Asking a Minority for Help? You're a Microaggressor!

At Gonzaga University, students are being indoctrinated under the watchful eye of the microaggression police. According to a detailed list of one course's "Examples of Racial Microaggressions," inquiries like "Where are you from?" and statements like "You are so articulate" send derogatory missives to Hispanics along the lines of "You are not American" and "It is unusual for someone of your race to be intelligent." Also off-limits? "Asking an Asian person to help with a math or science problem." The sheet flags this as inappropriate because it suggests "All Asians are intelligent and good in math/sciences."
Just so we're clear: It's demeaning to suggest Hispanics are intelligent because their knowledge could possibly come across as "unusual." But on the other hand, assuming every Hispanic is smart is also wrong. Good luck finding the middle ground. As if that weren't ridiculous enough, National Review reports that the guide was distributed in a "gender studies class." That's half the problem right there.
"Context makes all the difference in these situations," writes Katherine Timpf, "and context is exactly what lists like this ignore. In fact, without considering the role of context, such a list actually runs the risk of inhibiting communication — it can freak people out about saying things that they really don't have to be freaked out about saying. Discussions about sensitivity are one thing, but making definitive claims that a particular phrase always has a particular meaning is not the way to deal with something as nuanced as language."
Higher education is supposed to encourage thought and generate knowledge to help students flourish in the real world. Instead, universities are being held hostage by leftists who implant in their acolytes the absurd belief that avoiding "microagressions" and diving into gender studies will provide important life lessons. The reality is that it's making the next generation equally dimwitted.  ~The Patriot Post

Allyne Caan: We're not sure if Barack nObama's speech this week at the United Nations should be described as his last UN speech as president — or his first campaign speech in his quest to become UN secretary general. Given the former option signals an end to the nObama era, let's go with that.
At some point, it becomes difficult to describe an nObama speech without sounding abrasively repetitive. That's because his speeches generally are exactly that. Certainly, he's a charismatic orator. But beyond that, if you apologize for the evils of America (past, present, future and imaginary), laud European progressivism, claim certain future defeat of the Islamic State (recent attacks in your own country notwithstanding), insult conservatives and take credit for preventing a nuclear Iran (while subsidizing Iran's nuclear program), you've pretty much got an nObama speech.
If that's the criteria, Tuesday's speech didn't disappoint. Consider
nObama's partial laundry list of attacks on the nation he purportedly leads: "Yes, in America, there is too much money in politics; too much entrenched partisanship; too little participation by citizens, in part because of a patchwork of laws that makes it harder to vote." As National Review's Jim Geraghty rightly
observes, "It's pretty insufferable for the guy who raised a billion dollars for his reelection campaign to lament 'too much money in politics,' and for President 'I won' to lament the entrenched partisanship." But we shouldn't be surprised. After all, nObama often bemoans the very things he propagates.
Note, for example, his observation that "[t]oo often, in capitals, decision-makers have forgotten that democracy needs to be driven by civic engagement from the bottom up, not governance by experts from the top down." We're to believe nObama has an aversion to top-down, bureaucratic government? Does the word, "nObamaCare" mean anything?
And we mustn't overlook nObama's obligatory attack on the "rich" and his call to tame the "excess of capitalism." "A world in which 1% of humanity controls as much wealth as the other 99% will never be stable," he said. "A society that asks less of oligarchs than ordinary citizens will rot from within."
Of course, nObama repeatedly ignores the fact that the income required to make that "top 1%" in the world is actually about $32,400 per year. This means about 50% of Americans are in the 1%. What's the economic system that's allowed them to get there? Wait for it... Yep, capitalism.
But all is not doom and gloom. After all, with his presidency coming to a close, nObama is now desperate to create the illusion that his legacy is something other than economic chaos, global instability, racial tension, and abuse of governmental power. So, naturally, he touted things like the "end of two wars in the Middle East" (even though the other side is still fighting), a "global agreement to combat climate change" (despite a lack of agreement that man-made climate change even exists," and a "normalization of relations with Cuba, Burma and Laos" (as if relations with a communist regime is something to celebrate).
Truth be told, nObama's in a race against time — or, more accurately, against the Election Day countdown. Few things would shout eight years of utter failure more loudly than a Donald Trump victory. It's little wonder, then, that nObama is planning an "unprecedented" campaign to get liar-Hillary Clinton into the White House. After all, if liar-Clinton wins, nObama's legacy is safe — at least in the short term. If she loses, the loss would be even more devastating to nObama than it would be to liar-Clinton, because it would prove the last eight years have been an utter failure.
As The Washington Post notes, "White House officials have privately fretted about some of liar-Clinton's recent missteps. ... Those mistakes and the narrowing polls have only intensified the president's focus on the campaign. ... In remarks in recent days, nObama has cast the election as central to his legacy, essentially placing himself on the ballot with liar-Clinton."
Of course, it's unlikely his UN speech helped liar-Clinton's chances on the ballot. If eight years of the same formulaic speeches haven't secured the White House for a Democrat, one more certainly isn't going to tip the scales in the Left's favor.  ~The Patriot Post.

