Dershowitz calls out House Dems in Trump's
Senate impeachment trial after
Bolton shock waves
By Gregg Re
{ } ~ Harvard Law School Professor Alan Dershowitz, delivering a spirited constitutional defense of President Trump at his Senate impeachment trial Monday night... flatly turned toward House impeachment managers and declared they had picked "dangerous" and "wrong" charges against the president -- noting that neither "abuse of power" nor "obstruction of Congress" was remotely close to an impeachable offense as the framers had intended. In a dramatic primetime moment, the liberal constitutional law scholar reiterated that although he voted for scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton, he could not find constitutional justification for the impeachment of a president for non-criminal conduct, or conduct that was not at least "akin" to defined criminal conduct. "I'm sorry, House managers, you just picked the wrong criteria. You picked the most dangerous possible criteria to serve as a precedent for how we supervise and oversee future presidents," Dershowitz told the House Democrats, including head House impeachment manager Rep. scumbag/liar-Adam Schiff, D-Calif. He said that "all future presidents who serve with opposing legislative majorities" now face the "realistic threat" of enduring "vague charges of abuse or obstruction," and added that a "long list" of presidents have previously been accused of "abuse of power" in various contexts without being formally impeached. The list included George Washington, who refused to turn over documents related to the Jay Treaty; John Adams, who signed and enforced the so-called "Alien and Sedition Acts"; Thomas Jefferson, who flat-out purchased Louisiana without any kind of congressional authorization whatosever; John Tyler, who notoriously used and abused the veto power; James Polk, who allegedly disregarded the Constitution and usurped the role of Congress; and Abraham Lincoln, who suspended habeas corpus during the Civil War. Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and others would also probably face impeachment using the Democrats' rules, Dershowitz said. "Abuse of power," he argued, has been a "promiscuously deployed" and "vague" term throughout history. It should remain a merely "political weapon" fit for "campaign rhetoric," Dershowitz said, as it has no standard definition nor meaningful constitutional relevance...
Something 'just magical'
about Bolton 'bombshell'
by ~ No one should have been surprised by the "bombshell" New York Times report based on anonymous sources of John Bolton's claim in a coming book... because it "follows an old playbook," talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh told his listeners Monday.  The Times report claimed Bolton asserts President Trump linked delivery of aid to Ukraine to an announcement about an investigation of loose lips liar-Joe Biden and his son, Hunter. Hunter Biden received $83,000 a month to be on the board of a corrupt Ukrainian natural gas company, Burisma, while his father's vice presidential portfolio included reform of Ukraine's energy industry. And loose lips liar-Joe Biden is on video boasting that he threatened Ukraine with the loss of $1 billion in American aid if the president didn't fire a prosecutor investigating Burisma. Rush Limbaugh said: "Notice the timing of this leak. This book has been in the vetting process for two to three weeks now — and, by the way, do you know who's vetting it at the National Security Council?" If you write a book like this and you’re part of the Security Council, National Security Council apparatus, you have to submit this to the National Security Council for vetting before it can be send to the publisher. They have to clear it to make sure no national security secrets or violations are being written about and published. Alexander Vindman’s brother, Yevgeny Vindman, is the guy vetting Bolton’s book!" Alexander Vindman is one of the Democrats' impeachment witnesses who objected to President Trump's Ukraine policy. Continued Limbaugh: "Isn’t it just magical that on the very day after the Trump defense team decimates the House managers' impeachment case, the very next day here comes this leak from the New York Times about what Trump told Bolton supposedly that he didn’t want to do? What remains amazing is the leak supposedly is that Trump told Bolton that he didn’t want to release any aid to Ukraine until Ukraine turned over him material related to investigations. "So Trump supposedly tells Bolton that he doesn’t want to release aid. But he did. The aid got released. It was more than Ukraine thought they were gonna get, and it included Javelin missiles, and Trump got nothing for it. There was no investigation! So we’ve got Bolton here saying that Trump supposedly… The leak is Bolton's book says Trump told him that he didn’t want to release aid. The leak cannot be that Trump didn’t release aid because the aid was released!" Limbaugh said the Democrats "making this case have always tried to make criminal what they claim were Trump’s desires or Trump’s thoughts or what he really intended or hoped to do." "And they have ignored the fact that all of these supposed criminal thoughts that Trump had never prevailed. Ukraine got their aid."
Ken Starr Accuses House Democrats Of
Delivering Impeachment Articles ‘Dripping
With Process Violations’
