Keeping God In Pledge of Allegiance Faces New Legal Attack on America’s Soul

America’s heartland must fight to keep “Under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance

Fifty-nine years ago young children all across America walked into their respective schoolrooms and with pride bursting in their young chests they recited the Pledge of Allegiance. There was a new and deeper meaning reflected in the addition to this pledge because the words “under God” were inserted to read, in full, “one nation under God.”

Since that momentous year millions of elementary school students all across America have recited this pledge – some hoping that their teacher will select them to stand in front of the classroom to proudly lead the recitation. Yet deep within the hardened hearts of some in America – led by infamous atheists like Madalyn Murray O’Hair – a concerted effort began to tear God away from children in public schools.

That effort has been renewed by an atheist couple in Massachusetts. They are attacking the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance’s “under God” phrase. They claim in their Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court case that, the words are exclusionary to their atheist children and violate their kids’ rights under the Equal Rights Amendment of the Massachusetts Constitution.

One has to understand the full dimension and scale of this nearly sixty plus year assault upon maintaining God in the Pledge of Allegiance which began with infamous atheist Madalyn Murray O’Hair’s frontal assault in the 1940’s and 1950’s. She waged a successful effort to remove prayer from public schools, and assisted the growing effort of the secularization of America. The goal was to create a socialist nation which undermined and removed the basic biblical principles of character and heartland values the nation’s children.

In 2004, 50 years had passed since the adoption of “under God” in the pledge and O’Hair’s war on God in America, when the U.S. Supreme Court took up a case that challenged the phrase. The court ruled unanimously ruled that the phrase “under God” may remain in the Pledge of Allegiance as recited in public school classrooms. Nine years ago, many felt the nation’s heritage of respecting God in the Pledge of Allegiance was safe. It was not.

In 2007, just three years later, the Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott filed a brief with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit defending the constitutionality of the Texas Pledge of Allegiance which includes ‘one state under God’. Attorney General Abbott stated then, “Just as it is perfectly constitutional for Texas schoolchildren to pledge their allegiance to ‘one nation under God,’ it is also constitutional for students to pledge their allegiance to ‘one state, under God.” The Texas Attorney General was successful.

One has to ask, to what end and for what purpose does removal of God from the state of Texas public schools or from America’s national Pledge of Allegiance or removing his son Jesus Christ from the public square announcing his birth mean?

The clear and convincing purpose of atheists and secularists who denounce God and denounce Christ is to extinguish America’s connection to God in our spirit, in our heart, and most importantly in our soul. The purpose is to eradicate God and Christ and the principles and values that they exemplify as if they never existed.

Like Thomas Jefferson and James Madison I believe in the strict separation of Church and State.  People who don't like the words "under God" should just omit them when they recite the Pledge

Who is the god of America now? I believe this nation was founded a nation under God. That God being Jesus Christ, God's son, God in flesh that died on the cross of Calvary and rose again for our justification.

Although all the people that lived at that time did not look at Him the same way. they all did reverence Him and respect each person and gave them the right to believe as they seen fit.

Even the people that said they did not believe were touched by the God consciousness that was so [powerful in this country at that time. A man that did not even worship would still to some degree, pray and respect the prayers of others.

Although I believe that this country can once again feel the presence of the Holy Spirit again we must first stand up as believers, starting in our believing Churches and exalt His Holy name. Far too long we have set back and allow a little jesus to satisfy us. We need to worship the one that has the power to transform, to cause men to stand up and boldly proclaim Jesus Christ and that without Him men perish in an eternal hell.

We have Christian colleges all across this great country, where are the men and women that they turn out each year. It's something missing and we must get down on our knees and ask our Lord to reveal it to each of us and change as individuals as needed, starting with (me). When I pray and God reveals me something I must change no matter how hard it is to do I must be willing to change, if for no other reason for my country's sake that my grand children can see the same blessings in our local Churches I have seen, have to same privileges I have had and meet the same Jesus Christ I met some years ago.

