{ thefederalist.com } ~ When President Trump tweeted on Sunday that Rep. scumbag/liar-Adam Schiff, D-Calif., was a “CORRUPT POLITICIAN” who “has not paid the price, yet, for what he has done to our Country!”... the media and Democrats loudly protested, as they do, that this was a threat. “scumnag/liar-Schiff ‘has not paid the price’ for impeachment, Trump says in what appears to be veiled threat,” said a Washington Post headline. “scumbag/liar-Schiff, Calling Trump ‘Wrathful and Vindictive,’ Sees Tweet as a Threat” The New York Times headlined. “Trump makes ‘threat’ against Rep. scumbag/liar-Adam Schiff,” was the New York Daily News headline. “scumbag/liar-Adam Schiff: Trump Saying I Should Pay a Price Is ‘Intended to Be’ a Threat,” headlined The Daily Beast. “Trump tweet was ‘threat’ against scumbag/liar-Adam Schiff, Democrats say,” went the story in USA Today.What a ludicrous spin that Democrats and the media pushed in lockstep. When Speaker of the House liar-Nancy Pelosi said Republicans would “pay a price” for not acquiescing to her demands regarding a Senate impeachment trial, none of these reporters or outlets claimed she was threatening them. What price, political or otherwise, has scumbag/liar-Schiff paid for falsely claiming for years that he had evidence that Trump was a traitor who had colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election? scumbag/liar-Schiff had hundreds of television, radio, and public appearances during the Russia collusion hoax, during which time he used his status as the ranking member on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence to lie to Americans about whether the Russia collusion story was true. Day after day, week after week, month after month, he fed information to a compliant media about how this collusion was real. When Robert Mueller ended his expansive, multi-year investigation into the question, he didn’t find a single American who had colluded with Russia, not to mention a single Trump campaign affiliate, not to mention Trump. scumbag/liar-Schiff never apologized for his lies. Why Republicans Won’t Desert Trump

{ spectator.org } ~ The Democrats are clearly frustrated by their failure to convince congressional Republicans that President Trump has committed any act approaching an impeachable offense... This was made plain when House managers scumbag/liar-Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and scumbag liar-Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) resorted to the bizarre and self-defeating tactic of insulting the integrity of the very Senators who will ultimately decide the President’s fate. The Democrats obviously believed their relentless attacks on all things Trump, combined with impeachment, would eventually cause Republicans to abandon him just as they did President Nixon in 1974. Instead, their three-year smear campaign has only strengthened the President’s support among Republicans in both houses of Congress. Why? The Democratic case for Trump’s conviction is so flaccid that it hasn’t persuaded the voters upon whom the GOP relies to win elections. FiveThirtyEight reports that a mere 8.4 percent of Republicans and only 41.8 percent of Independents support Trump’s removal. Consequently, the President’s support among congressional Republicans shouldn’t be difficult to understand. Yet an explanation continues to elude not only the Democrats but the establishment media, which has churned out countless “think pieces” in a uniformly unsuccessful attempt to solve the conundrum. One of the more amusing theories is that the United States has somehow stopped producing statesmen with the moral courage to speak truth to power. A recent Politico essay by Garrett M. Graff suggests that President Nixon’s downfall may not have been accomplished but for the courage of Republican Senator Barry Goldwater, who went to Nixon in August of 1974 and demanded that he resign. Graff then asks, “Is there even a figure in the GOP left today to carry such a message to a White House under siege?” The irony of reading this portrayal of Goldwater in a publication like Politico will not be lost on conservatives who know how the press savaged him in 1964 when he ran against Democratic President Lyndon Johnson. Indeed, many of the dirty tricks that President Trump has endured were road-tested on Goldwater, including the claim that he was clinically insane. Another ludicrous explanation for the refusal of Republicans to run for the tall grass is that Trump is an iron-fisted tyrant who rules his party through intimidation and threats. Lead House manager scumbag/liar-Adam Schiff was unwise enough to refer to this nonsense during his closing remarks to the Senate Friday night: “CBS News reported last night that a Trump confidant said that key senators were warned, ‘Vote against the president and your head will be on a pike.’ I don’t know if that’s true.” A similar take was offered by George Conway and Reed Galen at NBC’s hilariously titled THINK. They assure their readers that Trump controls the Republicans by virtue of raw fear and that GOP Senators cringe beneath his sneer of cold command....

