townhall.com } ~ Kelly Knight Craft, the woman who will replace Nikki Haley, has been confirmed as the next ambassador to the United Nations. The full Senate voted 56-34 Wednesday night... after Craft was voted out of the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee 15-7 earlier in July.  Republican Senator Marco Rubio is also applauding the move. “I applaud the Senate for confirming Ambassador Kelly Craft to be the next U.S. Permanent Representative to the United Nations. The United Nations and many of its organizations have become platforms for Russia, China, and other malign actors to attack the United States and our allies, and to block productive U.N. Security Council resolutions from moving forward. We need another strong ambassador who will not only advocate for the U.S., but also be a staunch voice for global human rights and democracy," Rubio released in a statement. "I have no doubt Ambassador Craft will faithfully represent the United States and I look forward to working with her as she assumes her new role.” During her confirmation hearing in June, Craft vowed to continue reform of the UN and called on members of the international body to pay their fair share. "The United States must continue the drumbeat of reformat the UN. Of course, the issue of reform has been something of a mantra for members of both parties on this committee, and for good reason," Craft said. "The United States has long been the world leader in supporting humanitarian aid, spending more than eight billion dollars a year through USAID and international organizations such as UNICEF and the World Food Program. But I also believe other responsible nations can and must do more to contribute their fair share, and I will make that point firmly and frequently. Again, the UN is stronger, not weaker, when more of its members are invested in the success of its most important work."...

Reasons Why Peaceful Resolutions for the
Arab-Israeli Conflict Always Fail

gatestoneinstitute.org } ~ We must salute Jared Kushner's attempt to bring a peaceful solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict. That said, the Palestinians' unsurprising rejection of the peace offer requires some scrutiny... especially the true causes of the perennial failure to achieve lasting peace. Without understanding them, every attempt to solve this conflict, every attempt to make true peace in the Middle East, will always fail. As an insider with a background as both a Muslim and an Arab, please allow me share with you some insight into the problem. 1. The Arab-Israeli conflict is not about borders. It is about the existence of the state of Israel.  In 1947, the United Nations Partition Plan -- Resolution 181 -- gave the Palestinians and Arabs control over most of the Holy Land. The rejection of the plan by the Arab nations, and their declaration of war against Israel rather than their acceptance of peace, was the first clear indication that the Arabs' desire was never to provide a state for the Palestinian people, but rather has been from the beginning to erase Israel from the map. This destructive intent is memorialized in the Hamas Charter, which unashamedly asks for the eradication of the State of Israel. This intent is also aligned with the Iranian leaders' continuous entreaties to destroy Israel. An evaluation of relevant social media commentary in the Arab world demonstrates a genuine desire by many -- if not most -- of the Arab population to see the destruction of Israel and the killing not just of all Israeli Jews but of all Jews...  https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/14634/arab-israeli-conflict-reasons

nationalreview.com } ~ Making the click-through worthwhile: America’s debate watchers learn that lowlife-Kamala Harris can’t really defend her record; most candidates’ debate playbooks are predictable... and Kirsten Gillibrand manages to pick the single least-effective and least-plausible line of attack against loose lips liar-Joe Biden. lowlife-Harris’s first move when attacked is to simply deny the accusation. Five times last night, lowlife-Harris began a sentence with “the reality is. . . ,” and what follows from lowlife-Harris rarely directly refutes the accusation; she usually emphasizes a slightly different point. Dana Bash asked lowlife-Harris about the loose lips liar-Biden campaign’s claim that her health care plan was “a have-it-every-which-way approach.” lowlife-Harris’s responded, “the reality is that I have been spending time in this campaign listening to American families, listening to experts, listening to health care providers.” Listening to lots of people is nice, but that doesn’t really address whether the plan is an attempt to have it every which way. loose lips liar-Biden then said that her plan would cost $3 trillion. She responded, “the reality is that our plan will bring health care to all Americans under a Medicare for All system.” That doesn’t address the cost issue. loose lips liar-Biden went after her on the cost again, and lowlife-Harris’s best defense was “the cost of doing nothing is far too expensive. Second, we are now paying $3 trillion a year for health care in America. Over the next 10 years, it’s probably going to be $6 trillion.” lowlife-Harris was left arguing that we need to spend more in order to ensure that we don’t spend more. I don’t know if marijuana prosecutions and death row evidentiary decisions will be enough to derail lowlife-Harris’s presidential campaign. But I do know that these sorts of examples are real complications to the image lowlife-Harris wants to project, which is that of tough prosecutor who’s on the side of the typical Democratic presidential primary voter. Tulsi Gabbard — who seems to have a genuine animosity towards lowlife-Harris — ate her Wheaties before this debate and just ripped lowlife-Harris’s record as a prosecutor: “There are too many examples to cite, but she put over 1,500 people in jail for marijuana violations and then laughed about it when she was asked if she ever smoked marijuana.” That generated applause from the crowd in the Fox Theater in Detroit...  https://www.nationalreview.com/the-morning-jolt/slogging-our-way-through-the-democratic-debates/
loose lips liar-Joe Biden Played One Role in
the Wednesday Night Debate: Punching
Bag for the Others

