Here's what happens if Palm Beach
County can't count its votes by Thursday

{washingtonexaminer.com} ~ If Florida's Palm Beach County can't recount its votes in three statewide races by Thursday, Florida will likely move on to a final count without it... All of Florida's 67 counties are re-counting their votes in the races for Senate, governor, and agriculture commissioner, and must report new totals by 3 p.m. Thursday. Palm Beach County has said it won't be able to finish by then. “I will tell you that the secretary and the legislature and the governor have been extremely aware that with the election equipment we have, the potential of conducting all of these is impossible,” Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Susan Bucher told the Palm Beach Post. “We have asked the secretary if there was any consideration to extend the deadline and he said ‘no.’”If that happens, Palm Beach County will have to use the vote counts submitted to the Florida secretary of state on Saturday, according to Florida law.  Michael Barnett, chairman of the Palm Beach County GOP, told CNN that if the county misses the upcoming deadline, it would be “good news for Republicans because our candidates are ahead." “If they’re not able to meet the deadline, the secretary of state of Florida may go ahead and certify the elections for our candidates,” Barnett told CNN. “In that case, you can bet your butt there will be lawsuits filed everywhere.”... if these counties can't get their act together like the rest of the counties then they better fix this issue for the next election.

Massive Missile Attack on Israel after Qatar Funds Hamas

{gatestoneinstitute.org} ~ Last week, as efforts were underway to achieve a new truce between Hamas and Israel, this author asked a legitimate and straightforward question... Can Hamas be trusted? The conclusion was that a real truce between Israel and Hamas can be achieved only after the Palestinian jihadi terrorists are removed from power, and not rewarded for violence and threats. Days later, Hamas itself provided proof as to why it cannot be trusted with any deal, including a truce. Since yesterday, Hamas and its allies in the Gaza Strip have been firing hundreds of rockets into Israel. The current barrage began hours after Hamas terrorists attacked Israeli commandos inside the Gaza Strip, killing an Israeli officer and moderately wounding a soldier. In response, the Israeli army killed seven terrorists, including a top Hamas military commander -- Sheikh Nur Baraka. The Israeli commando unit was not inside the Gaza Strip to kill or kidnap anyone. They were there as part of a routine covert operation to foil terrorist attacks by Hamas and other Palestinian terror groups. The commandos, all the same, were attacked by Hamas terrorists who did try to kill or kidnap some of them. The soldiers of the elite Israeli unit managed to return to Israel under the cover of Israeli airstrikes called in to aid their exfiltration...
New political realities test sick-Pulosi,
Democrats in lame-duck session

{washingtontimes.com} ~ The House Democratic leader asked her lawmakers Monday to search for “common ground” with Republicans over the next few weeks... as they return to Capitol Hill for a lame-duck session of Congress, facing new political realities and a different set of urgent priorities. Rep. sick-Nancy Pulosi of California, in line to become House speaker in the new Congress next year, signaled Democrats will pick their battles as they look to fulfill the campaign promises they made. “In the next few weeks, we need to be unified, find common ground with Republicans in our legislative engagements, but stand our ground when we must,” she said. There are plenty of tests already lined up. When lawmakers fled town more than a month ago to hit the campaign trail, Jeff Sessions was still the attorney general, the U.S. relationship with Saudi Arabia was intact, and the U.S. was still working on a final trade deal with Mexico and Canada. Now Mr. Sessions has been ousted, leaving Congress scurrying to try to find ways to protect the ongoing 2016 campaign Russia probe from being ended by his successor, acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker. This getting along will not happen.

Trump Aides Expect Whitaker to
‘Rein In’ dirty cop-Mueller Investigation

{thepoliticalinsider.com} ~ Reports and statements from White House aides seem to indicate the appointment of Matthew Whitaker as acting Attorney General was designed... to “rein in” the dirty cop-Mueller investigation. A New York Times column describes Whitaker as an “attack dog against the special counsel” with a history of insisting there is no evidence of collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign. One presidential adviser described his upcoming role as one in which he is to limit the fallout from the investigation. He has also, according to the report, been tasked with preventing any subpoena of President Trump. Washington Post seems to agree. Democrats may be up in arms over an acting AG appointed to ‘rein in’ the dirty cop-Mueller probe, but the fact is it was going to be reined in regardless. Left-leaning Politico reported that a myriad of defense lawyers working on the case and former government officials with experience handling investigations have indicated the ‘resistance’ party better prepare for disappointment...

