Supreme Court paves way for Trump
administration to use military
funds for border wall
By Alex Pappas lifting a freeze put in place by a lower court that had halted its plans to use $2.5 billion in Pentagon funds to build a border wall. The decision, split along ideological lines, allows the administration to move ahead with plans to use military funds to replace existing fencing in California, Arizona and New Mexico with more robust fencing. The conservative justices on the court ruled in favor of the administration. Liberal justices Elena Kagan, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and Sonia Sotomayor dissented. And Justice Stephen Breyer issued a split decision, agreeing in part with both sides. The president celebrated the ruling on Twitter: "Wow! Big VICTORY on the Wall. The United States Supreme Court overturns lower court injunction, allows Southern Border Wall to proceed. Big WIN for Border Security and the Rule of Law!" The ruling means the Trump administration can tap the funds and begin work on four contracts it has awarded. A trial court initially froze the funds in May and an appeals court kept that freeze in place earlier this month. The Trump administration had asked the Supreme Court to take up the issue. Earlier this month, a divided three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco agreed with a lower court ruling that prevented the government from tapping Defense Department counterdrug money to build high-priority sections of the planned wall in Arizona, California, and New Mexico...

Tom Cotton Rips Democrats
Over Death Penalty Opposition
by WILLIAM DAVISCotton pointed out that one of the five men set to be executed is a white supremacist, who was convicted of murdering three people in Cotton’s home state of Arkansas, including an eight-year-old girl. “worthless-Ayanna Pressley defending an Aryan Nation white supremacist who brutally murdered an 8-year-old girl & her parents & dumped their bodies in a bayou is a little surprising,” Cotton said in response to Democratic Massachusetts Rep. worthless-Ayanna Pressley, who said that “the death penalty has no place in a just society.” Cotton similarly criticized Rep. worthless-Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, and Senators lowlife-Kamala Harris of California, commie-Bernie Sanders of Vermont, and Elizabeth dinky-Warren of Massachusetts. While the death penalty has never been illegal in the U.S., there has not been a federal execution since 2003 under President George W. Bush’s administration. After re-instating capital punishment, Barr quickly ordered the execution of five inmates on death row, all of whom have been convicted of murdering children, among other crimes.

Do You Understand that Democrats
will Destroy America?

{ americanthinker.com } ~ I earn my living investing other people’s money in the stock market. I am terrified contemplating how I am going to save my clients’ money, as well as my own, if a Democrat is elected president... The policies that the Democrats are advocating will destroy the American economy, not just the stock market, but the whole US economy. My first instinct will be to raise cash ahead of the stock market crash, but even that is only a temporary safe harbor. The Green New Deal, renewed regulations, Medicare for All, free college, as well as the 70-90% tax rates proposed by Democrats, will tank the stock market and US economic growth, leading to higher unemployment and reduced wage gains. All these programs require higher taxes and not just the soak the rich fantasy of the 70-90% rates. Most of the Democratic candidates have pledged to roll back the 2017 Republican tax cuts that fueled the renewal of economic growth in the US. Open borders will flood the US with poverty stricken immigrants and their competition for jobs will depress wages. The social welfare needs of the immigrants will skyrocket government expenditures. So while taxes receipts are falling due to slower economic growth rates, expenditures will be rising, leading to increased government debt and consequently higher interest rates. If the Federal Reserve tries to keep interest rates low to prevent a deepening recession, then the increase in the money supply and the expanding deficit will eventually destroy the value of the dollar. So much for my safe harbor in cash. Milton Friedman pointed out over a decade ago, you cannot have open borders and a social welfare state…the supply of immigrants will become infinite. Virtually all of the Democratic candidates have advocated for opening the border to all who want to come. All the Democratic candidates on the second night of the debate supported free health benefits for illegal immigrants and several have advocated for free college for all. But even without these additional incentives, the level of living available in the US, even to the poorest Americans, far exceeds what many of the world’s peoples can hope for in their own countries. No one starves in America. Our poor have cars, large screen TVs, air conditioning, video games for their kids and eat better than the average GI in World War II. This is an invitation to all the world’s poor to come to the US in unlimited numbers. All you need is to get to our southern border. The number of people living in poverty in Latin America in 2017 was 184 million. But immigration will not be limited to the poverty stricken in our own hemisphere. There are 750 million people who live below the international poverty line of $1.90 a day. By that standard, those coming from Latin America are not the most desperate. People will find a way to come to the US from Africa, possibly trafficked by cartels and other criminal gangs, as are many coming from Latin America now. Have you ever wondered how poverty stricken people manage to travel 1400 miles, often with children and obtain food and water for the trip, and then arrive at our southern border in non-ragged clothes? Since May of this year, 1100 illegal immigrants from Africa were interdicted at the southern US border. More will be coming. With open borders, the economy of the US will sink under the demands for social services to be provided for a population that will overwhelm citizens living here now. But those advocating open borders do not put America first. They are “citizens of the world” and feel it is unfair that Americans have a higher standard of living than others. They will ensure that we don’t for much longer. The race for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination is quickly becoming a contest to determine which candidate wants to tax the rich the most. Democratic candidates have been attracted to Congresswoman commie-Ocasio-Cortez’s proposal to tax incomes over $10 million at a 70% rate. Not to be outdone, worthless-Ilhan Omar has proposed a 90% top rate. But what are the benefits and costs of these proposals beyond the fun of calling to soak the rich?...