The State Department's concession to Congress that it would commit to halting financial aid to Lebanon if U.S. taxpayer dollars go to Hezbollah is now being brought to the forefront. That guarantee from the State Department is fueling a growing push to freeze all aid in light of Hezbollah's unprecedented takeover of the Lebanese government, sources confirmed. Sen. Ted Cruz (R., Texas), who has led a battle on Capitol Hill against unconditional assistance to Lebanon, recently wrenched promises from the administration to halt the aid if it is shown Hezbollah is the beneficiary, according to U.S. officials familiar with the matter. Internal administration battles over both economic and military assistance recently spilled into the public. The administration released hundreds of millions of dollars to Lebanon in late December over the objections of Trump loyalists in the National Security Council and State Department, who feared the money is directly aiding Hezbollah and its allies embedded in the Lebanese government, sources confirmed. These battles were followed by previously unreported jostling in Beirut and Washington, D.C., over the future of such policies, which opponents say will only embolden Hezbollah and its Iranian benefactors in the region. David Hale, the State Department's undersecretary of state for political affairs, drew a red line in recent meetings with Lebanese officials, telling them the Trump administration would deny aid to any Lebanese government controlled by Hezbollah, according to Lebanese media reports....

While better suited for a Robert Ludlum novel, it played out in real time over the past four years. Stars of the drama include familiar names such as scumbag-James Comey, scumbag-James Clapper, scumbag/commie-John Brennan, and Andrew McCabe. Supporting actors played an unwitting role, namely Carter Page and George Papadopoulos. The victim was then candidate Donald Trump. Heroes of the saga include Attorney General William Barr, U.S. Attorney John Durham, and a mysterious group simply called Q. The plot was simple. The scumbag/liar-nObama administration, in 2016 and before, wanted to preordain the 2016 electoral outcome. What better way to do this than to spy on the rival presidential campaign? Since spying is illegal, a pretense was needed. That’s where the Steele Dossier came in. The DNC, the scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton campaign, and top scumbag/liar-nObama administration officials colluded with multiple foreign governments to fabricate opposition research on the Trump campaign alleging treasonous activities. This allowed the FBI to obtain a FISA warrant to spy on Trump campaign advisor Carter Page, and likely others as well. The scumbag/liar-nObama administration colluded with foreign governments to influence an election. How ironic that this is exactly what President Trump was impeached for, and why he is a “dictator” and an “existential threat to democracy”. Can you say projection?The FISA court granted a Title 1 FISA warrant against Page, reserved for those accused of being “an agent of a foreign power,” one who is “knowingly engaging in clandestine intelligence activities.” Yet Page was never arrested or indicted for his activities. The reality is that he was a CIA asset “engaged in clandestine intelligence activities” not for Russia, but for America, and this minor bit of information was deliberately omitted from his FISA warrant application and three renewals. The Barr DOJ has been pulling hard enough on this thread that after four years of FBI deceit and abuse of power, the Trump Russia collusion tapestry is unraveling before our very eyes. { americanthinker.com } ~ “Evidence and witnesses!” is the constant refrain from the House impeachment managers like Rep. scumbag/liar-Adam “Shifty” Schiff and Rep. scumbag liar-Jerry “Jabba” Nadler even as scumbag/liar-Schiff had hidden evidence in the form of the transcript... for his star-chamber interview with ICIG Michael Atkinson and block witness in the person of himself and the Ukraine phone call whistleblower. The hypocrisy of it all is underscored by the fact that by hiding the whistleblower and the details of his initial contacts with scumbag/lioar-Schiff and the ICIG, scumbag/liar-Schiff and the House managers are denying President Trump a basic constitutional right -- the right to confront one’s accuser. Why the President’s Senate defenders have not hammered this point home is a mystery. On the January 26 edition of “Sunday Morning Futures” With Matia Bartiromo on Fox News, Rep. John Ratcliffe brought up again this continuing scumbag/liar-Schiff cover-up he has mentioned many times only to be ignored by the media who accept scumbag/liar-Schiff’s fictitious mantra that because of all the other “overwhelming” evidence the whistleblower and his testimony are no longer needed. As noted by PJMedia: During the open hearings in the Impeachment Inquisition, Representative John Ratcliffe asked -- several