How About We Make Black Live Better?
Black Lives Matter is becoming increasingly funded by far-left organizations. The Ford Foundation and Borealis Philanthropy announced that they have formed the Black-Led Movement Fund, which aims to raise $100 million for BLM over the next six years. Add to this amount the already donated $33 million from George Soros and BLM is really starting to rake in the cash. It seems that racist victimhood really sells.
But as has been documented, the birth of the Black Lives Matter movement was based on a lie. A lie that has been perpetuated and used to organize protests, rioting and looting, as well as provide "justification" for the murders of police officers all in the name of racial justice. Ignoring the riots and racial discord BLM has provoked, Borealis Philanthropy says it is working with "young, Black, queer, feminists and immigrant leaders who are shaping and leading a national conversation about criminalization, policing and race in America." It's fine to have a "conversation" and debate the problems, real or perceived, within the inner city, but this is not what BLM does, as their radical socialist demands illustrate. There is no back and forth discussion, there are only obnoxious, offensive and unconstitutional demands made in the name of concern for the plight of black Americans — a plight, by the way, that exists because of Democrats.
Why not put this $100 million into actually helping black Americans? Rather than paying for hashtags, rioting and murder, grant funding for private programs that aim to help educate and encourage development of skills to better engage in the American entrepreneurial spirit. The problem is BLM has seized tremendous influence within the Democrat Party, which allows them a greater platform to more effectively promulgate their racist ideals, further polarizing America. ~The Patriot Post

liar-Hillary Joins the Protectionists
Michael Swartz: It's likely most Americans haven't read the liar-Hillary Clinton autobiography "Hard Choices," but in it she discussed the Trans-Pacific Partnership then being negotiated. She wrote, "It's safe to say the TPP won't be perfect — no deal negotiated among a dozen countries ever will be — but its higher standards, if implemented and enforced, should benefit American businesses and workers." (By the way, the paperback version omits this section.) Ever the shameless opportunist, liar-Clinton decided that competing with the protectionism that both Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump espouse meant she had to join them in opposing the TPP.
However, Mercatus Center research fellow Veronique de Rugy analyzes liar-Hillary's (and Trump's) position and asks the obvious: "Is she lying now or was she lying before?"
De Rugy adds, "Either way, the reality is that [liar-Hillary Clinton's] instincts on pretty much every policy issue are incorrect. She wants the government to grow and she wants to smother the labor market to death with new mandates and tell entrepreneurs how to run their companies and pay their workers. She wants more regulations and she wants the government to have a say in what the innovations of the future should be. She wants a one-size-fits-all labor market and opposes the sharing economy. She is a drug warrior and 'the candidate of the war machine.' She is also in favor of the worst crony programs out there, like the Ex-Im Bank."
Others on the free trade side are chipping in with criticism of liar-Hillary's shifting position. "If Congress or the next president rejects TPP, China will be ready to fill the vacuum with its own brand of economic leadership," warns fellow Mercatus Center scholar Daniel Griswold. Since China is not a party to the TPP, it could create its own pact with several of the TPP nations.
The GOP contenders were all over the map on TPP — and certainly were skeptical about giving Barack nObama fast-track trade authority. As it was being discussed last year, Donald Trump capitalized on the perception that Rust Belt factory workers were going to fare even worse than they have over the last two decades — a regional downturn Trump was quick to blame on NAFTA and other trade agreements. Trump instead has favored one-on-one pacts, noting, "I would make individual deals with individual countries and currency manipulation would be a pre-eminent part of every deal because that's the chief weapon that other countries ... use to take away our businesses and our jobs." It's a position where he has been more or less consistent throughout the campaign.
But because liar-Hillary has been open to TPP in the past — she once called it the "gold standard" of trade agreements — some Republicans have come out for her simply based on the belief she may take an agreement, perhaps with some face-saving amendment. Furthermore, revered economist Walter E. Williams argues on these pages that, while thousands of manufacturing jobs were indeed lost over the last few decades, America is better off because those job losses indicate economic progress. As a comparison, Williams notes that 90 percent of the workforce were farmers back in 1790, but less than 3 percent today. Yet farmers are vastly more productive thanks to technological improvements.
So while the top two candidates argue about who can best protect unionized American factory jobs, it's worth remembering that trade is a two-way street, and protectionism by the United States will certainly be matched by those we desire to export to. All liar-Hillary Clinton has done by her flipping and flopping on the question of free trade is to guarantee one side will be completely alienated once she finally makes up her mind. ~The Patriot Post

