On Wednesday, 50 sheriffs from around the country will converge on Washington, D.C. to demand that the GOP block House Speaker John Boehner's (R-OH) plans to fund Obama's executive amnesty.

According to the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), "the sheriffs will speak out against the president's recent executive amnesty which grants deferred action to millions of illegal aliens."

Sheriff Thomas M. Hodgson of Bristol County, Massachusetts organized the trip to the nation's capital. He will be joined by the other sheriffs at "a joint press conference with Sens. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) and David Ritter (R-LA), and other members of Congress."

The press conference is being held on December 10 because that comes less than two days "before government funding expires." To date, FAIR reports that Boehner has been hesitant to say he will not fund Obama's amnesty, choosing instead to say "there are a lot of options on the table" or "we have limited options in terms of how we can deal with this."

In reality, Boehner can see to it that Congress separates Department of Homeland Security (DHS) funding "from the larger omnibus appropriation measure" and explicitly states thatno funds can be used to fund Obama's amnesty

It would be nice if Boehner and McConnell had the b*lls to do something about it.  But I won't hold my breath.  The Repubs and Dems are simply two sides of the same tired old coin.  The TEA Party is looking better and better all the time.

Terry , you are exactly right. There is no difference in the two parties except a bunch of mouthing aa, but then neither DO anything \. NONE of them HONOR their OATH TO PROTECT THIS COUNTRY, and by that statement this country's LEGAL people.  BONER is just a crybaby drunk , and Mcconnell is so entrenched he thinks he's GOD. We nee to abolish 'parties"   and add something about having to tell the truth or the first time caught lying you WILL BE recall process needed.

Or, as someone posted the other day; "the democrat party is now the communist party and the republicans are now the democrat party".  This leaves US just one alternative and that would be the Tea Party!  Although, I understand there is,  now, a "muslim- American" party that's trying to make political inroads - -that, we cannot allow to happen.

Bring to light Boehner's trickery by his going against the people that Do NOT want lawless Amnesty. So glad these Sheriff's & Conservatives are bringing this treasonous actions by bone-head Boehner to light!

Yet it's been going on a million years and no one ever stopped it.. It will continue and get much much worse. Just like the Muslims.. They mooch and take advantage then spit in our faces. You give them an inch,. They take a mile.. Disgusting pigs.

The Tea Party is getting muscle enough to hold some "RECALL" elections of their own.  The folks that bad mouth conservatives and Tea Party should watch their lip, and their actions.  We're watching you RINOs.  The sheriffs have the right idea.  I have supported Sheriff Joe Arpaio for a long time.

To answer the Discussion Link question bluntly, "No, there is NO way to recall Boehner, McConnell, or ANY elected member of Congress, period. There is NO legal mechanism allowing for the recall of elected federal officials.

That is why members of Congress feel so secure in promising one thing on the campaign trail and doing the opposite in Washington.

BUT, in the event of an Article V Convention of States, an amendment could be drafted to allow for the recall of both the President and members of Congress.

Plus, prior to the 17th Amendment, Senators were occasionally recalled by their respective State Legislatures. It was rare, but it happened.

So, even discussing "recall" as an issue is a distraction. A better plan is to implement an Article V COS and draft an amendment establishing both recall AND term limits.

Contact your state reps, senators, govs, to support Article V COS, ASAP!!!

Ed Garcia, We are going to replace Boehner in January!  We are currently selecting a candidate to vote for in January!

We have the votes, 218, to remove Boehner he is not liked by many of the 245 Republican congressmen and women!  The remainder will go along to get along!

RigtOn Russ, that's a start.

Now contact your state reps, senators, gov, to support "Article V Convention of States" movement to remove current fed gov

Jeff Sessions, I hope!

Way to go protectors of our freedoms.

Florida Sheriff — “I Will Not Enforce Assault Weapons Ban, Neither Will Most Sheriffs”

Dennis Lemma, who is the Sheriff in Central Florida’s Seminole County, told a group of 2nd Amendment activists recently that he would not enforce an assault weapons ban that could soon become Florida law if the “Ban Assault Weapons Now” amendment passes in the Sunshine State.

According to News965, the ban has the following specifications.

The amendment proposed in the state legislature would ban possession of assault weapons, which are defined as “semiautomatic rifles and shotguns capable of holding more than 10 rounds of ammunition at once, either in fixed or detachable magazine, or any other ammunition feeding device.”

Lemma, an ardent supporter of the 2nd Amendment and a first term sheriff who is running for re-election, said this about whether or not he would enforce such a law.

“It’s not only that I wouldn’t, the majority of sheriffs across the state would not do it,” Lemma said in the video. It’s up to the sheriffs what they are willing to enforce.”