So I ask again, what God do we serve in this country? If we want the same power and blessing our for fathers had in this land we must seek and serve the same God they walked with. Right now, sad to say the one we serve is not the same, We might call him by the same name but it is not the same God.

There was a man once that said( GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH. Meaning that if I can't have liberty here, I'd rather die and go where I know I have it already. If you my friend don't have something in your life that you will die for , then you really don't have anything to live for, you just can't see it because of the blindness of the heart. Think about this, today all of our politicians have secret service to protect them and that might be a good thing. Little David look at his people one day and said( is there not a cause and he slew the giant when all the men of power were afraid. Maybe we are hiding from the giant. George Washington lead his men to battle and defeated the enemy, we can't even fight because of fear. That fear is not founded in this country, it's stalemated in the city named after Washington a man with courage that was one of those people that wanted liberty or death, not afraid. He was willing to fight for something bigger than himself.

Today most men that that try to fill his political shoes are led by the god of money and not the God that Washington honored. Maybe he looked at things a little different than some but he trusted His Savor to guide his steps.

We have a lot of military men of all ranks that are very willing to fight for the freedom of this country, no matter what the cost to them, even death but the leader we have a different different god that directs their path.

If you put a one in front of many zeros  it gets bigger and bigger.(1000000000000). On the other hand if you put a zero first the one gets smaller and smaller.(000000000000000001). In this country we have way too many zeros in front of the ones. Put God first, we can win.

It seams like we let this go on, and now we are paying for it. As a country who has been blessed and has been a leader in a lot of ways, because of some, some have turned there backs on God and Jesus. We need to get back on track in this and fight to keep this country free.

Well, I will post a comment to this and apologize if it is an old subject.

However, The Knights of Columbus, a Catholic Mens Charitable organization was very instrumental in having those words added to our pledge of allegiance.  It is not something we boast about as it is the same with all our deeds.  I will tell you this though, we are now 100,000 strong in Texas alone, and I don;t know of a member that will not lay down their lives to keep it there.

Ed, yes and that is on again.. those lies are in our face again.. It is all about UN control and Al Gore sits on the sidelines. So far he has made over 100 million from that lie which gave him the Nobel Prize. But should we really respect the present UN? It has a member group that kidnapps children in Southeast Asia for organs and sex trade! I looked it up. We notice that Obama seems to love the UN and their anti-freedom declarations! He should of never been President of a turd!

Hal, freedom must be for all people and not just Atheists or Muslims. This country was founded by Christians and, by that, they insisted that all faiths,, even the Atheist, have the same rights! But when others insist that freedom of speech does not apply to a community, it is tyranny! People have a right to support what faith they choose!

James, I have watched almost every debate on Evolution and never saw any Evolutionist or group of them win! It is all political! I remember a commentator on PBS was told by his superiors, no matter what happens, the Evolutionists won! The debate was with two Biologists and one Dow Chemist! The Chemist said it did not support scientific investigation! He had those two crying! He had their hands tied as they had no where to go! At the end of this the commentator said the Evolutionists had won!?????????????? I was insanely shocked! I caught this idiot on the internet and told he what a liar he was! He bent over backwards in saying he was wrong.. but the damage was already done! I have debated Chemists in England and they lost.. it did not happen! They admitted they could not come against the facts I gave!  Science is not a bad thing, corrupting it with politics can destroy many!

