail to see the point of sending a few thousand more American troops into Afghanistan.  I understand that once again, we are being told that their role will be mainly the training of the Afghans so that they can hold their own against the Taliban.

Our own troops go through 16 weeks of basic training, but apparently the Afghans still can’t tie their own shoes after 16 interminable years.

I don’t have the slightest idea what victory would look like in that part of the world.  Assuming we don’t intend to level it with a nuclear bomb or two, the government would remain one of the most corrupt and tribal-oriented in the world.  Its main export would continue to be the basic ingredient of heroin.  Its population would continue to consist of Muslims who hate us as much or more than they hate the Taliban.

Over the past 16 years, we have lost roughly 2,500 Americans fighting in this seemingly endless war, with another 20,000 American troops who have been wounded, all at a cost to the American taxpayer of a trillion dollars.

What's more, a great many of the murders were committed by our Afghan allies.

It’s beginning to take on the aspect of the Hundred Years’ War, which was a series of conflicts during the Middle Ages that pit the English House of Plantagenet against the French House of Valois, over succession to the French throne.  It managed to keep five generations of kings occupied.

So far, Afghanistan has kept two American presidents hopping, and now a third has jumped on board for no rational reason.

When it came to Afghanistan, even the Russians knew when it was time to finally throw in the bloody towel.

If I were Trump, I would announce that we had won and then get our troops the hell out of the godforsaken pig sty, and let the natives get back to doing what they do best; namely, slaughtering each other in the name of Allah.

● I just recently discovered that it was not Voltaire, but Evelyn Beatrice Hall, who was the source of the line “I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.”

The connection is that Miss Hall (1868-1956), a British author wrote the line in one of her biographies of Voltaire (1694-1778), as a way of summing up his beliefs when it came to free speech.

What’s fascinating to me is that Voltaire was the pen name of Francois-Marie Arouet, and Miss Hall used the pen name, S.G. Tallentyre in writing two books, “The Life of Voltaire” and “The Friends of Voltaire” about her hero.

But, in 1903, a third writer, her brother-in-law, High Stowell Scott (1862-1903), left Miss Hall a small fortune in “token of my gratitude for her continued assistance and literary advice, without which I should never have been able to make a living with my pen.”  And he, too, employed a nom de plume, Henry Seton Merriman.

I suppose if Voltaire, Hall and Scott had ever been able to dine together, Arouet, Tallentyre and Merriman, would have had to sit at a different table.  Perhaps at a table that called itself a chair or a sofa.

● Things have gotten so bad in America that whites are prohibited from denying the existence of white privilege even if they’re poor and living on welfare or working a double shift at Walmart.

Well-to-do white males are pilloried if they suggest that they owe their success to working harder than others in school, longer hours in the workplace or perhaps inventing something that millions of people hadn’t even realized they couldn’t live without, whether it was a computer or a special pillow.

In the same way, men are told they’re not entitled to voice an opinion when it comes to abortions.  They are merely expected to nod whenever someone with a uterus claims she can do whatever she wants with her body, including committing infanticide.

White people are banned from commenting on the plight of urban blacks -- not one of whom is in chains or picking cotton -- even if it’s only to point out that if success is the goal, dropping out of high school, having children out of wedlock and dealing or using heroin or cocaine, is not the best way to go about it.  That is, unless you can catch a football, dunk a basketball or carry a tune.

● Being a Nazi today doesn’t require brandishing a swastika or wearing a Halloween costume.  All it takes is behaving like one.

The difference between burning books in the 1930s in Berlin and shouting down people who write books and chasing them off the premises in Berkeley is a difference without a distinction.

Today, I dare say there is more freedom of speech in our prisons than on our college campuses.

What has befallen our colleges and universities is at least as troubling as the mob rule we have seen in our streets.  In the streets, it’s left-wing mayors and police chiefs who are more concerned with who is committing the violence than with the violence itself.  On campuses, it’s gutless presidents, deans and professors, who refuse to stand up in defense of the 1st Amendment, so long as the barbarians happen to share their leftist agenda.

Their mantra is that diversity is the only thing that matters, by which they mean more black and brown faces, but never a diversity of ideas.  Anyone who doesn’t parrot the acceptable talking points when it comes to race, abortions, immigration and climate change, will have the door slammed in their face if he or she is naïve enough to seek a teaching position in the so-called Humanities at any college you’ve ever heard of, aside from Hillsdale.

Conservatives can still become tenured professors if they are engaged in science or math, where expertise is still required.  But in the other so-called disciplines, where an ambitious student need only fill his blue books with the left-wing drivel he’s been spoon-fed for four years, a degree is merely proof that some 21-year-old has traded his soul for a 3.5 grade point average.

● Jeff Rice, the pride of Floyd, Virginia, let me know that at a recent Little League game, the Coach allegedly called one of his young players over, leaned down and said: “Do you understand what cooperation is?  What a team is?”

“Yes, Coach.”

“Do you understand that what matters is that whether we win or lose, we do it together as a team?”

The little boy nodded.

“So, I’m sure you know,” the Coach went on, “that when you’re called out on strikes, you shouldn’t argue, curse or attack the Umpire, or call him a bad name.  Do you understand all that?”

“Yes, Coach, I do.”

“And when I take you out of the game so that another boy gets to play, it’s not a dumb-ass decision.  It doesn’t mean I’m a fathead or the hindquarters of a donkey.  Right?”

“Right, Coach.”

“Good.  Now go over there and explain all that to your grandmother!”
