And here’s what I worry about, Chris. I think that our leadership wants to send us home at the end of the week and tell us to go campaign for the midterms and that we really won’t get these answers. John Bolton warns Iran 'there will be hell to pay'
if aggression continues: 'We will come after you'

{ foxnews.com } ~ National Security Adviser John Bolton delivered a no-holds-barred warning to Iran at a major summit in New York on Tuesday... telling the regime in a fiery speech that "we are watching, and we will come after you" and that there will be "hell to pay" if it continues on its current course. Bolton's saber-rattling remarks came hours after President Trump, in his own dramatic address to the U.N. General Assembly, called on "all nations to isolate Iran's regime as long as its aggression continues." Tensions have dramatically escalated in recent weeks between Iran and the U.S., as well as its regional allies. Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has claimed that an attack Saturday at an Iranian military parade, which left dozens of Iranian military personnel dead, was carried out by militants trained by Israel and the Gulf states, and supported by the U.S. On Tuesday, a threatening video showing a simulated Iranian ballistic missile strike on Israel and Saudi Arabia was posted to the Twitter account of the semiofficial state Fars News Agency, before it was quickly deleted. And a top military official in Iran warned the U.S. and Israel on Monday that there would be a “devastating” response to the parade attack...IRS on undercover video:
Should have been harder on conservatives
{ wnd.com } ~ An Internal Revenue Service staffer says the agency should have been harder on conservatives during the 2012 election when applications for tax-exempt status were obstructed for political reasons... “Yeah, I don’t give a s— if that is a crime for doing that because … you should give increased scrutiny to those groups because a lot of them are just f—— fronts for the Koch brothers or whatever,” said Thomas Sheehy, an IRS tax examiner and member of the dummycrats-Democratic Socialists of American in Austin, Texas. The comments were captured by James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas undercover series of videos on the “deep state.” The first three videos were released last week, and at least two people who appeared in them have been disciplined. The fourth video features two IRS officials “who candidly discuss the IRS’s unfair treatment of conservative non-profit groups.” They are Thomas Sheehy, an IRS tax examiner and member of the Austin dummycrats-Democratic Socialists of America in Texas, and Jerry Semasek, an IRS attorney in Washington, D.C. Sheehy praises a former IRS official for hiding evidence. “John Koskinen. He got a lot of flak for giving increased scrutiny to these tea party groups. Kavanaugh accuser demands limited press
outlets of her choice be allowed in Senate hearing
{ gopusa.com } ~ Christine Blasey Ford’s lawyers have asked senators to limit the press who will be allowed in the room to cover Thursday’s hearing... with her and Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and sought to dictate at least some of the outlets. Coverage is one of a number of issues Ms. Blasey Ford’s lawyers are negotiating with Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee. Michael Bromwich said in emails sent Tuesday afternoon that he was requesting access for three “robocams,” three specific wire services, photographers from the Associated Press, Reuters and one unspecified service, and a pool reporter for newspapers and magazines. In a follow-up email he specified that the robocams should be operated by “the CSPAN TV pool,” and said he also wanted space for a radio reporter. Those emails were among several seen by The Washington Times detailing the tense negotiations between Ms. Blasey Ford’s team and committee staff...This lawyer and Ford have no bases for altering decision.

Mike Pompeo Talks Threats to the U.S. Posed by Russia and China

This belief by the media and dummycrats-Democrats is solely based on a conspiracy theory hatched by the liar-Clinton campaign in 2016. On the other hand, China is engaged in a massive military buildup and is seizing the shipping lanes in the South China Sea, setting up an opportunity to hold trade in the Asia-Pacific region hostage. But China is not even a blip on the radar of the dummycrats-Democrats. Come to think of it, dummycrats-Democrats don’t even have a radar when it comes to foreign policy. They just have their silly hopes and dreams, coupled with an assurance that Donald Trump’s election was somehow not fair. Even some members of President Trump’s cabinet have been a bit dopey about this question, but we’re not here to talk about Nikki Haley. We’re here to talk about Mike Pompeo. Why is Anyone a Socialist?