{ } ~ Ken Starr took the Senate floor Monday and ripped into House Democrats for turning over articles of impeachment that he claimed were “dripping with process violations.”... Starr, who once led the prosecution against former President scumbag/liar-Bill Clinton, delivered his remarks in defense of President Donald Trump as his impeachment trial continued in the Senate. Starr made several comparisons to prior impeachments, criticizing the House for moving forward despite having no Republican support whatsoever. He then took aim at the House for changing the process in a lopsided fashion. “But then again, the House members took no oath to be impartial,” Starr said. “The Constitution didn’t require them to say by oath or affirmation like an impartial justice. They were oathless. They could toss out their own rule book. Raw power.” Starr went on to argue that the articles of impeachment against President Trump were indicative of a “runaway House” that had run from its own processes and even the Constitution in order to reach a desired conclusion. Instead, he suggested, they provided the Senate with an “exit ramp,” adding, “House Democrats chose to conduct an unprecedented process in this case, and they were warned at every turn, don’t do it, don’t do it that way.” “The president is being denied the basic rights that have been afforded to every single accused president in the history of the republic, even to the racist Andrew Johnson, seeking to undo Mr. Lincoln’s great legacy. He got those rights, but not here,” Starr continued. “Due Process could have been honored. Basic rights could have been honored. The House rules, the House’s traditions could have been honored, but what is done is done. These two articles come before this court, this high court of impeachment, dripping with fundamental process violations.”...
Ratcliffe, Meadows, Stefanik, Jordan and
Johnson Deconstruct the House
Bolton Maneuver
by sundance
{  } ~ The “House Bolton Maneuver” was a pre-planned operation to use a timed NSC ‘resistance’ leak to frame a new demand for testimony in the Senate... From the beginning the House intentionally constructed an impeachment process to avoid the judicial branch because the construction of the articles was dependent on an unconstitutional creation: impeachment by decree of the Speaker. As a result of their approach, the House fully intended to usurp their lack of judicial subpoena authority by placing political pressure on the Senate to call the trial witnesses they knew were unattainable due to separation of powers within the constitutional process. By design the House plan puts the burden of compulsory witness testimony upon the Senate because the House refused to create their own authority with a vote to initiate the impeachment process. The House effort was and is an end-run around the constitutional outline for impeachment. This was not a flaw; it was a feature of the House creation.
Supreme Court Allows President Trump to
Enforce “Public Charge” Rule For Immigration
by sundance
{ } ~ Today the Supreme Court granted the Trump administration’s request to continue enforcement of the “public charge” rule on immigration... The SCOTUS decision allows the government to enforce a provision of federal immigration law banning non-citizens from receiving a green card if the government believes the applicant is likely to become a “public charge” – or reliant on government assistance. […] The Monday order followed a 5-4 split vote that divided the court’s conservatives and liberals. At issue is the administration’s rule issued in August that would restrict immigrants entering the United States if the government believes they will rely on public assistance, such as housing or health care benefits. Lower federal courts had blocked the policy from being implemented while the issue is being litigated. The court’s liberal justices, Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Stephen Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan, would have blocked the regulation’s enforcement. After losing at the lower courts, the Justice Department asked the high court to intervene, allowing temporary enforcement until the issue is resolved on the merits. The states of Connecticut, Vermont, and New York, as well as New York City and immigrant rights groups had brought the suit...
Jersey Pride – Thousands of Trump Supporters Camp Out in New Jersey Days
Before Tuesday Rally
by sundance
{ } ~ Jumpin’ ju-ju bones, an RSBN twitter video from New Jersey tonight shows thousands of Trump supporters, glorious Deplorables, lined-up and camping out overnight in Wildwood... a full day ahead of the Tuesday rally at the Wildwoods Convention Center. According to recent reporting there has been over 150,000 RSVP’s for the rally tomorrow. Incredible. Way to go New Jersey! Talk about setting the bar high. First, here’s a video ground report from 1:00pm today: This is a short film I made of the Trump Campaign rally in Wildwood, NJ. People started arriving in line for the rally at 6pm Sunday the 26th. I filmed this video around 1pm on Monday the 27th and they still had to wait until 3pm on Tuesday the 28th before they could start letting them into the Wildwood convention center. That’s dedication. Welcome to Wildwood, NJ. Mr. President!
Impeachment Trial Days 4 & 5: Bolton Leak,
Dem Insults, Trump's Defense
Thomas Gallatin:  Once again, the timing of another “bombshell” revelation has the all-too-familiar odor of the deep state. On Sunday, The New York Times published “just received” leaked excerpts from a soon-to-be-published book by former National Security Advisor John Bolton, in which Bolton alleges that President Donald Trump’s motive for freezing aide to Ukraine was to spur investigations into loose lips liar-Joe and Hunter Biden. So, just as Trump’s legal team is poised to present its arguments against the Democrats’ vacuous impeachment charade, and just before the Senate considers calling additional witnesses, the Leftmedia obtains and releases what a presumed Bolton testimony would be.