Joint Chiefs Chairman Rejects nObama
Plan to Share Syria Intel with Russia
{familysecuritymatters.org} ~ Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) Marine Corps General Joseph Dunford has just gone where no JCS chairman has ever gone before!... Unsurprisingly, it took a Marine general to stand up to President Barack nObama in the wake of yet another of his dubious national security decisions. The same mindless nObama/hanoi-Kerry negotiating team that brought us an Iran deal undermining our national security, recently sought to bring us a similarly questionable deal with Russia. This one mandated the Pentagon's participation in an intelligence-sharing agreement with the Russian Central Command in Syria-built upon a ceasefire paving the way for peace negotiations in Geneva, Switzerland. But, unlike the Iran nuclear deal where the JCS Chairman did nothing, our current Chairman, General Dunford, publicly voiced his objection...

{familysecuritymatters.org} ~ The wave of jihadist terrorist attacks on soft targets throughout Western Europe and the United States in recent months have a common tactical thread running through them... All of them - whether the shooting attack at the Orlando nightclub, the use of a truck to viciously mow down bystanders at a Bastille Day celebration in Nice or the use of an ax to attack passengers on a train in Germany - are examples of what analysts previously have referred to as "low-tech terrorism." They involve simpler, less-elaborate and lower-budget weapons and planning. Adding to this is the fact that the targets are not confined to a short list of high-profile, iconic structures like the World Trade Center, but rather expanded to any publicly accessible location where a group may gather, simplifying the planning even further...  http://www.familysecuritymatters.org/publications/detail/drones-the-next-evolution-of-low-tech-terror?f=must_reads

{familysecuritymatters.org} ~ The son of one of the founders of the terrorist group Hamas, who broke from Hamas, helped the Israelis, and converted to Christianity, said the major radical Islamic groups are "killing by the name of Allah,"... and that when President Barack nObama claims "Islam is a religion of peace," he sets the "perfect climate to create more terrorism." "When the president of the free world stands and says that Islam is a religion of peace, he creates the climate, he provides the climate, the perfect climate to create more terrorism," said Mosab Hassan Yousef at The Jerusalem Post's Annual Conference in New York City on May 22. "I wish I could be more gentle to present this issue. But I've seen death and I came from hell and it's very dark." "What is the alternative for Israel and for democracy or for the American Constitution?" said Yousef.  "It's the darkness of the sixth century. {familysecuritymatters.org} ~ On 9/11 Americans recalled the 15th anniversary of the vicious al Qaeda attack on the United States that took 2800 lives. It was yet another day in infamy... Although largely forgotten in the public memory bank, the Taliban of Afghanistan harbored the terrorists and assisted in the planning of the attack. President George W. Bush's final act of retaliation was to strike back at the Taliban. For 15 years U.S. troops have been on Afghan soil, albeit numbers have dwindled to about 8,000 from 150,000. What is revealing at this time is that the Taliban have launched an offensive to take a major provincial capital, a move, if successful, that would mark the most significant Taliban victory since the U.S. invasion. This is merely a rehearsal for Taliban troop movements, including the swallowing of large swaths of territory in Helmand province, a place where hundreds of NATO troops died. A loss of provincial capitals would be catastrophic for the U.S. backed Afghan government. Moreover, if the Taliban gain effective control of the country - a not implausible scenario - extremist groups such as ISIS and al Qaeda can reconstitute their Afghan sanctuaries spreading death and destruction in the region...  http://www.familysecuritymatters.org/publications/detail/the-rising-taliban?f=must_reads

