Trump clarifies comments on foreign ‘dirt,’
says heat should be on Dems for 2016 spying

{ foxnews.com } ~ President Trump on Friday sought to clarify his controversial comments indicating he would take information on political rivals from foreign countries... saying on "Fox & Friends" that he could report such conversations to the FBI -- while arguing the heat should really be on Democrats for the alleged spying on his 2016 campaign. "If I was, and of course you have to look at it because if you don't look at it you're not going to know if it's bad ... of course you give it to the FBI or report it to the attorney general or somebody like that. But of course you’d do that, you couldn't have that happen with our country," he said. Trump had said in an interview with ABC News earlier this week that he would listen to information from foreign governments, saying that "there isn't anything wrong with listening." He also gave conflicting answers on whether he'd contact the FBI, saying at one point that he would not. On Friday, he seemed to say he'd report it to the FBI, at least if he sensed something was wrong. "If I thought anything was incorrect or badly stated, I'd report it to the attorney general, the FBI, I'd report it to law enforcement absolutely." But he also noted he is in constant contact with allies, such as during his recent trip to Europe where he spoke to Queen Elizabeth II, U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May and French President Emmanuel Macron. “We have many conversations, and I'm thinking gee if they say ‘we don’t like your opponent’ am I supposed to, the president of France, am I supposed to report him to the FBI?” he asked. Instead, he sought to bring attention back to the origins of the Russia probe, particularly the Democrat-funded anti-Trump dossier that was used by the FBI to begin surveillance on a Trump campaign aide. The Department of Justice is currently investigating its surveillance during the 2016 campaign, but Trump directly blamed the Democrats. "Here's the bottom line: they spied on my campaign and they got caught," he said. {westernjournal.com} ~ The U.S. Navy has released footage that purports to show Iranian forces in an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps a branch of Iran’s armed forces Gashti-class patrol boat removing an unexploded mine... from the M/T Kokuka Courageous while it was in the Gulf of Oman. Hours before, an explosion on the Courageous forced Navy destroyer to rescue the 21 crew members. They abandoned the ship when they saw what appeared to be a “probable unexploded limpet mine on their hull” after the initial explosion, according to a report from U.S. CENCTCOM. Initially, the Navy had received “two separate distress calls at 6:12 a.m. local time from the motor tanker (M/T) Altair and a second one at 7 a.m. local time from the M/T Kokuka Courageous. Both vessels were in international waters in the Gulf of Oman approximately 10 nautical miles apart at the time of the distress calls. USS Bainbridge was approximately 40 nautical miles away from the M/T Altair at the time of the attack, and immediately began closing the distance.” Shortly after that time, U.S. aircraft observed several IRGC boats in the vicinity of the Altair. Several hours later, after the crew had abandon the ship and been rescued, “an IRGC Gashti Class patrol boat approached the M/T Kokuka Courageous and was observed and recorded removing the unexploded limpet mine from the M/T Kokuka Courageous,” U.S CENTCOM reported.The response to the attacks could not have been more clear. “The U.S. and our partners in the region will take all necessary measures to defend ourselves and our interests,” U.S. CENTCOM stated. “Today’s attacks are a clear threat to international freedom of navigation and freedom of commerce.” “The U.S. and the international community stand ready to defend our interests, including the freedom of navigation. The United States has no interest in engaging in a new conflict in the Middle East. However, we will defend our interests.”After assessing the attacks, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo made a statement where he asserted, “It is the assessment of the U.S. government that Iran is responsible for today’s attacks in the Gulf of Oman” Iran told the UN on Thursday that it “categorically rejects the U.S. unfounded claim” that it was involved in the latest attacks in the Gulf of Oman.US Army War College Surrenders to CAIR

Nate Jackson: commie-Bernie Sanders gave what he billed as a big speech Wednesday extolling the “virtues” of democratic socialism. As Mark Alexander wrote on the centennial of the Bolshevik takeover of Russia in 2017, “Between 1917 and 1991, there were almost 150 million civilian casualties of communist dictatorships.” But not to worry; commie-Bernie says they’ve all just been doing it wrong and we should trust him to get socialism right.
Given the rising popularity of whatever Americans think socialism means, particularly among young people, Patriots should absolutely take commie-Sanders seriously. Either he will prevail as the Democrat nominee or he will continue to drive the entire Democrat Party further toward socialism. His “Medicare for All” proposal, for example, set the bar for the Democrat platform.
On that theme, commie-Sanders lauded the freedoms guaranteed by the Bill of Rights — with the notable exception of the right to keep and bear arms — but utterly corrupted the word “rights” to include a laundry list of “free” stuff he wants to buy with your money. He calls it “a 21st Century Economic Bill of Rights,” and he argues “you are not free” without free stuff.
Invoking Franklin Roosevelt and Lyndon Johnson to argue that Americans have long supported socialism, commie-Sanders asserted, “We must take on the unfinished business of the New Deal and carry it to completion.” But Democrats’ “Better Deal” is just Marxist socialism repackaged.
commie-Sanders, the man who spent his honeymoon in the Soviet Union, called for “political revolution” — which just happens to be the same thing the murderous Bolsheviks foisted on Russia in 1917. At the same time, he decried “massive attacks from those who attempt to use the word ‘socialism’ as a slur.” Heaven forbid we call it what it is.
It was particularly ironic that in the same week commie-Sanders gave his speech, two stories came out of socialist Venezuela that should serve as a warning: Gas shortages and sky-high food prices go along with the Reuters report that “Venezuela’s annual inflation dropped below 1 million percent in May for the first time since 2018.”
Remember the heady days of 2013 when commie-Bernie’s speechwriter, David Sirota, wrote an op-ed titled, “Hugo Chávez’s Economic Miracle”? Sanders would prefer you didn’t recall that, much less his own history of embracing socialist thugs. Maybe it’s just a “slur” to point it out.
What is actually a slur? Sanders arguing that the rise of the National Socialists in 1930s Germany was somehow “right wing” and akin to President Donald Trump’s brand of “America First” populism, which he labels “the forces of oligarchy and authoritarianism.”
commie-Sanders, the man who parlayed capitalism into a multimillion-dollar fortune and multiple homes all while selling socialism, attempted to distinguish himself from Trump. The president, he says, “believes in corporate socialism for the rich and powerful,” while Sanders fights for “a democratic socialism that works for the working families of this country.” Does he put his own money where his mouth is? No, he hypocritically pays lower tax rates because he only wants to be “generous” with your money.
On a final note, it is a particular affront to Liberty that commie-Sanders gave his socialist sermon at George Washington University, named for our Patriot Founding Father who led the battle against tyranny that American might be free. ~The Patriot Post