At a Capitol Hill news conference late Friday morning, the California Democrat acknowledged that she had “differences” with Rep. commie-Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, the most visible member of liar-Pelosi’s party in recent months. But she stressed how much Democrats had in common — “It’s like you’re in a family,” she said. Well, if liar-Pelosi wants the American people to view her in a sisterhood with commie-Ocasio-Cortez and her “squad,” she’s just played right into President Donald Trump’s hands. At the news conference, liar-Pelosi fielded a question about a closed-door meeting she had with commie-Ocasio-Cortez for about 30 minutes on Friday morning — and her answer spoke volumes. When a reporter asked if the two had “buried the hatched,” liar-Pelosi responded, “I don’t think there was any hatchet.” So, all is unity in the left-wing world, world, right? It was essentially the same message liar-Pelosi gave reporters after the confab. “I don’t think we have that many differences,” the speaker said early Friday morning in quick comments on her way to the House floor, according to Politico. The private meeting between the two most public faces of the current Democratic Party might have given liberals some reason to hope opposition to Trump could unify their supporters. But while a liar-Pelosi/commie-AOC united front might make Democrats happy, it would also be exactly what Trump and his re-election campaign should be hoping for...

"Let’s subpoena all of the records having to do with scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton and all of the nonsense that went on with scumbag/liar-Clinton and her foundation and everything else." scumbag/liar-nObama and former first lady Michelle scumbag/liar-nObama signed lucrative book deals with Penguin Random House in 2017 after they left office. The terms of the agreement were not disclosed. It is not uncommon for presidents to sign book deals to write a memoir upon leaving office. Former President George W. Bush signed a deal with Crown Publishing in 2009. In a bizarre criticism later in the media availability, Trump complained about a new air conditioning system he said was installed in the West Wing during the scumbag/liar-nObama administration. "It was so good before they did the system," said Trump, who would not have worked in the West Wing with the old system. "Now that they did the system, it’s freezing or hot in here."...

Democrats Demand Economy-Killing Marxist Wages
Louis DeBroux: As they try desperately to build a narrative to justify tossing President Donald Trump out of the White House next year, Democrats have made a couple of unforced and embarrassing errors over the last week.
We saw socialist hero Sen. commie-Bernie Sanders’s campaign staff turn on him. After years of railing against evil corporations and their “starvation wages,” commie-Sanders’s staff last week went to the media to expose him for paying them less than the $15/hour he is demanding of American companies.
After griping about his staff going to the press, commie-Sanders announced raises to meet the $15/hour mark … though many staffers will see their hours cut to offset the additional cost.
Republican Congressman Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) captured the hilarity of the situation asking, “So does this fall under the category of hypocrisy, irony, or poetic justice? All three? Can’t make this stuff up.”
Poor commie-Bernie, the millionaire socialist who didn’t get his first paying job until he was nearly 40 (and even that job was on the taxpayer time), and who never ran a business, is discovering in his 70s some very basic economic lessons.
Yet as embarrassing as commie-Sanders’s exposed hypocrisy was, more damaging is the demand by freshman Democrat Rep. worthless-Rashida Tlaib. On Sunday night, speaking to the Restaurant Opportunities Center of Michigan and the labor-rights group One Fair Wage, Tlaib called for a $20/hour minimum wage, blowing past the current Democrat demand of $15/hour.
Said worthless-Tlaib, “Think about that for one minute. People cannot live on those kind of wages, and I can’t allow people to be living off tips, you know, relying on tips for wages. It’s just not enough to support our families. … It should be $20 an hour — $18 to $20 an hour at this point. … They say all of this is going to raise the cost, but I can tell you, milk has gone up. Eggs have gone up. Everything has gone up.”
Two things jump out in those comments.
First, worthless-Tlaib says she “can’t allow people to be living off tips, you know, relying on tips for wages.” That is the essence of the “progressive” Democrat mindset; the belief that they are more intelligent than their fellow humans, and therefore have a right to dictate what people can and cannot do. Forget the free market, forget the right to contract for your labor. Forget that most who work for tips earn well above minimum wage. No, Democrats want to control those decisions.
Second, the $15/hour wage demanded by Democrats more than doubles the current minimum wage, and a $20/hour minimum wage would nearly triple it. The proposal is detached from the laws of economics and human nature.
If it’s not, then why not a $20/hour minimum wage? In fact, why not $30, or $50, or $1,000 an hour? If there are no negative consequences for raising the minimum wage, then set it at $1,000/hour. Just think… with a $1,000/hour minimum wage, we could have a nation of unskilled workers making $2 million per year! We’d all be rich! Of course, milk would be $500/gallon, but who cares?
Of course, that is ludicrous. Economic history shows us that jumps in the minimum wage result in lost jobs and reduced hours. Some benefit, but others suffer. According to an analysis by the Congressional Budget Office, raising the federal minimum wage to $15/hour would result in the loss of up to 3.7 million jobs, and a loss of $9 billion in family income.
Democrat presidential candidates should be forced to take a stand on Tlaib’s proposal at the next debate. Do they appeal to sane moderates and independents, or kowtow to their radical base?
President Donald Trump must be absolutely giddy with the Democrat Party. Demands for massive, job-killing increases in the minimum wage, the economy-crushing Green New Deal, open borders, free health care for illegals, Medicare for All — all of these things are alienating independent voters and even moderate Democrats.
With a Republican-controlled Senate, these proposals have zero chance of making it to President Trump’s desk. But they do have the benefit of exposing just how radically left the Democrat Party has veered, and that can only help Trump and the Republicans in the 2020 election.