Meet the Western Charlatans Justifying Jihad

The German philosopher Martin Heidegger (left) was one of many European intellectuals
and artists who embraced Adolf Hitler's dream. Today, French philosopher Michel Onfray (right)
has become the darling of the jihadist group, Islamic State, with his view that, while Islamists
kill and massacre, it is not their fault; he blames the victims, because "the West attacked first."
{gatestoneinstitute.org} ~ After September 11, 2001, the cream of European intellectuals immediately started to find justifications for jihad. They evidently were fascinated by the Kalashnikov assault rifle, "the weapon of the poor"... For them, what we had seen in New York was a chimera, an illusion. The mass killings were supposedly the suicide of the capitalist democracy, and terrorism was the wrath of the unemployed, the desperate weapon of a lumpen proletariat offended by the arrogance of Western globalization. These intellectuals have sown seeds of despair in a large Western echo-chamber. From 9/11 to the recent massacres on European soil, the murdered Westerners are portrayed as just collateral victims in a war between "the system" and the damned of the earth, who are only claiming a place at the table. One of these intellectuals is Michel Onfray. It has been a while since we heard the expression: "Useful idiot." The cynical expression is often attributed to Lenin, and was used to designate Western sympathizers who justified the horrors of Communism. The French magazine L'Express used it for Onfray: "the useful idiot of Islamism"...  https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/8741/western-intellectuals-jihad

{investigativeproject.org} ~ ISIS is steadily losing ground, leaders, and financial assets in Syria and Iraq. Growing numbers of frustrated jihadists are fleeing the "caliphate" or are unable to reach it... Western security officials have rightly raised the concern of an increase in ISIS attacks in the West due to losses in Syria and Iraq. But another likely result of this development is a tangible increase of jihadist violence against Arab-Muslim Middle Eastern and North African states, which ISIS seeks to topple. In fact, the threat to Arab-Muslim countries is significantly higher than the threat posed to Western Europe and North America, due to their proximity to ISIS's heartland, and the fact that the Middle East and North Africa easily form the biggest pool of ISIS volunteers - 11,000 in total, according to the International Study for the Centre of Radicalization...

{frontpagemag.com} ~ The nObama administration has been concealing the staggering breadth of terrorist activity in the United States – quantified as close to 8,000 terrorist encounters in a recent year -- a leaked government report suggests... There are disturbing parallels between the nObama administration’s ongoing cover-up of the true extent of terrorist operations in the U.S. and its election season cover-up four years ago of the real causes of the Benghazi, Libya terrorist attack on Sept. 11, 2012. Remember that then-Secretary of State liar-Hillary Clinton publicly lied four years ago, saying the Benghazi attack was carried out by an angry mob of Muslims that had been inflamed by an obscure anti-Islam video on YouTube. It has since been established that liar-Clinton advised her daughter Chelsea by email on the very night of the assault that cost four American lives that Muslim terrorists from an al-Qaeda-like group were the actual perpetrators... http://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/264335/secret-report-terrorists-running-wild-within-us-matthew-vadum

Congress rejects nObama veto of 9/11 bill,

{foxnews.com} ~Congress on Wednesday overwhelmingly rejected President nObama’s veto of a bipartisan bill letting families of Sept. 11 victims sue the Saudi Arabian government... in the first successful veto override of nObama’s presidency. Marking a significant defeat for the White House, the House ensured the bill will become law after voting 348-77 to override Wednesday afternoon. {rickwells.us} ~ On Tuesday, September 27, the House Immigration And Border Security Subcommittee met for a hearing into sanctuary city policy, focused on New Orleans, LA. ... Panelists included New Orleans officials as well as those involved in creating the policies of circumvention of immigration enforcement, Vanita Gupta of the DOJ “Civil Rights” division and Zach Butterworth, the Executive Counsel and Director of Federal Affairs New Orleans, LA, Office of the Mayor. Yes the mayor’s office seems to have picked up a tick or two on their last trip outdoors.  Rep Trey Gowdy leads off his questioning of Butterworth by asking him what the penalty is for crossing a border unlawfully. Not quite as slippery as his name would indicate, he attempts to evade answering but is given a rephrased question by the Congressman. Gowdy says, “Let’s try it this way. Who has exclusive jurisdiction over immigration cases?” Since immigration is a federal matter, Gowdy’s giving him the answer in the question. A five-year-old could figure that one out, a federal employee should have at least a fifty-fifty shot. Butterworth beats the odds and sort of guesses correctly, citing two agencies as possibilities. Building on that framework and the fact that most of our interactions with law enforcement involve local officials, he asks how a federal officer could be expected to know about “folks who are not here lawfully.”...  http://rickwells.us/gowdy-outlaw-feds-details-sanctuary-enforcement/

