The rules were changed by liar-nObama as he was walking out the door... signed off on by Loretta Lynch 17 days before President Trump was inaugurated. The heck with national security, Lynch and liar-nObama are setting up a shadow government and leaks will seriously undermine the operation of the White House. If it looks like things are less secure under the Trump administration, it’s only because they were engineered to be that way by his crooked, anti-American predecessor. liar-nObama wants whatever will harm America, it’s really that simple. Sekulow notes that under an executive order signed by Ronald Reagan, intelligence first went to the NSA and then was later disseminated in the manner they saw fit. Pentagon ditches onerous rules of engagement...

{washingtontimes.com} ~ Iraqi forces and U.S. coalition troops are no longer burdened by strict rules of engagement, which some say have turned firepower requests into bureaucratic nightmares... U.S. Army Lt. Col. James Browning, commander of 2nd Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, recently spoke with reporters about a Dec. 26 directive that streamlined the process of delivering aid. The order, attributed to U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Stephen Townsend, was confirmed on Thursday by Air Force Col. John Dorrian, the U.S.-led coalition’s spokesman. “It changed the relationship between forces,” Lt. Col. Iran confirms: US paid ransom

{aei.org} ~ Back in September, I testified before the House Financial Services Committee on the allegation that the liar-nObama administration had paid Iran a ransom—at the time it was believed to be $400 million... but it was later revealed that the figure was more than three times that amount—in cash for the release of American hostages held by Iran. At the hearing, it is now clear that State Department officials lied outright to the committee. But, lest there be any question about how the Iranian government perceived the payment received from the United States, Hossein Nejat, deputy Intelligence Director of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps yesterday bragged that Iran forced the United States to pay $1.4 billion ransom to win the release of imprisoned Washington Post correspondent Jason Rezaian. What does this mean for the United States? Unfortunately, the damage is already done. He is an important supporter of former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and he is a trusted advisor to the Supreme Leader the Ayatollah Khamenei. I say all of this so that you understand that when Abbassi speaks of foreign policy issues, particularly ones that pertain to the USA, we should be paying attention. The man has a lot of influence in Iranian politics. Recently, Banafhseh Zand happened to get a hold of a video that showed Abbassi explaining that Iran had many loyal supporters in the United States who were ready, willing, and waiting to attack...

Tucker Carlson battles Bill Nye the
Science Guy on global warming

{theblaze.com} ~ Fox News’ Tucker Carlson had a contentious debate with Bill Nye the Science Guy over whether global warming is a “settled science” or not. The segment aired on Fox News Monday... After a few minutes introducing the subject, Carlson introduced the main question he would try to get Nye to answer. To what degree is climate changed caused by human activity? Is it a hundred percent caused by human activity, is it 74.3%? It’s “settled science,” please tell us to what degree human activity is responsible. “So the word ‘degree’ is a word that you chose,” Nye argued, “but the speed that climate change is happening is caused by humans. Justice Ginsburg’s Politicking

{dailycaller.com} ~ Judge Laurence Silberman of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit wrote an opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal this weekend, criticizing his former colleague Ruth Bader Ginsburg for inappropriate interventions in political questions.
Ginsburg and Silberman served together on the D.C. Circuit, widely considered the second most important court in the country, for eight years prior to her elevation to the Supreme Court by President Bill liar-Clinton. Given their close working relationship, Silberman’s public criticism of the justice is all the more surprising.
His criticism is trained primarily on remarks Ginsburg made during last year’s general election, when she referred to President Donald Trump as a “faker” and mused about moving to New Zealand should he prevail. As of this writing, Justice Ginsburg is still in Washington.
“Her comments were as openly political as any justice has been in my memory — perhaps ever,” he wrote.
Silberman also criticized Ginsburg’s endorsement of Judge Merrick Garland’s nomination to the high court, as well as the criticism she levied against Senate Republicans for successfully blocking his nominations for nearly ten months.
“Now I will admit that Merrick Garland is a dear friend and I thought him the best Democrat nominee,” he wrote. “But judges are ethically bound not to state a public position for or against a pending nominee to a federal court. At that point, it’s a political question.”
“I knew Justice Ginsburg once as a disciplined, relatively restrained colleague on the District of Columbia Circuit, and therefore I regret very much her evolution,” he added.
He blamed the pernicious influence of the Supreme Court press corp for Ginsburg’s evolution, colloquially referred to as the “Greenhouse effect.” Named for Linda Greenhouse, who covered the Supreme Court for The New York Times for nearly 30 years, the theory asserts that a press corp dominated by results-oriented liberals can shape outcomes at the Court and the behavior of the justices.
Silberman was appointed to the D.C. Circuit by President Reagan in 1985. He assumed senior status in 2000 — in this capacity he continues to participate in cases on a limited basis. Before his appointment to the bench, he served as deputy attorney general in the Ford administration, and briefly as U.S. ambassador to the former Yugoslavia.