times -- for the release of the closed-interview transcripts with Intelligence Community Inspector General Michael Atkinson. His request was refused: Representative scumbag/liar-Adam Schiff, the current chair of the House Special Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) had classified the transcript SECRET. Now, with impeachment in the Senate for trial, scumbag/liar-Schiff is still hiding this crucial piece of, dare we say it, evidence. The question is, why? The reason is that the ICIG interview exposes scumbag/liar-Schiff’s early contacts with the whistleblower which could be classified as witness tampering. It exposes scumbag/liar-Adam Schiff as a fact witness who should be the first witness called in any Senate witness testimony. It exposes the weakness of the whistleblowers claims and underscores why he should also be called as a witness. Without the whistleblower we aren’t having this conversation and the Senate is not having an impeachment trial. The whistleblower’s name is Eric Ciaramella. We know because scumbag/liar-Adam Schiff told us, at least not intentionally. In a major goof-up, scumbag/liar-Schiff forgot to redact the name of the whistleblower -- Eric Ciaramella -- as noted by Gateway Pundit -- in a posted PDF of the transcript of Ambassador Bill Taylor’s testimony. Since then his story has been revealed in spite of efforts by the deep state to conceal it....

Abbas, who was elected to succeed Yasser Arafat in January 2005, has since avoided holding a Palestinian presidential election, each time using a different excuse. While in the past he used to blame his rivals in Hamas for the failure to hold a new election, Abbas is now trying to hold Israel responsible. His attempt seems to be supported by some Europeans. Abbas's four-year tenure ended in January 2009. Two years earlier, Hamas had violently seized control of the Gaza Strip, by ousting Abbas's Palestinian Authority (PA) regime and throwing some of his loyalists from the top floors of tall buildings. Back then, Abbas's excuse may have sounded convincing: he and his senior PA officials argued that there was no chance Hamas would allow a free election in the Gaza Strip. Abbas at first claimed that he was eager to hold the presidential election on time. In October 2009, Abbas announced that he would issue a presidential decree to hold the election before January 25, 2010. After meeting then Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak in Cairo, Abbas told reporters that the door has not yet been closed to reconciliation between his ruling Fatah faction and Hamas. Abbas, however, has used his dispute with Hamas to avoid holding an election for the Palestinian parliament -- the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC). The last parliamentary election, in 2006, resulted in a huge Hamas victory. When a PLC election was supposed to take place after that, in January 2010, the rivalry between Abbas and Hamas prevented the vote. The Palestinians have, in fact, been without a functioning parliament since Hamas's violent takeover of the Gaza Strip in 2007. Trump Becomes First President to Attend March for Life
Political Editors: President Donald Trump today became the first sitting president to attend and speak at the annual March for Life rally. Over its 47-year history, no Republican president (and obviously no Democrat) has made an appearance at the nation’s largest pro-life rally. Though George W. Bush and Ronald Reagan did offer brief supportive remarks via phone and satellite to the marchers, they always maintained a degree of separation.
But Trump is unlike any previous Republican and is most in his element when speaking to a massive rally. While Trump’s checkered personal history and his past support of abortion cause some to question his commitment, his impressive presidential actions in support of life simply cannot be ignored or deemed insignificant. While he and the previous Republican Congress failed to defund Planned Parenthood, Trump has followed through on other promises — nominating pro-life judges, signing a bill allowing states to block Title X funding from going to “family planning” organizations that perform abortions, and reinstating a federal policy preventing foreign aid from being used to provide or endorse abortions.
“From the first day in office,” Trump said during his speech, “I’ve taken historic action to support America’s families and protect the unborn.” Moreover, he said, “All of us here today understand an eternal truth: Every child is a precious and sacred gift from God. When we see the image of a baby in the womb, we glimpse the majesty of God’s creation.”
Trump is now boldly enjoining himself to the pro-life movement in a manner avoided by prior Republican presidents. Of all the negative character flaws one can criticize Trump for, boldness to stand up for what he believes is not one of them. Trump’s decision is truly momentous in the history of the pro-life movement. ~The Patriot Post
