{washingtonexaminer.com} ~ Martha McSally, R-Ariz., who unsuccessfully ran against Rep. Kyrsten Sinema for Senate, may have another shot at becoming a senator in the near future... Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has had conversations with Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey about selecting McSally to replace Sen. Jon Kyl, who was tapped by Ducey after Sen. rino-John McCain’s death this summer. But Kyl may not fulfill the remainder of his term through 2020, meaning that Ducey could appoint a replacement that would serve until 2020. A special election would then be held in 2020 to determine who would hold the seat through 2022. According to CNN, Kyl has determined whether he will remain in the Senate or not, but has not yet disclosed his decision. Meanwhile, McConnell and other Republican figures are advocating for McSally to replace Kyl if he departs the Senate. Kyl praised McSally last week during an interview with CNN, saying, "I regret that she didn't make it in her election." Years of cuts in defense spending, the atrophying of our forces strained by seventeen years of war, President Trump’s sudden decision to cut Pentagon spending willy-nilly, and the Democrats’ taking control of the House has created a perfect political storm that will batter the Pentagon and enormously damage our national security. Time and again, President Trump has demanded that the military be rebuilt to be the biggest, baddest actor on the planet. The 2019 Pentagon budget was increased, at Trump’s request, by an amount too small to do more than just begin the effort to repair the damage done by eight years of scumbag/liar-nObama’s cuts and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. And yet, on October 17, Trump announced that the Defense Department budget for fiscal year 2020 would be $700 billion, a reduction of $16 billion from FY 2019, $33 billion less than the planned budget for FY 2020. Even if the Pentagon were spending money the right way — which it isn’t, as we’ll see in a minute — Trump’s unexpected decision will be severely worsened by the Democrats’ takeover of the House....

As the Central American migration horde begins to bottleneck within northern Mexico, it is likely President-elect Lopez-Obrador is beginning to evaluate those prior consequences. President Trump took pro-active steps to harden the U.S. border through the deployment of U.S. military, and specifically through Corps of Engineers working in concert with U.S. Customs and Border Patrol to make illegal entry into the U.S. far more difficult. As an outcome, the mass influx of Central American travelers is backing-up in Tijuana Mexico; and this mass collection of people -mostly military aged males- will almost certainly continue for the next six months. It did not take long for Tijuana Mayor Juan Manuel Gastelum to see the impact to his town. Local protests began within days of the first several thousand arriving. Things will likely not end well unless active steps are taken soon to turn around the migrants. {spectator.org} ~ What do scumbag-Al Gore, scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton, Stacey Abrams, and scumbag-Bill Nelson have in common?... Each asked the voters for important positions of leadership and promptly proved themselves unworthy of those offices when the answer was “No.” It isn’t necessary, of course, to revisit scumbag-Gore’s reluctant acceptance of reality or scumbag/liar-Clinton’s querulous hypocrisy. The tawdry details of those episodes are well known. But the long-term harm they wrought on the republic merits consideration. The extent of that damage was clearly demonstrated Friday, when Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams finally admitted that the laws of mathematics could not be overcome by frivolous lawsuits. The Friday non-concession speech Abrams inflicted on the citizens of Georgia was easily one of the most disgraceful political performances of the century thus far. She grudgingly acknowledged that Brian Kemp will be the Peach State’s next governor, but went on to accuse him — without evidence — of voter suppression during his tenure as secretary of state. Even worse, her bitter diatribe included a promise to file additional lawsuits in order to “pursue accountability in Georgia’s elections and integrity in the process of maintaining our voting rolls.” Abrams pledged to fight mythical “mismanagement of this election and to protect future elections from unconstitutional actions.” None of these charges have any basis in fact. In reality, the worst “crime” she accused Kemp of committing — the removal of dormant registrations from the voter rolls — has already been ruled constitutional by the Supreme Court. The real problem is no more complicated than the inability of Abrams to garner enough votes to win the election. It was obvious that the Democrat’s bid was a lost cause on Election Day. Kemp’s lead was, as Mark Steyn phrases it, “beyond the margin of lawyer.” But Abrams was still in denial when asked by a Sunday morning talking head, “Is he the legitimate governor-elect of Georgia?” Her response was utterly irresponsible. The Daily Caller reports: The law, as it stands, says that he received an adequate number of votes to become the governor of Georgia. And I acknowledge the law as it stands. I am a lawyer by training and I have taken the constitutional oath to uphold the law.… What you are looking for me to say is that there was no compromise of our democracy and there should be some political compromise in the language I use and that’s not right. What’s not right is saying that something was done properly when it was not....

Referring to Laden and his former compound in Abbottabad, Trump in an interview to Fox News said “You know, living – think of this – living in Pakistan, beautifully in Pakistan in what I guess they considered a nice mansion, I don’t know, I’ve seen nicer.”The compound was demolished shortly after US Naval Special Warfare Development Group forces, in a daring helicopter raid, killed Laden there in 2011. “But living in Pakistan right next to the military academy, everybody in Pakistan knew he was there,” Trump added. “And we give Pakistan $1.3 billion a year. … Laden lived in Pakistan, we’re supporting Pakistan, we’re giving them $1.3 billion a year – which we don’t give them anymore, by the way, I ended it because they don’t do anything for us, they don’t do a damn thing for us,” he said. The ties between the two countries strained after Trump, while announcing his Afghanistan and South Asia policy in August last year, hit out at Pakistan for providing safe havens to “agents of chaos” that kill Americans in Afghanistan and warned Islamabad that it has “much to lose” by harbouring terrorists....
Trump Fires Shot at dirty cop-Mueller: “Gone Absolutely Nuts!”
{restoreamericanglory.com} ~ A week after President Trump relieved Attorney General Jeff Sessions of his duties, he had the dirty cop-Mueller investigation in his sights on social media... blasting the inquiry as having “gone absolutely nuts” in the year and a half since its creation. “The inner workings of the dirty cop-Mueller investigation are a total mess,” the president wrote on Thursday. “They have found no collusion and have gone absolutely nuts. They are screaming and shouting at people, horribly threatening them to come up with the answers they want. They are a disgrace to our Nation and don’t care how many lives they ruin.” Trump followed that up with a second tweet focusing specifically on the special counsel himself. “These are Angry People, including the highly conflicted dirty cop-Bob Mueller, who worked for scumbag/liar-nObama for 8 years. They won’t even look at all of the bad acts and crimes on the other side,” he said. “A TOTAL WITCH HUNT LIKE NO OTHER IN AMERICAN HISTORY!” It’s not clear what inspired Trump’s latest broadside attack on the special counsel; it has been several weeks since the president last mentioned the witch hunt on social media. One possible culprit: Trump has reportedly been working with his lawyers on completing a list of written questions from dirty cop-Mueller. It’s possible that simply going over the questions riled his anger over what seems to be an unending investigation into his 2016 campaign...

In Iceland, the prospect of people with Down syndrome becoming extinct is not hypothetical. From 2004 to 2013, fewer than four babies with the disorder were born each year, according to the campaign. The abortion rate there for babies with Down syndrome is effectively 100 percent.
