Bill to Defund Planned Parenthood Dies in Senate 
The Senate's vote to defund Planned Parenthood seemed to be more about political optics than actually casting votes for the right thing. A bill that would have halted $500 million in annual federal funds from going to Planned Parenthood died when a procedural vote that required 60 votes fell short by seven. This raises questions: How serious are the Senate Republicans in protecting the lives of the unborn? Some GOP senators see this vote as testing the waters, possibly for a political cage fight come fall if the GOP gets enough backbone to attach a PP defunding measure to a spending bill and risk another government shutdown. Commentators like Leon H. Wolf see this vote as Senate Majority Leader Mitch McCon-nell cowing to the slightest political pressure. By allowing the bill cosponsored by 45 Republicans to die on a procedure vote, McCon-nell allowed the status quo to remain and a handful of lawmakers were able to vote in a way that would please their constituencies. Meanwhile, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal canceled the contract between Planned Parenthood and Louisiana. Yes, changing the nation's policy takes time — and the Center for Medical Progress has many more videos to prompt debate — but when the time comes for political courage, will McConnell's Senate rise to the occasion?

Bad Leadership Sours DHS Immigration Program
At the beginning of July, the nObama administration started its Priority Enforcement Program, a new approach to how the administration enforces the immigration laws, but it's soured by DHS's past immigration enforcement track record. It's a failure in leadership: Local law enforcement and even groups that would have supported nObama's immigration policies don't trust his new enforcement effort. The supervising attorney for the Immigrant Legal Resource Center, Angie Junck, told The Washington Post, "We see this as DHS kind of rebranding to rebuild the trust they lost with a lot of local law enforcement agencies. We are very concerned that it will repeat the mistakes of the past." Does anybody gladly work with nObama on anything any more? He's lost so much trust. No wonder so many cities decided to go it alone and declare themselves sanctuary cities. Home rule is better than rule from a capricious federal government that is rewriting immigration law on the fly by "prioritizing" certain types of deportations. Seattle CEO Experiences Fallout of $70K Minimum Wage
A Seattle CEO is learning firsthand the predictable outcomes that accompany minimum wage hikes. Dan Price, who heads Gravity Payments, a credit card processing firm, became an instant celebrity when he announced earlier this year that none of his 120 employees would earn less than $70,000 a year. In fact, he slashed his own salary of $1 million down to $70,000 to level the playing field. It was a kindhearted move, to be sure, but the ensuing months demonstrated the reality that such a minimum wage has far-reaching repercussions. According to former Gravity Financial Manager Maisey McMaster, Price "gave raises to people who have the least skills and are the least equipped to do the job, and the ones who were taking on the most didn't get much of a bump." The result? Two prominent-turned-disgruntled employees, including McMaster, called it quits. The other one, Grant Moran, intoned a similar frustration: "Now the people who were just clocking in and out were making the same as me. It shackles high performers to less motivated team members." On top of that, The New York Times reports, "[A] few customers, dismayed by what they viewed as a political statement, withdrew their business. Others, anticipating a fee increase — despite repeated assurances to the contrary — also left." And while Gravity Payments won the hearts of other business owners, "those accounts will not start paying off for at least another year," the Times added. "To handle the flood, [Price] has already had to hire a dozen additional employees — now at a significantly higher cost — and is struggling to figure out whether more are needed without knowing for certain how long the bonanza will last."
But the drama doesn't end there. Gravity Payments co-founder Lucas Price, the brother of Dan, is suing the company, which is adding substantial legal costs. Hot Air's Jazz Shaw put it best: "I'm sure Mr. Price is a very nice man and he clearly cares about people in general. But his move to push his generous nature into his business model is returning precisely the sort of results which the free market predicts." The lesson here? nObama's Clean Power Plan Is Costly Political Theater On Monday, Barack nObama announced new rules for his long-dreaded Clean Power Plan. This past spring, we warned that nObama's agenda to combat global warming would be finalized during the hottest days of summer. As with almost every other agenda under nObama, it’s even worse than expected — and all to prevent warming of 0.01 degrees Celsius.
Winston Churchill once said, "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy. Its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." And make no mistake: nObama's plan has little or nothing to do with climate and everything to do with his social justice worldview, in which he wants to handicap the U.S. ostensibly to the benefit of the rest of the world.
nObama was originally set to unveil his new rules outside of the White House. However, due to the sweltering heat, he chose to move the announcement inside. Naturally, Leftmedia talkingheads couldn’t pass on the opportunity to blubber that “Mother Nature … was making his point for him.” But newsflash: It’s always hot in August. Assad even admitted on Sunday that his army is suffering from a “lack of human resources,” according to news reports. “A lack of human resources”? I guess that’s?one way to put it.