{tommclaughlin.blogspot.com} ~ Two Muslim immigrants who lived in Maine were killed fighting for ISIS and each left a wife and children here on welfare. The second, Adnan Fazeli, was revealed last week by the Portland Press Herald, but how many people realize there was at least one other? And, are there any more? If so, that information would be kept under wraps as long as possible.
The first was Abdirahmaan Muhumed, aka Abdifatah Ahmed, about whom I wrote in January, 2015. He was born in Somalia, raised in Minnesota, lived in Lewiston, and became a US citizen in South Portland, Maine. His Maine wife divorced him because he wanted multiple wives. He was killed in Syria in 2014 and it’s worth mentioning that he also worked at the Minneapolis/St. Paul airport. Think about that next time you board a plane.

Last week’s Press Herald headline on Fazeli read: “Documents: Freeport man died fighting for Islamic State in Lebanon.” Was he a “Freeport man”? By whose definition? He was an Iranian who professed, at one time at least, a desire to become American. To be a “Freeport man” one must be an American. Nowhere in the article does it say Fazeli was a citizen. It said he became radicalized in Maine by watching ISIS videos and converting to Wahhabism, which the PPH called an “austere” version of Islam. That’s like calling the KKK an austere version of Christianity. Wahhabism is radical Islam. It’s jihadism calling for the destruction of the west. Maine State Police Detective George Loder said: “Fazeli’s change in behavior alienated him from many of his Shia and moderate Sunni friends in the area. However, there were a few local Sunnis who supported his radical Islamist fervor and treated him with a great deal of respect.”
The article said Fazeli was a “refugee” brought to Portland by Catholic Charities in 2009. He was born in Iran and raised a Shia Muslim, but “self-identified” as Arab and not “Iranian.” What a suspicious phrase that is. Was he born Persian, which is a different, majority-ethnic group in Iran? Faze also identified as a Sunni Muslim, a branch of Islam which comprises about 9% of Iran’s population, but he was afraid of being arrested so he “fled” to Syria, a puppet state of Iran where a civil war was raging between Sunnis and Shiites. How does that make sense? Syria would be the last place to go for “refuge.” Was he perhaps interested in joining Sunni terrorists like ISIS and al Qaida which were fighting the Shia in Syria?

Then he “fled” Syria, arriving as a “refugee” in Philadelphia in 2009, and “came to the Portland area through Catholic Charities Refugee and Immigration Services,” according to the Press Herald. The article goes on to say: “Catholic Charities in Portland said Fazeli tried to receive social services welfare]from the organization but was told that because he had come to Maine from another U.S. city after he’d immigrated to the U.S., he was not eligible…”
However, Fazeli did go on welfare along with his wife and three kids. This was reluctantly revealed in subsequent Press Herald article headlined: “LePage orders scrutiny of welfare benefits for immigrants in Maine… a reaction to the case of an Iranian refugee who... was killed fighting for the Islamic State in Lebanon in 2015.”
Interesting that he wasn’t a “Freeport man” anymore, but “an Iranian refugee.” Most illegal aliens sneaking into the country now ask for “asylum” as instructed by immigration lawyers — virtually all of whom are Democrats. Most "refugees" are not fleeing war-torn countries either. They come from the Middle East, Africa, Central America, and other places as economic migrants to get what Fazeli was getting. Only some are leaving Syria or Somalia, but media like the Portland Press Herald and the Sun Journal of Lewiston imply that all are genuine refugees from war-torn countries. The London Daily Mail reports that four out of five migrants to the EU in 2015, for example, were economic migrants looking for a better life, not refugees fleeing a war zone.
Soros and liar-Hillary
This “refugee” migration is pushed by the Democrat Party as a recruitment drive. That’s why George Soros funds it so lavishly both here and in Europe according to recently-hacked documents from Soros’s “Open Society Foundation.” It's a scam to "fundamentally transform" the United States and the entire western world while getting the rest of us to pay for it.

Soros also funds attacks against writers like David Horowitz, Pam Geller and Cliff May (all of whom I’ve met) and others who expose things like what I've written above. Stories like Fazeli's and Muhamed’s give ordinary voters a peek under the rug where liberal media desperately try to sweep stories about radical Islam in the USA — while depicting writers like me as hateful bigots for exposing them.