What we all have to bear in mind is that Atheism IS a religion, and it is a religion that the US Government favors, contrary to clear Constitutional instructions, above all others.   The Washington regime has been forcing the issue for so many years now that Atheism, in effect, has already become the "official" de facto religion of the United States.   Atheism has its god, though its followers will never openly admit it.  Their god goes by many names, but the one certain thing we know about this entity is that he is "the father of all lies."    So it is not surprising, to me at least, that members of the Atheist religion insist that they have no god, because, according to them, there is none.   This, of course, is a lie, and this insistence on their part is totally consistent with the fundamental nature of their religion--which they call "Atheism,"----and the god that they follow.   Would you expect the members of a religion whose god is the father of all lies to be truthful?   Since the beginning of civilization many nations have accepted as their god "the father of all lies,"  and have given themselves various names:  Sodom and Gomorrah, the Soviet Union, Nazi Germany, to name of few.   They have all ended up the same way:  on the trash-heap of history, after facing ignominious destruction.    I am obviously not a prophet, but it should be clear to most people that  unless America abandons the religion and way of life of Atheism and its god, we are headed for doom.   The United States could fall apart in a moment of time, just as the Soviet Union did, if that is the true God's will.    It all comes down  to the question of are we going to be a God-fearing nation or a godless one.

Breaking — West Virginia Lawmakers Invite Persecuted Pro-Second Amendment Counties In Virginia To Join Their State

West Virginia lawmakers introduced legislation to invite persecuted pro Second Amendment Counties to join their state.

The West Virginia Senate adopted a resolution to remind Virginia residents from Frederick County that they have a standing invite — from 1862 — to become part of West Virginia.

West Virginia freedom fighters broke away from Virginia Democrat slave owners during the Civil War.

This week West Virginia has once again invited persecuted Virginia pro 2-A counties to come join their state.

Sounds like a winning plan!

Resolution 8 reads as follows:

HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION 8

(By Delegates Howell, Summers, Shott, Householder, C. Martin, Hott, Graves, Cadle, Barnhart, J. Jeffries, Maynard, Phillips, Foster, Hamrick, Steele, D. Jeffries, Wilson, Waxman, Bartlett, Paynter, Linville, Sypolt, Bibby, Hill, Ellington, Higginbotham, J. Kelly, Mandt, Pack, Dean and P. Martin)

[Introduced January 14, 2020]

Providing for an election to be had, pending approval of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Virginia, and a majority of qualified citizens voting upon the proposition prior to August 1, 2020, for the admission of certain counties and independent cities of the Commonwealth of Virginia to be admitted to the State of West Virginia as constituent counties, under the provisions of Article VI, Section 11 of the Constitution of West Virginia

Whereas, The Legislature of West Virginia finds that in 1863, due to longstanding perceived attitudes of neglect for the interests of the citizens of Western Virginia, and a studied failure to address the differences which had grown between the counties of Western Virginia and the government at Richmond, the Commonwealth of Virginia was irretrievably divided, and the new State of West Virginia was formed; and

Whereas, Such division occurred as the Trans-Allegheny portions of Virginia perceived that they suffered under an inequitable measure of taxation by which they bore a disproportionate share of the tax burden; and

Whereas, That this perception was further compounded by the effects of a scheme of representation by which Trans-Allegheny Virginia was not allowed to have its proper and equitable share of representation in the government at Richmond; and

Whereas, That this arrangement arguably resulted in the tax dollars of Trans-Allegheny Virginia being used to enrich the Tidewater through internal improvements which did not benefit the people of Western Virginia, while the people of the Trans-Allegheny had little to no say in how their tax dollars were allocated; and

Whereas, Though this course led to an irreconcilable division, and the subsequent formation of West Virginia, yet, the longstanding peaceful cooperation between this State and the Commonwealth of Virginia is a sign that such separation, undertaken even under the most challenging and onerous of circumstances, can, with the passage of time, yield lasting results which are beneficial to both sides; and

Whereas, In the intervening years, the same neglect for the interests of many of the remaining counties of the Commonwealth of Virginia has allegedly been evidenced by the government at Richmond; and

Whereas, Particularly, many citizens of the Southside, the Shenandoah Valley, Southwestern Virginia, and the Piedmont contend that an inequitable measure of taxation exists by which they bear a disproportionate share of the present tax burden of the Commonwealth; and

