"... folks that are bitter the election's over ..."

House Democrats are demanding that the winner of Tuesday’s presidential election should listen to the losing party in shaping the next administration.

A group of 169 House Democrats are insisting President-elect Donald Trump rescind the appointment of Breitbart News Executive Steve Bannon as Trump’s chief strategist and senior counselor. Bannon served as Trump’s campaign CEO for the final months of the general election campaign.

“Bigotry, anti-Semitism and xenophobia should have no place in our society, and they certainly have no place in the White House,” Rep. David Cicilline, D-R.I., said Wednesday in a statement.

“Whether intentional or not, the appointment of Mr. Bannon sends a disturbing message about what kind of president Donald Trump wants to be,” he added.

No Republicans signed the letter to Trump. Last week, Republicans gained control of the White House while maintaining control of both houses of Congress.

The letter to Trump said unity is impossible while Trump has an adviser like Bannon.

“Unfortunately, your appointment of Stephen Bannon, whose ties to the white nationalist movement have been well-documented, directly undermines your ability to unite the country,” the letter said.

“Millions of Americans have expressed fear and concern about how they will be treated by the Trump administration and your appointment of Mr. Bannon only exacerbates and validates their concerns. We strongly believe that Mr. Bannon’s appointment will not allow the country to heal and come together as one,” the letter added.

As Democrats hammered Bannon, others defended him.

Bannon’s critics are “folks that are bitter the election’s over,” Trump spokesman Jason Miller said. “They didn’t get the result that they wanted.”

“Steve Bannon is someone who’s done a fantastic job implementing the president-elect’s vision on the campaign trail,” Miller said. “He’s someone I’ve had the opportunity to work with over the past three or four months, someone I’ve seen very high character from.”

Breitbart Senior Editor-at-large Joel Pollak told NPR that Bannon “has no prejudices, he treats people equally, and, in fact, during my time working closely with him at Breitbart for five years, he sought out people from diverse backgrounds and gave them a voice at Breitbart.”

Pollak said Bannon is “from a conservative perspective at least, a national hero, because in helping Donald Trump win, he’s helped defend the Supreme Court and the Constitution.”

MeMike... you get a thumbs up for that one.

Now the Communist bastards want to work together, Hell no, don't give an inch, kick them while their down and don't let them up. Absolute insanity to deal with them. Time to begin the process of educating this country, get back to basics and build more private schools. This election proves America is beginning to wake up, let's take it the rest of the way.

God Bless America and the State of Israel

Live Free or Die

Republicans in the house/senate need to listen to their spiel and then vote like they were not even there.

They have no say so about Steve Bannon. Trump can hand out case's of Kleenex to them and charge the DNC for them.

;' / ..and he should

As posted, in response to an earlier post... the GOP had better consider the Dem's as obstructionist from the get go... AND repeal the Filibuster Rule as the first order of business in both Houses. Otherwise, the Dem's will obstruct and obfuscate at every opportunity... driving a wedge between the Congress and Pres. Trump's recovery strategy.

The Dem's are the minority and they need to be told so in no uncertain terms... Remove the power of the minority to obstruct Congress, eliminate the Filibuster Rule, or don't expect to get a single bill passed or appointment made, without serious compromise... Compromise that destroys the essence of Trumps pledge to clean out the swamp in DC and to restore America's Greatness.

Attempts to control the appointments made by Trump should be put down immediately.  Obama's Czar's were never consented to by Congress.  Sen. McConnell should appear before the Nation to announce that the US Senate will approve all of Pres. Trumps appointments... that the President should be allowed to appoint his Cabinet without interference from a soundly defeated minority.

Does anyone care?  You'd think they would realize they are not in a position to "Demand" anything!

The Dem's will continue to act as if they have all the power... until the GOP leadership sits them down FIRMLY and permanently defangs them.

Remove the Filibuster Rule as the first order of Business... Lock the Dem's out of the Congress's leadership meetings, kill every attempt they make to control Congress's agenda.  Strip them of any real power in committees and be prepared to seriously censure them if they obstruct or act to disrupt Congress... as they are likely to do so.

Forget Unity... there can be no unity between light and darkness... between Marxist and Capitalist they are diametrically opposed ideologies.

GOP, most of then sold out to CFR Of London England, they need to be removed from office. The battle is now just started.

We should be trampling Democrats into silence and calling it unity. They don't realize that worldwide sentiment has turned away from the idea "government is the answer" and won't change for decades. Until they make fiscal and socioeconomic sense I say just trample them and throw a victory party every Friday

I would tell them just like ohomo did they can come along for the ride but they're going to have to sit in the back of the bus

Of course the liberals want to dump Mr. Bannon.  Because he has a brain, a high IQ.  And that is something totally foreign to any breathing liberal.  Carry on Mr. Bannon and make America proud.

SICK: Leprosy On The Rise In Los Angeles

Ahh, the joys of open borders and Democrat leadership.

California is not just a public toilet but now there is evidence that leprosy is on the rise in Los Angeles County.

Barack Obama changed US law in 2016 and allowed immigrants with blistering STDs and leprosy to migrate to the US.

Medscape reported:

Leprosy, also known as Hansen’s disease, is rarely seen in the United States, but cases continue to emerge in Los Angeles County, a new report says.

“Hansen’s disease still exists, and we need to educate medical students and physicians,” coauthor Dr. Maria Teresa Ochoa from Keck Medical Center of the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, told Reuters Health by email.

Dr. Ochoa and colleagues identified 187 patients with the disease in a review of medical records from their leprosy clinic spanning 1973 to 2018. Most patients were Latino, originating from Mexico, and they experienced a median delay in diagnosis of more than three years, the team reports JAMA Dermatology, online August 7.

Multibacillary leprosy (MB) cases outnumbered paucibacillary leprosy (PB) cases by nearly eight to one (88.6% vs. 11.4%, respectively), and Latino patients were more likely than non-Latino patients to have MB, as were patients from Central or South America (versus other regions).

Most patients (80.7%) received multidrug therapy, and most (92.6%) received antibiotics for more than two years, especially if they had MB.

Only about half of patients (56.7%) had World Health Organization (WHO) grade 0 disability (no signs or symptoms suggestive of leprosy or disability) at the one-year follow-up, whereas 16.0% had grade 1 disability (loss of protective sensation) and 26.2% had grade 2 disability (visible deformity) at the last follow-up.

Among the patients who lost protective sensation, 87.7% (50/57) did not regain it following therapy.