Coincidence? We think not. What are the chances the Times sat on this nugget for weeks?

Bolton’s team has laid the blame for the leak on the National Security Council, explaining that he had sent his manuscript to the NSC to ensure it contained no classified information. His team added that Bolton was assured by the NSC that none of the book’s contents would be disclosed to anyone.

Trump, however, isn’t buying that explanation. He complained that he “NEVER told John Bolton that the aid to Ukraine was tied to investigations into Democrats, including the Bidens” and that the leak was simply Bolton’s effort to “sell a book.”

Bolton tendered his resignation (or was fired) last September. While no specific reason was given by either party for Bolton’s sudden exit, it wasn’t that surprising given that Trump and Bolton had never really seen eye to eye on foreign policy. Considering both men’s large egos, it may have boiled down to too many chefs in the kitchen. How much the apparent disagreement over Ukraine contributed to Bolton’s exit is unknown, but Democrats and the Leftmedia are playing it up as the reason he left — to avoid getting caught up in a scandal.

Either way, as Mark Alexander says, “Bolton’s allegation re-warms the original ‘quid pro quo’ claim, which was the same thing then-VP loose lips liar-Biden threatened in order to get the Ukrainian prosecutor fired — a prosecutor who was in position to look into Hunter Biden. Remember how proudly loose lips liar-Biden mentioned his threat to drop Ukraine’s debt rating?”

With this latest Leftmedia “bombshell” report, the real story is not what Bolton supposedly alleges, as all of this was already known. The real scandal here is the orchestrated timing in which this piece of information “fell” into the Times’s lap. You might even say the Leftmedia is interfering in an election.

In other trial news…

House Democrats offered their final arguments for removing Trump last Friday, with both scumbag/liar-Adam Schiff and scumbag liar-Jerry Nadler leveling such over-the-top and baseless accusations that it left many wondering if they hadn’t just blown up any possibility of getting witnesses called. scumbag/liar-Schiff claimed that Senate Republicans were warned by party leadership that if they voted to convict Trump they’d have their “head on a pike.” His hyperbolic claim even had rino-Lisa Murkowski, one of the four moderate Senate Republican votes Democrats need, responding, “He lost me there.”  scumbag liar-Nadler accused Trump of being a dictator, saying, “He wants to be all-powerful. He does not have to respect the Congress — he does not have to respect the representatives of the people. Only his will goes. He is a dictator. This must not stand. That is another reason he must be moved from office.” The statement was so obviously ridiculous that even Leftmedia personalities were facepalming. Huffington Post reporter Igor Bobic sarcastically observed, “Exactly what GOP senators want to hear,” while CNN’s Kim Priestap pointed out, “Dictators don’t allow political critics to call them dictators from the floor of the Senate, let alone on national TV.”

So, do scumbag/liar-Schiff and scumbag liar-Nadler really not realize that insulting the intelligence and character of those whose votes they’ll need for getting witnesses is not a winsome strategy? Indeed they do. In fact, scumbag/liar-Schiff and scumbag liar-Nadler knew exactly what they were doing and intended it. Their ultimate objective is not to get witnesses but to paint Senate Republicans as so beholden to Trump that they will reject any “reasonable” request from Democrats for a fair trial. By insulting Republicans, scumbag/liar-Schiff and scumbag liar-Nadler aim to get them to dig in against Democrats, while the Leftmedia plays up orchestrated leaks of purportedly damaging information that serves to further the narrative against Republicans.

And yet, right on cue, Sen. rino-Mitt Romney says, “I think it’s increasingly likely that other Republicans will join those of us who think we should hear from John Bolton.” Democrats have a play either way.

Finally, the Democrats are engaged in this deceptive gamesmanship because they know they have no evidence or facts to back up their demands for Trump’s removal. On Saturday, Trump’s defense team made opening remarks and laid out a six-point case that effectively refuted the Democrats’ case for impeachment. Today, Trump’s legal team continues his defense.   ~The Patriot Post

Obama Lies Again: – Ignores That The Year After Signing The Stimulus More Than (4) Million Jobs Were Lost

Former President Obama, the only President in US history who had his FBI and other Intel agencies spy on the opposition party candidate, claims that he created the great economy that Americans are enjoying today. The only thing Obama created was debt and massive job losses with his horrible economic recovery.

Yesterday the former President tweeted an effort to take credit for President Trump’s successful economy:

Joe Hoft@joehoft

Of course another @BarackObama lie. He can’t open his mouth without lying. 11 years ago the US lost (4.3) million jobs over the next 12 months. Horrible liar.

Barack Obama  @BarackObama

Eleven years ago today, near the bottom of the worst recession in generations, I signed the Recovery Act, paving the way for more than a decade of economic growth and the longest streak of job creation in American history.

President Obama’s policies were a disgrace and a failure. He doubled the national debt in spite of zero interest rates from the Fed. His recovery was the worst in US history.

Also, Obama’s assertion is just plain false. The ‘Stimulus’ was passed in February 2009 right after Obama took over the Presidency. He promised to not pass any bills for at least a week to allow for the bills to be read by the people but lied as soon as he was sworn in. The Stimulus was hundreds and hundreds of pages of government handouts to Democrat districts and it was close to $1 million. This was not what America needed and it led to the Tea Party.

Far-left Wikipedia has this to say about the Stimulus:

Note that in his infinite wisdom, NYT economist Paul Krugman is credited with arguing that “the stimulus was far smaller than the economic crisis warranted”. (He also said the markets would crash and burn if President Trump was elected President.)

The data shows that the 12 months after Obama’s stimulus, the US lost 4.3 million jobs:

In Obama’s first three years he netted a loss of 1.5 million jobs compared to President Trump who has added more than 6.7 million jobs.

When it comes to the economy, the billionaire schools the community organizer every time.