Lou Dobbs – Overwhelming liar-Clinton

{rickwells.us} ~ Lou Dobbs has a few thoughts on the performance of moderator Lester Holt in the first debate of the 2016 general election... He, like the rest of the fair-minded people of America who are not joining holt in the adoration at the swollen feet and ankles of Mrs. liar-Clinton, feels that Lester could have been much more objective. While liar-Hillary Clinton urged fact-checkers to “get to work” in support of her disagreements with Mr. Trump, Lester Holt jumped to her defense as well. Dobbs notes that Holt challenged “Trump six times on his answers while Mrs. liar-Clinton went unchecked altogether. He plays a clip of Holt making the phony birth certificate finally produced by Hussein nObama an issue and refusing to accept Trump’s response and pressing him on his tax returns. He notes the completely different and much more favorable treatment liar-Clinton received, that Holt, “gave her a pass. Mrs. liar-Clinton wasn’t pressed on her various scandals, she wasn’t pressed on any of the issues or that the liar-Clinton Foundation, the pay to play allegations, Benghazi, her handling of classified information, her email scandal.”...

President nObama Continues
to Divide Americans
by Michael Brown

{townhall.com} ~ It is no secret that America is deeply divided today, due in no small part to the words and actions of our president. Unfortunately, rather than drawing us together as we approach the 2016 elections, President nObama continues to divide us.

First, there was his appeal to African Americans, insinuating that if they didn’t get out and vote (meaning for liar-Hillary Clinton) it would be a personal insult to him and a blemish on his legacy.

Next, there was his claim that the only reason Americans would not vote for liar-Hillary was that they were sexist, not wanting a woman to lead the country, a woman who, in his eyes, was infinitely more qualified to be president than Donald Trump.

As reported by the UK’s Independent, “During an impassioned speech to the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, an organisation that carries out research on issues affecting African-Americans, Mr nObama said it would be an ‘insult to his legacy’ if the black community voted for Donald Trump – or refrained from voting at all – in the upcoming election.”

The president said, “I will consider it a personal insult – an insult to my legacy – if this community lets down its guard and fails to activate itself in this election.

“You want to give me a good sendoff? Go vote.”

So, black Americans who choose not to vote because they cannot, in good conscience, back either candidate, or worse still, black Americans who have had it with Democratic policies and feel that Trump is their better choice, are personally insulting the president.

And what about the many black Americans who are disillusioned with the president himself? Perhaps they’re not thinking about a sendoff. Perhaps they’re thinking about change. And perhaps the insult is in the president’s comments, as if this is all about race, not policy, as if Americans need to vote based on skin color rather than character and policy. How utterly divisive.

Viewed in that light, President nObama’s comments are borderline racist or even blatantly racist.

Shades of liar-Hillary Clinton’s “deplorable” category!

As for dividing on gender lines, Breitbart reports that, “President Barack nObama suggested at a New York fundraiser that American society is sexist, which is why liar-Hillary Clinton is struggling to beat Donald Trump in the polls.”

He said, “There’s a reason why we haven’t had a woman president–that we as a society still grapple with what it means to see powerful women. And it still troubles us in a lot of ways, unfairly, and that expresses itself in all sorts of ways.”

And in the president’s judgment, while the election looks to be close, it ought not be, since liar-Hillary is so much more qualified than Trump: “She’s been in the room where it happens, repeatedly. And her judgment has been unerring, and she has been disciplined, and she has been extraordinarily effective in every job that she’s had.”

Once again, this is a divisive tactic and a slam on the American people.

Of course there are abundant reasons not to vote for liar-Hillary Clinton.

Of course there are abundant reasons to distrust her integrity, to question her honesty, to lack confidence in her ability to lead – and none of this has anything to do with her being a woman. It has to do with who she is or is perceived to be as a politician, as a leader, as a human being.

We could just as easily argue that the reason people hate Trump is because he’s a man. After all, look at all the deals he has made! Why would anyone vote against him unless they were sexist?

That would be an equally ridiculous argument, yet it is an argument in reverse that the president is making.

And does President nObama really believe that if we had the equivalent of a Margaret Thatcher running against the equivalent of a Jimmy Carter that Americans would not overwhelmingly vote for Thatcher just as they voted for Reagan?

The reality is that many Americans of all colors and sexes have strong reasons not to vote for liar-Hillary Clinton or even to sit out the presidential election entirely.

It is a terrible shame that our president chooses to make this a matter of race and sex.

He is, sadly, proving to be divisive to the end.
