The tumultuous situation in Ukraine has escalated dramatically, so much so, in fact, that Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev stated that the nation was on the verge of civil war as Kiev authorities launched a military operation against pro-Kremlin militants in the separatist east.
"I will be brief: Ukraine is on the brink of civil war, it's frightening,"the country's former president was quoted as saying by Russian news agencies.
Meanwhile, back in the US, Presidential Poser Barack Obama continues to meet with top advisers and livestock scholars in a desperate attempt to diffuse a dangerous outbreak of “Mad Cow” disorder in which Nevada ranchers were savoring a victory over Obama’s Bureau of Land Management intellectuals whom had invaded the Bundy Ranch to quash an outbreak of “illegal cattle grazing.”
Thus, Vladimir Putin uses his KGB credentials and evil ways to conquer Europe and return Russia to the glory days of the Soviet Union, whilst Barack Obama chases 900 cattle around the bad lands of Nevada to divert public attention from his failed ObamaCare disaster!
Yes, Virginia, it is true: The era of American Exceptionalism really is over!

Since your article was primarily aimed at the outrageous behavior of the Obama Admin. in the Cattlegate and Obamacare matters, will you please retract the gratuitous title demonizing RF President Putin and the fourth paragraph comments blaming Pres. Putin for the Ukraine tinderbox? Thank you. You are minimizing the Obama State Department's and Obama CIA's culpability in Ukraine, i.e. Victoria Nuland and more recently J. Brennan.

My article was primarily aimed at the outrageous behavior of the Obama thugs re the Cattlegate scandal and Obamacare.
An article in today's VNN, in my opinion, describes more accurately both the Obama Admin.'s criminal meddling in the Ukraine and the Russian Federation's responsible reaction to those same matters.

My definition of American Exceptionalism is not that we are better than other people in other lands but that we have a Constitution that enables Freedom to do what we ought to do. That Freedom does not mean license to whatever we want to do. So where is the line. The Founding Fathers felt that we could have freedom because the nation for the most part was not only Christian but were Christians in word and deed. There was no need to have government person standing on every corner with a state of the art weapon. The people had what some call a finely honed conscience, that is, they answered to a higher power. Without this answering to a higher power, namely God, we have what we have today, i.e., a culture that is deteriorating rapidly every day. We are headed into chaos rapidly in government, in economics, socially, in law breaking, in lack of border controls, in morality, in employment, in a lower standard of living, etc. You get the picture. We can stop this slide simply by emulating our forefathers who had a deep and abiding faith in God and who applied that faith in their everyday affairs. WAKE UP AMERICA BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE! This world belongs to God and we are making a mess of it. It won't be long, if we continue on this spiraling path, before He implements a greater Chastisement than what we have been experiencing via a smaller one these past 30 years or so. It is plainly visible that these Chastisements are increasingly worse every year. What is it going to take for Americans to come back to reality and truth, i.e. God, in order to gain His blessings and not His Chastisements.
I do not agree with your characterization of the Russian Federation's policy toward Europe. The Bundy confrontation may be a diversion to distract us from matters like Victoria Nuland's role fomenting dissent in Ukraine, or Seymour Hersh's recent reporting on the Al ghouta gas attacks.