{ townhall.com } ~ Socialism is the most discredited ideology in the history of political thought. That’s assuming you don’t count cannibalism as an ideology.
During the last century, socialist ideologues killed, tortured and starved innocent people on a heretofore unimaginable scale.
R.J. Rummel estimates that almost 170 million people were killed in the 20th century by their own governments. These were not deaths in war. They were the victims of genocide. The vast majority were killed by socialist governments, including the national socialists Nazis in Germany.
If socialism means anything it means a rejection of the Jeffersonian idea that you have a right to pursue your own happiness. Socialists believe you have no such right. Instead, you have an obligation to live for others. As a practical matter, that means you have an obligation to live for the state.
Why would anyone believe that? And why are so many Democrats now donning the “socialist” label. In a recent poll more Democrats were positive about socialism (57 percent) than about capitalism (47 percent).
Let’s try out three possibilities.
Are people socialists because they believe in equality of income? Socialists talk a lot about inequality under capitalism. But where does one find the most grotesque inequality? It’s under socialism.
-Chinese communist leader Mao Tse-tung was the greatest mass murderer in world history, causing at least 45 million people to be worked, starved or beaten to death. On his death, Mao Tse-tung was worth an estimated $1 billion.-The world’s second greatest mass murderer, Josef Stalin, killed 20 million, many by forced starvation. Some regard him as one of the wealthiest people of all time.-Between 1 and 3 million people starved to death under the regime of North Korea dictator Kim Jong-il. A UN report estimates that 18 million North Koreans go to bed hungry every night under the regime of his son, Kim Jong Un, including 1.3 million children under the age of five. Meanwhile, Kim managed to slip by international sanctions and import $2.09 billion in luxury goods from China between 2012 and 2014, according to The New York Times. The items included Mercedes-Benz S-Class cars and a luxury yacht worth as much as $6 million.-Fidel Castro’s former bodyguard Juan Reinaldo Sánchez says that the communist leader “lived like a king” and “ran the country like a cross between medieval overlord and Louis XV.” While ordinary Cubans stood in breadlines, Castro had his own private yacht and his own private island. In Havana, he lived in an immense estate with a rooftop bowling alley, a basketball court and fully equipped medical center.-During the reign of avowed Marxist Hugo Chavez, Venezuela drowned in a sea of corruption according to the Economist. Yet while ordinary people faced food shortages, skyrocketing inflation and abject poverty, Chavez’s daughter, María Gabriela Chávez, had bank accounts in the U.S. and Andorra with assets totaling nearly $4.2 billion– making her the richest person in the country.-Following Chavez’s death, things have gotten worse. While the people in power are wearing Rolex watches, flying around on private planes and enjoying lavish parties, children are dying of malnutrition and lack of medical care and searching through trash cans trying to find food.
Anyone who cares about equality must find these revelations morally abhorrent. But when is the last time you heard an American socialist, or even a liberal, complain about them?
Are people socialists because they object to the exploitation of workers? A cardinal tenet of Marxism is the idea that workers do not get to keep the value of what they produce. Instead, the capitalists extract a surplus from them – that is little better than theft.
Marx wrote several decades before the development of the economic concept of marginalism usually associated with Alfred Marshall. Today, all mainstream economists believe that workers get paid wages that are roughly equal to their marginal product the value of what they contribute to the products their employers sell.
However, there is one system under which workers are routinely paid less than the value of what they produce. It’s called socialism.
For example, Cuba pays its doctors the equivalent of $67 a month and nurses $25 – sums that must be far below any fair estimate of their economic contribution. The average monthly salary for all Cuban workers is $25, according to official statistics. Cuba also lends doctors to other countries – roughly 50,000 a year, including 30,000 in Venezuela. Although the government doesn’t say how much it pays its doctors on foreign soil, it is clearly less that what Cuba collects from the host countries: an $8.2 billion “profit” was expected in 2014 alone.
When is the last time you heard an American socialist, or even a liberal, complain about the exploitation of workers under socialism?
Are people socialists because they think socialism works? No one can seriously believe that. At the time North Korea and South Korea were divided, the populations were genetically the same and culturally the same. Consider these differences today:
-Average income in the south is more than ten times its level in the north.-North Koreans are 1 to 3 inches shorter – a fact that is most likely explained by food shortages in the north.-In North Korea, just one out of every ten people has a mobile phone. In South Korea, there are more mobile phones than there are people.-97% of the roads in North Korea are unpaved, compared to only 8% in the south.
Small wonder that people risk their lives to escape to the south. No one is risking anything to go north.
So why are so many dummycrats-Democrats identifying as socialists?
According to New York Times columnist Paul Krugman, the socialists aren’t really socialists after all. What dummycrats- Democrats like commie-Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and commie-Bernie Sanders really want is a liberal welfare state like Denmark, not a hell hole like Venezuela, he writes.
Yet Krugman is doubly wrong. It turns out that although Denmark has an extensive welfare state, it has one of the freest economies in the world. In fact, it ranks very high on the Fraser Institute’s economic freedom index. It ranks above America, for example, on protecting the right of private property.
And as for what motivates the left in this country, it isn’t their love of the welfare state. It’s their hatred of capitalism.
More than 200 years ago, Adam Smith explained the essence of a market economy this way:
"It is not from the benevolence of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker that we expect our dinner, but from their regard to their own interest."
In other words, the way you increase your income and wealth is by meeting other people’s needs. The more needs you meet and the better you meet them, the more successful you will be.
No matter how true this observation may be, there are many on the left who hate the idea that the best way to help yourself is by meeting the needs of others.