Whereas, The people of the Southside, the Shenandoah Valley, Southwestern Virginia, and the Piedmont also believe that, currently, a scheme of representation exists by which the citizens of Southside, the Shenandoah Valley, Southwestern Virginia, and the Piedmont do not have a proper share of representation in the government at Richmond; and, consequently

Whereas, The people of the Southside, the Shenandoah Valley, Southwestern Virginia, and the Piedmont believe that their tax dollars are used to enrich the Tidewater and Northern Virginia through internal improvements which do not benefit the people of these other parts of Virginia, while the people of these other parts of Virginia have little to no say in how their tax dollars are allocated; and

Whereas, In recent days, these tensions have been compounded by a perception of contempt on the part of the government at Richmond for the differences in certain fundamental political and societal principles which prevail between the varied counties and cities of that Commonwealth; and

Whereas, In the latest, and most evident, in this string of grievances, the government at Richmond now seeks to place intolerable restraints upon the rights guaranteed under the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution to the citizens of that Commonwealth; and

Whereas, The Legislative body of West Virginia believes that this latest action defies the wise counsel which has come down to us in the august words of our common Virginia Founders: as the government at Richmond now repudiates the counsel of that tribune of liberty, Patrick Henry-who stated to the Virginia Ratifying Convention in 1788 that “The great object is that every man be armed. Everyone who is able might have a gun”; and

Whereas, The government at Richmond now repudiates the counsel of a Signer of the Declaration and premier advocate of American independence, Richard Henry Lee-who stated in The Federal Farmer that “To preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms”; and

Whereas, The government at Richmond now repudiates the counsel of that zealous guardian of our inherent rights, George Mason-who stated that “To disarm the people…[i]s the most effectual way to enslave them”; and

Whereas, The government at Richmond now repudiates the counsel of the declaimer of our independence and theoretician of our freedoms, Thomas Jefferson-who stated in his first draft of the Virginia Constitution, that “No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms”; and

Whereas, The Boards of Supervisors of many Virginia counties and the Councils of many Virginia cities have recognized this dangerous departure from the doctrine of the Founders on the part of the government at Richmond; and

Whereas, These Boards of Supervisors and Councils have passed resolutions refusing to countenance what they affirm are unwarranted and unconstitutional measures by that government to infringe the firearm rights of Virginians; and

Whereas, The actions of the government at Richmond undertaken since the recent general election have, regrettably, resulted in unproductive contention and escalating a lamentable state of civic tension; and

Whereas, That, as has been proven in numerous instances, such as have been observed internationally in more recent times with the peaceful dissolutions of Czechoslovakia and the Soviet Union, and the creation of South Sudan, or, earlier in Virginia’s own history, with the formation of Kentucky, the peaceful partition of neighboring peoples can occur, and, is often very beneficial to both sides in reducing tensions and improving the tenor of discourse over ongoing political and societal differences; and

Whereas, Article VI, Section 11 of The Constitution of the State of West Virginia explicitly permits additional territory to be admitted into, and become part of this state, with the consent of the Legislature and of a majority of the qualified voters of the state; and

Whereas, In a spirit of conciliation, the Legislature of West Virginia hereby extends an invitation to our fellow Virginians who wish to do so, to join us in our noble experiment of 156 years of separation from the government at Richmond; and, we extend an invitation to any constituent county or city of the Commonwealth of Virginia to be admitted to the body politic of the State of West Virginia, under the conditions set forth in our state Constitution, specifically, with the consent of a majority of the voters of such county or city voting upon such proposition; and we hereby covenant that their many grievances shall be addressed, and, we further covenant with them that their firearms rights shall be protected to the fullest extent possible under our Federal and State Constitutions; and

Whereas, Providing that the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Virginia shall give its assent to any county or independent city presently part of the Commonwealth of Virginia having the opportunity and ability to do so, therefore, be it

Resolved by the Legislature of West Virginia.
