Virginia Dems Pass Bill To Give All Electoral
Votes to Whoever Wins the Popular Vote

{ westernjournal.com } ~ The Democrat-controlled Virginia House of Delegates passed a bill Tuesday that would automatically give Virginia’s electoral votes to whichever presidential candidate wins the national popular vote... House Bill 177, passed in a 51-46 vote after an amended version of the bill recommended by the body’s Privileges and Elections Committee was approved last week. Should the bill be passed by the Democrat-led state Senate and signed into law by Democratic Gov. worthless-Ralph Northam, Virginia would be entered into the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact. “Under the compact, Virginia agrees to award its electoral votes to the presidential ticket that receives the most popular votes in all 50 states and the District of Columbia,” the bill summary says. Under the U.S. Constitution, presidents are not chosen by a simple majority of the nationwide popular vote. Instead, under the 12th Amendment, the winning candidate must receive a majority of the votes cast by the states’ representatives in the Electoral College. Every four years, each state holds an election for president, and according to the U.S. House of Representatives website, most states have laws on the books requiring that their “electoral votes go to the candidate who receives the plurality in that state.” But the Virginia bill seeks to ensure that all of the state’s electoral votes would automatically be awarded to whoever wins the national popular vote. Thus, the votes of Virginia citizens would not directly affect which candidate their state’s electoral votes are allocated to. The Electoral College would subsequently have little purpose in Virginia and in states that have passed similar laws. Throughout the months-long witch hunt, Democratic Rep. scumbag/liar-Adam Schiff claimed Trump committed an impeachable offense when he temporarily withheld sending U.S. military aid to Ukraine. But a new report reveals that former President Barack scumbag/liar-nObama withheld sending aid to several countries during his eight years in office — which blows a huge hole in scumbag/liar-Schiff’s talking points. scumbag/liar-nObama refused to send aid to nations such as Mexico, Ukraine, Pakistan, Phillippines, Egypt, and more. Last month, Tennessee Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn’s detailed list of the countries and amounts that scumbag/liar-nObama apparently denied. scumbag/liar-Schiff and Democrats still claim to this day that Trump should be removed from office for withholding aid to Ukraine. By that logic, shouldn’t scumbag/liar-nObama have also been impeached from office for doing the same with several more countries? Earlier this month, former Utah Republican Rep. Jason Chaffetz detailed how scumbag/liar-Schiff continues to spread egregious lies about Trump and said the California Democrat “must go.” Since he “continues to put out information that he knows is not true,” Chaffetz strongly implied that scumbag/liar-Schiff should have his security clearance taken away. Chaffetz makes a good point. If scumbag/liar-Schiff is going to spread deceit for political gain, he cannot be trusted with the kind of access to information that someone of his position would typically have. As Chaffetz pointed out: “He has stood in front of the United States Senate and talked about things that are not in the impeachment. I think he is a terrible embarrassment and somebody has got to, I hope, answer the question, ‘why do you have a security clearance?’” With all of this considered, it’s obvious why Chaffetz says scumbag/liar-Schiff should lose his security clearance and no longer serve as the chairman of the powerful House committee. scumbag/liar-Schiff has been busted countless times lying....
Islamists' Response to Peace Plan

