Many thanks for your detailed reply to my query about the 100-mile-deep zone.
It looks as though We the People are going to have to keep a very close eye on the DHS's interpretation of that exception to the 4th Amendment. Or they will be 'searching' EVERYBODY'S private materials/communications who lives in that zone - not just at border crossing points. Give them an inch, and they'll take a 100 miles...