by lifezette.com ~ It was obvious within mere minutes of the Wednesday night Democratic debate in Detroit, Michigan. Former Vice President loose lips liar-Joe Biden tried hard, in his opening lines, to speak forcefully... and with focus about his hopes for the November 2020 election. After all, he had vowed recently that after the drubbing he took last time around from Sen. lowlife-Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), he would be tougher this time, wouldn’t be as nice. It didn’t work that way.Almost immediately, beginning with a verbal tiff he got into with lowlife-Harris on health care policy details, the others on stage also went after him for one issue or another — and that pattern continued for the duration of the Wednesday night event. He was a convenient target. He flubbed some words and couldn’t always get his thoughts out smoothly.  At times, the CNN-hosted debate was uncomfortable, though fascinating, to watch. loose lips liar-Biden even — in his closing statement — told people who wanted to make donations to his campaign, “Go to loose lips liar-Joe 30330 and help me in this fight.” He presumably meant to say, “Text JOIN to 30330.” That flub “lit up” social media. Early in the evening, Sen. scumbag-Cory Booker (D-N.J.) — who needed a strong showing on Wednesday — lashed into loose lips liar-Biden on everything from health care issues to immigration to criminal justice reform, as did the others. At one point, scumbag-Booker called out loose lips liar-Biden for dodging questions about specific advice the former vice president might have given on deportation and illegal immigration issues to former President Barack scumbag/liar-nObama...

Marianne Williamson most-searched
candidate during debate
by Emily Larsen
washingtonexaminer.com } ~ Author and spiritual guru Marianne Williamson was the most-searched candidate during Tuesday night's Democratic presidential debate in 49 states, according to Google... Before the debate, Vermont Sen. commie-Bernie Sanders and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth dinky-Warren took up most search interest. Williamson took most interest in every state but Montana, where presidential candidate Steve Bullock is governor, during the debate. Nationwide, commie-Sanders and dinky-Warren retained the number two and number three spots. Though Williamson got fewer minutes of speaking time than many other candidates on the stage, she stood out with memorable lines condemning how those in the political establishment talk about issues. "If you think any of this wonkiness is going to deal with this dark psychic force of the collectivized hatred that this president is bringing up in this country, then I’m afraid that the Democrats are going to see some very dark days,” Williamson said, referencing President Trump. Search interest for "dark psychic force" spiked after her line. “The issue of gun safety, of course, is the NRA has us in a choke hold, the pharmaceutical companies, the health insurance companies, so do the fossil fuel companies, and so do the defense contractors,” Williamson later said. Several conservative commentators talked up Williamson's debate performance. California Sen. lowlife-Kamala Harris' national press secretary, Ian Sams, also praised Williamson: "Preach it, Marianne," he tweeted during the debate.   https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/marianne-williamson-most-searched-candidate-during-debate

After Mueller, Accountability Is a Must

Harold Hutchison:  With two rounds of testimony last week, Robert Mueller played out the last act of his investigation. His team concluded that Russia did interfere in the 2016 election, but that there was no evidence Donald Trump colluded. However, the report from his investigation did insinuate that there might have been obstruction of justice — even without an underlying crime or, well, any proof of obstruction.

The fact is, Russia did try to interfere in our elections, but it seems to have been primarily to stir the pot and to gin up and/or exacerbate the mutual hostility between Americans of differing political views that has become a hallmark of politics today. In that, Moscow’s operation succeeded — at least as far as 2016 and 2018 go.

Not that Russia isn’t paying a price. Georgia and the Ukraine have received the FGM-148 Javelin anti-tank missile, for starters, making Russian aggression against them a more costly proposition. But the military aid is missing the big move — Trump’s support of natural-gas production and exports.

However, the Mueller probe raised myriad more questions as it tried to find answers. Those questions deserve to be answered. The fact is that the FBI’s counterintelligence powers were turned on a presidential campaign of a political party not in power in the United States. With no evidence of wrongdoing on Trump’s part vis-à-vis Russia emerging from that FBI investigation, in effect, Americans of a different political persuasion than the president in office at the time were spied on by their own government.

To say Americans deserve answers as to how we got to that point is putting it mildly. Had even half of this been done to the “Gitmo Bar” lawyers defending Guantanamo terrorists, we would never be hearing the end of it from The Washington Post, New York Times, CNN, MSNBC, etc. Keep in mind that the Gitmo Bar was giving al-Qaida access to our legal system to the detriment of efforts to keep this country safe. Hanoi Jane’s ack-ack gun photo-op is chicken feed compared to that.

Furthermore, this was done by an administration on whose watch the IRS harassed other political opponents of the president in power. Furthermore, as the FBI was unleashed on political opponents of the Democrat Party before, during, and after the 2016 election, we have also seen other stirrings — the John Doe investigations,  scumbag-Andrew Cuomo’s abuses against the NRA, and musings of turning RICO on opponents of the leftist environmental agenda. While one such thing could be an honest mistake and two such things becomes a suspicious coincidence, five such instances of the exercise of government power against opponents of the Left is more than adequate circumstantial evidence that something rotten is going on.

But there isn’t just circumstantial evidence. We also have the texts between the FBI’s Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, which made the infamous reference to an “insurance policy” in case Trump won. The contexts of the texts are comparable to the Mark Fuhrman tapes of O.J. Simpson fame in terms of raising reasonable doubt about the fairness of the investigation.

Worse, those who are supposed to be watchdogs are instead going along. Does anyone think that illicit lovebirds in the CIA exchanging texts about an “insurance policy” to protect enhanced interrogations should Barack scumbag/liar-nObama win the presidency in 2008 would get the same treatment from the press that Strzok and Page are getting now? Would an FBI counterintelligence investigation of the Gitmo Bar have been celebrated by the same outlets celebrating the likes of Strzok and Page?

If America still stands for equal justice under the law, then there must be a reckoning for the Mueller probe. If there isn’t, then many on the Right will assume the same posture articulated by Donny Deutsch on MSNBC, and with no small degree of justification. America can survive honest mistakes, but it cannot survive double standards of justice. We need answers and accountability on Mueller and Spygate, and soon.  ~The Patriot Post