{ gatestoneinstitute.org } ~ The Palestinian Authority, after rejecting US President Donald Trump's recently unveiled plan for Mideast peace, "Peace to Prosperity," as a "conspiracy" against Palestinians... is now trying to persuade the Israeli public that it is "still" interested in achieving peace with Israel. Earlier this month, PA President Mahmoud Abbas announced that he would cut all ties with Israel and the US, including security coordination, to protest the Trump plan, which he denounced as the "slap of the century." "We are informing you," Abbas told Arab foreign ministers during an emergency meeting in Cairo, "that there will be no relations with Israel and the US, including on security cooperation." Abbas has been making similar threats for the past three years -- probably the reason Palestinians have long stopped taking his threats seriously. Even journalists covering Palestinian affairs have ridiculed Abbas's repeated empty threats. "The last time Abbas 'cut security ties' with Israel in 2017," AFP reporter Joe Dyke tweeted, "the head of the Palestinian police later said that they had maintained 95 percent of their coordination, just didn't do it publicly." Notwithstanding Abbas's threats, on February 16, Abbas's spokesman, Nabil Abu Rudaineh, told Israeli journalists in Ramallah that security coordination with Israel would continue. He warned, however, that the security coordination between the Palestinians and Israel "would not continue forever." { jpost.com } ~ Israel has recognized initial signs that Iran is recalculating their trajectory in Syria, giving the Jewish State an opportunity to go from the defensive to the offensive... Defense Minister Naftali Bennett said on Tuesday. “I can announce that we are identifying initial signs of loosening and recalculation by Iran regarding it’s plans in Syria. We just started and we will increase. We will go from a defensive concept to an offensive concept - weakening, tiring and erasing the octopus’ head by weakening its tentacles,” Bennett said at the New Tech conference. “For us, Syria is not only a threat but also an opportunity. They are sending forces there to try to establish a presence and try to wear us down, but we can turn the downside into an advantage,” he continued. “We have superior intelligence and operational capabilities, and we are telling Iran clearly: Get out of Syria. You have nothing to look for there.” Israel has warned repeatedly about Iran’s nuclear ambitions as well as aspirations of regional hegemony. Jerusalem has admitted to hundreds of airstrikes as part of its “war-between-wars” campaign to prevent the transfer of advanced weapons to Hezbollah in Lebanon and the entrenchment of its forces in Syria where they could easily act against the Jewish state. Bennett also referred to ongoing demonstrations taking place across Iran as well as in Iraq and Lebanon. “The Iranian people are telling the Ayatollahs: ‘stop wasting our money and shedding our blood in needless adventures.’ The Iranian people have had enough,” he said, adding that “we in Israel are corresponding with this message. The ground is burning in Iran, the embers are not extinguished, they are glowing.” Last week the IDF released new details of it’s new multi-year plan which will include establishing a new Iran Command as one of the top priorities of Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Aviv Kochavi’s ‘Momentum’ multi-year plan which aims to obtain a considerable military advantage over Israel’s foes....

Why Did the FBI Drop the McCabe Case?
Thomas Gallatin: The Justice Department announced Friday that it was declining to prosecute former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe for lying to inspector general investigators over his unauthorized leak to the press regarding the FBI’s scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton email investigation back in 2016. In light of the DOJ’s aggressive prosecution and subsequent conviction of both former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn and former Trump campaign member George Papadopoulos for lying, the decision wafts the pungent odor of a politically based double standard.
As National Review’s Andrew McCarthy observes, “The FBI’s former deputy director, though he undeniably misled investigators, remains a commentator at CNN. In the meantime, Papadopoulos is a felon convicted and briefly imprisoned for misleading investigators, while Flynn and Stone are awaiting sentencing on their false-statements charges. That covers both tiers of our justice system.”
So, why did the DOJ make this decision? Well, it appears to have boiled down to a question of winnability. As unsatisfying as that answer may be, the most unsatisfying answer of all may be that we may never fully know why. That said, there are some indications as to why the DOJ made this decision, and it wasn’t necessarily because of some deep-state cover-up.
First, as former GOP Rep. Trey Gowdy noted, this decision was made regarding a narrow specific incident — McCabe’s lying about a press leak. Furthermore, the DOJ’s announcement does not signal that McCabe is completely out of the woods — not by a long shot. It may be that McCabe factors into prosecutor John Durham’s ongoing criminal investigation into the origins of the FBI’s Trump-Russia investigation. That investigation could reveal much more serious criminal actions than lying about an unauthorized press leak.
A second reason that may have factored into this decision was the DOJ’s recognition that winning a conviction against McCabe was far from a forgone conclusion. The likelihood of getting a conviction with a Washington jury pool in the current highly partisan environment is slim. And adding to this is Trump’s careless penchant for publicly calling for the prosecution of those he believes wronged him. Even if his assessment is accurate, it only serves to bolster any claims from McCabe’s defense that the case is a politically motivated prosecution. As McCarthy states, “If you want people held accountable for their crimes, you have to ensure their fundamental right to due process. When the government poisons the well, the bad guys reap the benefits.”
On a positive note, Attorney General William Barr has installed an outside prosecutor to review Flynn’s case. This is part of a larger effort by Barr; The New York Times reports as he recently “installed a handful of outside prosecutors to broadly review the handling of other politically sensitive national-security cases.” Like a cat tasked with clearing the barn of rats, Barr has set about his work with the utmost seriousness. Trump needs to trust him, let him do his work, and avoid throwing out ammunition for Democrats to use against him. ~The Patriot Post