{Irickwells.us} ~ t’s not surprising that it happened but it’s very surprising that it took as long as it did, particularly given the large Jewish population in Hollywood. One would have expected that they would have come to the reality that nObama is the enemy closer to the time the rest of us figured it out, seven or eight years ago... The important thing is that 190 Hollywood celebrities, including some big names, have finally come to their senses and signed a letter of support for Israel and in opposition to Hamas. Included in signatories are Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Kelsey Grammer, Bill Maher, Seth Rogan, Jon Lovitz and David Zucker. nObama’s Climate Change “Death To America” Proclamation...
{rickwells.us} ~ The lies start immediately and they never stop coming in this nObama video of his roll out of the newest crippling assault on the American economy and his draconian global government solution to the non-existent problem that he and his minions are fabricating... For most rational people it is at best a chore and at worst torturous to listen to Hussein nObama spew his anti-American rhetoric, so I’ve cut this down, eliminating his lip-biting Clintonesque pauses, his phony moments of “wise reflective consideration” and all but one example of the trained seals applauding our destruction. That one instance is a standing ovation which was painfully long in unfolding. It features nObama’s staff eugenicist and climate Nazi John Holdren right and center. Due to the natural physical repulsion which will be experienced by most attempting to listen to the entire video, I will offer it in shorter, easier to digest segments in the near future. This offering is intended for those who are, for whatever reason, capable of tolerating the mental and physical abuse.

FBI Investigating Security Of Hilly's Email Server...
{Jeff Dunetz} ~ The Washington Post and confirmed by Fox News is that the FBI has begun investigating the security of Hilly Clinton's private e-mail server... The inquiry comes days after inspectors general from the State Department and the intelligence community sent a letter to the Justice Department requesting an inquest into whether classified material was improperly shared or stored on Hilly's private e-mail account. There is no evidence that the FBI has actually examined the server as of yet, the reports are they contacted the Denver-based technology firm that helped manage the email system. Per the Washington Post, "the FBI contacted Clinton’s lawyer, David Kendall, with questions about the security of a thumb drive in his possession that contains copies of work e-mails Clinton sent during her time as secretary of state. Kendall confirmed the contact, saying: “The government is seeking assurance about the storage of those materials. We are actively cooperating.” I wonder if the FBI will tell the truth or cover up for Hilly?

Iran: Inspectors Will Not Be Allowed into Iranian Military Sites
{Jeff Dunetz} ~ hanoi John Kerry says over and over that the nuclear deal with Iran depends on verification, not trust. Iran's version of verification is different than the nObama administration's... Ali Akar Velayati, a top adviser to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, appeared on Al-Jazeera on July 31 and was asked about U.N. inspections of Iran’s military sites. “Regardless of how the P5+1 countries interpret the nuclear agreement, their entry into our military sites is absolutely forbidden. The entry of any foreigner, including IAEA inspectors or any other inspector, to the sensitive military sites of the Islamic Republic is forbidden, no matter what.” So which is it? Because if the military sites are off limits guess where Iran is going to do their nuclear work?

Every one of these nearly 50 countries does. Iran does not. For over two decades, in fact, Iran has flouted, bamboozled and cheated the IAEA. Terror Victims' Lawsuit Seeks to Block Iran Deal's Sanctions Relief

The plaintiffs, victims of attacks by Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, have judgments worth $152 million that they have been unable to collect. Similar lawsuits in U.S. courts have generated billions of dollars more in damages. Iran, the lawsuit said, should not see a dime of sanctions relief until those victims are compensated. By law, the lawsuit said, Iran should not be granted any relief until there is "a certification by the President that Iran is no longer a financier and sponsor of terror. As TaxProf notes, the family’s charitable giving from 2007 onward has been a case study in moving money around. Since 2007, the Clintons “made $15 million (10.8 percent of their AGI) of charitable contributions, $14.9 million of which went to the Clinton Family Foundation and the Clinton Global Initiative.” That leaves $100,000 for charitable uses that don’t directly involve the Clinton family and their globalist friends. It boggles the mind why Democrats employed the so called “nuclear option” in order to pass nObamacare with a simple majority vote, but Republican leadership didn’t feel the health crisis of infanticide was of adequate importance to do so in this instance. At the very least, could the measure to defund not have been attached to a bill that Democrats were strongly in favor of so that it might pass? Likewise we are told that after their summer break, Republicans will try some procedural maneuvers to stop federal funding to this repugnant organization. At least Republican leaders can salve their conscience secure in the knowledge that they “played fair” and that Senate order has been restored. It is emotionally devastating to consider how many tiny innocent skulls will be crushed in the interim. Never before has the impotence of this Congress been more starkly evident.

If altering the morally sketchy late term abortion procedures in order to “harvest” body parts desired by the market is not a crisis, what is? If we cannot agree that what has been seen in these videos is immoral, one must wonder, what can we agree on as a nation? And regarding current Democrat party leadership, do words like “crisis” or “morals” even hold anything resembling their actual meaning anymore?