Well, Now We Know Why scumbag-Comey
Let scumbag/liar-Hillary Off the Hook

{patriotnewsdaily.com} ~ How about that. After two and a half long years, we are finally closer to understanding why Mr. Upstanding Boy Scout of the FBI, scumbag-James Comey... thought it would be in his best interest to stand up in front of the country, enumerate scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton’s many crimes, and then let her off the hook scot-free. In the end, it may have had nothing at all to do with Barack scumbag/liar-nObama, the 2016 election, or even that suspicious meeting Attorney General Loretta Lynch had with scumbag/liar-Bill Clinton on an Arizona tarmac. Ultimately, scumbag-Comey’s decision to decline a prosecution recommendation in scumbag/liar-Hillary’s case may have had less to do with political shenanigans and more to do with scumbag-Comey covering for his own misdeeds. According to the New York Post, scumbag-Comey used his personal Gmail account hundreds of times to discuss government business. In at least seven cases, he discussed information so sensitive that they could not be released publicly by the Justice Department. While the Freedom of Information request that retrieved the emails did not find that scumbag-Comey ever used his personal email account to send or receive classified material, the fact that he was carelessly discussing sensitive information may give us a good indication as to why he was unwilling to enforce the law in scumbag/liar-Clinton’s case. The emails came to light thanks to the Cause of Action Institute, a conservative watchdog group that demanded access to any of scumbag-Comey’s Gmail messages that might relate to his work for the FBI. Expecting perhaps a limited number of such messages given the need to preserve privacy, the group was stunned when the government produced more than 1,200 emails that met the criteria. More than 300 messages were withheld due to agency privilege and/or personal privacy issues, but at least seven messages were withheld because they “disclose techniques and procedures for law enforcement investigations or prosecutions.”...

by Harold Hutchison:  The intelligence disaster that began to unfold years ago, when China compromised a CIA communications program, has taken some more turns. For instance, according to The Federalist’s Tony Daniel, the number of sources lost has risen to around 70, as opposed to a dozen as originally reported. And the scope has widened to include not only Communist China but also the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The timeframe expands as well, going back to 2006. Daniel noted that a CIA employee and later contractor raised concerns that agents were at risk of being compromised via this communications system. Those warnings were ignored, and, worse, the contractor found himself the target of bureaucratic retaliation.
The contractor’s warnings proved prescient when Iranian intelligence initially broke into the system. The Iranians later put out a press release celebrating the feat, claiming that a number of sources for American intelligence had been identified (BBC puts the number at 42). Worse, though, are the questions surrounding this catastrophe.
Part of this, according to Yahoo News, was the fact that the system, which was successful in its initial application for use against terrorists and insurgents, was expanded to other adversaries. This included China and Iran, which are difficult places for the CIA to operate due to the repressive nature of the regimes and because a typical American will tend to stand out more there. Whatever the reason for its use, the system, while adequate in its initial role, was as outclassed against Iran and China as a Little League team facing the Boston Red Sox.
Accountability within the agency will be hampered due to civil-service protections, but it must happen, and it must include those on whose watch this happened. The CIA wasn’t a favorite agency of the scumbag/liar-nObama administration, during which time a legal enhanced interrogation program was vilified despite the fact that it clearly did work and saved lives. Later, the agency had its hands tied by Democrats, with the help of the late Sen. John McCain. Even when President Donald Trump took office, the Left smeared his choice for director, Gina Haspel, who was involved in running the black sites that kept dangerous terrorists on ice. In short, it’s no surprise that the scumbag/liar-nObama years were a disastrous period for these vital assets.
Under Trump, there’s a chance to fix this, if the distrust from the obvious misuse of intelligence agencies in the 2016 campaign can be overcome. Sadly, this may be more difficult now, as a new Democrat-controlled House will likely use the agency as political bodyguards for the Deep State bureaucrats who have misused their positions for partisan purposes.
scumbag/liar-nObama may now be beyond the accountability of voters, but perhaps some intrepid journalist could ask him about this. And perhaps the Senate and House Intelligence Committees could hold serious hearings on this matter instead of launching political witch-hunts.
